History

During the great depression, riots insured larger than any country and seen. All kinds, from socialist to fascist and even anarchist. Emanuel knew something had to be done. He gave powerful and pasionate speeches to the point the Italian people demanded the Parliament and elements of democracy be removed and to give Victor Emanuel VIII supreme power in 1933. Since then, he has heavily militarized and industrialized the country, moving forward with the idea of creating a "Latin Empire" by uniting the peoples of the Mediterranean Sea.

OOC: When you say that the order is completed, do you mean that the Balkans are Italian now?

Eisenhower looks at the map spread before him. He notices that Canada is open territory. "Take the Wester strip form Washington to Alaska." South Acren troops prepare to move North

I do not have time for an intro post like I hoped so here is a summary:

was this poor guy who was made fun of because of his name. He felt that Persia was being suppressed by foreigners and decided to start a revolution, with being the leader.

The revolution was pointless because all the other countries collapsed anyways. However, realized that new countries would rise soon. He decided to make Persia strong so in this new world order, it will be a superpower.

Established the Eranshahr of Persia-Kebabistan and crowned himself as Shah.

Despite this, he lives a relatively simple life compared to other royalty so he does not become corrupted with luxury and so he will focus on his people.

He then took over Hashemite Iraq and Saudi Arabia because he wanted to keep the Persian Gulf secure.

His first act is launching an invasion of Turkey. Troops in Iran and Iraq are being drafted.

South Acren starts production on new war planes. The plane is based on plans found in Dallas. The blueprints, which were originally revered to as the P-51 Mustang, Is now being mass produced.

The Persians take over all of Anatolia and reach Istanbul. General walks over to the new border between Persia and Italy. He suggests that they divide the land. Persia will get Asian Turkey and Asian Istanbul while Italy will get European Turkey and European Istanbul. He requests a non-aggresaion pact.

OOC: Suryak, I realized that both of us were being unrealistic since you took over the Balkans in one post and I took over Anatolia in one post. Let's try not to do that again.

Noticing that America is mostly neutral in world affairs but it is very powerful, the Shah requests an alliance with America.

Eisenhower receives the message and thinks for a minute. "Well I guess It wouldnt hurt."

Now that there is an alliance with America, the Shah breathes a sigh of relief. However, he has to be careful, because he does not want Persia to be a Western puppet again.

The Italians have always been friends since the "realization" with the Americans. Mostly it had consisted of Arms deals but Victor proposes a hardcore pact: A declaration of war on one of us is a declaration of war on both of us. Same with offense wars.

General Tehrani says that he wants just the Asian parts of Turkey and Istanbul and will not enroach onto European Istanbul and Thrace. He says that the King of Italy only ordered to conquer the Balkans, not Anatolia. He also states that he does not intend to conquer the Balkans because the Balkan people do not want to be ruled by a foreign culture.

Tehrani says to the General, "when I said they do not want to be controlled by a foreign power, I meant that they do not want to be controlled by Persia. As far as I know, they are fine with your rule. And I think the Turkish Straits should be our border. You will still get European Turkey and Persia will still get Asian Turkey. We do not want to invade you. Just let Persia control Anatolia and Asian Istanbul and we will leave you alone. The culture of Anatolia, though different from both of our countries, is more similar to Persia because of our shared religion."

The Persians hear about the invasion of Egypt. They launch an invasion of of the former Mandatory Palestine and the Sinai in response. Arabian troops attack the Southern tip of Israel and the Sinai Peninsula. Meanwhile, Turkish troops sail to Gaza and Sinai. They attack the Sinai from both sides until the Eastern Sinai is under Persian control. Troops are stationed in Sinaian settlements such as Saint Katrine. The rest of the troops then go north to conquer Palestine.

OOC: Where exactly is our current border? Does it divide Istanbul?

IC: The Persians also fire shots at the Italian soldiers who fired shots at them. They are ordered to only attack if an Italian attacks first.

In Israel/Palestine, the Persians conquer the rest of the Holy Land. They recruit help from the native peoples in the area. They try to stop the Italians from getting inland and they establish coastal garrisons, all of them a mile from the shore to block the Italian advance. The Italians are restricted to the area around modern day Tel Aviv.

