Putting this up to force myself to actually write up a Paladin char :3

Name: Yvonne Lafaille
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance (pics if possible):Image Image 2
Statistics:
Strength: 4
Agility: 1
Endurance: 5
Magical Prowess: 2
Bio:
As a younger daughter within the nobility of the Western Heartlands, Yvonne was born into a life of relative ease and luxury. Her needs were catered to by the servants of her family’s household and the responsibility of governance and rule lay safely on the shoulders of her parents and elder brothers. She was expected to live a quiet and easy life, being paraded at balls and galas before eventually being married off to a promising young nobleman. However, Yvonne quickly began to display a fiery independence that caused her parent’s no shortage of headaches. The intrigue and politicking between the families of the aristocracy all flew far above the young girl’s head and she instead occupied herself with the here-and-now. Rather than quickly take to her classes in prose and etiquette, Yvonne would elope from her family’s manor to seek out excitement and adventure. She would get herself covered in muck and grime, her beautiful gowns and dresses ending up torn and stained from her escapades. Growing increasingly concerned for their daughter’s future, Yvonne’s parents found it impossible to reign her in.

As is expected from the nobility, Yvonne’s family maintained a close relationship with the Church of the Divine. The secular and religious authorities engaged in an intricate dance, and with the Theocracies of Shar wielding particular influence in her homeland, Yvonne’s family often went to curry their favour. Yvonne had always been a diligent member of her congregation, dutifully attending the local Priest’s sermons and participating in the myriad of religious festivals that dotted the calendar. She had always found the teachings of the Church to be intriguing, and her curiosity would often shine through during her classes with the Priestess. However, the girl’s eyes were filled with a longing for thrill and excitement - both of which seemed to lie far from the shrines and icons of her local temple. Nevertheless, pressured by the girl’s parents to try and talk the wildness out of her, the Priestess kept an eye on the boisterous child

During one of her trips into the woodlands surrounding her home, Yvonne pushed herself farther and farther into the wilderness, determined to see how far she could go. Day steadily changed to dusk, but she was no stranger to spending a night or two away from her family’s estate. But out and alone, far from where anybody knew where to find her, the young girl never once considered the danger that she was placing herself in. A group of bandits, having heard that one of the Duke’s daughters would wander the area by herself, had set themselves up to ambush and capture her for ransom. They saw it as a quick and easy payday, a flawless opportunity to squeeze the fat nobility of some of their gold. But while they would have had no trouble with the girl on her own, they were taken by surprise as the weathered Priestess emerged from the bushes with her staff raised to fight.

At first laughing off the older woman’s threats, the bandits quickly learned that they had underestimated her abilities. With nothing but her walking stick against their iron swords, the Priestess dispatched all three of the would-be kidnappers who vanished into the bushes. Left stunned by the display, Yvonne was speechless as the Priestess made sure that she was unharmed. Explaining that she had been keeping an eye on her during her outings, the Priest had chosen to intervene as soon as the bandits had revealed themselves. Glancing around, she decided that they would not be able to make it back by nightfall, offering instead to set up camp together before journeying back to Yvonne’s family’s estate in the morning. It was around the fire that the Priestess found herself bombarded by questions faster than she could answer, eventually caving to the young girl’s curiosity and revealing that she had once been a Paladin before deciding to settle down in the rural temple. She explained what it meant to take the Oath of a Paladin to Yvonne, the girl enraptured by the tales of heroism and courage until the early morning hours forced the pair of them to bed. But even then, Yvonne found herself dreaming of a life in shining armour.

Returning home to find her parents worried sick, alternating between embracing her and scolding her for running off on her own for the upteemth time, Yvonne dropped the bombshell almost at once. She wished to become a Paladin when she came of age and to take the Oaths like the Priestess had done before her. All of the gathered adults were stunned by the confidence behind her words, and nothing that they said could sway her conviction. Promising to consider it, the idea quickly took root within the minds of Yvonne’s parents. They had long feared their daughter’s chances at finding a suitor given her personality, but having one of their children dedicate themselves to a Holy Order would greatly boost the family’s standing with the Church. Eventually, they conceded to their daughter’s pleas, and agreed to allow her to train under the Priestess.

