There are several forms of hadith, but the main ones are

1. Sahih (Outstanding)
2. Hasan (Good)
3. Da'if (Weak)
4. Mau'du (Fabricated)

The first one has a chain called an isnad. All the narrators that are in it go back to the person who originally said the hadith. All narrators must be known for excellent memories and good character, and truthfulness.

Hasan is also like that to an extent but the narrator who narrated it didnt have as much of a good memory as the person who narrated a sahih, but was known for good character and truthfulness.

Da'if is where a hadith may seem odd, contradicting the Quran and Sunnah alongside a broken chain of narration.

While Mau'du is where it has the same as Da'if, but the person who narrated was a known liar and known for misconduct.

It's a hadith specific towards drink and intoxication, and not sins in general. Although I'm sure there's a similar one to that which would have made your point a little better, I'm surprised that isn't being used as the example instead.

I was using an analogy. Qiyas is a thing in Al-Islam.

illah not met. No intent for sexual relations with the Danish police officer. At least not this specific one.

And if your handshake somehow ends with you getting pinned to the curbside, something probably went terribly wrong with that handshake.

I always looked at not shaking hands as also keeping your mind free from impure thoughts, meaning to prevent them. Of course, most people won't outright sexually assault someone of the opposite sex over a handshake, but in islam, impure thoughts are a big no no

I'm not a pureblood, but one would be hard-pressed to make a valid claim of sexual misconduct on my part.

For some reason "touching" in that hadith sounds more like a euphism ragarding consumation of marriage. Aside from the part about holding the hands of other men.

Anyways, a moot point since nobody has yet opted not to shake hands with the Danish Civil official in question as of this time yet despite there being accomodations in place should that happen.

In terms of touching the hand of the opposite sex, there actually is ikhtilaaf (difference of opinion) on this issue. Some scholars believe it to be haram, others makruh and others halal.

Well, that's ISIS occupation forces trying to institute their vision of an ideal caliphate. So... probably the fringe of a fringe. At least that's what some other people hope.

Even if that's true, that's stupid and has nothing to do with Islam. Besides, ISIS are heretics.

Yes, but as pointed out in the other topic, Mohammed needed psychiatric help which was nonexisting in his day and age.
We can pity him for that; but also rejoice that help is now available. All one needs to do is accept it.

Muhammad never had a mental illness of any sort.

The allegation that Muhammad was mentally ill is a poor attempt to discredit his prophet hood nor is it backed up by any evidence whatsoever.

Muhammad being mentally ill doesn't make all that much sense, really.

Usually when a prophet receives their first revelation, it is often significant and vivid. They may perceive such as overwhelming due to the fact they never received a true vision/dream of that significance in the past.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Muhammad is considered to have been mentally ill (and having been suffered from multiple mental disorders including sociopathy) by most of the Academia at this point. Hell, his "revelation" itself has almost all signs of schizophrenia.
But eh. Sure. Prophet, mentally ill, it's just a matter of the period of time it happens in.

Those same academics are attempting to explain the various events that occurred to prophets from a more down-to-earth perspective.

Muhammad could've gotten affected by a gas of some sorts like the Temple of Delphi in that cave of his for all we know.
