Nation: The Kingdom of Coconut Palm Island

Party Name: Liberal Democratic Party
Seats: The King is a Liberal Democrat, as are 19/30 Senators and 5/11 Royal Court Justices
Ideologies:
  • Social libertarianism: Legalize drugs, equality for all, criminal justice reform, LGBT rights, equality, pro-immigration, pro-gun (with reasonable restrictions)
  • Fiscal liberalism: Moderate-high taxes, social safety nets, capitalism but with heavy regulation of corporations
  • Support of the King: Since the King is a Liberal Democrat, a main pillar of the party is supporting him.
Support base: The support for the Liberal Democrats is incredible, with about half of the nation supporting them, and a total of 85% approving of the King. The Liberal Democrats is the party of the "common people". College students, city and suburban residents, and white- and blue-collar workers.
Brief History (optional): The first party to form. Founded in 1972, at the Island's creation, by former-King Paul and almost all other early settlers of the Island. When King Paul died in 2001, he passed the party on to his son, current King Alexander, who left the party mostly the same.

Party Name: Libertarian Party
Seats: 7/30 Senate Seats and 5/11 Royal Court seats
Ideologies:
  • Social libertarianism: Just like the Liberal Democrats on many social issues, they believe in legal drugs, equality for all, criminal justice reform, LGBT rights, equality, and pro-immigration
  • Small government: Reduce the size of the government, privatize certain industries.
  • Social conservatism: Less taxes, end universal healthcare, privatize colleges.
  • Support the King in general and on social issues, but challenge him on fiscal issues
Support base: The extremely wealthy, individuals coming to our nation to escape criminal charges in other countries.
Brief History (optional): Created in 1974 by those who wanted King Paul to take a more fiscally libertarian approach to the economy, but still wanted to maintain a good relationship with the than-King. In 2001, the party joined the Liberal Democrats in endorsing King Alexander for the throne.

Party Name: Socialist Party
Seats: 3/30 Senate seats, 1/11 Royal Court Justices
Ideologies:
  • Socialism/extreme economic liberalism- Break up big businesses, raise minimum wage, give workers control of companies.
  • Radical social equality- The government should treat everyone equally, and stop giving the rich special treatment.
  • Less power for the Monarch- The Socialist Party supports the current King, but believes that Monarchy in general is a bad idea, and that the King should have less power.
Support base: The poor, and socialists/communists
Brief History (optional): As the Liberal Democrats and Libertarians usually got along to form a socially liberal and fiscal centrist government, a group of poor citizens formed the Socialist party in 1984 in hopes of tipping the scales more in favor of fiscal liberalism, while maintaining social liberalism.

Party Name: National Party
Seats: 1/30 Senate seats, no seats in the Royal Court
Ideologies:
  • Coconut Palm Island first: Pull out of trade deals, make immigration laws stricter, give the police more authority.
  • Center-Right Economic policy: Less welfare, less universal healthcare, privatize colleges, but still regulate big businesses.
  • Town's Rights: Decentralize the federal government, give individual towns more authority in making rules.
  • Social conservatism: Anti-LGBT, anti-immigrant, pro-gun.
Support base: Conservatives, people who immigrate here from conservative nations, nationalists.
Breif History (optional): The 3rd party to form, in 1975, disgusted by the Liberal Democratic Party and Libertarian Party's socially libertarian policies, and the nation's overall moderate-left-wing ideology.
His Royal Majesty King Alexander
King of Coconut Palm Island
News: King, Senators back bipartisan climate change initiative. | Heat wave possibly responsible for four-hour power outage in the capital, Largo Beach. | Senator under investigation for allegedly taking bribes found to be innocent, all major parties agree. |

Nation: The Marxist-Leninist People's Republic of the Congo Delta

Party Name: Revolutionary leninist party (shortly referred to as "the party")
Seats: 141/143, the two others are appointed by the national minorities council.
Ideologies: Socialism "the congolese way", which means the government controls the whole economoy and tries its best to defalcate as much as possible from the earnings. Enemies of the party have to disappear to lead the public to happiness. This happens in the working camps throughout the nation where they are ... ok, no brutal details here.
Support base: Officially: all. There are no statistics how many people honestly support the party and how many just pretend to not get punished.

Nation: The Democratic Republic of Gandoor

Party Name: New Democratic Party
Party Emblem: Image
Seats: The NDP is the current Majority Party in the Forum and has been since the 2018 National Elections. They currently have 488 of the 1000 seats and the current Prime Minister, Nikolai Olanovich Semenov, is also a member of the NDP.
Ideologies: Social democracy
Support Base: The support base of the NDP is fairly broad, although their strongest pockets of support are in white-collar workers, suburban residents, and many college students.
Brief History: The NDP is the oldest operating political party in Gandoor, having been formed from a merger of the Progressive Party (established in 1830 as the second official political party in Gandoor) and the Gandoor Democratic Union (established in 1847) in 1878.

