How does your country celebrate New Year's Eve?

On New Years Eve a few minutes before midnight our President makes a two minute speech and then gets on a chair. It is a Vallermoorian tradition to get on a chair just before the New Year and jump off into it on the first stroke of midnight. People link arms, sing Auld Lang Syne , hug and kiss friends and family members, dance in a circle and then watch the national White House fireworks display on TV, and often they let off their own fireworks too. Vallermoorian cities often sound like they are in the middle of warzones on New Year's Eve with all the fireworks going off. Although it is banned, every year a few people fire their guns in the air as well, if they can get away with it.

Sadly, a few people drink and drive and get jailed and one or two end up facing death penalty charges for causing death or permanantly paralysing someone through drink driving. As long as the country is at peace, military discipline is loosened a little bit on New Year's Eve, and men can even ask questions of officers and NCOs within reason and not be punished for doing so.

Most people don't celebrate New Year's Eve. In fact, it's typical to barely notice the day.

In our largest City of *** **** ****, we light the sky up with fireworks. Midnight looks like day in our nation.

It is a local New Years Eve tradition in Gray Wolf-san to light up cities with fireworks. The leader (Gray Wolf), as social as she is, often goes to the festivals in Greater Lodge Campo. Many other festivals take place in other cities as well. The stalls at these festivals traditionally sold things like charms, local food and sweets and hand-crafted statues, though they now have modernised, and are now selling more varied food and items.

People usually party and get drunk if they can manage it, which Gray Wolf herself is pretty much ashamed to admit happened to her once or twice (though it wasn't her idea either time).

People from Québec celebrates new year's eve by watching Québec's national hockey team play at the World Junior Hockey Championships against canada, U.S.A. or Russia. They even travel to host cities to see their national team live and host countries benefit from it because of all the money Québécois spends in their host cities.

New Year’s Eve is a day of celebration in the Kingdom of Alma Ruma. On New Year’s Eve, the Heinrich Royal Concer Hall hosts an orchestral concert full of great classical music from the years. The concert normally lasts from 7pm to midnight. Just before midnight, the orchestra stops playing and everyone in the concert hall stands. There is a countdown and then at midnight, the orchestra plays the National Anthem of the Kingdom of Alma Ruma and everyone in attendance sings along.

At the Royal Palace in Astoria, a grand ball is held in which all members of the Royal Family, Parliament, the Supreme Court, and members of Alma Rumas elite all come together to bring jn the new year. There is singing, dancing, music, food drinks, and just before midnight, the monarch of the Kingdom delivers a speech (normally about five minutes long) and leads the crowd in a countdown to the new year. At midnight there is a firework show as the national anthem is played.

On New Year’s Day, there is a mass held at the Cathedral of St. Alessia in Astoria, followed by a parade held in the city of Astoria, with a military march, bands, members of parliament and the Royal Family. The streets are lined with people for the parade.

This New Year’s however, with the State Funeral of King Alfred II on the 30th, the mood is expected to be much more somber. All normal events will be held, with one small adjustment. The monarch will not deliver a speech at the palace. There will instead be a five minute moment of silence, followed by a countdown, and the national anthem.

New Years is a very important event in Reimu's Neo Gensokyo, and it is celebrated from January 1st to January 6th. Many people go to the Moriya Shrine (because the Hakurei Shrine, despite it's political importance as the home of the leader, doesn't attract visitors) and donate to them. There's often a large festival, and the people who celebrate on top of the mountain will get to see the sunrise before the rest of the nation does. Those who celebrate at home do a quick prayer to the gods and enjoy a nice banquet.

As the official Nortan civil and legal calendar begins on Lady Day on the 1st of April, the 31st of December is not celebrated a New Year's Eve. Instead, it is celebrated as St Silvester's Day, the 7th day of Christmas. Traditions for the actual New Year's Eve, being the 31st of March, include cleaning the house completely, playing the bellsboard (a type of musical instrument like a chime) and rent collection ceremonies.

