Vastya: Good evening ladies and gentlemen! My name is Vastya Ilusov and I'm here reporting live from Telm City, Britonisea, here to bring you all live coverage for the 66th Worldvision Song Contest! With me, is my great friend and avid Worldvision fan, Darya Kasić!

Darya: Actually this is my 3rd time ever seeing the show, so I wouldn't go ahead and call me an avid fan, but yes, I do greatly enjoy the show.

Vastya: Hahaha, okay then. Well this is Britonisea's fourth time hosting the contest, and the first time in Telm City. What do you make of it so far?

Darya: Well, I mean, my experience here has been rather mixed. One one end, I do enjoy the city itself, but I'm not a fan of crowds and all that, so it's taken me a while to adjust. That being said, I do thing the Britonish broadcaster has done a great job so far, and I'm so excited for what they have in store for tonight!

Vastya: Alright. It's time for this thing to start now, so hush now. The opening act is about to begin!

#0: Opening Act
The Orchestra of Dreams - Capturing Every Moment

Vastya: Ladies and gentlemen, as you know, this contest is taking place in Britonisea, so of course, they are unaware of the law forbidding the placement of the Polkopian flag on the floor, so please don't be offended here. I actually think it's a great way to start off this show! Plenty of drama, yet a simple and colorful introduction for all the participants!

Darya: Yeah, it was alright. It seemed to focus a lot on Britonisea itself, but I guess it makes sense since they're hosting the damned thing.

Vastya: It's a lot of pink though. Do you know that the LGBT+ movement in Polkopia, who of course use the color pink in many of their protests and advertisements, are trying to push more and more Polkopians to watch Worldvision?

Darya: I can understand why, but anywho, the fashion scene in Britonisea must be atrocious. I do not like these woman's shoes, especially with that dress? No. The colors simply don't work. Who is she again?

...

Darya: ...Ah so she's one of the hosts for tonight's show. Well you'd think her stylist would've done a better job.

Vastya: ...Alright, and the show's started, and look who's kicking it off! It's our boys! I'm really excited for this, Darya, I have to say! Up first it's Polkopia!

20. AXUVA- ZAYRA ZAHAROV, DESIRE

Image
Image

[WEN NEWS COVERAGE FROM KALZTEKH, AXUVA, WEN STUDIO 3 ]

“Today is the day that a small artist from Axuva will get to perform on the WorldVision stage tonight, after winning a singing contest in Axuva, she has released her first album and now she will be seen tonight on the big stage, she has dedicated her life to music and dancing, she takes her work seriously and hopes to win in worldvision for her country and her name is Zayra Zaharov.”

[Zayra would rush her way to the stage adjusting her clothes as she got on the lift, she would get on the chair that was on the lift, she crossed her legs with a prop cigar in her mouth and she took it out.]

[The kind of western sounding beat would start to play as the crowd was cheering she would get up, swinging her legs, as the lift was in the air, as smoke flooded the stage and she would start singing.]

“I’ma be like a supercar that you get from the dealership!”
“I’ma be like a ice cream cone and it’s drippin’ all on ya floor!”
“The way you make me move oh my!!” (Oh my!)
“Doing stuff for ya’ all the time!” (Yes!)
“Whatever I give to you tonight!” (Yes!)
“Sit back let me do it all nice, (Yes!) let go and let me do it all!”

[The lift would start going down and she would move the chair, as the prop stairs came up on another lift, and her backup dancers came down the stairs with her. They would start dancing to the beat, with Zayra, and Zayra would sing with the backup singers.]

“Let me be, I needs to be, got to be,
Let me please be your desire,
“Des-i-i-re!”
“I’m your desire, (Desire!)”
“Let it be, I need to be, got to be,
Let me please be your desire,
“Des-i-i-re!”
“I’m your desire! (Desire, hey, hey)”
“Come and sit back, yeah,
Come and sit back yeah,
Come and sit back yes, yes,
Come and sit back!”

[The LED screen would show black and white visuals of Zayra in a old western town, in a saloon where people were watching her perform, the scene showed her dancing along with other women and she was the only one singing]

“It’s important for you to know I can do
To make you stay!” (Make you stay)
“Baby, do you want to fly,
Just sit and don’t misbehave!” (Misbehave)

[As she sang out these lines, on the stage men would be seated in wooden chairs and the women would be dancing for them, and they were all in a line, except for Zayra, and Zayra would be at the microphone stand at the end of the stage.]

“Just doing alotta things to you!” (You!)
“Just look at what I’ll do!” (I'll do!)
“You’ll see whatever I’m putting on!” (Oh!)
“Now, take it off while you watch me go on!”

The backup singers would now start to sing with Zayra again, harmonizing with her.

