As we enter into day 4 of the investigation a dramatic turn of events have unfolded that now show that calva was partially to blame for the incident after the chunk of space debris that collided with the residential district in Zargos, The debris part in question is an old booster from the now defunct chemical and biological ICBM program that was shut down earlier this year. Now in the strange turn of events, the ex-staff of the program are being held personally accountable for along with the previous leader of Calva, Magnus Göransson.

The trial will be a historic attempt to bring justice for the families and introduce new rulings that will help Calva cut back its space debris emissions. In the meantime, the investigation of the other sites continues on slowly as debris from the destroyed market at Alinghälla and a freak sand storm outside of the capitol hamper progress. Department Of Finance And Economic Development Addresses The Current Situation With The Annual Increase Of Humanitarian Aid To Overseas

Sunrisia has had this long historic tradition of increasing humanitarian aid to the developing world, along with devastated and war-torn parts of the planet. This goal has not always been met based on either the country’s individual capabilities or because of disruption by some unfortunate historical events in Sunrisia itself or just directly concerning Sunrisia. The Department of Finance and Economic Development of the Sunrisian Second Republic has addressed whether this habit would be upheld in the current historical chapter, to which Minister of Finance and Economic Development Díva Plénâta responded herself:

“What is certain is that we will not be decreasing it. That is the administration’s current stance. As for the increase, it is still early to tell because we would be putting a lot on our shoulders. "It is with this information do I move forward a motion to condemn the self-declared state of the Hasperan Republic as well as encourage the nations of Corentia to make it known that such barbarism will not be tolerated in this day in age"

The support for Rep. Marco Böckler has already been met with a wave of bipartisan support, with some fringe elements even suggesting that military action be taken against the rogue state as well as formally recognizing the malignant Republic as a state sponsor of terrorism. "It is actions like this that show that no one, not even the region of Corentia is immune to these types of authoritarian regimes manifesting themselves within." Citing the recent conflicts that have erupted over the months in the Corentian continent.

In a brief press conference, a spokesperson representing the Premier had this to say "After consulting a number of diplomatic and military advisers this decision was made in respect to our own foreign policy. This is not an attempt to drive a wedge between the relations that this government has with Belantica, nor is it to force our nation into hostilities with that of the Kaiserreich." Some within opposition parties have moved to criticize this move, believing that such recognition would further degrade the already distant diplomatic relations between the Kaiserreich and Kiez while also somewhat damaging the relations already established with that of Belantica, however people close to the Premier such as Chancellor Maxis have refuted these claims, with the Chancellor maintaining that this decision was made in line with the Foreign Policy of the Richtofen Administration.

President-Turned-Soldier Nóv Fáustîtár Killed During An Abduction Attempt By North Baggnagian Agents And Soldiers On The Border Between South And North Baggnagia

The North Baggnagian dictatorship has inflicted its’ first fatality on Sunrisia, specifically the military, as was expected because of the risk that the armed forces are taking by being on a frontline. A company of agents and soldiers from North Baggnagia have trespassed into South Baggnagia across the border during the night in a stealth tactic. The trespassers sent by the regime of North Baggnagian Chief of State Fran Hapénic, clearly had a specific objective, because they went by unnoticed on the border that is heavily militarized on both sides and under strong monitoring. It is now being concluded that the specific objective was the abduction of either Sunrisian or South Baggnagian soldiers, likely as P.O.W’s, ransom, information or all of it.

The target chosen was President-turned-Soldier Nóv Fáustîtár, who ultimately perished in the enemy ambush. A distracted Fáustîtár was abducted by the North Baggnagian attackers, however, the kidnapping did not go by smoothly, as Fáustîtár began to fight back, including opening fire, and caused enough noise for Sunrisian and South Baggnagian soldiers to react and intervene. However, the reaction was not fast enough to save Fáustîtár, who suffered fatal stab wounds with a military grade knife by one or several of the North Baggnagian attackers. Reportedly he died right on the spot. The intervening South Baggnagian and Sunrisian soldiers attempted to apprehend the North Baggnagians, but they fought back fiercely. Either they believed they could escape or the regime did not give them an option to be captured. The North Baggnagians fought back all the way, before they were all ultimately gunned down.

Nóv Fáustîtár is another recent casualty from politicians or former politicians. Not long ago, Sánît Béâtídá, Sûc Médelâ, Aélior Válétûdâ and Sálût Gáudâr were murdered in a terrorist attack by Oculus in Edereon, where the politicians participated in a public forum. The locals that were taken hostage survived and their release was negotiated, but the foreign guest politicians died after resisting the terrorist takeover.

At the end of his life, Nóv Fáustîtár was a soldier. He was the second President of the Democratic Union of Sunrisia and the only President of the Provisional Republic. He resigned, de facto was peacefully overthrown, after mass Neo-Isolationist and Nationalist protests in Sunrisia and sought treatment for his addiction to painkillers in rehab. Nóv Fáustîtár later enlisted in the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) and received permission to be stationed and serve overseas. Fáustîtár did not serve in the military before so technically his allegiance was only to the Sunrisian Second Republic in his lifetime.

SILCENDA, NORTH BAGGNAGIA – His Excellency Chief of State Fran Hapénic has congratulated the North Baggnagian Holy Army and the Nation’s Special Services for a successful destruction of at least one imperialist soldier from Demonic Sunrisia in Baggnagian southern half. The troops of the North Baggnagian Holy Army were humbled and honored by the attention and personal congratulations from the Great Leader. His Excellency Chief of State Fran Hapénic has honored the fallen troops and agents who were murdered in cold blood by Southern traitors and their Sunrisian imperialist masters. The Great Leader of the entire Baggnagian nation reminded that those troops and agents died for an honorable cause of attempting to drive out the dark Sunrisian imperialists and reunite the Baggnagian nation to begin the nation’s advance into a new tomorrow. The chosen prophet nation of Baggnagia is destined to spread the light into the dark world and His Excellency Chief of State Fran Hapénic is the Mesiah chosen by the gods. He carries that light and will spread that light after having personally eradicated all darkness in North Baggnagia by himself.