Since a war has already started, General goes to his army and orders them to conquer all of Asian Turkey and Asian Istanbul. They attack quickly, occupying Asian Istanbul. Other troops in the area occupy the rest until all of Anatolia and Asian Istanbul are under Persian control.

Meanwhile, a detachment starts invading the coast of Syria and Lebanon. Though the Syrians and Lebanese do not like the idea of a foreign Persian culture ruling them, they decide it is better than being ruled by Italy, which wants to establish a Latin Empire, which would involve getting rid of Arab influence. Syria and Lebanon quickly go under Persian control.

In the Asir Region of Saudi Arabia, mercenaries are recruited. They sail South and seize the mouth of the Red Sea. This way, the Persians can control what goes through the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean.

Now that he controls the three holiest cities in Islam and is the sole Muslim nation, Shah declares himself as the Khalifah, or Caliph. His full title is this:

Shahanshah-Khalifah of the Eranshahr of Persia-Kebabistan.

This will increase his prestige. He asks the world to recognize him as the Caliph of the Islamic World.

He sends a telegram to America, saying that he would like to buy four plots of land in America: one just North of New York City, one at the Northeastern point of Long Island, one at the mouth of Chesapeake Bay, and one near Houston. In those areas he wants to buy, he wants to build Persian ports. The ports will be Persian territory, but 15% of tax proceeds will go to America. He says that America can also purchase land in Persia if they want.

He also offers a similar deal to China. He wants to buy a plot of land on the coast of Lüshunkou District and a plot of land North of Shanghai to build Persian ports on. Just like with Acren, they will be Persian territory but 15% of tax proceeds will go to the Chinese government. They can also purchase land in Persia if they want.

Emperor Yuan Shikai was in his private quarters in the Forbiddon City, napping. Then, his adviser suddenly walks in, as if in a hurry.

"Sire" the adviser said, receiving no reply from Shikai.

"Sire" he tried again, louder.

The emperor woke with a start, then look around, trying to find what woke him. His eyes eventually laid on the adviser, then his expression turned serious.

"What is it? It's currently my break, and I wish not to be bothered."

"Sorry, my heavenly master, but I've received news. You must get prepared and go meet with the senators in the imperial court."

Shikai sighs. "Very well, if I must." He then turned to call his servants, who quickly helped him change.

By the time Shikai arrived, the senate was filled with noise. Many of the senators seemed to be arguing, at the moment still in a civil manner. When the senators saw the emperor, they all bowed as Shikai sat on his throne.

"Please forgive us, lord! We have not seen you walk in, and deserve to be punished!" the senators all said in unison.

"It's fine. Please, get up, and tell me what you all have been bickering about."

The senators did as they were told, and went to sit in their seats. Then one of them, Cao Gao, who was one of the most influential, got up and replied to the emperor's question.

"We were having a discussion about the situation in China" he said, not at all nervous or tense, "and we could not agree on the same thing."

"And, what is that?" Shikai asked, while a servant pours him his tea.

"You see, my lord, tensions around the globe has been rising. Though we did not get hit as hard by the great depression as others, our economy is still at an early stage of recovering. Not only that, but riots and protests have started on Taiwan, and our peace keepers are having more and more trouble keeping the island stable. I suggest we give them independence, or at least turn them into a half-autonomous region, as I see no value in keeping them when compared to our other territories that has gone sour. Yunnan, for example, tried to self-proclaim their own Kingdom, but we manged to crush them. Others, Tibet, the mountainous province of Buddhist monks, have asked for more autonomy, along with Mongolia. Compared these, and Taiwan seems useless. Of course, they provide a great naval base, but our fleet are not the most durable, and can get easily defeated. "

After he finished, another senator, Sima Hong, stands up suddenly.

"No! We cannot allow any territory, no matter the worth, to break loose of our grasp!" He shouted, almost angrily. "The only China to endure in such modern times is a centralized one, not of a feudal one of the old times. I suggest we put more military presence on Taiwan and Tibet. Our armed forces are quickly adapting and modernizing, and now comparable to the Japanese. Also, we are producing our first modern destroyers and air-crafts. We can stand up on our own now, especially since the western pigs have weakened themselves in their Great War."