Yvonne quickly proved herself to be a committed and capable fighter, taking to the Priestess’ teachings with a zeal and ability that came naturally to her. For the first time in the girl’s life, she felt a passionate conviction for what she was doing and threw herself into her studies. Even if she was no longer surrounded by the luxuries of the estate, Yvonne relished every second of her new life. Seeking to satiate her student’s eagerness, the Priestess drilled the morals and the codes of a Paladin’s oaths into Yvonne, imparting onto her the importance of the commitment and the duties which they upheld. By the time she turned 16, Yvonne was officially old enough to take the oaths for herself. With a twinkle in her eye and a fervor in her heart, the young woman said goodbye to her family and home before embarking on a pilgrimage to the Theocracies of Shar with a letter from her mentor.
Arriving in the vibrant city for the first time, Yvonne was enraptured by the scale of it all: from the towering structures to the masses of people. Getting lost on multiple occasions within the winding streets, she would eventually find her way to the main Temple where she respectfully offered her mentor’s letter and requested to be ordained as an official Paladin. With the Priestess’ recommendation, Yvonne’s request was accepted almost at once and she spent the next two years finishing her training before finally taking her oaths. Since then, she has travelled throughout the lands, going wherever her heart takes her in order to help the faithful and spread the teachings of the Divine. At one point she travelled as a pilgrim to the Free City of Faith and worked for a time with the Inquisition - although she did not become an inquisitor herself. Now she finds herself in Velathri, where she hopes to finally see the home of the famed Legion and to learn of their heroic ways.

Heroic Boon: N/A
Abilities:
  • [Paladin of the Faith]: As a Paladin, Yvonne has spent years training to be both a Priest and a Warrior. Heavy fighters and the religious equivalent of noble knights, Paladins are expert fighters and Yvonne is especially well-versed in close combat. Her heavy armour provides her plenty of protection and she has learned how to use a variety of weapons of war, although her preferred equipment is usually a heavy axe and a shield.
  • [Smite]: Channeling the strength of the Divine, Yvonne can beseech the pantheon for their aid against her foes. Magic courses through her weapons as she does this, with its strength proportional to her faith as she strikes down the enemies of the Church.
  • [Divine Protection]: Calling on the favour of the Divine in a series of chants and prayers, Yvonne can use her magic to strengthen her defences and armour during a fight. She can also do this for her allies, although it drains her energy and is a more difficult spell that she has yet to master. To an extent, Yvonne can also heal the wounds of others. However, this takes immense concentration and is especially draining (she cannot do it during a fight). She also cannot heal any of her own wounds in this way.

Limitations:
  • [Unwieldy]: With bulky armour and weapons, Yvonne's movements are often restricted. She is slow during a fight and running for an extended period of time is effectively impossible.
  • [Bound by Oath]: The Divine watch their chosen closely, and any Paladin who breaks their oaths of courage, honesty and chivalry stand to lose their abilities and suffer punishment should they fail to repent.
  • [Faithful Loyalty]: Yvonne is a devout of the Church, but has largely been shielded to some of its more questionable activities. Some may say that Paladins are naive optimists, and Yvonne is no different. They live in a world of rights and wrongs, and it may be difficult for Yvonne to accept that a certain grey region of morality may sometimes exist.

Equipment:
  • [Two-headed Battleaxe] Gifted to her by her mentor, it has been blessed by the Clerics of the Divine. Although usually wielded in one hand by Yvonne, its staff can be extended if needed, allowing her to fight as if it were a two-handed weapon. Doing this allows Yvonne to leverage more force behind her strikes.
  • [Shield] A large, heavy shield that offers ample protection to its user. Having come with her axe, Yvonne's shield was also blessed by the Clerics in the Theocracy. It has seen her through thick-and-thin and has stood firm by her side since she was first inducted into the Order.
  • [Plate Armour] Purchased by Yvonne's parents upon her departure, it is adorned with the symbols of the Church and offers ample protection. This particular set of armour was expertly crafted and fitted for Yvonne and is one of her few connections back to her family.
  • [Priest's kit]
  • [Noble steed] (ok, not too sure about this one - thoughts?)

Optional
Likes: Adventure, courage, the Church of the Divine, charity, compassion
Dislikes: Heretics, selfishness, oppression, cruelty
Greatest Fear: Failing to uphold her oaths

Ah okay cool - thank you.

I’d assume that he would know this information (but didn’t want to be presumptuous).

Also I wanted to double check as Goblins in different settings have different strengths and weaknesses. What I didn’t want to do was to ‘import’ a weakness from another setting only to learn that it doesn’t apply in your world when Telsor was half way through trying to exploit it lol.

Name: Arialista Sejangec Cyneberg
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance (pics if possible): https://i.imgur.com/tncy0d7.png
Statistics:
Strength: 2
Agility: 2
Endurance: 1
Magical Prowess: 3
Bio: Arialista was born and raised by a large family in the Eastern Archipelagos. She was often raised by her mother as her father was away on several contracts. While she was in her care, Arialista was personally taught and trained to help with what their family does. In earnest, she did so and kept doing it until she was 15 years old. Her uncle made an agreement with her mother that he would train her how to fight as life in the Archipelagos often had to deal with ambitious warring princes and warlords. She left her home islands on her 16th birthday and studied various forms of combat with her uncle. At the same time, she met her father and emotionally united with him. With them, she was able to have her first taste of war.