Party Name: Gandoor Communist Party
Party Emblem: Image
Seats: The Communist Party is the current Opposition Party in the Forum, having 485 of 1000 seats. The most recent Prime Minister from the party was Reginald D. McFatton, Jr., who served as Prime Minister from 2006 to 2018.
Ideologies: Democratic socialism
Support Base: Much like the NDP, the Communist Party has a very broad support base, although their support is strongest amongst young voters, urban residents, and the working-class.
Brief History: Founded in 1881, the Communist Party is considered the party responsible for the establishment of modern Gandoor, as the Gandoor Revolution, which led to the dissolution of the near-300 year old monarchy and the establishment of the modern Democratic Republic was spearheaded and led by the party (although they did work with the NDP during the revolution). Despite the name of the party, they ceased being an actual communist party by 1931 with the last official remnants of communism (other than the name) being removed from party documents in 1963.

Party Name: People's Party of Gandoor
Party Emblem: Image
Seats: One of the two Minority Parties, having 18 of 1000 seats.
Ideologies: Right-libertarianism
Support Base: The People's Party is predominantly supported by the rich and libertarians.
Brief History: Founded in 1974, the People's Party is the youngest national political party in Gandoor. They are one of two right-wing parties that operate in Gandoor and, while they are still socially progressive, they desire for the dismantling of the welfare state and the transitioning of Gandoor to a near-complete laissez-fair capitalist economic system, which they believe to be the superior choice for economic growth.

Party Name: Gandoor Freedom Group
Party Emblem: Image
Seats: One of the two Minority Parties, having 9 of 1000 seats.
Ideologies: Social conservatism
Support Base: The GFG is almost entirely supported in more rural regions of Gandoor.
Brief History: The Gandoor Freedom Group was founded in 1928 and is currently the only socially conservative Gandoorese political party. Much like the People's Party, the GFG supports the dismantling of (most aspects) of the welfare state and the move for Gandoor to embrace socially conservative viewpoints (although considering how left-wing Gandoorese society is, certain things which the GFG supports would be considered centre-left or even left-wing by other conservative parties around the world).

Nation: United Grand Empire of Fostoria

Party Name: Graszfostoriaye-Nationalimperiale-Vorkourpartie (Greater Fostorian Nationalist Imperial Workers' Party)
Party Emblem (2018 Election): Image
Seats: 1620/1840 (House of Parliament)
Ideologies: Right-Wing National Populism, Trilateralist Capitalism (essentially a form of corporatism), National Liberalism, Pan-Fostorian Imperialism
Support base: Very wide support base. Strongest support comes from the military, middle class, high-tech industrial workers, business owners/professionals, and more. Very popular in cities due to liberal social policies and efficient economics.
Breif History (optional): Founded in early 2017, initially as a coalition between the major royalist and national conservative parties in Parliament after an election loss by the Conservative Imperialists. Then, Grand Emperor Winslow VII was assassinated along with his heir, leading to a situation in which the country briefly became a Presidential Republic since Regency was abolished by the 1994 constitution. National-Imperialist Majority Whip Geralde Wessler gave a revolutionary speech in which he convinced Conservative Chancellor John Vorste and his large party to support Rudy Werschram, a semi-liberal yet expansionist economist, to be the Interim President, forming the Fostorian Nationalist Worker's Coalition party. This gained the support of the military and other important political groups. It supported Grand Duke Geronimo XVIII ver Korelia for the Imperial Throne, who eventually took power. After this, the party and all of its supporting wings united into the Nationalimperiale-Vorkourpartie.

