Hundreds of refugees from around the Middle East and Central Asia amassed along Magyarija's border with Serbia as the corridor to the rest of Europe. They all demanded to be allowed into Magyarija so they could make new lives in Europe but the government of the Gazdag of Magyarija would have none of this, as it disturbed the homogeneous population of the country and the progress being made to achieve the status as a pure nation state. The idea of foreigners with a different culture and religion opposed to the core values of Magayrija was unacceptable even though most of the refugees had no intentions of settling in Magyarija the idea of their presence was cause for outrage, this was an excellent opportunity to assert power in central Europe to show that Magarija was a nation to be recognized for its decisions and sternness in resisting foreign influence,
Doctor "Attila" Sandor Harsányi seized power in mid-2012 after wining the election by using intimidation and his position in the military to consolidate power and since assuming the role as president he has conducted a series of reforms to centralize the government and expand his powers as president and has been called a dictator by most of his opponents and even compared to Hitler.
"They will not enter Magyarija so long as I am in charge our country is for Magyars and no one else, it makes absolutely no sense for us to tolerate a foreign presence they have no loyalty to our country nor do they share our culture or values. In fact these people don't belong in Europe period be it France or Germany. This is why ISIS attacks France and they deserve it too, while the rest of the world cried for Charlie Hebdo and the Bataclan, we warned them about the fire they were playing with and because they ignored the warnings and acted foolishly and naively they got what they deserved. I am not going to subject Magyarija to the same risks or enter our nation into a position where we are bound to fight wars for other countries because some terrorists they welcomed turned on them. We will repel the invading hordes with all of our resources from the military to police and maintain our nation as a fortress and when our country is the only nation left in Europe that preserves its national status then we will see who is laughing then."
The military was deployed along the border to stop the immigrants and refugees live fire was even used to deter them, as detachments arrived along the border they greeted their superiors with the "Turan Salute" and marched in formations to intimidate the agitated refugees who threw rubbish and rocks at the army. The army was ordered to shoot anyone deemed to be a threat or potential terrorist. The pops of the shots would scare away dozens at a time but they would eventually return, after using live fire flash bangs and water canons were also used and Shepard dogs would bite anyone who got too close.
