It's 2030, NATO has collapsed, The PRC has Collapsed, and the World is now seeing that the middle east's oil supply isn't infinite, As Saudi Arabia collapses due to it's one major industry starting to run thin, the major superpowers of the world rush to seize what little oil they can, trying to reserve the oil in their territory as much as they can.

History
At the beginning of the Decade, it was becoming clear that Earth's nations couldn't rely on Oil anymore, major innovators of the early 21st Century attempted to replace Oil-powered vehicles with Electric vehicles, though with major companies selling them for such a high price, most of the public couldn't afford them, so they quickly died down. It then came as a major headline, that the United States has run out of Oil within it's borders, then it started a domino effect, then it was Saudi Arabia, then it Was Canada, and then Greenland, and finally when it hit the PRC, it was the hardest blow to the Chinese economy. Around March, the PRC fell, leaving a gargantuan hole in the World Economy, to attempt to secure a major Economic Zone in China, Russia occupied Northeastern Manchuria, Mongolia taking the Rest of Manchuria, Ughyurstan gaining independence, and Tibet gaining independence. In Europe, the Berlin Convention was taking place between Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, and Switzerland. The Subject of this convention was to form a unified Germanic nation, this Convention would go successfully, with the Countries unifying, to form the Germanic Federal Republic, this Federal Republic would become one of the Richest nations in the world, and this country would start to fill the Economic Hole. The Oil Crisis was edging forward, the UK was starting to crumble, but on March 19, 2030, Scotland left the United Kingdom, and Northern Ireland joined Ireland, leaving England Alone, though this wouldn't affect the Economy, this would affect the world politically, with England losing political power in the UN. March 21, 2030, Quebec Secedes from Canada, taking Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. It is now March 25, the war with ISIS is finally coming to a close, but it seems that tensions between the Middle Eastern Coalition (Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, and Iraq) and the Atlantic-Pacific Pact (US, Canada, Russia, and Republic of China) could disrupt the peace in the Middle East, and could start a third global-scale war.

Shortly after the Collapse of the PRC, the United Nation set up Joint-Occupation zones in China, Mongolia gaining access to Port Arthur, the Union State gaining Northeastern Manchuria, Tibet and East Turkestan gaining independence, and the Republic of China taking power in the Remaining territory, though this wouldn't end out well anyways, the collapse left a huge hole in the Global Stocks, with the newly formed Republic of China to fill, but as the years progressed, more and more countries who relied on China for economic assistance shortly collapsed, like North Korea and Vietnam, North Korea was then integrated by South Korea, forming the Republic of Korea, and the Democratic Party of Vietnam assumes control, forming a Democratic Vietnam, using the old, South Vietnam flag. Another year progresses, and Scotland and Quebec have gained independence, and are officially recognized by the Union State.

Aftereffects of this war include but are not limited to: speeding up the already steady decline in the United Nations' reputation as a diplomatic entity, more oil usage due to the war only increasing the rate and the severity in which the OPEC oil shortages occurred, and 2027 and subsequent years having drastically cooler temperatures due to this somewhat minor nuclear exchange, being enough to curve and even reverse some of the effects of climate change; however, the negative impact this had on the environment of Southeast Asia far outweighed this. Pakistan later joined with this union in 2029.

History: The oil crisis hit an already struggling Britain hard in 2020, having already left the EU the UK economy was still fragile it barely stood up to the collapse in oil production, and the collapse of China sent the already struggling British economy into a nosedive. Radical action was needed, the unemployment rate skyrocketed, riots on a scale not seen since the 1970s were seen all across the country. Radical political groups started gaining ground. The Government fell in 22 after a near unanimous vote of no confidence in the Government. The 2022 election proved to be one of if not the most polarising in British political history. It was marked by wide-scale political violence with the Police barely keeping order, riots on large scales than the 2011 riots took place throughout the major cities of the country. Just before the election the major parties imploded, Jeremy Corbyn was assassinated by a far-right extremist and his death led to the already fragile Labour party splintering into hard left and Blairite wings. The Tories chugged on for a few months longer but they too imploded after a string of defections by dozens of backbenchers to more far-right parties. The election proved to be massively inconclusive there was a hung parliament with the rump conservative party barely managing to scrape 100 seats.
The SNP thanks to first past the post scored a majority in Scotland and unilaterally declared independence, much to the dismay of the counties on the English border who had voted Tory. The British Government refused to recognize the Scotish declaration and sent troops to secure the area around HMNB Clyde as well as seizing oil rigs in the North Sea. The British government was paralyzed barely able to function, riots and political unrest occurred almost nightly on the streets of British cities, far right and far left groups targeted those they blamed for the disaster minorities, Muslims, the rich, corporations. The Scottish economy was in no better shape for having left the UK with North Sea oil drying up and Scotland now independent the SNP imploded into sectarianism much as the nation that they had just left had. 2028 was the year this all changed, King Charles III was assassinated by far left groups, and this led to the assassination and bombing of the workers Labour party HQ. The Assassination of the King set off a spate of tit for tat killings and attacks by far left and far-right groups.

The post-crisis Irish government suffering its own woe sent troops into Ulster to woo voters as well as to 'stabilize' Ulster, which was descending into another period of Sectarian violence with the mainland government powerless to intervene. The Republic had little better luck than the British however with keeping Northern Ireland stable sectarian tensions were at an all-time high with groups such as the NUVF becoming much larger due to the Irish occupation of Ulster. The NUVF and others like them were bolstered massively by funding and volunteers from the mainland. The British government protested but was too fractured to do anything about it.

However during the 2028 general election when it looked like possibly the far Left People's Labour party or the Far Right Britain First party looked to win, something happened. British troops began appearing at key places throughout the country from White Hall and Buckingham Palace, to key railway and motorway junctions. The head of the British Army Mark Carelton-Smith appeared on national television from the occupied BBC headquarters. He stated that essentially powerless parliament was for the time being in custody and that the UK was now under martial law. Although it has never been proven there is some evidence that the Monarch supported this coup. The new military government of the UK stated that until such a time as the country was stable elections would be postponed under the defense of the realm act. The new British government is nowhere near a secure position, however, both far left and far right groups are still operational throughout the country, and a coming clash with Scotland and Ireland looms.
