Shella, Main Town Square
As many foreigners had it explained to them, "it was an Ezharan thing."

It was an Ezharan sort of thing to value children, & with it came a surprising amount of freedom & respect towards them that meant it was not uncommon to find them wandering the streets of Ezhara or even foreign streets, mostly unaccompanied by an adult — usually, their parent could be found somewhere nearby, shopping or eating or whatever it was & keeping only mild awareness of their child. In fact, it was not uncommon for especially famous child actors or singers to go perform in foreign locations only loosely accompanied by a Mascot (an Ezharan city's leader) rather than their parents, as had happened in celebration of a queen's birthday.
It was also an Ezharan sort of thing to haul around weaponry & to be overall flamboyant in one's attire, but that was beside the point.

Elliot Verian was, naturally, very much influenced by these "Ezharan things," as one could clearly see by the strange dark red stick protruding from his backpack all the way up to his head of curly black hair. While accompanied by his nineteen year old sister, it was clear that she was not his mother, who was presumably elsewhere & had left the kids to their own devices in this foreign location. Perfectly natural to them, but then again, his sister was just barely an adult. Considering that this was intended to be a family vacation, though, it was certainly odd that they weren't all together.

"See anything interesting, Elliot?" asked Irene to her brother, looking around the town square.
"Mmm... no, not yet," he replied, shaking his head, "We really should have found a guide, huh?" The two of them kept wandering, looking for some sort of interesting store that they could go to... or perhaps someone else would approach them.

As it turns out, another pair of Ezharans was in the area — the Reiss sisters, who were both singers of some renown that were known for their adventurous lyrics heavily inspired by folklore & filled with a sort of childlike, innocent wonder that charmed anyone with the memory of a journey from their own childhood or from history. While their fans were fanatical in their love for them, they were far from the top of the list of Ezharan celebrities, in part from their apathy towards advertising themselves & advertising their concerts, the latter of which also being done at smaller venues rather than the grand concert halls that dotted Ezhara's cities.

On the stage, their color theme typically consisted of a yellow one for Carrie & a white one for Victoria, whereas clothing for both were bodices & short, poofy skirts that went down a mere few inches accompanied by shorts, but it was still rarely their bodies that drew in fans; while somewhat alluring in their own rights, it simply paled in comparison to their musical genius. Here, in this festival, though, they wore more conservative clothing — skirts that, while still a bit poofy, went down to below their knees, & simple t-shirts, Carrie's having an x-shape of two blades dripping in honey (probably some odd Ezharan symbolism) & Victoria's being a cartoonish rabbit's face.

Speaking of cartoonish, the two sisters were currently in a gift shop of sorts purchasing some souvenirs for home, when a lone, bizarre plush caught Victoria's eye. "Huh? What's this supposed to be?" she said, grabbing the object from its empty shelf & turning it around, "That's... weird. There's no scanning thing. Oh, wait, but there's a name!" Her eyes narrowed as she attempted to make it out. "Dís, from La Friglas?"
"Why would someone leave a toy like that?" Carrie questioned, "Never heard of anywhere named La Friglas before."
"Hmm, whatever, maybe it would be best to leave it, in case whoever had it came back," Victoria replied, continuing to peruse the store.

The Selkie wrote:The receptionist looked at the young, rather tired-looking woman and was sad, that he had to shake his head.
"Sorry, Miss Kaykali.", he said and had to frown, "We're completely booked out. No room available for anyone." He did not, however, want to leave her hanging and so he added: "If you want, I can call around a bit for you and see, if there is any room available anywhere, but please don't get your hopes up. With the festival today, you should have booked before!" He motioned for one of the couches in the lobby. "Have a seat, if you want."
The lobby was comfortable, mostly made so by the couch and its opposite number on the other side of the room, both along the side-walls. Above each of them, a painting hung.
One depicted a ship in calm sea, a fishing ship with sails and a wooden hull, dragging a trawling net behind it. It was not a particularly large vessel, but it sat there calmly, the crew working in overdrive. It was basically an oversized Seol, a larger sloop with one jib and one jib-headed mainsail, small boats, which one could still sea in use to this day with pleasure and fishing fleets.
The other showed a scene in the restaurant, the barkeeper cleaning glasses, a few waitresses about waiting a few tables and a sole young man standing on small stage, singing, by his expression singing about love and pain and all belonging to it.
It was not a bad place to wait.

