Some things are reasonable concessions. Slave labour isn't one of them.

If you pay taxes to ensure that the state can provide you with things to make your life easier, it only makes sense that the state should be able to levy service when its very existence is at threat.

No it doesn't. Paying an economic fee in order to participate in the economics of society is wildly different from slave labour.

If they want to join, they'll join. If they don't, they can get out of it by getting pregnant anyway.

When my landlord has a right to force me to do labour, you'll have an argument. My landlord has no such right, so you don't.

He can write into the contract do that. As you so often say, you have no right to complain what the landlord does with his money or your labor. Just leave!

And yet this is the precise argument you've been holding on since at least 2013, that because I am in the United States as a US Citizen I have an obligation to do whatever the country wants me to because I live in said country and that if I don't like it I can always leave the country and renounce my citizenship:

In so far as your argument seems to be, the government, as a return of granting me rights and citizenship privileges of living here, can tell me I need to be part of their military, and if I don't like it I can always renounce my citizenship. That was your "solution" to the problem.

Now you're saying that is not the case, and that the government is wrong in telling me "you either join the military when we tell you to or you can give us back your citizenship"? Just curious.

I don't think he's saying that women would get automatically pregnant through sex, but that a military draft on women will make many women to try to become pregnant in as little time as possible to get out of the draft.

Which is not an unrealistic scenario tbh, a lot of draft dodgers during Vietnam actually sought exemptions for many things, some bordering on the ridiculous.

What I'm getting at is that the drafting women cannot simply be waved away as an issue by saying "It's fine, they can just get pregnant", because...well, because the reasons I just said.

Conscription is a responsibility to contribute to the society that supports me, under your logic.

If I don't like it, I can always leave under your logic because they are not exactly forcing me to participate in a system of involuntary military service, because renouncing my citizenship is always an option.

Sex doesn't always cause pregnancy, but it's quite likely to, especially if someone isn't taking birth control; ie. is deliberately seeking pregnancy.

And if child support law hasn't deterred sex prior to the completion of post-secondary education, then yeah, "merely open the door" is not too much of an exaggeration of male sex drive.

It's not forced labor if you can renounce your citizenship tho, you yourself have said that.

Are you now saying that your argument is faulty and that, in fact, making people choose between X and renouncing their citizenship is wrong?

No, it's the right person. I remember him linking to YouTube videos on numerous occasions. I think he even linked to Samantha Bee one time back before she became famous for being a foul-mouthed bitch.

Again: there is a difference between paying a fee for access and forced labour. Similarly, my landlord can't force me to do manual labour for him to live here.

It's not forced labor if you can renounce your citizenship tho, you yourself have said that.

And yet, the two are entirely different: again, my landlord cannot force me to do manual labour in return for my residency.

Are you now saying that your argument is faulty and that, in fact, making people choose between X and renouncing their citizenship is wrong?

No. Try reading my fucking posts and actually responding to what I've said, rather than making up bullshit.

Over 40% (including me), are, so I fixed the post for accuracy.

I have read your posts clearly, you seem to forget that we can all remember what you posted.

Taxes are no different from involuntary military service. Since you are essentially using the rule of law to make other people listen to you and do as you say.

Taxes being a form of payment for access is not entirely true, as you have to pay taxes under rule of law. You have essentially implied through your years of arguning the same point that if I don't like the rule of law of a country I can always renounce my citizenship because it is an "option". Now you're saying that this doesn't apply to all cases, and that is just inconsistent if you think of me obeying the law as something I should do regardless of my opinion if I am a citizen of a country.

You paying taxes to a country is less of a landlord's agreement and more of a thuggish one, where the only legitimacy behind their word is the ability of the government to back up their words with force (whereupon the government stripping me of my citizenship is a form of). Under your logic, so it is reasonable for a government to tell me to join military service whether I like it or not or lose my citizenship, after all, it is a burden that I chose to take the minute I decided to become a citizen, and if I didn't like that burden I should have never become a citizen to begin with.

For the record, that is not my argument, that is the logical conclusion to yours in this particular case.

Sex doesn't always cause pregnancy, but it's quite likely to, especially if someone isn't taking birth control; ie. is deliberately seeking pregnancy.

Not really. Plenty of people who want to have children have some degree of difficulty doing so.

And if child support law hasn't deterred sex prior to the completion of post-secondary education,

then yeah, "merely open the door" is not too much of an exaggeration of male sex drive.
