After finding the sharpening wheel in the blacksmiths workshop, Strauch got permission from the blacksmith to use the wheel to sharpen his blades. Falchion went first. Short and wide with a curved tip, the WItch Hunter got to work smoothing out the edges of his blade. While the rapier is for the thrusting and piercing with a bit of slicing, the Falchion was picked for its cutting power against bones and flesh.
After making his secondary weapon as sharp as possible, Strauch then pulled out his battleaxe. While the axe may be less graceful than his rapier, Wilhard finds satisfaction of cleaving into one heretic after another, as he watches their armor bend and their limbs flying about. It was a one-handed weapon with a balanced axe head to keep up with the duel-wielding.
Finally, Strauch moved on to his signature weapon: the rapier. His skillset combined with this long bladed weapon made him a deadly force of agile defense and deadly offense. The long reach of the weapon greatly helps to engage the enemy at the distance when Strauch relies on his speed rather than the armor that he wears.
After paying the blacksmith a few coins in thanks, Wilhard moved on from the smithy to purchase a stamina and healing potion from the nearby merchant stand. He may not need these for this quest but it's better to purchase these now instead of later now that time is lax for him.