She served well, earning a few scars on her body here and there. On top of that, she received recognition from her fathers company of mercenaries, most especially the highest award they could possibly give her: The Grand Sun. But as she spent more and more time with them in the company, she chose to study as well. Learning from her uncles wife, who was a war mage helping them out. After so much study, she was able to earn her place on her 24th birthday. Her boon, as she earned it, was her ability to summon a weapon of her choosing and specialty (swords, spears, staves, shields only). Two years later, she was granted leave and joined the Paean Legion.
Heroic Boon: Weapon Summoning
Abilities:
  • Weapon Summoning: The ability to summon any weapon of any choosing at will. The weapons that she could summon are only swords, spears, staves and shields. She can summon only one weapon at a time or can only summon a shield and another weapon. Her weapons will disappear and she will have to summon them again if she lets go of them. They must never leave her hands if she wishes to use them. Using her summoned weapons for a long time can tire her and more tired she is, the weaker her weapon becomes until it can easily be shattered and she will be forced to summon another weapon.
  • Magical Consumption: Due to her summoning, she needs more magic than most mages. She is forced to consume potions frequently and at higher doses. She is also forced to rest after using her weapons for long periods of time or for summoning them frequently. Although she may use potions, she could use her ability to steal mana
(Note, you do not have a maximum or minimum of 2 abilities. Include both your character’s mundane abilities and any magic they have. If you don’t need all those, delete them. If you need more, copy and paste.)

Limitations (Reasons why your char can’t singlehandedly conquer a kingdom):
  • Oath to the Company and Legion: Arialista is loyal without a doubt to her Legion. Although she swore an oath to her uncles Company too, she has been released from that oath and follows her own to the Legion. She is very much unlikely to turn against them.
  • Magical Limits: Due to her abilities, she is limited to summoning her weapons and that alone. While she could do basic magic spells, she is most focused on summoning her weapons and using them but can be easily tired or easily subdued with intelligent combat or so. Arialista is also vulnerable to various fatal or near fatal consequences as she requires magic. Without magic, she cannot summon her weapons and she cannot also sustain herself that much.
  • War Fatigue: Although a veteran, she has grown tired of war and has no wish to conquer or put down a kingdom. Even if she is faced with something smaller than a kingdom, she is unwilling to put her sword to the test and would instead defend them or leave them alone.
(Note, you do not have a maximum or minimum of 2 limitations. If you don’t need all those, delete them. If you need more, copy and paste.)

Equipment:
  • Dou - Japanese style breastplate
  • armored sleeves
  • Potion belt - A belt of small mana potions that she wears around her waist
  • shin guards
  • (Note, you do not have a maximum or minimum of 2 equipment. If you don’t need all those, delete them. If you need more, copy and paste. If it is a special piece of equipment please include a description. Also keep in mind your character’s background and what sort of wealth they would have as this greatly influences your starting equipment)

Optional
Likes: Very well made mana potions, mana itself, protecting others, her uncle, other mercenaries (who are honorable), war magic, Tempura and wide open plains
Dislikes: People who are simply scum or dishonorable, losing a summoned weapon, being starved of mana, losing mana potions, being ordered to do questionable tasks against civilians or prisoners
Greatest Fear: To lose all her magic and be left defenseless in a battle.
^_^

Name: Andorran Krel
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance: Tall, Muscular, Bald, Golden Eyes.
Image

Statistics:
Strength: 3
Agility: 4
Endurance: 4
Magical Prowess: 1
Bio: Andorran Krel was given to the Inquisition at the age of 10. She was extremely devout and trained as hard as she could. Her trainers, however, said she was a terrible swordsman, and said she should try a different weapon. So she tried using a spear, and was extremely good at it. Her trainers said "She may be a terrible swordsman, but with a spear, you want her on your side." Her first mission was to escort a caravan to the Free City of Faith. On the way, they encountered a goblin war-band. Andorran led the guards into battle and, being reckless, lost a leg in the battle. When she returned to the Free City of Faith, her leg was replaced with a metal one. After that, she trained harder than ever before, and after 20 years, she was deemed Inquisitor Krel. She left the Free City of Faith to stop heretics who had been ravaging a nearby settlement. When she arrived, she was told the heretics' camp was only 2 miles away. She found them and led the town guard into battle. After an hour of fighting, the remaining heretics surrendered, but at the cost of most of the town guard. After another year of wandering, she came upon a Group of Legionaries fighting a group of heretics. She aided them, and impressed by their martial ability, asked if she could join. The Legionnaire said he would let her join.
Heroic Boon: Holy Fury: She goes into a divine rage if she is heavily injured.
Abilities:
  • [Charge]: Krel can charge her enemy's lines with her spear.

