It doesn't taste good, doesn't taste bad. communion wafers are, much like water, completely devoid of taste.

The wine, on the other hand, takes a fair bit of getting used to, though I've learned to tolerate it in small amounts. Still no idea how people drink that stuff for fun.

The taste shouldn't matter. Having said that, some of the younger kids do complain about it sometimes. :lol2:

Dry and unexciting, just like mass.

To me, they tasted like rice.

I occasionally buy the wafer tablets because they make excellent crunchy, non-filling snacks.

I never had one, so... I can't say whether it tastes good or not.

Never had one before, so I ordered a couple off of Amazon just to try them

They tasted like God damned my mouth to an eternal torment of disgust

How do Western Christians tolerate this stuff?

I never actually had it at my communion, it was just the wafers and swinging balls of incense

I also had a coughing fit that day due to recovering from the cold so that was fun trying to stifle that, made the day even more annoying.

Just regular old grape juice probably.

That’s what my church uses.

It's been like 10 years since I've had communion. I didn't mind the wafers. They weren't anything special but I guessed they tasted like bread. I also usually got a sip of the wine. One day they used white wine instead of red wine, it only happened once and it was quite shocking. I guess they ran out of red wine?

I remember the communion wafers tasting pretty bad since it was basically just a cracker if I remember correctly. However, that was years and years ago, before I started going to a United Methodist church.

The last church that I was going to actually used grape juice and King's Hawaiian bread, so it was pretty great.

I just imagined a traditionalist Catholic priest recoiling in terror at such barbarity.

I've never had communion because I am not Christian, but I keep misreading this thread title as "Communism Wafer Taste."

Is there any theological problem with it, though? I thought there was something about wine rather than grape juice, but the Hawaiian rolls should not be an issue at all.