The honored fallen of North Baggnagia were said to claim one of the demonic soldiers of Sunrisia to be brought into the blessed land of North Baggnagia. The intention was for His Excellency Chief of State Fran Hapénic to perform and exorcism of sorts and hopefully liberate the body of the imperialist soldier from the devil that has overtaken him. In case of failure which is impossible to imagine at the hands of the Great Leader the imperialist soldier would have been removed from this plane of existence to end his suffering. It is unfortunate that the Southern traitors and their Sunrisian masters prevented this rescue from demonic possession by the Great Leader of at least one cursed Sunrisian devil. The cleansing of at least one devil could have brought hope for Sunrisians themselves to be liberated from this evil and for the rest of the demonic soldiers to even be re-convinced. But this would have ruined the devil’s entire plan so the Southern traitors and their Sunrisian masters made sure to prevent this. The honored fall were murdered in cold blood. It is said that one of the honored fallen has attempted to liberate the Sunrisian soldier from the devil on the spot by even putting his own life at stake. The honored fallen soldier used the knife to cut open the Sunrisian shell and drive the devil out of it. The propaganda of Demonic Sunrisia blamed the honored soldier of murdering the Sunrisian by giving him “fatal stab wounds.” Of course the devil’s descendants on this plane would purposefully refuse to recognize the ritual used to liberate the imperialists themselves from the devil. ENGLEAN MILITARY STATIONS NUCLEAR CAPABLE ARTILLARY ALONG SOUTHERN BORDER

GOLDENDALE - The Department of Defense has raised alarms about what they say is a huge buildup of Englean troops and artillery pieces along the northern border that could signal the preemptive stages of an invasion or some other kind of military action.

While the military presence along both sides of the border is undisputed, many are questioning the sudden build-up of Englean troops, however, what is sounding the alarm bells is the specific type of artillery being deployed to the north. The so-called "Atomic Anne" is an 84 foot, 290mm, heavy towed cannon, capable of launching nuclear artillery shells with a payload of 5kt. Both the Kaiserriech and the USO have quartered troops along the border for decades, with the Perry Line on the Ouraiconian side and the Schutzprovinz Anhelt on the Englean side. These canons have been deployed on the borders of the Kaiserreichs "hostile" neighbors, however, this is the first time such cannons have been used on the southern border. What is most worrying is that the coastal city of Saint Douglas, Ouraicons 10th largest city with a population of 3.3 million, is well within range of these guns. This comes in lieu of several large scale drills on the northern border by the Engleans, and with the ongoing investigation into the Embassy Incident, as well as the rise of tensions with Weypel for revoking Englean bases in the nation, many are fearing for the worst.

President Shaw released a statement shortly after the news broke saying quote: "It is clear as day that the sudden and unwarranted buildup at our northern border is a kneejerk response to events that should not warrant an escalation to the nuclear level. The BFI is working with Englean Embassy staff to resolve the unfortunate incident that took place last week and from what I have heard, this investigation is going smoothly. I cannot speak for our friends in Weypel but I can see nothing wrong with what they are doing in regards to their choice in basing rights. I wholeheartedly believe that our Englean friends are in no way being malicious, but are simply scared. While I strongly disapprove of the way the Kasierreich is run, this administration does not wish harm upon the people of Engleberg. That being said this sudden escalation cannot go unchallenged. While the border is and will remain militarized, we have not placed nuclear-capable weapons anywhere in the Perry Line, we simply wish for the same to be said for the southern portion of the Schutzprovinz Anhelt.

South Baggnagia condemns murder and trespass from the North Baggnagian side

JUGAC, SOUTH BAGGNAGIA – The government of South Baggnagia has condemned what it called a “national security blackmail” from its totalitarian neighbor North Baggnagia. The condemnation comes from President Dobrin Nóvak, Minister of Defense Vojtěch Wylem Bětnar, Minister of Foreign and Ventismarian Affairs Jurij Zéjler-Leichhardt and the Chamber of Deputies among others. These were the lairs of the government required to respond logically but other officials did not hold back in expressing their own view of North Baggnagian actions as public servants and as citizens of South Baggnagia. President Dobrin Nóvak called Sunrisian President Válîd Sâlúbĕr and requested for a personal meeting with General Pártên Câstódél who commands the Sunrisian forces in South Baggnagia.

These mass condemnations are referring to the trespass by troops and agents from North Baggnagia that sneak through the common border into South Baggnagia. They attempt to abduct one of the enemy soldiers and Nóv Fáustîtár was chosen by them. This man was the President of the Provisional Republic of Sunrisia before being overthrown with protests with no violence. The last part of his life was spent not as a politician but a soldier serving the Sunrisian Second Republic. South Baggnagian and Sunrisian allied soldiers tried saving Nóv Fáustîtár when his kidnapping attempt by the North Baggnagians was exposed. Unfortunately the rescue was unsuccessful. Although the North Baggnagians were shot and killed in their attack they did not go out without murder. Nóv Fáustîtár was stabbed to death by one of the North Baggnagians before they were all taken down.

This incident ending with murder alarmed the Chamber of Deputies and South Baggnagian cabinet officials for many reasons. The response of the North Baggnagian state media and propaganda machine left many in an uncomfortable sense of shock to say the least. The killing was actually celebrated by the regime and described in the media almost as an exorcist ritual of sorts. Experts in information warfare and propaganda say that the North Baggnagian leadership is without a doubt building a different reality inside North Baggnagian borders and a twisted perception of the surrounding world.