"You sure?" Aida said, hoping that the receptionist was wrong and she wouldn't have to move to another inn. She just couldn't be bothered to do it now. She treated herself to the nearest seat, gazing at the paintings hanging above her. At this point her concern was largely financial: would she be able to pay if she were moved to another inn? Then she remembered that she actually had just a bit more money than she remembered. Well that's a relief.

So she sat there, waiting to know where she would be staying.

"Thank you!", she said and grinned, "This is my hometown, after all. And don't worry about me making a detour, I'm running an errant anyway." As they came closer, the fiddle became louder and louder, but not unbearably so. "I love it here, it's a wonderful place."

"We can tell how beautiful and wonderful it really is here." Kirie agreed

"Yeah it's very nice here. Something like where we're from but really special."

"We're enjoying ourselves. It was a long trip to get here but worth it in the end."

"See that's the spirit, Kirie."

"You're right, Sora." She took his hand firmly with her own. From now on she had to not worry much about what was going on home and try to enjoy the lovely gift her husband got her.

"My wife is just turning 18 ya know" Sora added "I thought this would be a really great treat for her. Plus I just was rotated into reserve duty back home so now I have more time with her."

"That's my Sora for you, he really knows how to spoil me rotten!" She joked

Amy grinned. "I have someone spoiling me as well.", she told them, smiling at the memory of a chap she knew from her hobby as an air racer, "His name is Dakov, a fellow air racer."
She let a beat pass.
"I must admit, though, that I would have guessed you younger, Kirie, was it?", she bowed her head lightly, "I'm Amy. Pleasure to meet you both!"
The music drew nearer and nearer.

The adorable waitress nodded.
"Tea, waffles and newspaper.", she said and jotted it all down, nodding, before she grinned - still nervous, but not as much anymore. Combined with the fact, that she was around twelve, it made her look even cuter. "I'll be back in a minute, Miss."
And indeed, it took actually less then a minute for her to return.
Carrying a tablet, the little waitress placed the tablet onto the table first, putting a cup of piping hot tea in front of Lise and a small can a slight bit away. "This is a blend of rosehip, pieces of apple, rose petals and marigold.", she explained, "Ideal to wake up, grown in the house's own gardens." Then came the waffles, roughly in heart shape, with a side. "Waffles with jams of raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. We call them vaiféal, by the way." After she put the utensils next to the plate, she placed the last piece on the table as well. "The Utica Times, a newspaper from Kyrenaia. This morning's edition as well." She placed the tables in front of her body and bowed her head. "The House wishes good appetite, Miss. If you need anything...?"

"Sure I'd like to see!" she grinned pushing her messy hair from her eyes.

The woman grinned in reply.
"Then here we go!", she said and took her under her arms, sitting Billie on her shoulders, adjusting her balance for a moment, then standing there with a wide grin, watching the dancing couples as well. There was a bit of concern in her voice at that.

Marie's eyes widened upon seeing Yven. '...he's the handsomest man I'e seen...'
Irene continued on. "As you can tell, I'm Irene, he's Karl and she's-Marie? Hello?"
Marie snapped out of her trance and shook her head. "I-my Marie is name-I mean what?"

Soon a dark-haired girl entered after the three. She immediately ran up to them. "Hey guys!", she said. "It's so good to see you again!"

That was Ana Soares. She was a somewhat quiet and reserved girl, and from her innocent appearance you could not guess her background. Ana was born and raised in the Ecclesiastical State of Portugal, a theocratic dictatorship run by a mad fascist dictator. Whether by a miracle or sheer luck, she met and befriended the President of San Prospero while on a travel exchange, and obtained San Prosperan citizenship. While Ana was surprised by all the freedom at first, she quickly adjusted to life as a normal teenager. That was not the last time she would come face-to-face with her oppressors though – only recently, two agents from the Portuguese secret police, posing as modeling agency recruiters, had tried to abduct Ana and take her back to the Ecclesiastical State. Their plan was foiled by the San Prosperan authorities, and relations between the two countries went down the drain. Not surprisingly, Ana was quite shaken by the experience.

Today, Ana was on the island of Shella in the Free Lands of the Selkie. She was there to meet some of her other friends she made on that travel exchange, like the trio from Prussia-Poland standing in front of her. Ana hoped that having fun with her friends would help her forget the horrible attempt on her life.