Limitations:
  • Her metal leg slows her down, making it so if she rushes too much, it will fall off.

Equipment:
  • [Steel Spear]
  • [Inquisitor Uniform]

Optional
Likes: Spears, Priests, and Loyalty
Dislikes: Heretics and Cowards
Greatest Fear: Losing her other leg

Well I have a few issues with the bio. It's a bit vague in places such as its not stated what she helps her family "do". Second, there's no way she could get a Boon before joining the Legion as its something exclusive to their members. For her abilities well, the entire thing for Weapon Summoning should go in the boon section to describe it as boons are things independent of abilities. Magical Consumption isn't really an ability either as its more of a limitation by the description. I'd recommend making Weapon Summoning as type of magic she learned and make something else for a boon. Also, you might have taken the "why can't they conquer a kingdom" too literally in that last limitation.

Toaslandia wrote:Name: Andorran Krel

The app is a bit on the light side but overall decent. Well, for this issues I have with the app I don't see how her boon is well a boon. It seems more of a description of what she is rather than a power she gained from the Singing Stone. Also, if you're intending to start her in the IC as not a Legion member then she wouldn't have a boon yet.

Eh, still, you'd think a knight would be tougher. -shrugs-

I should've put a point in Agility, I would love to see the elves's reaction to see an old human run as fast as them

Magical Prowess:1
Bio:
Lilion was born on the streets of Ashar to her father a former solider in the Asharian military with her mother having died during Lilion birth leaving her and her father by themselves homeless. So Lilion was raised solely by her father who did his best doing whatever work he could find to provide for them. He also tried to educate her as best he could and taught her how to survive on the streets. But most importantly he taught her to fight with both her fists and a sword. These skills would prove valuable as the two worked odd jobs simply trying to survive.

But when Lilion was 15 her father died leaver her alone in the world. She was of course incredibly sad due to her close relationship with her father but she did not have much time to grieve. She was focused on trying to survive with very little money and food on the dangerous streets with her only possession being her clothes, some leather armor, and a short sword. So how did a 15 year old girl survive on the streets by herself? Well she would work whatever job she could find, steal loafs of bread, beat the shit out of anyone who attacked her the usual for someone on the streets. Her skills learned from her father served her well and she got by.

After 6 years of this she decided due to an incident which may or may not have involved a minor nobleman trying some shady stuff with her and getting knocked out that it was time to leave. She gathered up supplies and began the long march to the Republic of Velathri with plans to join the Paean Legion. She had always been interested in joining the group but had always figured she did not have a chance in joining the group. But now seeing that she a had a minor nobleman angry at her she figured it would not hurt to try.

Over the next two years she would make the long difficult journey to the Republic of Velathri trying to survive on what food she could find and protecting herself from anything that attacked her. This journey would harden her further and she would reach the Republic of Velathri at the age of 23. She would using her skills as a fighter join the legion as a red cloak ready to begin a new chapter in her life.

Heroic Boon: Berserk Energy: When activated Lilion endurance agility and strength all increase drastically along with allowing her to not feel pain and fight far beyond her limits for a time.
Abilities:
  • [Trained and Experienced Fighter]: Lilion is trained in martial arts and has years of experience from the streets making her a damm good fighter able to kill a man with her hands.
  • [Swordswomen]:She has been trained in sword combat and has experience using the weapon making her a formidable duelist
  • [Survivalist]:Growing up in and going through incredibly harsh and dangerous situations Lilion has become quite good at surviving difficult and dangerous situations like being lost in the wilderness.

Limitations:
  • She is still only human and knifes, swords, bows, fist etc will all effect her as they do normal humans.
  • While a good fighter she is not the best and a group of trained fighter or someone who is just more experienced and better trained can take her down.
  • Her heroic boon only lasts for around 12 minutes and after that all of the damage she took will hit her and the sudden massive pain may incapacitate and exhaust her depending on how much damage she took.

Equipment:
  • [Plain Clothes and leather armor] Some basic clothes with some leather armor underneath that provide small amounts of protection while leaving her able to move quickly and flexible.
  • [A Short Sword]
  • [A Backpack] Used to carry supplies like food and water on adventures.

Optional
Likes: Competition, Making money, Food, Camping, and Nature.
Dislikes:Thugs, Wasting money, Corrupt people in power, and Spoiled Brats.
Greatest Fear:Becoming ungrateful for what she has and what others have done for her.

Finally finished this app.
I do be tired

Changed my app for the Inquisitor. She's now in the Legion and has a boon (if she's accepted).
