I am trying to find a source confirming this but apparently due to Air Traffic Control staff shortages the FAA has closed La Guardia Airport in NYC. While this is a bad thing for many if this it what it takes to end the shutdown so be it.

And here is a source confirming it: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... c-staffing

RIP the worst airport in the world. I assume this is a very temporary death, but still, let's all have a moment of silence.

I second it’s a terrible airport. I’ve been there. It’s still a big deal as it’s a very busy airport. Plus there are also delays at newarknand Philadelphia due to staff shortages

When asked for a comment, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross said this isn't a big deal because transport of people and goods through La Guardia airport make up less than a hundred of a percent of our GDP. He went on to say that he also didn’t understand why people didn't simply just use their private jets until things are resolved.

Not quite yet, the spending bill hasn't been passed. Since trump coming to an agreement and then pulled out at the last minute is how we got here, don't call it to early.

Pelosi is not giving him his wall. It doesn’t have the votes to pass either chamber