"Pleasure ta meet ya, Marie!", Yven said with a wide grin, bowing his head lightly to both her and then to the others. "As said, I'm Yven, a friend and part-time colleague of Cel's. Also, this house belongs tae my family." He petted the side of the building. "Our vacation home, actually. Besides me, there's currently Chris present, Cel, my sis Cao, and three other chaps... a few of Cel's foxes, too."
That was the time, when Ana arrived, running up to the trio and greeting them with excitement.
"And her.", Yven finished with a grin, motioning for them to follow him. "So, come in people, the party is in the garden!"

Lillorainen wrote:Filleadh House, Garden.
The foxes, whom Chris meanwhile believed to know better than his own family, were fed, the first guests were arriving. Yven went around the house (wouldn't going through it have been easier? Well, each to their own ...) to welcome Irene, Karl, and Marie.
Chris knew that Cel was still struggling with her memories, but she was surely not alone with this problem - especially those who had obviously been at some yet worse places, as he had figured from the links to according posts on Piffle his cousin Robert had sent him via messenger, with the note that everything was possible, even if one thought that it couldn't get worse.
Now, he grinned. "I thought the rule goes like, no alcohol before the kiddos are in bed!" This referred to the beach party rule in Dumhach, established by Cel's boss (not Mr. Folaíochta, but one of the 416 Finnegans around).
Of course, he know the rule for this - that 'Lillos having beer for breakfast' thing was rather a rumor. Mostly, at least.

Uachtair Inn.
Fred and Hilda patiently waited for the receptionist to finish his phone call. In the meantime, they looked around in the lobby, not exactly a hall, regarding size, but feeling homey.
"It even looks quite nice in here, what do you say?" - Hilda whispered in Danish.
Fred nodded. "Quite cannot complain, really."
The receptionist got finished with his call, turned to them, apologized for the delay and asked what he could do for them.
They went on to the reception.
"Good morning, sir" - Fred said, in English again, of course, "No problem. We would need a room for two, for the time of the festivities. Leverdal is the name - Frederik and Hilda." He repeated their last name, a difficult one for someone who did not speak Danish, slowly, so he would understand.
... for the time of the festival - or even way longer - Hilda added in minds, but just smiled and nodded.

Filleadh House, Garden.
"That's for when there're kiddos present, Chris.", I said and looked down, to where a little fox was sitting in my arms. "Except for that little lad, we're in a rather kid-free zone."
I grinned, mischief and allure dancing in my eyes.
"Unless, of course, you want to work on sending me home with a little passenger tonight...?", I teased, before whispering into his ear, "We'd just have to be a bit quieter then in Dumhach. We're having house guests tonight, after all."

Uachtair Inn.
The receptionist nodded at the name, then began to look through his papers, finding something.
"Hilda Leverdal... as in the horsewoman from Lillorainen?", he asked with a smile, nodding at his book. "If so, I have two single-rooms reserved and paid for in that name by the Marcach Guild of Cuan. Nice people, that were." He let a beat pass. "They also invited you to the Cups fought for today, premium seats. Details in their letter on the desk in your room."
He let a beat pass.
"So... you're her?", the receptionist asked, turning his book around and offering both of them a pen to sign where their names were written.

Main Town Square.
With the music going on on stage, the check of the sound systems by a fiddler, and a few people dancing already, there was not much attention spent on the extravagantly dressed youths with the spear sticking out of the backpack.
Maybe a peddler or store would catch their eyes?
There was a variety of the latter, some selling tourist stuff like maps, hiking rations, tents and so on, but also souvenirs, from post cards and figures to wall decoration swords and even a ram's horn. There was also a store selling more meaningful souvenirs, from tea blends and herbal medicines to books, the Dramhaíl House Souvenir Shop.
A clothes store sold Geansais to measure and from the rack, different furs on display and for selection, but also fish leather.
And the peddlers, travelling merchantmen, sold everything from little toys of hand-carved wood to herbal remidies for some common ailments like headaches and migrane.
A little restaurant was in one of the upper storeys of one of the buildings, with an exclusive charme and a good look over the bay, not to mention the smell of delicious breakfast.
The world was open to the two of them.