Nation: The Kingdom of Vedastia

Party Name: National Movement
Image
Seats: Senate: 41/61; Chamber of Deputies: 496/1000
Ideologies:
  • Nationalism: The National Movement supports immigration restrictions, tariffs, and military non-interventionism to preserve Vedastia's national identity and sovereignty.
  • Liberalism: Liberty is a core Vedastian value, and most of the party tends to be very liberal in terms of personal freedom and economic activity (national liberalism), though the national conservative and corporatist factions of the party don't necessarily agree. This is expressed by the national liberal majority's support for a free domestic market, opposition to property taxes, opposition to transfer payments, support for drug legalization, opposition to gun regulations, and a commitment to low taxes.
  • Decentralization: Most of the party supports decentralization due to Vedastia's pluralistic nature and history of centralized control by an imperial power, though the corporatist wing of the party doesn't necessarily agree.
  • Monarchism: Most of the party supports the monarchy, which it established two years ago, and the nobility, to which it restored official status. The first and current king, Þeauturikui I, founded the National Movement and was previously the first President of the Federal Republic of Vedastia after the fall of the Executive Council, a collective executive body that had been in power since Vedastian independence in 1963.
Support base: The nobility, local industry, small business owners, most former members of the right-liberal Freedom Party and liberal-conservative Conservative Party, Anglo-Vedasters, Hispano-Vedasters, and aboriginal Vedasters.
The National Movement was founded by Count Þeauturikui "Teku" vun Vaxerkhaux in 2014 after he felt that his Conservative Party was not doing enough to control recent mass immigration to Vedastia and protecting its industry, which had begun to decline due to an increase in imports. The Conservative Party (Tories) largely supported more moderate versions of Vaxerkhaux's positions, but were afraid of alienating its senior coalition partner, the Freedom Party (Whigs), who supported mass immigration and free trade. A break with the Freedom Party would result in dissolving the Whig-Tory Coalition, which had ruled Vedastia for most of the time since its independence. Vaxerkhaux and the National Movement took off in 2014 after a video of him excoriating the Whig-Tory Coalition's inaction on immigration and trade went viral. The national-conservative Callahanist Consensus and the near-fascist Renaissance Party merged into the National Movement that year. The National Movement attracted many defectors from the Whigs and the Tories, as well as a small number of Social Democrats. Of course, these problems that Vaxerkhaux highlighted came to a head in 2015 and a civil war known as the Vedastian Crisis broke out, killing tens of thousands of people over the course of roughly more than half a year. There were several changes to the Vedastian Constitution, including replacing the 11-member Executive Council with an executive president. The National Movement won a majority of seats in the 2016 election, which enabled the party to select Vaxerkhaux as president. Parliament decided to make Vedastia a monarchy and restore Vedastia's ancient nobility on 1 October 2016, offering the crown to Vaxerkhaux. As the National Movement's goals were largely accomplished and previously-consolidated political parties now had new splinter groups, the National Movement lost its majority in the Chamber of Deputies in the 2018 election, but entered into a coalition agreement with Pur tei Vetaxtunerii (For the Vedasters), a party that promotes aboriginal Vedaster interests, in a governing coalition called Vedastia Together.

Party Name: Pur tei Vetaxtunerii (For the Vedasters)
Image
Seats: Senate: 0/64; Chamber of Deputies: 97/1000
Ideologies:
  • Aboriginal Vedaster interests: PtV supports education programs celebrating aboriginal Vedaster culture and the preservation of the Vedastian language, such as maintaining the trilingual education system. A minority of members opposed the merger of the Anglican Church of Vedastia and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Vedastia into the United Episcopal Church of Vedastia, the ELCV being the main native church for aboriginal Vedasters.
  • Self-determination: PtV supports the aboriginal Vedasters' self-determination and opposes mass immigration while supporting economic protectionism. A small minority of party members support the creation of the Paupulbeune (People's State), which would be an ethnically-Vedastian majority state in the southern portion of the Vedastian mainland.
  • National liberalism/conservatism: Almost all members of PtV were members of the former Freedom and Conservative Parties, so their political leanings tend to be similar to those of NM's national liberal and national conservative factions aside from emphasizing aboriginal Vedaster issues.
Support base: Aboriginal Vedasters and the nobility.
Aboriginal Vedasters, the descendants of Europeans who speak the Vedastian language, a Romance language with heavy Germanic and light Hebrew influences, settled on the Vedastian Archipelago and absorbed the smaller local Berber population roughly four centuries before Spanish and British settlers arrived. They make up roughly 19% of the Vedastian population. As a people, aboriginal Vedasters have not had a serious national identity until recently after panics over mass immigration. A revival of aboriginal Vedaster culture took place. Most members of this ethnic group supported the National Movement, which it later suspected was prioritizing the interests of Anglo- and Hispano-Vedasters, who comprise 55% and 19% of the population, respectively. Pur tei Vetaxtunerii organized in late 2017 to channel this sentiment into political action. They won 97 seats in the Chamber of Deputies in the January 2018 election, depriving NM of its majority. Shortly after the election, they formed a coalition called Vedastia Together.

