Yeah the movie is quite weak. The show even at its worst is better than it imo

Surely they kept the show that resurrected Maul canon? And then brought him back in a live-action film?

Indeed, well two shows.

Clone wars and Rebels, Rebels comes after Solo, and Clone wars before it.

Well, episode one is an instant improvement. I like that Yoda's more of a clever fighter than just the flippy-Forcey warrior of the prequels, and some of his advice to the clones felt more like OT Yoda. I assume at some point I'll find out who Ventress is and why everyone seems to know her already (until then, I shall assume that this bald, pale-skinned "Supreme Leader" is Snoke).

All in all, an excellent start.

Although, ffs. Talk backwards that often, Yoda does not! Had this problem too, the prequels did. But worse here, I think it is.

The show shows Ventress' origins (And that actually becomes a really big part of the story), but they don't fully explain how she become Dooku's personal assassin (You're gonna want to watch the no longer canon Star Wars Clone Wars to find that out (Yes, that is its name, and was made by the same person who made Dexter's Lab and Samurai Jack)).

You get an introduction to both Ventress and Grevious in the original Clone Wars animated show.

Yeah, the film, while it had some impressive animation, wan't that good.

As for the rest of the show, all I'll say is:
WELCOME, BROTHER!
(a bit of a warning: a few episodes are crap. especially C-3P0 and R2-D2's adventure episode)

IMO there’s no need to watch every Clone Wars episode. The story jumps around, so you don’t really benefit from seeing every one. The first two seasons are also pretty kiddy, and the maturity in the writing that some fans go on and on about doesn’t start until season 3.

Really you should just watch the few good episodes from the first two seasons, then look up which arcs you can skip for the others.

I've already watched each episode at least once or twice.

Just another reminder that the General Grievous from Tartakovsky's Clone Wars was fucking awesome

When i watched that fight for the first time as a kid it was soo fucking good. One of my favourite moments from any star wars content.

And then episode III came out and Grievous was very disappointing. Was hoping the other clone wars show would make him as cool as that one but unfortunately not.