South Baggnagian officials say that this abduction attempt poses a new challenge. The government is not ruling out that North Baggnagia may start abducting not only politicians or soldiers but also common citizens of South Baggnagia. This poses a national security threat of a different level that the military with allied Sunrisian help is not able to defend from so easily. North Baggnagian agents posing as South Baggnagians may attempt to infiltrate South Baggnagia not only for spying or recruitment but also to abduct citizens. Officials raising this possibility say that their intention is not fear-mongering but in advance awareness in the public. Raising this issue early is positively presented as awareness in South Baggnagia of all threats and preparedness to resist them before any damage is done. Appropriate forces and services are already working on foiling all such attempts and the government says that it was a fortunate strategic mishap from North Baggnagia that exposed their possible plan for kidnappings in South Baggnagia. Critics in the opposition and public say that it is still wrong for the South Baggnagian government to frighten citizens before any actual problem with mass kidnapping happened and to create unsupported conspiracies.

North Rukonian's Charged With Human Trafficking in Sting Operation

Five North Rukonian nationals have been arrested and charged after a joint National Police and Customs and Border Patrol sting operation recently broke up a major human trafficking ring. Police began the investigating possible human trafficking after numerous Misiraqi nationals were found being smuggled via motorboat into Ashukal proper by the CBP. Following a few month's investigations, it was discovered that as many as twenty-six individuals were participating, including the five Rukonians, in the illegal seizure and transport of foreign citizens into Ashukal.

Most of the trafficked people's were young women and girls, and they had been kept in poor conditions in at least three warehouses on the southern coast of Ashukal. Police believe, based on available evidence, that Ashukal was not the intended final destination for the trafficked peoples. Rather, Ashukal was a stop-over for them to be housed until further methods of transport could be secured. The intended destinations of the women and girls is at present unknown, but it is likely that they would have been transported into other countries in either Ventismar or Ophion.

Currently, most of the detained are awaiting their trial dates, but one such person, a Rukonian by the name of Injar Ernsi, has utilized his one phone call to start a social media campaign to secure his release. In a number of social media posts, made by friends on his behalf, he states that his arrest was "politically motivated" and that he broke no laws and was not involved in the trafficking ring. He claims that police arrested him, saddling him with the charges, as a warning to North Rukonia proper over its decision to join the Ventismarian Union.

"Ashukal is scared of the VU." Said one of the posts in question. "They think that the VU will choke out their economy. They're Muslim, the VU is mostly Christian. So they think the VU will grow until it surrounds their country, denying them access until they convert. They're trying to block Rukonia from entering the VU with threats to try and stop its spread. I'm an innocent man that they've arrested as a warning shot."

Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Khabrai, dismissed such claims on his own social media accounts. "Mr. Ernsi's claims are bit ridiculous. Ashukal has issues currently with the Ventismarian Union itself nor any of its member states. The decision of North Rukonia to enter the organization as a full member is perfectly valid and within their power as a sovereign nation. Ashukal itself does not see the growth of the VU as dangerous at this time either. Rather it is simply another example of the organizations success. Mr. Ernsi is presently under investigation as a criminal, involved with the illegal transport and possible sale of human beings to foreign nations, and will be investigated to the fulles extent of the law. If he truly is innocent, then he will be released and all charges will be dropped. Rest assured that justice, whether he is guilty or not, will be served."

With the recognition of the Ile du Fleurs (IdF) as an independent country by the nation of Daredland, independence-wishers have restarted their push for further autonomy and independence from under Rhodevus. The Free Galaria Party and the Independent Fleurians Party; both parties devoted to bringing about national independence, have thanked Daredland for the support.

“Galaria was an independent before Rhodevus was discovered. And it should be an independent nation once again. I would like to thank the government of Daredland on behalf myself and my entire party for their newfound support. Recognition is what is needed by the international community.” Said Leslie Kim, the current leader of the Free Galaria Party.

At present, independence for the Ile du Fleurs among it’s own populace is hovering at around 21.2%, a twelve-year low. A much larger push for provincial status or Imperial provincial status has a much larger group of supporters, at 37.1%.

In response to recognizing the IdF as independent, the Rhodeve government has remained eerily silent until today. This issue, which has always been a focal point of IdF-Rhodeve-International relations has always brought out the vocal half of Rhodevus, shutting down voices of independence from abroad, who would prefer the lucrative economic and diplomatic support of Rhodevus, to the penalty of pushing for Fleurian independence.

The Rhodeve Government has asked its counterparts in Daredland if the Minister of International Affairs; John Jones, would be able to visit Daredland and speak with their own Ministry of Foreign Affairs to resolve the issue without further hostilities. Daredland’s support for the IdF has been seen as retribution for leading the elections in the Wenges Reich; known as the Wenigberg region of Daredland.

One of Sunalaya's tallest towers complete in Kheshkek

Today another skyscraper will be added to the city of Kheshkek, it is also one of Sunalaya's tallest skyscrapers. The Dirkhiz Finance Spire was completed yesterday and is planned to be opened on February 1st, surpassing the previous tallest tower in Dirkhizistan, Kok Aspan Mining Tower. The building is 670 meters(2,200 Ft) tall and all 130 Stories are meant to be a location for offices, hotels, and other business that will occupy the tower. The building is a tall, skinny spire that has a large light on the top with a crescent on top of the antenna, symbolizing islam, the addition was made by the architects after the Islamic Revolution. Construction started two years ago, with the speed of the construction of the tower impressing many. The building was designed by Dirkhiz Architect Mahmoud Rakyarev. He said that this project will be his greatest achievement. Koshnashi Nazarxon visited the tower today and said it also a great Dirkhiz Achievement, but he also said "its just one of many to come".