“Let me be, I needs to be, got to be”
Let me please, be your desire!”
“Desi-i-re!”
“I’m your desire!” (Desire!)
“Let me be, I need to be, let me be!”
“Let me please be your desire!”
“Cause I’m ya desire!”
“I’m your desire!” (Desire, hey, hey!)
“Come and sit back, yeah!”
“Come and sit back yeah,”
“Come and sit back yes, yes,”
“Come and sit back!”

[The LED wall showed more visuals of her finishing up her act on a main stage and many people were watching and there were backup dancers and singers in the saloon, and the other LED screens were showing off the performance live. As she was singing, she would start walking to the prop stairs that sat on the back LED wall, but did not fully block it, they were black and had lights on them, they backup dancers sat on them, and so did Zayra, as there was a ring spotlight. And she then went on to sing the next lyrics]:

“And I, know that you need some quality time….”
“I know just what I’m doing
Don’t be acting like a fool
“Got you all for me too so I hope you’re ready yeah yeah!”
“I promise I’ll please you anytime!”
“For every kiss, rub, and touch!”
“You need to know I’ll be on time!”

[As she got up, she started to run down the stairs and her vocals were clear and loud despite moving alot and dancing, all the pyrotech smoke and sparks would blast and her hair would blow and her outfit, as the fans were blowing on her, some backup dancers stayed on the stairs and some went with her.]

[As she started singing the next line, she got on her knees, yelling out the lyrics, stretching out her left arm, as her right hand had her mic in it. The LED visuals ended and all of the cameras went on her and the stage and all of the screens were just showing the live performance.]

She got up and started going to the lift. The girls surrounded her, dancing as she blurted out the words next and fanning her with red chinese hand fans as apart of the act.

“Yes!”
“Yes!”
“Yeah!!”

[As she ended the song, she strutted off to the lift on the prop stairs and the song ended she posed, the crowd cheered, especially Axuvians and the pyro came on, and the lift went down as all of her dancers were on it with her and the pyrotechnics went off, and the stage props, and the stage got dark.]

[WEN LIVE BROADCAST]

“Hello! This is Mikhail Jae-In live in Telm City, Britonesia! And really…. I have to say….. that.. that was an amazing performance, that’s like top level… She has everything, shes a great dancer, singer, she has it all. That’s all I can really say because I’m speechless. Her vocals and breathing techniques, dancing techniques were all perfectly timed and the visuals matched the performance.”
The camera switched back to the studio

“Thank you, that was Mikhail Jae-In, and we will be right back with you, at WEN. Thank you for watching this performance of our own, more performances will be on the way, and we will be live broadcasting the results.”

Axuva Today Network [ATN] Today we announce that the Axuvian Government now recognizes The Russian Language as an Official Language, Korean and English were spoken in the beginning, but there were Russians too, russians were forgotten and their language were not recognized due to the things they did in the past, but now their language is a official language of Axuva, and there will now be 3 official languages instead of two.

21. TITANIUMLAND
Greta Pehrsson — "New Heights"
(In the tune of Florence and the Machine - "Hunger")

Image

About the artist
Greta Ester Pehrsson is a Titaniumlander indie pop singer-songwriter. She has shown interest in music since she was five, when she was trained to play piano. Then, at 13, she taught herself to play guitar and bass. In high school, Greta was picked as the vocalist and guitarist of an all-girls high school band, Tiger Paws. Noticing their talent and passion in music, her uncle, Simon Pehrsson, a record producer, let the band to record music in his studio.

They offered their demo to many record labels, before Embrace Records signed them a contract. Soon, they recorded their debut extended play titled New Wave when Greta was 21. The band recorded more extended plays before they decided to split up three years later, due to management issues.

Greta was still signed on the Embrace Records, recording as a solo artist. She released her debut album titled Circle, when she was 27, taking three years to produce and compose. The album received positive response from the critics and general public. Her guts to criticize the government, or literally everything, through her lyrics, attracted more audience and received praise. She now has four albums and her upcoming album, Higher will be released as soon as Greta comes back from Britonisea.

About the song
"New Heights" is a song written by Greta Pehrsson and produced by Freddie Day. Greta told Swedish morning television show, God morgon Titans! that the song is about criticizing the Titaniumland's urban planning. "You know, these days, they just evict poor people's houses, also parks, and build apartments and hotels and whatever, and I wanna address the song since I think it can relate to most Titans and we deserve more places that we can breathe fresh air every morning, more public green places since most of them are only exclusives to apartment owners," she explained. She later called apartment constructions were "pointless" since most people preferred to live in houses.

She also called out that the compensation money for people who got their house evicted was not enough to even own an apartment. "I got the victims of injustice settling in my house until they got to live with their relatives, I listen to their story and I have a platform where many people will pay attention. So why not write a song about it?," Greta answered about where she got the inspiration from. She also donates 50% of the record's selling to the victims of house eviction.