Dramhaíl House Souvenir Shop.
The two sisters were mostly unbothered by the employees of the little tourist store, mainly because the four people preparing themselves for the assault by tourists and mostly occupied with that.
That meant refilling the shelves really quickly, a short sweep with the broom and opening rolls of change into the register, so that they didn't need to later. Especially the bottles of water would be in high demand, their boss estimated, but that was another thing.
With a trolley with boxes filled with a variety of souvenirs, some of them indeed plushies produced by Áilleagán Limited, the youngest of the employees came to around where the Reiss-Sisters were standing and examining everything. He was a boy maturing into a young man, maybe fifteen at most, wearing the apron over a white shirt and a pair of jeans. He had a mop of red-brown hair crowning a freckled face with a pair of blue eyes.
He smiled at both of the sisters as he arrived.
"Good morning.", he said and nodded, "Searching for a plushie for someone special? We just got in a few new lads and lassies." He turned to the trolley and opened one of the boxes, pulling out three different plushies of animals endemic to the Free Lands, one a Star Lynx, one a Grey Wolf and one a Sea Weasel. "We have a lot of different ones."

Chris knew this sort of jokes already. He grinned.
"Mah, no, we have enough big kiddos here, after all" - he said. "We lads stop growing up at age five, right? So, I assume there's currently no need to add another chap into this. Or another Little Enya who's already more mature than half of us in the moment she learns to walk, in case you'd prefer that."
They had already had this sort of conversation, multiple times and multiple sorts of third opinions involved. But of course, that issue was clearly one that could wait, given their age.
But luckily, this could easily be prevented.

It took a second for Fred and Hilda to swallow that surprising message down. They looked at each other like broken cars.
Hilda was quite aware that she had gained some fame within the horseriders' scene, especially since her speed race victory in her age class back then at the tournaments in Lechelen in 2015. She nodded. "Yes, that's me" - she said to the receptionist. "Hilda Leverdal from Lysköping in Lillorainen, the one and only. I'm honestly pleased by this invitation, and I'll gladly accept it."
Fred nodded, with quite some pride.

"How old is that girl??? It looks like someone very young for work here" Lisolette thought to herself, she has an point because the waitress looked like someone so young to work here.

Just one minute took for her order to be served, tea made with natural ingredients from the house and one that looked very good for her. Waffles with an mix of raspberries, strawberries and blueberries, more great for breakfast.

"What an interesting name, vaiféal. I will try to remember it" Lisolette says with an happy grin in her face as the last item appeared, her newspaper and one from Kyrenaia which the waitress told that was the Utica times.

Irene smiled upon seeing Ana. "Oh, hey Ana! Wie geht's?"
At Yven's request, Irene and co followed him into the garden. Karl leaned on his crutch and ended up entering first.
"Good day, Chris and Cel, long time no see. When's the wedding?"

San Prospero wrote:"Vi-guets"?, repeated Ana. "Sorry, I don't understand what that means."

Ana was fluent in 5 languages – Portuguese, Latin, English, French and Italian. But German was completely Greek to her. Then she noticed Karl in crutches. "Meu Deus! What happened, Karl?"

Yven came back with Karl, Irene, Marie - and Ana. She had arrived safely in San Prospero, without meeting more Portuguese spies disguised as your average Brazilian football lad.
Chris tried to sound innocent. "Hey, guys, indeed some time ago! Uh, what wedding? I haven't planned any so far."
He looked at their first guests - and then noticed that Karl was in crutches, in the same moment as Ana, who already asked what had happened to him. Probably an 'injury in combat' - at least that was what Lillos usually replied when asked for that. Alternatively also, 'You should see the other guy!'
"Wie geht's means like, how are you doing?" - he translated for Ana.

My reply to Chris' comments about lads and growing up were relieved of their duty when the first four came into the garden, Karl telling, where he got his leg.
"That's horrible.", I said with a deep frown, nodding to Yven, who was already on his way. "But still, Karl, Irene, Marie, Ana... it's wonderful to see you all again."
I moved forward, carefully setting the Little Black Fox I had in my arms on the ground, the little lad grinning and shooting of to the Gods knew where, Chris hopefully by my side.
"It's been quite a while.", I told Marie with a grin as I gave her a quick hug, Irene and Karl got handshakes, just in time for Yven to return with two garden chairs, one for one of the ladies and one for Karl. He said something about a second wave coming in a moment. Ana got a quick hug as well. I liked that girl. "So, how has life been treating you four ever since Purgatio?" I nodded to Karl's leg. "Except for... well."
Yven returned with another pair of chairs, only to depart for a third wave.
"Come, take seats, people.", I asked of them, "Someone thirsty or hungry? We have quite a bit of stuff around!"