In recent light of the announcement of the successful hyper-sonic missile tests by Ophioneus, The General Staff announced that it would reconsider its current policy regarding nuclear arms. Until recently, it was known that The Dictatorship was among the more willing nations to utilize unconventional arms in armed conflict with another nation, with the weapons used determined by the capabilities and end goals of the current foe. With the recent, and bold, announcement of Ophioneus hyper-sonic missile, the past strategy of awaiting foreign launch confirmation has been deemed 'unsafe' for national security, as in the time it would take to verify the launch as an actual attack, the missile would bee too close to its target to be effectively neutralized. With the old strategy being deemed unacceptable, the P.O.D.A.F. announced that they would be switching over to a 'launch on warn' policy out of strict necessity.

As explained by General Jacobs, this would mean that upon warning of a possible launch, rather than awaiting secondary confirmation, The Dictatorship would launch a nuclear response with the end purpose of eliminating the nation posing the threat. General Jacobs went on to warn that there was at least minor potential for misinterpreting the launch of non-weapon rockets, such as space shuttles or other such craft, as an actual launch; meaning that it is now in the absolute global interest for every future launch, whether a weapons test or an orbital research flight, to be publicly announced and verified before it occurred. The General Staff also stated that the current situation was not preferable for any side, as the strategic advantages of having the missile are outweighed by the defensive mandate of preemptive strikes that it brings with it. P.O.D.I. representatives did indicate that P.O.D.R.D. was making good progress on methods to counter the missile, but when asked failed to clarify whether or not The Dictatorship also had hyper-sonic weapons systems. P.O.D.I. representatives also indicated that once a method to successfully counter the missile system was developed and proven, The Unitary Representative Stratocracy would be able to return to its older policy of awaiting confirmation of attack launches.

An intelligence report, released by P.O.D.I. did indicate that they are quote: "not concerned with the threat hyper-sonic weapons systems pose." When asked to clarify this remark, P.O.D.I. representatives refused to comment.

Reports of increasing Lawlessness in Royal Union Seen as 'Troubling'

According to the People's Bureau of Foreign Affairs or PBFA, the tense situation in the neighboring Royal Union of Eikangaard has been growing increasingly dire. With their economy continuing to fail, many within the PBFA are predicting a total collapse of the buffer state withing the next few months. Reports are coming in that the early stages of this total collapse have already begun, with members of the nation's poorly-funded military presiding over small territories as official representatives of the government. These miniature fiefs may soon grow into a full rebellion against the current government, and lead to the collapse of the buffer state.

While many within the People's National Assembly applauded the news as another victory against the inequality that so plagued pre-revolution EIkangard, many have been more cautionary. Despite the hope that the potential collapse may lead to further socialist revolutions, many also fear that it may simply increase the divisions of Eikan continent. Many believe that the collapse may be taken by the Republic of Eikangaard, which has been further centralizing power in the office of the president, as carte-blanche to claim the territory as it's own. Others say that foreign powers may simply annex the country outright as a puppet state to ensure order.

Whatever the case, many believe that action is necessary to prevent the collapse of the Royal Union. Premier Janet Maass has begun advocating to rescind the debts owed by the Royal Union, and to being payments to the country to help it restart it's economy. This measure was met by no small amount of outrage, claiming that such a move would invariably lead to the rebuilding of the Royal Union's economy and the launching of a second war for the fate of Eikangaard. Instead some members propose a more aggressive solution, waiting for the Royal Union to collapse and annexing it before the Republic does in violation of the Confederal Treaty. Whatever the case, the the topic of the Royal Union's continuous downward spiral will likely be hotly debated over the next few weeks.

Too many names have been released here, but we have just received word that many members of government have been arrested in connection with aiding pro-Communist terror cells working within the Republic. Included on the list was the leader of the Technocratic Party of Eikangaard, MAstin Lagelln, who has since been taken into custody. The Senate, for the time being, has been shut down indefinitely as more than a third of it's members have been implicated and arrested. Even members of the President's own party have been put behind bars.

"It's quite shocking." Said the president in a short press release. "To know that so many people who were supposed to uphold the values of our Republic were found the be subverting it form the inside, it hurts us all deeply. But we need to remain strong, for we are under threat from abroad. We cannot bow to the whims of communists, or monarchists. We've suffered too long under the latter, and would suffer even more greatly under the former. We will bring those responsible to justice, I assure you all. The Republic, though wounded, still stands as a beacon of liberty for all of Eikangaard."

Confederal Ministry of Foreign Affairs addresses foreign calls for diplomatic engagement, status quo of relations with Eastern Corentia and recent policies of Calva

Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation was requested to respond at a press event to calls made for a diplomatic engagement from other nations and to discuss if there is any plan to change the status quo regarding the relations with nations of Eastern Corentia. The more recent event that the journalists have added to their list of questions was the decision by Calva to prohibit entry for citizens of Daredland into Calva in what was interpreted as solidarity with the Island Territory of Belantica (ITB). The Confederal Ministry was ‘bombarded’ with these and other questions because of the relative silence on a number of topics and a mystery of Freihat’s stance on them. At this press event Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Daredi Confederation Friedrich Heuvel took the lead with other diplomats beside him.