Party Name: Social Democratic Party
Image
Seats: Senate: 10/64; Chamber of Deputies: 254/1000
Ideologies:
  • Social democracy (majority): Implementing socialist goals within a capitalist framework.
  • Social liberalism/left-liberalism (minority): A capitalist economy should remain in place with stronger business regulation, progressive taxation, and a welfare state.
  • Progressivism: Social progress is a good in and of itself.
  • Internationalism: Mutual cooperation between governments and international organizations, free trade, and an open immigration policy.
  • Centralization: The federal government must restrict local governments from abusing the people.
Support base: Progressive executives; left-leaning middle class; urbanites; moderate working-class left; immigrants.
The Social Democratic Party of Vedastia was originally part of the Social Democratic Party of Sbemailzille, a party that was a puppet of the Sbemailzille's Imperial Party, and became its own party after independence, making it one of the oldest parties in Vedastia. Its first chairman, Mickey Weston, helped navigate the separation between the Sbemailzille Soc Dems and the Vedastian Soc Dems. Historically speaking, the Soc Dems' success has been limited to only a few cantons and major urban centers, most notably Saint Monica, with the Whig-Tory Coalition being the ruling party for most of Vedastia's history since independence. The main exception to this was during the latter half of the 1990s, when Cal Greer led an invigorated Social Democratic Party to victory in response to the Whig-Tories' excesses. Under Greer, the federal government regulated business and nationalized industries as much as the constitution would allow (which wasn't much). Most of the Soc Dems' reforms were undone when the Whig-Tories' returned to power in the early 2000s, with the notable exceptions of a nationalized financial system and universal primary care at the cantonal level. Until the mid-2010s, the Social Democrats were in a coalition with the Green Party, Global Alliance (world federalism), and the Communist Party called the United Left. The Soc Dems left this coalition due to leadership struggles and it eventually merged into one party. Both parties formed a coalition between each other and the successor to the Whig-Tory Coalition, the People's Party, called the Democratic Union, of which the Soc Dems are the leader of the coalition.

Party Name: People's Party
Image
Seats: Senate: 5/64; Chamber of Deputies: 75/1000
Ideologies:
  • Liberal conservatism: Liberty is a core Vedastian value, and most Tories support a breadth of personal and economic freedom. However, many are conservative in terms of social issues, but not to the extent of the Christian Democratic Coalition. This is expressed by the liberal conservative majority's support for a free market, opposition to property taxes, opposition to gun regulations, and a commitment to low taxes.
  • Classical liberalism (minority): While most of the members of the former right-liberal Freedom Party later either joined NM or PtV after their ideology shifted more toward national liberalism, some former Whigs stayed with the Tories after their parties merged because they believed that the Tories would be closer to their politics than NM.
  • Internationalism: Mutual cooperation between governments and international organizations, free trade, and an open immigration policy.
  • Decentralization: Most of the party supports decentralization due to Vedastia's pluralistic nature and history of centralized control by an imperial power.
Support base: Executives of large corporations, businessmen, urbanites, moderate rural voters, a minority of former members of the right-liberal Freedom Party and liberal-conservative Conservative Party, right-leaning middle class, right-leaning immigrants, economists.
The People's Party was founded as a merger between the right-liberal Freedom Party, known as the Whigs, and the liberal-conservative Conservative Party, known as the Tories, after the Vedastian Crisis. The Freedom Party was founded by Rikhartui vun Lak Urx, Father of the Nation, after Vedastian independence. The Conservative Party was originally the Vedastian branch of the Conservative Party of Sbemailzille. The left of the Sbemailzille Imperial Party also joined the Conservative Party (most of the right of the Imperial Party joined either the near-fascist Renaissance Party, which later merged into NM, with a minority joining the Catholic Party, which had virtually no electoral success and later merged into the Christian Democratic Coalition). The Whigs almost completely dominated Vedastian politics for the first decade after independence, but the Tories started gaining a large number of seats in the Federal Assembly in the early 1970s, eventually ending the Whigs' majorities in both houses of the Federal Assembly. Tory chairman Anselm Stephenson, who had headed the Conservative Party since before independence and encouraged former Imperial Party members to join the Tories, is largely credited for the Tories' electoral gains and negotiating for the Tories' place in what would come to be called the Whig-Tory Coalition, which would dominate Vedastian politics from that point until the Vedastian Crisis. Vedastia had an aggressively neoliberal government under WT control, leading to a prosperous economy but also a great amount of social inequality. This would come to a head in the 1990s, when Vedastia's first Social Democratic government came to power. After the WT Coalition regained control in the 2000s, they decided to keep the Soc Dems' policies of a nationalized financial system and universal primary care at the cantonal level. The Tories had had a factional split in the early 2010s, resulting in the creation of the more right-wing Callahanist Consensus, which also attracted moderate Rennies. CC was never a part of the governing coalition, but the fall of the Álvarez family from grace after a series of scandals almost guaranteed that CC would never regain its political strength. Faced with the prospect of losing any legislative representation shortly before the Vedastian Crisis, CC merged into NM with the Rennies. The WT coalition's last straw was the Vedastian Crisis, which was caused by a decline in manufacturing jobs and ethnic tensions spurred on by an increase in immigration to Vedastia. Many Whigs and Tories had decided to join NM due to their dissatisfaction with the WT Coalition. Faced with a rapid decrease in membership, a massive amount of defections in both the federal and cantonal legislatures, and the prospect of another left-wing government coming to power if the vote was split between the Whigs and the Tories, the two parties decided to merge in 2015 after the Crisis. The new party, the People's Party, chose to call themselves the Tories as a way of signaling that they upheld the values of conservatism. As the 2016 election drew nearer, the party decided to moderate its previously-neoliberal ideology and trended toward progressive conservatism and social liberalism in the hopes of gaining electoral strength and to seek a coalition agreement with the Soc Dems. Some members of the Soc Dems who were on the right of their party chose to join the People's Party as a result of this ideological shift. Yana Aurßtein, previously Chairwoman of the Assembly of Popular Representatives before the Crisis, was chosen to lead the new party in a bitter leadership contest between her and the more conservative Oliver Cruikshank. The WT Coalition was largely held responsible for the events preceding the Vedastian Crisis, and their electoral returns were poor, but they still retained several dozen seats in the Chamber of Deputies. Aurßtein was chosen to be the leader of the official opposition coalition, the Democratic Union, which had the Soc Dems and the United Left as members. However, the Tories eventually revolted against Yana Aurßtein and ousted her, replacing with her previous opponent, Cruikshank. With her ouster, the Soc Dems once again led the DU. Members of the social liberal faction of the Tories joined the Soc Dems afterward. Cruikshank's push to get the Tories back to the right again proved successful in the 2018 election, with the Tories increasing their numbers by 15 members in the Chamber of Deputies. The Tories are still part of DU.

