I mean this is basically what Myrensis did all year in 2016, so it's not a surprise.

Not paying attention to who writes what has its ups and downs.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

Was just pointing out that maybe one of the reasons black voters still overwhelmingly voted for Hillary, in spite of her enduring love for all things KKK, is because Bernie's claim to civil rights fame was protesting in college 60 years ago, then promptly moving to and spending the rest of his life in a state where he'd have to make a special effort to find two black people in the same place.

And this diminishes anything why?

Cool story, we'll see if that theory is correct. I think he'd be a strong vice candidate to back someone else vs running as the main again.

He's in a unique position to handpick a torch bearer.

Presumably it diminishes Sanders claim to be different when he, for whatever reasons, supported the same legislation Clinton supported. But do please get back to us on how you hate politicians and all politicians are shitty except for the ones that you yourself deem real, no?

At least you only whatabout in one direction

Getting back on track, any centrist who has sanity 2020.

A bunch of Dems who are going to pander to the progressive base and Trump.

Nope.

It need not be Dems, center Republicans would be ok too.

But centerists would be only passable, now that Bernie is in again, I'm going all the way with him.

It’s important to make sure the Democratic Party nominates someone who will fight the racist system in our country. They should make it loud and clear in their campaign.

I will say this; if there was one Democrat I would potentially vote for in the election, it'd probably be Joe Biden.

Yeah, and the state thing is less about racism in any direction than it is about the fact that the population of Vermont doesn't incentivize Sanders to spend political capital on racial issues or really social issues of any kind. And he doesn't. Perhaps it's accordingly, or perhaps he should have a record pushing those things. Yes, he says the right things about them, but he's never put any effort into forcing those legal changes

I will note again the fact that you don't attempt to defend politicians, other than Bernie Sanders, from their own records and yet decry all of politics loudly

So, just ignore the racism? If the Democratic nominee wants to really be progressive, they need to pit social justice issues at the helm of their campaign.

They don't need to pit social justice issues at the helm of their campaign.

They need to stop that crap and make this a better America.

Everyone is tired of that stuff. Lets just let the IDPOL die and move on.

This feels too close to "You know what the real problem is? People who keep noticing there's a problem..."