And the clueless ones could easily be served by typing her name into a search engine. But this invitation by the Marcach Guild of Cuan came really unexpected.

"Perfect.", the receptionist said, nodding, then motioning to where a young man stood, "That's Duncan, he's going to help you with your lugguage."
"Indeed I will. All bags to me, please.", he said and went to work.
"And here are your keys.", the receptionist finished, handing over a pair of very modern keys, which looked oddly out of place. "I'll let you decide, who gets which room. Front door is closed at midnight, you'll have to ring after that. Hope you'll like your stay! Any questions?"
He smiled.
It was not often, that he got such famous visitors into his inn.

The 60 NSD, or four Gil, vanished quickly in the blouse, the girl bowing her head politely.
"Thank you very much, Miss!", she said with a wide grin and enthusiasm, "To answer your question, I'm twelve Springs of age. People are sometimes surprised, but the Legal Working Age is Eleven Springs around these parts, under the condition, that it does not interrupt school, at the behest of the teachers." She grinned. "It betters up the pocket money quite well."
A beat passed.
"I'll better let you eat now, before it gets cold. Bon appetit!", the little waitress said and was gone. Flagging would make her come back, though.

Adab wrote:"Oh, thank you very much!" Her voice was filled with relief, knowing she wouldn't have to move elsewhere. She rushed over to the receptionist, not forgetting to reach for her backpack and take out her passport. She slid it across the table with unbridled enthusiasm and wrapped her hand around the pen. "WLAN is that Wi-Fi thing, right? Sorry, I'm just not that well-versed when it comes to that kind of thing."

"Indeed. Instructions are on the brochure on the table.", the receptionist said, handing her a key. "Everything checks out so far. Have a nice stay in lovely Shella! It's room 1-E."
Unlike in other inns, there was no porter to bring the lugguage up, but room 1-E meant first floor anyway, room E being not far away from the stairs. It was a small room, basically an over-glorified broom closet, with a little desk, a chair, a comfortable, if a bit wide, bed, a dresser, a sink. The bathroom and shower was three doors down, shared by all on the floor, a little brochure speaking of 'additional services', which promised relaxed bathing in a sort-of bath house in the cellar, including massage, amongst other things.
For an additional charge, of course.

The music drew nearer and nearer.

Kirie giggled and blushed at being told she looked younger "Why thank you! That's right, Kirie. And again my husband is Sora. Amy. Great to meet you"

Sora replied as well, "It's a pleasure Amy. So you fly planes. Your hobby or what you do for a living?"

"It's very impressive that you fly. How hard do you have to flap your arms?" Kirie laughed "Ah terrible joke I know, I'm used to being around really young kids so you pick things up. But you must be the best around these parts."

Amy grinned, amused by the joke - she didn't hear that one often, surprisingly.
"By now, somewhere between a passionate hobby and a calling.", she replied, still grinning, "I'm not the best around these parts, at least not when judging by my performance during NASJAR... I'm actually fifth in the standings right now. But I'll get them. Sooner, rather then later, I'll get them!"
She grinned, competitiveness in her eyes, burning a fire.

Filleadh House, Garden.
Yven arrived with the last chairs as someone rang the bell.
I motioned for him to stay and to get himself something to drink, I'd get it. "If you'd please excuse me for a moment?", I said and went off, leaving them with Chris, with enough seating for everyone.
I went to the door, only to see a very familiar girl as I rounded the house, not taking the route through the house. The black-haired young woman with the violin case was both invited and very welcome - it was Lise, after all. A wonderful violinist, she was, she had moved me with her music more then one time.
But still...
"Oh, I remember you for more then your violin, Lise.", I said with a grin, leaning against the wall. "Hi there."