“Alright so there was a question from somebody about the request by the government of Rhodevus to meet and discuss the mess that was created from Rhodeve mediation of illegal ‘elections’ in the Englean-proxy entity of the Weniges Reich and our subsequent recognition of The Ile du Fleurs (The Ile of Flowers) as independent. Kingstown wanted to send their Minister of International Affairs over here. Mr. John Jones I believe. Our position is that nothing can be done at the moment. Hypothetically Daredland is capable of recognizing The Ile du Fleurs (The Ile of Flowers) as Rhodeve overseas territory again and retract our independence recognition. But you cannot turn back time when it comes to the so-called ‘elections’ in the Weniges Reich. It’s already a done deal. Political technologies were applied to create an imitational process of ‘elections’ on occupied Daredi territory seized by militia with Englean support. The occupied lands previously held by people with weapons and military camouflage now have people with suits and ties sitting there, giving out an exterior of somebody professional and legitimate. Even their rhetoric is by the book. So yes great PR work has been done with the new Weniges ‘officials’ who will now indefinitely look more legitimate in the eyes of more nations and will probably be leading to more recognition of Weniges secession from the Weniges Reich and its recognition as a sovereign entity. Englean-backed authority there has made huge advances in acquiring legitimacy, making good PR and disintegrating the territory of Daredi state. All of this has been perfectly conducted with the help of Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg and Rhodevus. So it is probably clear where I am heading with this. We are already stating here and now that Daredland will not renounce its recognition of The Ile du Fleurs (The Ile of Flowers) as a sovereign nation independent from the state that previously owned it. The independence recognition will remain. An eye for an eye. We warned countless times that all other nations should stay out of any engagement in or with the Weniges Reich and the Hasperan Republic. Not everybody has heard us and here are the consequences. Hopefully this will be a lesson to weigh costs and benefits before taking action.

There was another question on engaging with the Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg and more specifically the leadership that holds power there. Special Representative for Interactions with the Kaiserlich-Controlled State of Engleberg Heinrich Schweinsteiger has not talked with the Engleans yet since assuming the office position. We believe now is not the right time for this. Certain wounds need to heal and there is still some heat in there. Public opinion in Daredland leaves it to conclude that the nation’s citizens consider present engagement with the Engleans to be out of the question too even using slurs to refer to the eastern neighbor. What we need to do now is focus our energy on completing our strategic and foreign policy objectives that we have set before we can look in the eastern direction again. Same goes for the Englean state and for the Island Territory of Belantica (ITB). The reality is that the engagement with the Engleans will eventually need to take place because we will not directly talk with the secessionist leadership in the Weniges Reich.

Someone else asked about our reaction to Calvan unfriendly policies towards Daredland and the Calvan government’s decision to ban Daredi citizens from entering their nation. I will not talk about the ‘troll’ remarks because that is just not appropriate diplomatic vocabulary so there’s no point with continuing that conversation. The motives of Calva are supposedly in solidarity with the Island Territory of Belantica (ITB). All we can say is that Calva is not familiar with the entire situation and its full context. This is not the first time when nations decide to intervene somewhere and make conclusions without having followed the situation previously. It could have either been a mistake based on misunderstanding or a purposefully chosen pretext to sanction Daredi citizens in solidarity with ITB that Calva probably has ties with. Realistically speaking it is not a big loss to Daredi citizens because our foreign policy is based entirely on self-defense and resisting foreign attempts to undermine our sovereignty and territorial integrity. Experts observing the press briefing note that Confederal Minister Friedrich Heuvel has been more restrained this time around. The interim Government of Unity and Reasoning after the Flaming Revolution and the present government led by the PLFWCD coalition have garnered a reputation for not withholding from harsh statements but the officials have justified it with a difficult and pressuring historical period that post-revolutionary Daredland is going through.

South Baggnagia And Sunrisia Hold Unscheduled Training Exercises

Today, the Sunrisian Defense Force (SDF) and the South Baggnagian Protection Army have launched unscheduled joint training exercises on the border between South Baggnagia and North Baggnagia. These training exercises come not that long after the Sunrisian military instructors trained the South Baggnagian armed forces in individual self-defense. That training of the South Baggnagian Military took place in the country’s mainland and simultaneously in the exclave city of Neodvisni surrounded by North Baggnagia. The first round of training to the South Baggnagian forces was inspired by a recent trespass of a North Baggnagian military jet into the South Baggnagian airspace, which ended without an incident when the jet agreed to be escorted out by South Baggnagian and Sunrisian warplanes. It was seen as a provocation and a strong reaction was necessary.

General Pártên Câstódél, the Commander of Sunrisian Forces – South Baggnagia, said at the time that the training of South Baggnagian soldiers would soon be followed by a second round of joint training exercises by South Baggnagian and Sunrisian forces, as well as eventually the first full-scale military exercises, war games and drills between the 2 military allies. The planned second round of training exercises has now been brought forward and began today. However, these are not yet the full-scale military exercises, war games or drills set for the future. Although SFSB command has not ruled out that those may also be brought forward to an earlier date in case of a new North Baggnagian provocation.

The second round of bilateral training exercises and their conduction at an earlier date comes after the stealth trespass by North Baggnagian agents and soldiers late at night across the militarized border into South Baggnagia. Recently-deceased President-turned-Soldier Nóv Fáustîtár was chosen as a target for North Baggnagian abduction. There were theories that the North Baggnagians sought to turn him into a hostage and P.O.W., as well as interrogate him for information. The abduction attempt failed when Fáustîtár’s resistance to the abduction caused too much noise and prompted South Baggnagian and Sunrisian soldiers on patrol to respond. The trespassers sent by the North Baggnagian dictatorship did not make it over to their side of the border with the kidnapped soldiers. The trespassers were gunned down, however, not before claiming a life. Nóv Fáustîtár, who fought back bravely, in the end was fatally stabbed in the chest and stomach multiple times by one of the North Baggnagian soldiers, dying right there on the spot. The enemy soldier conducting the killing was gunned down along with his “comrades.” North Baggnagia celebrated this murder.

