National Security Operations will not be exempt from the shutdown it will effect the entire government. 400,000 government employees will be sent home without pay and won’t be paid for awhile.
If you work for the government, this includes military, expect to not get a paycheck for 6 months

It's almost like electing a man-child to be the President was a bad idea. Who could have known?

Y'know, being relatively well-versed in military history and all...
Not paying your troops is a particularly dangerous action.

I was just being a smartass and mocking city folk.
I really have no reason to support Trump anymore. I've gotten my judges and while I'd like to replace RBG with someone else I'm more than content to consider the past year or two a win and move on.

That’s even if the shutdown lasts remotely close to 6 months. I feel bad for federal employees in general though, I’d hate to work for an employer that can just shut down and leave me without pay for days/weeks at a time. This is like the 3rd shutdown in the past year, this childish garbage is aggravating.

Trump is becoming harder and harder to support by the day, it seems.
The hardliner Republicans are throwing their weight behind him though because to the eyes of both of the parties' hardliners, this has become a battle for existence, where the other side is the ultimate enemy.

It only affects 25 percent of the government.

Obviously not but they are a essential service and have to work.
They don’t work for free forever dude. If this lasts more than three months the ATC guys are gonna strike. Which would immediately ground all air traffic in the US and would have a domino effect in world air travel and at home.
After two months of ATC striking the airline employees would go on strike, followed by the truckers, rail, and other transportation workers. Then the service and manufacture workers would strike bringing the economy to a grinding halt. At that point the world economy would start to collapse. Riots and revolutions would be widespread.
So moral of the story pay your peeps