Party Name: United Left
Image
Seats: Senate: 5/64; Chamber of Deputies: 65/1000
Ideologies:
  • Democratic socialism: The means of production should be owned by the people who use them and resources should be allocated democratically, not by means of a market system. The market system should eventually be abolished, but not in its entirety as of yet.
  • Progressivism: Social progress is a good in and of itself.
  • One-world government: The world should eventually come under the rule of one government, leading to the eventual abolition of borders.
  • Eco-socialism: Environmental protection and pollution reduction should be prioritized over industrial growth.
Support base: Left-wing working class, extreme progressives, left-wing immigrants, environmentalists.
The United Left was originally a coalition of parties on the left of the Vedastian political spectrum, which have not been historically successful as a whole. The United Left coalition was founded by the Social Democrats in the early 2000s as a means of shoring up support for more left-wing parties against the Whig-Tory Coalition, which was favored to regain control of the government. The Soc Dems invited the Green Party, the global federalist Global Alliance, and the Communist Party to join, which they accepted. As predicted, the WT Coalition regained their majorities after a short period of Soc Dem control. The United Left formed the official opposition until the Soc Dems were forced out of the United Left due to its other member parties finding it too moderate. While the UL was originally a Soc Dem creation, it solidified the relationships between its remaining member parties. Mick Benson, who lead the Green Party and had led the United Left before the Soc Dem's departure, continued to lead the UL until the Vedastian Crisis. The Crisis scared him into joining the Soc Dems, hoping that the Soc Dems' electoral prospects would improve and avert a NM-majority government with his arrival. Benson's departure was the push that the UL needed to merge its member parties into one party. Michael FitzAlan, leader of the Communist Party and a deputy leader of the opposition, was chosen to lead the new merged UL party. FitzAlan's political sympathies had shifted away from Marxism to democratic socialism during the Crisis and was an ideal candidate to lead the new party. UL chose to join the Democratic Union, a coalition between the Soc Dems and the Tories. Their more hard-line stance attracted many voters away from the Soc Dems, increasing UL's seats in the Chamber of Deputies to 65.

Party Name: Christian Democratic Coalition
Image
Seats: Senate: 3/64; Chamber of Deputies: 62/1000
Ideologies:
  • Christian democracy: Social conservatism combined with economic interventionism, though many members of the party are opposed to economic interventionism.
  • Social conservatism: Certain vices should be prohibited by the government, even if the rest of the population disagrees.
  • Internationalism: Mutual cooperation between governments & international organizations and an open immigration policy. The CDC supports tariffs, however.
  • Decentralization: Most of the party supports decentralization due to Vedastia's pluralistic nature and history of centralized control by an imperial power.
Support base: Catholics, evangelical protestants, social conservatives, New Iberia, Gordia
The Christian Democratic Coalition was originally three separate faith-based parties; the Catholic Party, the Reformed Party, and the Christian Front (Pentecostal). None of these parties had much electoral success since Vedastia's politics largely ignored religion after independence until the aftermath of the Vedastian Crisis. Most social conservatives, especially those in New Iberia and Gordia, backed the Tories or the Rennies and later the national-conservative and corporatist factions of NM instead of sectarian parties. However, there was a religious revival in New Iberia in the years following the Crisis, and many people started turning to faith-based politics, including in Gordia. Without a acceptable united party that followed their vision, the three sectarian parties decided to merge into one party, the Christian Democratic Coalition, in 2017. Led by Congregationalist minister Ranitu Kunxalvuvilii, this new party also attracted people who came from outside of New Iberia and Gordia, who became interested in faith-based politics as a result of the merger of the Anglican Church of Vedastia and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Vedastia into the United Episcopal Church of Vedastia. Many legislators defected from the Tories and the national-conservative & corporatist factions of NM, as well as a handful of socially-conservative Soc Dems. The party's fortunes improved with the 2018 election, having the largest electoral gain in the Chamber of Deputies after PtV, almost doubling their numbers. The CDC is not a member of any coalition, despising both VT and the DU for their majority liberal attitudes toward social mores, as well as VT's opposition to immigration.