Uachtair Inn.
Duncan replied: "The House's Restaurant is still serving breakfast. I think, today's special are the breadrolls?"
The receptionist nodded. "They are, yes.", he said, "And they have the fruit jam..."
"Please stop.", Duncan requested smiling, "I'm getting hungry at the mere thought." He turned to Hilda and her brother. "I would propose, that we first get your stuff to your rooms, then breakfast. Or I take your stuff up alone, you go to breakfast, but that'd mean me picking your rooms."
The rooms were nearly identical, but better ask then get a bollocking later.

The Selkie wrote:Amy grinned, but blushed at the praise and encouragment.
"Thank you very much...", she said and fought her blush valiantly, still loosing, before she focussed onto something else: "My Dad was a computer technician, I guess, that I have my actual job thanks to his influence, but my passion for flying came from my Mam. She was neither aviator nor had anything to do with airplanes, except one thing: She always wanted to fly. And that was actually the first thing I did when I had my license. Took her on a spin."
She grinned.
"She is a teacher, too.", Amy finished.

"Aw how very interesting!" Kirie replied.

"Yeah I think that's very nice how much your folks motivated you into what you do and what you're passionate about. A lost tradition of following your folks in their footsteps." Sora mused

"Yeah it is." Kirie agreed "And I bet your ma loved it the moment you got to take her to the sky. No doubt she was so proud of you."

Karl smiled when he received the handshake, and took a seat.
After an awkward silence he started. "I suppose you'll want context. Prussia-Poland has a colony in New Guinea called Kaiser-Wilhelmsland, in memory of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Capital is a coastal town called Neupommern, or New Pomerania. They're nothing alike, I assure you, Pomerania is not a tropical mosquito-ridden hell. Anyway, in the last 40 years there's been a communist rebellion. Nothing serious; throwing rocks at cars, blowing up disused drinking fountains, graffiti. Until the last 5 years. Shit happened with a worker's strike, the dispatched Schutzetruppe got nervous, one idiot thought they were about to riot and fired, and shit went downhill from there. It's grown out of the ability of the Kaiser-Wilhelmsland-Schutzetruppe to control, and since the Kaiserliche Marine has a major stake in K-W-L(There's a giant naval base there), they sent the IV. Seebattailon; my unit. It's based out of Port Erika, or Dar es Salaam as the locals call it.
Anyway, I find myself in New Guinea. 2 weeks pass, some guy catches a bullet in the shoulder, and we make a few raids. Then one day on our way back from a raid they tried to IED us. Again, dud, but a wooden case of ammunition fell from the overhead racks and landed pretty hard on my leg."

The Selkie wrote:Waari grinned, still swaying slightly in time with the music.
"Pleasure to meet you, Billie.", she said and let a small beat pass. "They indeed are all lovey-dovey. The song's fitting, too." She looked up to the little girl on her shoulders. "That one's called The Dance for my Beloved. Or something to that effect. It's usually played by beginners on the fiddle for someone they love, telling them, that they would love to dance with him or her." She smiled. "The beauty of this song is, that basically beginners can play that song, yet professionals like my colleague on stage can embeliish and improvise to it, creating something new and beautiful."

"It sure is pretty music." She replied entranced by the fiddle playing. Maybe just maybe Billie would have to take up fiddle playing and she too could play it that good for someone she cared about.

"So Waari, are you a farmer?" She asked with her eyes wide hoping she was a fellow farmer. "Well that's why we're here ya know because your farmers here are celebrating their good harvests! So we want to celebrate with them too cause we live on a farm." Now Billie was in getting into a long tangent, hopefully poor Waari would be able to keep up. It was also the time her country accent came out really heavy handed and she talked rather fast.

"I sure am glad y'all had a good harvest! Last harvest was good for us but not as much as papa had hoped when we planted in the spring," Even with the slightly sad story she was going into she still had a twinkle in her eye and bright spirited voice "Not as a good 'cause a big bad hail storm came and destroyed some of our crops before we could get it all. It was like all of a sudden we was eatin' supper and I was gettin' ready ta go ta bed and BOOOM! Big scary thunder clap and lots a lightnin' and clickity clack of hail hitting our house! Papa shouted everyone get yur coats on there's a hail storm goin' we gotta save the corn! So we did! Mama, papa and me all put on our raincoats and ran outside in the storm! Sure it hurt somethin' real firecre and we couldn't get it all, 'speically all the corn we hadn't picked off the stalks yet and the wheat too but it was still okay even with the storm cause we still made some good money. Mama was happy so was me but papa figured it could have been better still. But now we gots another whole season ahead of us. Hopefully we'll be blessed with some good fortune too with us comin' here as well."

