You do not have 500 puppets in CCD set up for invasion. Nobody does. That claim’s just plain wrong.

Query: wouldn't this fall under rule 2D - not addressing the original resolution in the repeal?

It does address the resolution. It explains why it won’t do anything.

All it explains is your opinion on the metagaming surrounding the resolution. I don't think it addresses the original resolution.

EDIT: Ya, after double checking both the Liberation's language and this repeal's language, you don't actually address it. The Liberation never mentions raiding COCD, or the mechanics behind what would make it possible.

Saying it's an accolade doesn't mean you and your regionmates actually believe it is one. And there's proof you guys don't. :)

Jocospor's actual position on the Liberation:
Jocospor wrote:For the record, we're against this too.

And his Chancellor's position on the Liberation:
https://www.nationstates.net/page=rmb/postid=32559714
This isn't a punishable offence. Unless specifically instructed otherwise, nations are strongly encouraged to follow the vote of our WA Delegate, but are allowed a conscience vote if they feel strongly about the resolution.

This does not apply to the current SC resolution, "Liberate Confederation of Corrupt Dictators" - all nations are required to vote AGAINST this terrible piece of legislation.

Any nation found to have voted for this liberation should be reported to the Chancellor's Office via telegram.

They're only claiming they love the passed liberation now because it was argued that them acting this way would get it repealed.

Nobody fall for it, please.

That's cute, it's almost like you don't realise that perhaps, just perhaps, we were acting as though we were against the original liberation proposal because it never would have passed if we were to support it?

I think Jocospor's statement really sums it up - you've been outplayed. I guess all that's left now is to see how this repeal turns out.

I definitely realize "It won't pass if we support it!" is the logic you guys are using here. Not towards the original liberation. Here, in this thread.

CCD's mindset: Tfw our region is so insignificant that we'll do anything to get some sort of recognition because we obviously deserve it.

If you're being honest about wanting this, your region is symbolically that kid in high school who acts out because at least then you'll get some validation through people hating you.

I disagree, and have marked this legal. The first two clauses acknowledge the purpose of the liberation as stated throughout the resolution, and the first "Pointing out" subclause points out that the "Aware" clause in the resolution is pointless.

I promise you, I will do everything in my power to have that Liberation removed from your region. Your region is not worthy of that so-called "liberation". That "liberation" was foolishly given to your region as a badge of war. Liberations should not be badges of war but they should be badges of peace.

I stand proudly in favor of this repeal as your region is not under attack nor is it occupied. This is not even a liberation. This is a fake liberation. It's a preemptive neoliberation. Hopefully some day this chamber will go back to using the Liberation in the traditional way. We're not using it properly and we're handing them out like candy to regions like yours who don't even deserve them!

Opposed

Btw. a great factual error is to claim that the 84 updater force was the largest. The largest operation was the update against FEMDOM EMPIRE with a ~100WA nazi entrenchment, where a 90 people updater force showed up, which wasn't CAIN alone. 50 Updaters of this force alone belonged to the NPO and I should know because I raised the NPO army that was present.