In Waratendia, we celebrate new year's eve on 15th of February, due to the calender being different. All people must attend church, and cleanse their soul. Rituals are made. Human sacrifices are made to the gods. Prisoners are often put into a massive pit, and then burned.
Commiting crime on new year's eve, is the highest possible sin, since it is the day of the god. At 12 o'clock in the evening, the prisoners are burned, and festivals reach their high point. Fireworks are prohibited, meaning that they can't be used.

In Painisia, New Years Eve is considered a highly esteemed tradition. At the start of the day, the TV channels and news programs will broadcast rewinds of the tear that has passed. Many go out to buy fireworks or to meet their family. Before midnight, every Painisian eats an elegant dinner; a roasted turkey with spiced spinet and potato mash with gravy. Dessert is usually pastries with rice cream and ice cream. The President himself takes a stroll after his exquisite dinner around his Presidential Garden.

When the clock strikes 00:00, Granderburg is launched into an atmosphere of joy and celebration. Fireworks lit up the sky and Granderburgians are dancing conga on the main avenues. Other cities have their distinctive traditions during New Year. Villages celebrate New Year with a huge gathering in the village centre consisting of all members of the village.

In Gandoor, New Year's Eve is celebrated by watching the New Year's Eve Broadcast on GBN. The New Year's Eve Broadcast is an annual special that has aired on GBN, the Gandoorese public broadcaster, since 31 December 1949 and was the first non-experimental television broadcast in our nation. The special airs live from Osaka, our largest city, and starts at 19:00 GWT/20:00 GCT/21:00 GET and ends at 1:00 GWT/2:00 GCT/3:00 GET.

During the New Year's Eve Broadcast there are musical performances, comedy skits, and a New Year's speech by the Prime Minister. In the early years of the special, the Prime Minister's speech was prerecorded, but starting with the 1960 New Year's Eve Broadcast, they have delivered it live during the show. The Prime Minister also counts down to the New Year three times during the broadcast, one for each of Gandoor's three time zones.

The New Year's Eve Broadcast has been the most watched television event during the New Year ever since 1959 with last year's special gaining a 65% audience share.

The lights and flight paths of the chosen troops will be used to form intricate patterns in the sky. It is said that all of the lights and the associated wiring and control systems were furnished by Ultimate Mods, which makes elite custom-engineered modification parts ranging all the way from lights like these to 100% unique Decepticon bodies. Rumors that the development of the show involved hefty bribes and kickbacks are probably true, but it should be awe-inspiring and breathtaking, so nobody cares. If Ultimate Mods is involved, at least one formation will boldly spell out the name and address of the business - subtlety and advertising are considered irreconcilable contradictions here.

New Year's is a major holiday in Toropikaru. It starts on December 31 with a holiday called the Day of Reflection. The Day of Reflection is a day spent reflecting on what happened over the past year. This is also when people do their final shrine visit of the year at their nearest Shijo temple. Then, as the clock reaches midnight, most people eat Ka'su'ssisui'min. Ka'su'ssisui'min is a common New Year's dish that consists of tuna and shrimp on noodles in a kelp broth. Then after midnight, people drink Kasuji (an extremely bitter drink) for good health. On New Year's Day people go out to their first shrine visit of the century.

New Years isn't usually commemorated in Berhakonia, and takes a backseat to the celebration of the Circumcision and Naming of Christ, with great reverence given to Martyr St. Zoticus, Protector of the Poor, St. Melania the Younger, St. Joseph the Guardian, King David, forefather of Christ, and Patriarch James the Just, Brother of Christ.

Despite Libonesia is Predominantly a Muslim Country, the Nation its Self Doesn't Celebrate the New Year Eve Like Most of the Countries Due to Islamic Strict Regulation on Celebrating Holidays Other than the Two Eid of Fitr and Adha (Islamic Holiday) the Two Holidays that Muslim are Permitted to Celebrate only While Other than that is Forbidden, But Even though the Country Doesn't Celebrate the New Year Instead the Government are Encouraging the People to Have at least 1 Rest Day Given to Every Workers in Every New Year on the 1st of January on Which Must of the Office and Work Place are off Just like in the Weekend, But of Course for those Non-Muslim Who is Willing to Celebrate it is Totally Tolerated in Libonesia.