Lisolette was surprised that Cel was leaning against the wall and she didn't saw her. But still happiness and joy invaded her body and she went straight to hug her.

"Celina long time no see,I missed to see an old friend like you. We need to catch up how life was after the PIA. Since you know,I only learned about your relation with Chris through his cousin in PiffleNet" she said very happy, but of course see old friends is always great.

"A-anyways we need to go inside since,I don't want that any of us catch an cold hehe" says Devienne ending the hug an little embarassed.

"Wait, is... is that a whole ram's horn?" Irene questioned, looking at the object in question as it hung inside of the store & walking towards the building, only to pause & look behind her, "Uh... Elliot?" Her brother, as it turned out, had wandered off to a peddler selling an assortment of wooden toys, but it took a few moments of her frantically jumping up & down to find him by his messy black hair & the familiar red rod sticking out from his backpack. Once she did find him, she casually ran over to him, glancing briefly at the wooden toys. "Hey," she said, interrupting him from his mesmerized stupor, "I'm going to be in that shop over there, okay?" She gestured to the store with the ram's horn, Elliot slowly nodded, & she ran back inside to get a closer look at the horn.

It wasn't quite clear why the boy was so interested in the toys, but it was obvious to the merchant that owned them that Elliot was definitely willing to buy some, although he seemed to be a bit distracted by them.

"Well, I'm searching for nothing in particular," Victoria said, unintentionally having a bizarrely indignant tone (but at least it wasn't a condescending one again), "Oh... uh, sorry about that. Just didn't expect anyone."
"I think that... black & blue lion-cat thing looks pretty nice! Same with that... uh..." Carrie suddenly cut in, her sister stepping slightly to the side to let her speak, "Beezle? Er... no... that orange weasel! Yeah... how much for both of them?" So long as the price was within reason, Carrie would agree to it & purchase it — either holding onto it for now to buy it at the register, or buying it right then & there, depending on the system that the store had.

"Oh, yeah," her sister would then say after that transaction was completed, "What's with this weird doll thing? It says that it's some sort of 'Dís, from La Friglas' & it doesn't seem to have any tags & whatnot. I think someone may have left this here..." She gestured to the doll, & it indeed lacked tags that would identify who owned it or whether it was a store item. What was certain, though, is that it had been placed at some point between the end of the day prior & the start of the day now, & had clearly not been valued enough for someone not to put a nametag on it... or was there one, & they just couldn't find it? Even if they could find one — wherever it may be, be it hidden inside the thing's open mouth or its fur — there was no guarantee that it would be useful.

Perhaps an employee who had been near the area during the start of the tourist rush could help, if they had for some reason been monitoring the area during those first few hours. Depending on how good that employee's memory was — assuming first that there even was one — they might either remember it simply showing up at one point when they turned back, or if everyone was lucky enough, it would be recalled that the plush had been placed by some sort of graceful, cloaked woman who showed only her clothing. However, with the way that the woman moved, it seemed impossibly dreamlike for real life, as though she had showed up in a dream that that person was remembering as an actual event.

Hieronymus Panzer strolled down the streets of Shella in a melancholy mood, in contrast to his surroundings. Having just arrived from an important and successful meeting in a third country, he was hoping to get away and enjoy the Freelands. However, an important part of his plan was scuttled. The young diplomat had planed and under the radar rendezvous with a certain Emma and now he held in his hand, a telegram from that same Emma, cancelling, for her part, their vacation. The telegram contained no explanation, but promised a letter would follow. Still, Hieronymus had his suspicions. Neither their parents approved of their relationship, hence the almost secret meeting, and Emma especially had been under enormous pressure to end it. Heartbroken at the idea that she could have given in to such pressure, the young man began his vacation.

His luggage was beginning to feel heavy as he approached the Píoráid Inn, where he had reserved. Man, they better have bellhops. he thought as he approached the reception. As a result of his diplomatic training, he had learned to hid his thoughts and emotions, but now he was on vacation, so he wore his heart on his sleeve. As he let his burdens down, he addressed the receptionist. "Hello, I have a reservation, under the name of Panzer." Emma and he had booked separate rooms at separate Inns, so the he didn't have to worry about her cancellation.