Political Parties in Pachenstein

Postby Pachenstein » Tue Dec 11, 2018 11:34 am

Party Name: Zentrumspartei (Centre Party)
Image
Seats: 64/100 seats in the Landtag
Ideologies:
- Majority faction: Christian democracy, social market economy
- Minority faction: Social democracy, trade unionism
Support base: The support base for the Zentrumspartei is broad, with a majority of Catholics from all classes casting their votes for the party, due to its strong ties with the Church and the trade unions. The majority faction in the party consists of Christian democrats, whereas the minority faction draws its support from the labour movement.

Party Name: Vaterlandspartei (Fatherland Party)
Image
Seats: 19/100 seats in the Landtag
Ideologies: National conservatism, economic liberalism
Support base: As a nationalist party with capitalist credentials, the Vaterlandspartei has typically drawn the majority of its votes from the wealthy, especially those in urban areas. In recent elections, the party has flirted with right-wing populism in an attempt to attract votes from the working-class.

Party Name: Landbund (Agrarian Federation)
Image
Seats: 13/100 seats in the Landtag
Ideologies: Agrarianism, economic protectionism
Support base: The Landbund's vote is strongly concentrated among farmers and others in rural areas.

Party Name: Evangelische Volkspartei (Evangelical People's Party)
Image
Seats: 4/100 seats in the Landtag
Ideologies Christian democracy, political Protestantism
Support base: Another sectional party, the Evangelische Volkspartei represents Pachenstein's Protestant minority.

There are two registered political parties in Vii.

Electoral law permits a maximum of three, but so far no third party has been able to gather the required support to qualify for registration.

CONSERVATIVE PARTY
Generally supportive of the Grand Prior and the Synod, resistant to change, committed to preserving social dignity and encouraging the growth of the free market.

REPUBLICAN PARTY
Socialists and proponents of replacing the Grand Prior with an elected head of state, better health and welfare services and stronger international relations.

There is one political party in Ghost Land, namely the Ghost Landian Democratic Party (though they are democratic in name only, preferring a psychotic dictatorship). Forming another political party is forbidden by law.

The 42nd Tinhamptonian Assembly (149 seats) - serving between 2017 and 2019
in the Government:
--- United Conservative Party: 34 seats (inc. Mayor John Price)
--- Tinhamptonian Libertarian Party: 19 seats
--- Free Democratic Party: 18 seats
--- Tinhampton First Party: 6 seats

77 SEATS (of 149) TOTAL
on the Opposition:
--- Social Democratic List [Official Opposition]: 33 seats (inc. Speaker Ian Jones)
--- The Green-Environmentalist Party: 7 seats
--- Equal Rights Party: 6 seats
--- Solidarity With Immigrants Party: 6 seats
--- Pirate Party: 5 seats
--- Humanist & Secularist Party: 4 seats
--- Miners' Party: 4 seats
--- The Seriously Serious Party: 4 seats
--- Death to the State: 2 seats
--- Fluoride Free Tinhampton: 1 seat