In the aftermath, President Dobrin Nóvak of South Baggnagia summoned General Pártên Câstódél for a bilateral meeting to generate a response. The unscheduled bilateral training exercises was the decision made. The General suggested that these be the unscheduled bilateral training be considered as the previously-planned second round of joint training exercises brought forward to an earlier date, however, he also suggested that a third round be held at the date that was originally planned for the second round. General Câstódél also suggested that full-scale joint military exercises, war games and drills be held between the 2 military allies “soon enough.” The General later met with Minister of Defense Vojtěch Wylem Bětnar of South Baggnagia and held a press conference with the local media in Silcenda, South Baggnagia from the Presidential Headquarters:

“This is a swift reaction to yet another provocation by the dictatorship in North Baggnagia. Unlike the first one, this one has actually ended with murder not of the attacker, but of the attacked. A Sunrisian soldier was killed. Let me just say that neither Sunrisia nor South Baggnagia will be intimidated and that each provocation from the regime of Fran Hapénic only brings forward the day of the regime’s collapse. The Sunrisian administration of President Válîd Sâlúbĕr and the Department of Security has instructed me to inform publicly that our country’s individual policy towards the inter-Baggnagian confrontation remains of a defensive basis. President Dobrin Nóvak of South Baggnagia said that his government shares this stance to coordinate the shared military strategy of our countries. This is also a reaffirmation to our allies and partners in the VU that Sunrisia does not plan to take any radical and reactionary measures against North Baggnagia without coordinating with the VU countries, who are neighbors to both Baggnagian states. The policy of Sunrisia is to deter North Baggnagian aggression against South Baggnagia and to protect this country’s liberty, independence and sovereignty. South Baggnagia represents a bright future for the Baggnagian people as a free, happy, modern and prosperous nation with an effective democracy, rule of law and human dignity. North Baggnagia is a totalitarian dictatorship based on oppression, extremism, aggression and the cult of personality. Both Baggnagian states are twisted mirror images of each other and differ like night and day. It is obvious that the future of success is behind South Baggnagia and the threats by the North Baggnagian regime to “reunify Baggnagian land” under the North’s flag will never become a reality. Sunrisia is committed to protecting South Baggnagia, which represent the forces of good, against North Baggnagia, which represents the forces of evil. It is a confrontation between liberty and imprisonment here, light versus darkness. Evil and darkness will never come out on top.”

The South Baggnagian government has raised the possibility that the failed abduction attempt in South Baggnagia has been a strategic mishap that has exposed the dictatorship plan to possibly abduct South Baggnagian citizens in the future. This conclusion has caused mixed reaction in the South Baggnagian public, with critics calling it a conspiracy. The Sunrisian Prime Intelligence Division (PID) has reached out to its’ counterparts in the intelligence community of South Baggnagia to begin collaborative work on realistic precautions that North Baggnagia not start abducting South Baggnagians on foreign citizens abroad in general.

ProUnion and VoteFederal Selected as Main Campaign Groups in the Unitary Referendum

Prime Minister of Goldwyn, Julien Piccard (LP), leads the Federal Campaign

The Unitary Referendum has been set for a date in May after passing in the National Parliament 420 – 230. And with it, the main political campaigns that will receive state funding during the referendum have been chosen by the Electoral Commission. ProUnion is an organisation that is headed by a Member of the Ventismarian Parliament (MVP) for the Democracy Party, Anthony Hubris MVP (DP). Anthony Hubris used to be an MP in the Burton State Assembly before retiring the position to become a member of the Ventismarian Parliament in the 2017 Ventismarian election.

Anthony Hubris (DP) has long campaigned for the creation of a unitary state and heavily opposed the power the Senate had over the Goldwyn Crisis in early 2017. He was also a candidate for Democracy Party leadership until he endorsed Executive Chancellor David George for the role.

Anthony Hubris (DP) is well respected in political circles and therefore holds some clout over assuming the role of Chairman of ProUnion and is expected to focus his attention of gaining the moderate right-wing vote.

VoteFederal is led by the leader of Parti de la Libération (Liberation Party) and current Prime Minister of Goldwyn, Julien Piccard (LP). Julien Piccard assumed the role of Prime Minister of Goldwyn after the DP-led Goldwynian government collapsed shortly after the 2017 snap-election due to a taxation scandal. His party and government is currently propped up by the Social Democrats which could prove troublesome should Piccard overstep the mark, although the SDP have ruled out a change in direction in Goldwyn.

PM Julien Piccard (LP) has been the most vocal critic of a unitary government fearing that the rights of Goldwynians and French natives in Capsland will be revoked and placed under pressure by a stronger National Parliament. Unlike his counterpart, Anthony Hubris (DP), PM Piccard welcomed in the Senate during the Goldwynian Crisis and condemned EC David George’s government’s handling of the crisis. He is a staunch critic of the Democracy Party and Social Democratic Party alike, although in the past few years he has seen himself aligning with the SDP on many domestic Goldwyn issues. VoteFederal, with the support of PM Piccard, is expected to make outstanding successes in Goldwyn and larger wealthy states such as Samiania and Garddrin.

Currently only the SDP and SB have not chosen a campaign to support with both parties being very much split. The leader of the SDP, Barbara Giles (SDP), has not yet made an official statement on the direction of the party while the Socialist-Bloc leadership is rumoured to be giving their MPs a free hand to support whichever campaign they want.

Today At the end of an emotional rollercoaster that was the Zargos Inquiry justice has been given to the families affected by the space debris from the now-defunct Calvan ICBM program as leader Magnus Göransson attended the hearing only to be found guilty during the trial of one count of official misconduct and 40 counts manslaughter by gross negligence along with 10 of the board of directors of the ICBM program who will all face their criminal cases later in the month and are expected to face at least 20 years in prison. In the meantime, the current government have begun the debates in parliament as to where the money should be diverted funding from other areas to provide funding for the deeply vital and underfunded National Center For Space Debris Observation. This move has been called by many prominent political figures a risky move, as it has the possibility to create major divides within the Republic. So far there has yet to be any major disagreements but there is speculation that many politicians who support the police and military will quite literally be up in arms tomorrow at the slightest mention of cuts to their departments.

In the regular Post Meridiem Politics show interview Jukka Sipilä addressed the issue and said that "I understand that this can and will become a heated and passionate event but, we must put aside our differences and make sacrifices in a few departments to be able to continue to assure the safety of the nation of calva from the growing problem of disasters that originate from space."

