"Forum Log"

I have an idea. I think there should be a "forum log" to show when someone has posted a message, or if a thread has been locked.

Example:
Maxtopia lodged a message in the thread "Sample"
Mr. Moderator locked the thread "Lock this"

I personally don't think this is a great idea.

Not only does it seem like it could fill up very quickly and be impossible to track and find things you're interested in, but think of the potential if there were spam attacks:

"12:01 Mr. Spammer posted new thread 'Lizard People Rule the World'"
"12:01 Mr. Spammer posted new thread 'Lizard People Rule the World'"
"12:02 Mr. Spammer posted new thread 'Lizard People Rule the World'"

It seems like it would cause more work for the mods.

I think it's enough that we can already be notified if someone replies to us in a conversation we're engaged in, if we choose.

This exists, but I think it's only visible to mods. And actually I'm not sure it lists every post. It lists every edit, threadlock, etc.

I can confirm that this is only visible to mods.

I used to be able to access it (so I know where to look), but nowadays it's not there anymore