In short:
  • United Conservative Party (UCP) - conservatism. Formed from the ashes of the Conservative Union in 1959, after the Communist takeover.
  • Social Democratic List (SDL) - social democracy to liberalism. Formed from the ashes of the Left and Labour Party in 1959, after the Communist takeover.
  • Tinhamptonian Libertarian Party (TLP) - libertarianism. Has ridden off the UKIP now a European populist wave plus a desire for personal freedoms (and threats to then-Mayor Lydia Anderson's job), even if seemingly briefly. Splintered from the UCP in 1994, with three AMs.
  • Free Democratic Party (FDP) - centrism. Formed from the ashes of the Democratic Party in 1959, after the Communist takeover.
  • Green-Environmentalist Party (G-EP) - environmentalism. A merger between the two fledgling green parties of the time, the Green Party and the Environmentalist Party (independent and a SDL splinter respectively), in 1977.
  • Equal Rights Party (ERP) - feminism. Formed in 1969.
  • New International Party - internationalist. A merger of two parties in 2018: the Solidarity with Immigrants Party splintered from the SDL in 1989, with two AMs. Jamie Williamson's International Focus Party was founded in 1962 and had constant Assembly representation from the following year's election until the merger.
  • Humanist and Secularist Party (HSP) - secularism. Formed in 1979.
  • Seriously Serious Party (SSP) - joke party. Formed in 1983.
  • Tinhampton First Party (T1P) - far-right, pro-religion. Splintered from the UCP in 1968, with four AMs.
  • the Miners' Party (MP) - miners' interests. Formed in 1974.
  • the Pirate Party (PP) - typical pirate party, mainly libertarian-leaning on the internet. Formed in 2005.
  • Death to the State (DEATS) - ancom party; some have questioned as to whether they are a joke party. Formed in 1984.
  • Smaller/single-issue parties - Concerned Families Party (2001-date), Fluoride-Free Tinhampton (1994-date), Reparations Party (most controversially; never won a seat; 1989-1997), Tinhampton Union of Sovereignty (NatSov; 1965-date; still exists but only garners about a hundred votes or so every year, despite claiming a seat in 2013), etc.
In addition, there have been several defunct parties. To name two of the more notable: The Christian Democratic Party (led by Celia Bauer) attempted to present itself as a hybrid of T1P's religious focus and UCP's mild conservatism, and did see success in the late 80s and early 90s (to the extent where Bauer was even awarded the job of Minister for Business Standards back in '92), but the party jumped ship to the main UCP in 1994. Diana Knight resigned from the UCP and Assembly in 2012 to form the New Christian Democratic Party; they have since merged with a likeminded centre-right party to form the somewhat more successful Your Tinhampton!-New Christian Democratic Party.
Meanwhile, KUMBAYA! was a more harmony-focused party whose ultimate aim was to integrate Tinhampton with the (old) United Nations to enjoy "global harmonised standards", but was exposed after then-Education Secretary Lydia Anderson ordered an investigation into the party's infiltration of schools in May 2002 (which led to St. Margaret's Catholic School, Anderson's alma mater, to declare independence from Tinhampton for two weeks in protest); the party was forcibly dissolved in October, but not proscribed.

Ideologies: Marxism-Leninism, Market Socialism, Democratic Centralism, Internationalism, Centralization, Globalization
Support base: (What groups of people tend to support this party?) Marxist-Leninists, Wawakanise Social Nationalists, Chinese Social Nationalists, Social Nationalists
Breif History (optional): The Democratic Workers Party, also referred to as the Democratic Party, is the founding and ruling party of the SUSR. The Democratic Party is the sole governing party within the SUSR, permitting only eight other, subordinated parties to co-exist, those making up the United Front. The party was founded in 1921 on the basis of democratic centralism which entails democratic and open discussion on policy on the condition of unity in upholding the agreed upon policies. According to the party constitution, the DWP officially adheres to Engelism-Laximism, Mao Gengxin Thought, Xi Xiaoping Thought, scientific outlook on development, Song Liyuan Thought, and socialist market economy. However, the party is currently split between to camps of political thoughts under "Songism", which promotes economic reform and peaceful co-existence, and "Bronshteinism", which promotes interventionism and militarization along with more aggressive take on foreign policy against the US and capitalist states.

Nation: The Worker's Socialist Republic of the Great and Free Socialist Eurasia

Party Name: The Worker's Samuilist Party of the Great and Free Socialist Eurasia (WSP/WSPGFSE)
Image
Seats: 1000/1000
Ideologies: A strange mix of Juche, Stalinism, Marxism, and Leninism under one totalitarian communistic ideology called Samuilism, named after its founder.
Support base: It is illegal in Eurasia to support any other party. Doing so will result in death.
Brief History (optional):

While Samuil joined the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1967 and became its premier in 1984, the WSP was only created after the Communist Party of the Soviet Union was outlawed and replaced by it. It was renamed to the WSPGFSE after the founding of Eurasia in 1992, after Europe and the territories conquered by China joined the Soviet Union.
LONG LIVE OUR GREAT AND FREE SOCIALIST EURASIA!
100 years ago, the great Soviet Union was formed. 25 years ago, our Great and Free Socialist Eurasia was formed. We are the only people's state, under the laws of Marx, Engels, Stalin, Kim, and Samuil. Proletarians of all countries, unite!

Nation: Leftopian Leftland of the Left

Party Name: The Lefttastic Left Party of the Leftopian Leftland of the Left
Ideology: Radical Anarcha-Communist Queer Eco-Feminism

Arose from the fusion of all current Leftopian Leftland of the Left's party's one day, in order to promote solidarity and fight capitalismFASCISM. Also because they wanted an anarchist party in government but then realized that didn't really make much sense.
Support Base: Full solidarity.

Party Name: People's Workers Party of the Left
Ideology: Marxism-Leninism, Stalinism, Maoism, Red Fascism, State Capitalism

Diverged from (as one half of) the Revolutionary Worker's Party of the Left, over ideological difference. Heavily invested in agricultural and industrial means, and notoriously known for it's anti intellectualism, anti property and interest in centralized state power.
Support Base: Peasants

Party Name: Revolutionary Communism Party of the Left
Ideology: Marxism, Trotskyism, Anarcho-Commmunism, Champagne Socialism

Diverged from (as one half of) the Revolutionary Worker's Party of the Left, over ideological difference. Heavily invested in education and public relations, but yet to show it's true capabilities in other areas. Relatively grassroot. Still believe it's 1950.
Support Base: White middle class men.

