Obama added under a trillion of debt to the National debt. However he had created a 6 trillion deficit, which is not the same as debt, by the time he left office.
Please keep lying about how he didn’t ad to the deficit or cut it

The economists are the people that study economics! They're the one's that read the statistics. Tell me, why do you think they've magically come to the assumption that rent control is bad? Because it is! Rent controls exasperate housing shortages. Economists near unanimously despise rent controls because they almost always result in poor decaying housing, abandoned neighborhoods, and declines in housing constructions. Would you like me to explain the economic forces behind this? Would you like me to source (more) economists on this, or are you just going to keep going "No! No! No!" and further demonstrate the absurdity and idiocy of the pro-rent control crowd?

According to WaPo Obama added just under a trillion to the debt
Obama had a deficit of $6.786 trillion in total during his entire presidency
Take the damn blinders off
You need to take the blinders off and read what I am saying. Did i ever he didn't add to them? NO. And deficit adds to the debt.
Mystic Warriors wrote:Thermodolia wrote:Because they didn’t want to make Obama look bad. Same reason why republicans didn’t make a peep under Trump or Bush. Because a political party and it’s partisan hacks aren’t going to attack their own leadership
The debt went up because of the 2008 recession and Obama started to bring the deficit down after that. It wasn't going to normalize right away, after almost a decade of it.
Mystic Warriors wrote:Thermodolia wrote:And yet the democrats didn’t give a shit about the debt under Obama but they wouldn’t shut up about it under Bush and Trump
Stop passing the buck. And that is a lie. They did care under Obama, the circumstances were different and he brought the deficit down on his own.

It's far more useful to infiltrate their ranks and manipulate them for your own ideological ends. Like what the Trump wing is doing now or what SocDems are trying to do to Dems.

Just from one city:
"Rent control has destroyed entire sections of sound housing in New York’s South Bronx and has led to decay and abandonment throughout the entire five boroughs of the city. Although hard statistics on abandonments are not available, William Tucker estimates that about 30,000 New York apartments were abandoned annually from 1972 to 1982, a loss of almost a third of a million units in this eleven-year period. Thanks to rent control, and to potential investors’ all-too-rational fear that rent control will become even more stringent, no sensible investor will build rental housing unsubsidized by government." https://www.econlib.org/library/Enc/RentControl.html
Keep plugging your ears, I suppose. I'm not aware of Canada of controlling rent very much.

I know what an economist is......I was asking you to defend your claims and give actual proof. Which for pages you refused to do. Nobody should have to ask you 50 times for you to defend your statements.

"Finally"? One semester. You still need to provide these truths. Saying every economist isnt an obvious truth, it's just a blind statement.

Professional opinions are actual proof. I think you asked three times to provide (more) evidence. I'm sorrow, oh master, that I don't take time out of my day to obey your every wish.

So you dont think you have to provide proof, I should just take your word for it? Go play that game elsewhere, dont make the claim unless you plan on fully defending it.

What lie? You seem confused, the deficit was lower when he left compared to his first year. So saying he brought it down is not a lie. Get your mind straight
The deficit is not the same as the goddamn debt. Get that through your head. The deficit is the amount we overspend per year. Bringing down the deficit doesn’t mean that you didn’t add anything to the debt or that you brought down debt.
Also you can’t look at the last years of a president’s term as proof that they brought down the deficit, which if you had actually read any of the articles I posted you would have noticed that he added a total of 6 trillion to the deficit.
If we remember from Elementary school adding is the opposite of subtracting.
Here’s another article you won’t read because it hurts your idea of precious https://www.thebalance.com/current-u-s- ... it-3305783

Ah yes, the "Obaba, he who robes us daily, wasn't the messiah therefore he was AWFUL"
Sorry that slowing the train down isn't the same as throwing the brakes and derailing the whole damn thing. I'm also sorry that reducing the deficit to a third of what it was at the start of his term wasn't enough for you.