"No, you don't understand" Cao Gao said, still looking at the emperor. "We cannot hold on to them forever in complete force. Giving them vassalage or autonomy allows them to deal with problems themselves, and less riots and tension. Also, don't you remember the Qin, who tried to rule with complete dominance? We cannot afford to collapse and let foreigners take advantage of it."

"Pfft, you speak as if you know everything" sneered Sima Hong. "We are not like that of the old. Our manpower is one of the greatest, much like the Russians, and we have modernized much like the Japanese. If we need help, why not just ask for support from other powers? Sure, that is against our traditions, but those are no longer important. We can ask the Italians, or even the Americans."

"I agree that we need allies, but only for protection and trade. We can't allow foreigners running loose, spreading ideas such as "democracy and socialism". However, we must first prioritize the interior before the exterior. We'll need powers to help us against Japan, and help us reclaim Tanna Tuva and Eastern Manchuria from the Russians, but only after our current provinces are secured and corruption dealt with."

Just as Sima Hong opened his mouth to reply, a messenger ran into the court, exhausted.

"Master of the Heavens! Communist Rebels have sprung up in the central regions!" he said, quickly bowing down.

At this, Shikai rose from his seat. "What? How! They were rid of years ago! How could they have regained strength after our last campaign?"

"Well sire, this just proves my point" Cao Gao says. "With situations like this, not only would provinces claim independence, but radicals would rise up and revolt. Surely, we can't allow such extremist people to rule this country, can we?"

Once again, Sima Hong tried to reply, but was silenced by Shikai. "Very well, we'll go with your way." he said, sitting down and sipping his tea. "Tibet, Mongolia, and Taiwan will become half-autonomous regions, along with a few others."

Tibet, Taiwan, and Mongolia are now half-autonomous, choosing their own governors. However, they still don't have any military. China continues to industrialize, and sends troops to fight the Communist rebels.

The Empire of China is interested in doing business with you. We would like to have either a non-aggression pact or military alliance between our two empires. I understand you may see it's worthless, but later on you may find it useful.

Further more, we would like to supply your nation with tungsten in return for military guidance and technology.
Please respond as soon as possible.

OOC: I control istanbul and then some

OOC: Okay.

IC: Now that Persia controls Asian Istanbul and Anatolia from the battle earlier, they set up forts along the Asian shore of the Turkish Straits. This way, it will be harder for the Italians to reconquer Asian Istanbul and Anatolia.

In Israel/Palestine, the Italian soldiers are surrounded, with all of them besieged in Tel Aviv. They are given the order to surrender. Ships surround Tel Aviv's coast so they do not escape by sea. The Persian ships provide a small gap from which the Italian soldiers can escape. The reason is because if there is no way out, all of the soldiers will fight to the death. However, if a small gap is left, some of the scared soldiers will take the chance to peacefully escape, weakening the military force.

He sends another telegram to Emperor Shikai. It says this:

Greetings Emperor Shikai of China,

I am Kourosh Kebabi, the Shah of Persia and Caliph of the Islamic World. I have a proposal that will benefit both of our countries.

I would like to form a trade alliance with China. As long as history can remember, China and Persia have been lands of prosperity and rich cultures. An alliance will strengthen both of our economies and build a new friendship between our countries.

For our trade alliance, I propose that Persian goods in China are taxed less and Chinese goods in Persia are taxed less. We can also encourage commerce between our two countries. It will be rather loose so our countries can go their own ways, yet both of our countries will improve from this. I implore you to accept this offer of a trade alliance between two of Earth's grandest and most ancient civilizations.

I would also like to buy two plots of land in your country: a plot of land on the coast of Lüshunkou District and a plot of land North of Shanghai to build Persian ports on. Though they will be Persian territory, 15% of tax proceeds will go to the Chinese government. If you accept, you may purchase land in Persia for Chinese ports if you would like.

If you would like to discuss this further, I can send a Persian diplomat to China.

Despite our nations' grandness, they have not interacted much as of yet. However, I want our first major interactions to be of brotherhood, of a mutual bond between our cultures.
