I was born Muslim, drifted away, drifting towards the Ahmadiyya sect, but rn enamored by Catholicism, which has elements found in the Ahmadiyya sect too (Messiah), been dating a bi girl for 6 years and both Islam and Christianity scare her, some intimate stuff I don't want to discuss in this thread... you get the idea.

Is there any branch of Christianity which offers that same relationship with God? Things like dhikr, the hajj, those sorts of things? I feel as though Eastern Orthodoxy is closest to what I want, but Catholicism looks good too. Especially as I do latin.

DEAN: Time have changed!
MR CARRIGAN: Tell me about it. All of a sudden, this Jesus character is the hot new thing in town. All of a sudden, our – our altars are being burned down, and we’re being hunted down like common monsters.”

Lutheran and Anglican churches often are more supportive of gender equality and LGBT rights compared to Roman Catholicism, and we also have many similar beliefs and liturgical practices. Also, may I ask what country you live in?