Valetudinar General Hospital in Herza Novi finally opens, easing pressure on Jamiss

After ten years of construction, double that in planning time, and probably triple that in doing consultations and signing paperwork, the Valetudinar General Hospital has opened in western Herza Novi City. The new modern hospital now has the capacity to not only treat the entirety of the greater Herza Novi area, but also to treat southern Herza Novi region, which usually were sent to Jamiss, which since now, had higher capacity and treating capacity than the old Herza Novi Hospital which is now to be transformed into an acute Cancer unit.

The old Herza Novi Grandmeur Hospital was built in 1943. With the war and troubles within Montedoran that followed after the collapse of the Empire, for over fifty years there was very little progress in the expansion of the existing hospital, meanwhile Herza Novi grew and grew in population and size. The hospital continued to age, and in the month of July, 1987, a man died within the hospital as an old unsafe stairway collapsed under him. The death of August Jovenés propelled the plans for the new Valetudinar General Hospital.

Now the new building, costing the regional Montedoran government $A 155m and the Unitary Damsmarian Government $A 315m, will secure the health of the Herza Novi people for decades to come. It is revolutionary, with ease of access, modern technology, and acute services, prioritised within its construction. The average A&E waiting time will lower from 50-70 minutes, to 10-30, with new experienced staff hired from the local area and within Damsmar. The introduction of these new jobs will surely benefit the local economy which has suffered in recent years, and while jobs are important, they are not as important as the health of our people.

Regional Health Secretary Adorjan Adria cut the ribbon today and soon after the hospital took on its first new patients.

Wreck of Battleship Found in Aker Bay

After nearly 125 years sitting on the bottom of the sea, a long forgotten piece of Libriran history was rediscovered by a government sponsored expedition in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Revolution of 1894. The ship was found in about 50m of water, with heavy battle damage. The Ship in question, the LRS Faruva was at the time the newest battleship in the Libriran Royal Navy, and was still being fitted out when the revolution started.

Hastily finished for the Battle of Aker bay, it participated in the battle, however, due to the fact it wasn't equipped with all its armor it took a mortal hit to it forward gun magazine, about 5 hours into the battle, after taking several other hits amidships. The hit to its forward magazine detonated the ammunition stored there, and in a massive, violent explosion. The loss of one of their best battleships is believed to have contributed to the eventual Royal navy rout, and eventual loss of the war at sea. The ship that fired the killing blow is unknown, however, it is often attributed to the LPS Proliteriat the Faruva's sister, that had mutinied in the early days of the revolution, and was on the Red Union side during the battle.

The ship was identified because due to its bow being displaced approx. 100m away from the rest of the ship, as well as its mixed secondary battery, a product to its hasty fitting out. The bow is lying on its port side, with a trail of debris leading to the rest of the hull. The main section of the hull is laying mostly level, but listing slightly to starboard. Researchers operating the ROV that discovered the wreck, noted that the ship was in very good condition, aside from the damage it incurred in the battle. All of its guns are trained to the starboard side just as it was 125 years ago. A notable part of the wreck that was absent was its forward gun turret, which researchers believe was blown off during the sinking. It is not near the 2 main wreck sections, and it is still being searched for.

The ship had few survivors, out of its crew of 410, only 22 survived, the rest, her captain included went down with the ship. That is why, despite the fact it was on the losing side of the revolution it is considered a war grave, and is considered a protected historic site by the central government. The Historical Preservation Comission, is taking steps to ensure the wreck remains undisturbed both by divers and passing fishermen.

This first ship is the first of several this expedition hopes to find, as well as other ships from the Battle of Aker Bay, which is the largest naval battle during the revolution. This expedition was funded by the Historical Preservation Comission to honor the 125th anniversary, which will begin this April. A memorial service for the sailors of the Faruva will take place next Sunday at 12:00 LST in Nardonnyy Gorod, the city the ship was built in. The crew of the vessel that discovered the ship, says they also plan to lower a plaque commemorating the wreck in the coming days.

Tolorian Capital Hosts New Years Parade

Starting around 9:00 A.M. local time, citizens lined up to formally celebrate the new year. A commercial parade is held on New Year's Day, but the difference between these two parades is the chain of events. In the New Year's parade, it is organized by the private sector, but this parade is the official parade of the Tolorian government. This parade usually ends with the King giving an address to the nation. It also includes various other political leaders speaking a few words to ring in the new year. The parade went off without a hitch, and smiles showered over the crowd of over 10,000 people.

Government Addresses New Vesvai’s Border Wall And Reinforcing Ispanza

Vesvai’s Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit took the podium today at Vesvai’s Parliament during a session. The Minister addressed the MPs and subsequently the international community via broadcasting media on Vesvai’s position towards security issues. During this address Prime Minister Jonathan Mollisal sat alongside the Speaker of Parliament on a higher tribune behind the back of Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit who was at the podium. All throughout the speech of Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit PM Jonathan Mollisal nodded in approval. This indicated that the governing cabinet had consultations before Minister Robert Praesedit was brought out to address the MPs. Traditionally Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit mainly addressed MPs only from the ruling VHU party because MPs from other parties and the opposition boycotted the parliamentary session as usual.

Vesvai’s Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit talked mainly on two topics. Those topics were the border wall that New Vesvai was building on the shared border between both Vesvais to divide the island and the reinforcement of Ispanza against Sunrisia.

“[T]he statement will be short. The Royal Vesvaian Security Forces will remain stationed on Vesvai’s side of our shared border even while the wall continues construction. RVSF might even remain stationed there after the wall is up. That will be for the government to decide in the future when we gather to reevaluate the situation. We don’t trust the New Vesvaians or their curators that this wall will increase security for either of both Vesvaian states. This will only divide the island and bring nothing but harm. We also view it as a ploy to lay our guard down and not to keep up active military readiness. As a gatekeeper of ROVAA and the Rhodeve Commonwealth in this direction Vesvai has a special responsibility to always be on military lookout.