Party Name:Black Panther and Hispanic Pride Party
Ideology: Black Nationalism, Latin Nationalism, Fascism, Right Wing Populism

Literally a far right group, just in a different colour
Support Base: Non caucasian

Party Name: Radical Feminist Party of the Left
Ideology: Revolutionary Socialism, Fourth Wave Feminism, White Feminism, Misandry

Originally a single issue party that grew to a prominent influence. Promote a matriarchy and a radical uphaul of every schema and context. Very prejudice towards cis men and trans people. Doesn't acknowledge struggles of woman of colour. Still believe it's 1970.
Support Base: White middle class woman

Party Name: Rainbow Pride
Ideology: Queer Feminism, Queer Anarchism, LGBT, e-Donations

Most of this party's presence exists mostly on the information highway, and while it's influence does exist in the real world it is to a much less degree than other parties in terms of application. Notoriously anti cisgendered. Actually condemned by most of the trans community.
Support Base: Otherkin tumblrites

Party Name: Leftopian Leftland Progressive Humanist Party
Ideology: Social Liberalism, Progressivism, Social Democracy

Currently the only party that actually desires true equality between all characteristics and demographics. Largely ignored for either being the status quo and the previous establishment, or due to it's pacifist nature.
Support Base: Wide array of different genders, sexualities and races. Most poorer class support comes from here.

Party Name: Compassionate Party of Eco-Peace
Ideology: Veganism, Environmentism, Eco-Socialism, Eco-Fascism, Anti-Industrial, Volunteerism

While they genuinely have some extremely good ideas and points that could help the nation, the party is not only too focused on single issues and policies rather than the wider picture, but they continually demanded referendums every time they lost elections
Support Base: Varies. Most poorer class support comes from here.

Party Name: Islamic Radical Unification of Leftopian Leftland of the Left in praise of the one true Allah
Ideology: Islamism, Theocracy, Arabic Nationalism, Anti-Liberalism, Misogyny

A party everyone is too afraid to criticise and challenge without shattering their whole identity politics.
Support Base: White atheists

Social conservatism
White Willaura Policy

Support base: The Worker's Union has the support base of every Willauran, be it the young or old. The strongest supporters of the Worker's Union, however, are the workers themselves (as the name implies.) The WU has stood behind the backbone of the nation countless times, such as the Larana Riots of 1913, the beginning of the Reservation Laws, and the struggle against the land barons in the early founding years of the nation. Because of this, the WU enjoys great popularity all across the nation, albeit with claims that the WU actually enforces a rigid dictatorship within the party line. Aikoland is a multiparty constitutional monarchy in which six parties currently have representation in Parliament. The six parties are as follows:
Her Majesty's Government
Aikoland Conservatives (105 seats): The Aikoland Conservatives are a right-wing socially and fiscally conservative political party. They are also cultural nationalists and are against the United Nations and want to withdraw the country from the organization. The party is also a strong supporter of the Royal Military and plans to increase military funding. The current Prime Minister, Song Eun-Bi, is a member of the Aikoland Conservatives.

National Party of Aikoland (97 seats): The National Party of Aikoland is a center-right party that is mildly socially conservative and fully fiscally conservative. Like the Aikoland Conservatives, they are supporters of the Royal Military but unlike them, they are not fully anti-UN, merely skeptical of the organization.

Her Majesty's Official Opposition
Liberal Democratic Party (89 seats): The Liberal Democratic Party is a center-left socially democratic party. They support raising taxes on the rich in order to fund improvements to Aikoland's welfare system.

Aikoland Labor Party (77 seats): The Aikoland Labor Party is a left-wing democratic socialist party. They are strong supporters of the redistrubution of wealth and desire for a 95% top tax rate on the highest income bracket. The party is also strongly pacifist and wants to reform the Royal Military as the Royal Self-Defense Force.

Other Parties
Aikoland Republican Party (1 seat): The Aikoland Republican Party is a center-left party that officially espouses their desire to see the monarchy dissolved and replaced with a republic. The party is also a social democratic party and often votes with the LDP. They are strongly anti-military and their party platform for the transitioning of Aikoland to a republic includes the complete dissolution of the military and a declaration of permanent neutrality in foreign affairs.

Party of Nationalist Aikolanders (6 seats): The Party of Nationalist Aikolanders is a far-right ethnic nationalist political party. The party is socially conservative, anti-UN, and anti-immigration. They desire to close the Aikoland borders from all non-Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese nationals with a gradual deportation of any people not from those ethnic groups already living within the nation. There is a very strong religious element within the party who also desire for Aikoland to become a Christian nation, although it is not part of the official party platform.