On another note. The government cabinet is considering the possibility of deploying the warships of Vesvai’s Navy to Ispanza to join allies there in deterring Sunrisian aggression against the small island. Vesvai’s government is thinking about offering this to the government of Ispanza but I am not making any official announcements. That will be for the MPs in this hall to decide and for the Prime Minister to announce.”

After Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit was done with his speech PM Jonathan Mollisal made additions to the cabinet colleague’s speech on Ispanza specifically.

“[I] would like to elaborate on the Minister’s statement on Ispanza. Just because Vesvai left Molenston earlier it should not be an indicator for anything negative for any strange changes in our foreign policy. We did not bail or betray the Commonwealth. We remain its committed member and a committed member of ROVAA. We stood with Commonwealth ally Molenston and we will be ready to stand with Commonwealth ally Ispanza.”

Vesvaian Revolutionary Navy Temporarily Increases Presence Near Western Shores

New Vesvai will be temporarily increasing naval presence near western shores and along the coastline. This was an announcement made by New Vesvai’s Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army. It comes as a response to the declaration by Vesvai’s Ministry of Defense and Security on the consideration to possibly deploy to Ispanza and offer this possibility to the Ispanzan leadership. This means that Vesvai’s Navy would be deploying south and inevitably passing by New Vesvai. In case the northern neighbor decides to test New Vesvai the government is already taking precautions. The Vesvaian Revolutionary Navy will be temporarily patrolling the western coastline for a period that has not been agreed on yet. All that has been said is that it would be short. Officials said that the government of New Vesvai knows how the former compatriots think and especially how the government in Aurisi thinks. There might be provocations and New Vesvai will not wait until the final moment to prepare for a reaction. Precautionary measures will already be taken for New Vesvai to be on patrol.

The citizens are concerned for security too because many are still disturbed by the past words of Vesvai’s Governor-General Andrew Gaileta who called for the destruction of New Vesvai and its forceful annexation back into Vesvai. The recognition and acceptance of New Vesvai’s sovereignty by Vesvai is also still in question. Vesvai’s Minister of National Defense and Security Robert Praesedit said that the Royal Vesvaian Security Forces might remain stationed along the shared border even after New Vesvai erects a wall there. New Vesvai’s Ministry of the Vesvaian Revolutionary Army promised that VRA would not be going anywhere either throughout construction. The Ministry also hinted that New Vesvai’s government may as well have to consider keeping the troops at the border even after the wall is done. A risk was raised that Vesvai may actually attempt to attack or destroy the wall during construction or after the construction. Opposition parties are calling onto the ruling AIT coalition to declare that an attack on the wall would be considered an attack on New Vesvai and be responded to as such.

To calm down the public in the midst of this debate New Vesvai’s Prime Minister Kai Placore promised to keep contact with Sunrisia to receive additional security assurances under the military alliance between the two nations. Another issue that remains on agenda for New Vesvai’s government is unrelated to security. That issue is the filling in of the vacant office of the Head Administrator of New Vesvai despite it being a largely ceremonial one.

B R E A K I N G: Council of the Realm disallows government recorded sex changes

ARTWINGEN -- The Lindian Council of the Realm, Lindenholt's supreme court, came with the verdict of the anonymous Beutrecht man that wished to change his age earlier last year. Previously a local Beutrecht court ruled against the man's wish to change his date of birth. The judge of the district court ruled that ages could not be changed, as they are factual.

After the trial, the still 53-year old Beutrecht resident went in to appeal at the Honicholt provincial court. In November they also ruled against the man, restating the verdict of the district court judge. During an interview on late night talk show 'Hemmink en Hofman' the man's lawyer stated they would go in to cassation, as he and his client believe that the previous judges made a fundamental error in their interpretation of the law regarding the factual state of age. Their argument is that, since those who have undergone a sex change can change their sex (something which is also factual), citizens should also be able to change their age according to their viewpoint.

Today the Council of the Realm released their verdict on the cassation. The full verdict (in Dutch) can be downloaded via the link below (.pdf format). The verdict justified the ruling that an age could not be changed; however, the president of the council stated that the interpretation of both the district court judge and provincial judge was wrong. According to the Lindian supreme court, their interpretation of the law did not allow for any changes to identity information with the exception marriage and cases where a judge rules it to be necessary, such as with offensive or humiliating names and special cases such as witness protection.

The judges argue that there a no laws in place that allow for one to change their government registered sex or gender. They do however legitimise medically approved sex changes, as there are specific laws in place allowing doctors to perform such procedures if a patient wishes them to be done on them. Despite this, local government offices such as municipalities have been officially registering sex changes and issuing documents according to the sex the recipient of which identifies with for over thirty years now. According to the CotR interpretation this is illegal, and a judge should have ruled in all those cases, rather than a government official.

To conclude, effective as of twelve o'clock tonight, no persons in Lindenholt may change any of part of their identity without the ruling of a judge, and those who have changed their information before this time without a judge deciding it will have technically committed identity fraud. Therefore, the Council of the Realm has also ruled to retroactively revoke such changes not made by judges.

This has sparked outrage ion the LGBTQ community. A spokesperson of the Green Progressive party's LGBTQ wing (GreenLGBTQers) reacted by calling it "a step back in to the stone age".

The Liberal People's Party, the current leaders of the government, have said that they respect the outcome of the court ruling, and that as the legislative and executive branches they should respect the rulings of the judicial branch of government. This statement was met by outrage by Green Progressive MPs, who stated on the internet they would put forward a motion to recognise the now illegitimate sex changes anyway, and to make it easier for transsexuals to change their sex after they undergo a sex change. Additionally, the MPs stated on social media that they expect their coalition partners, the Union of Democrats and Liberal People's Party to vote in favour of this bill.