The performance
Bold is Greta's part
Italic is the choir's part

The live version of the track has more improvements on the instrumentation. Trumpet appears on the intro and is performed by Samuel Fredriksson. The camera shoots on him while the choir (consisted of Tre-Marie Davis, Charity "Cherry" Parks, Erina Stass, Marina Grant, Zoey Kelley, Andy Brown, Kamasi Bennett, Tremaine Everlast, Miguel Tracey and Anderson Parks) sings the intro.
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

The camera shoots on Greta, while sitting on stage like this and then she sings the verse. The LED screen remains dark and the stage lights only spot on her.
Construction left me red-eyed
And lungs full of dust
House eviction left me with emptiness
And that I crave you to

The camera zooms out and a male dancer lifts Greta and spin her around while she sings the pre-chorus. The LED screen remains dark and the stage lights spot follow the speed and the direction Greta spins.
Take us to the new heights
(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)

Where no one will touch us

(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)

Take us to the new heights

(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)

Where no one will touch us

(Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)

The camera follows Greta through the part, as she is running around the stage. Greta is doing the same choreography as her ten dancers. Greta comes up to one dancer to another while dancing.
All they care is about money
And cash rules everything around me
Lips were kept tight
Got filled with money
Til it stuck deep in their throats
And that I crave you to

Greta goes to the choir and walks forward as the camera shoots walking backwards. As the chorus builds up, the ten dancers reach out to Greta and surrounding her then she lets go and leaves them.
Take us to the new heights
(Take us to the new heights)
Where no one will touch us
(Where no one will touch us)
Take us to the new heights
(Take us to the new heights)
Where no one will touch us
(Where no one will touch us)

Greta is walking around the stage while the dancers follows her. Greta steps on the dancer's palms to go up on the "stairs". Soon as she goes up, she drops herself and one of the dancers catches her. Then, the camera shows around the arena and not shooting the stage at all.
The ones you expelled
Couldn't even set their foots on
The one you called your land
Moneyless left us powerless
Working hard for the place that you forced
How could anything bad ever happen to you?
You got your bag secured and your grave pit owned

The camera shoots up close when Greta and her dancers creating "faces sandwich" and doing choreography as shown in this video (2:37-2:58).
Sometimes I think that love is unfair
The only love you'll ever get is
From the one who gets paid the same amount of bills
I'm tryna break away the rule
Give myself to strangers
That surprisingly can relate to me
More than people in the industry
When will you leave your conservative mind?
And that I crave you to

Greta is sitting on stage throughout the chorus, while the dancers reach out to her but she lets go. She is laying on stage then dancers lifts her up.
Take us to the new heights
(Take us to the new heights)
Where no one will touch us
(Where no one will touch us)
Take us to the new heights
(Take us to the new heights)
Where no one will touch us
(Where no one will touch us)

The camera follows Greta through the part, as she is running around the stage. Greta is doing the same choreography as her ten dancers. Greta comes up to one dancer to another while dancing.
All they care is about money
And cash rules everything around me
Lips were kept tight
Got filled with money
Til it stuck deep in their throats
And that I crave you to

As soon as she finishes the pre-chorus, Greta and the camera disappear from the camera and it starts shooting the choir. Greta is not singing the last chorus as well, only the choir.
Take us to the new heights
Where no one will touch us
Take us to the new heights
Where no one will touch us

After the choir sings the last chorus, Greta and the dancers are laying on stage while the camera shoots them from above. The camera shoots them and zooming out, much like this (3:05-3:24; except the dancing part). As soon as the camera zooms out, the choir and the band also join her laying on stage, looking directly to the camera, while Greta sings with no music.
And you may say we are immoral
And not working hard enough
So, stop taking away our chances
To replace your place
How could anything bad ever happen to you?
You got your bag secured and your grave pit owned

After the song ends, while still laying, Greta shouts "Do it for the love, do it for your country, do it for your right! Thank you Britonisea for the chance!"

Audience

A pair of Edomites, representing the Ministry of Culture, sat in the audience. One of them was a young man, with strong features, ark brown hair, light olive skin, wearing a collarless dark blue shirt and slacks. In spite of his youth he walked with a cane and his hips moved awkwardly. Nevertheless his spine was upright and his demeanor was watchful and alert. This was Stephen Pahath-Moab, the youngest brother of the late President of the Council of Ministers.

Another was a young woman with raven hair, elegant long nosed and long chinned features, wearing a crimson evening dress that came to lower thigh and gently hugged her hips and waist. Her shoulders were bare and brushed by her hair which was softly cut to present her face. She wore simple gold jewelry, delicate links around her wrists and a cross around her neck. This was Lavinia Tuller, a journalist with NENN News.

The Commencement

"Britonisea understands how to do spectacle in the modern way," observed Pahath-Moab. "And this music is actually lovely. The orchestra is a fine touch."

"I was expecting some kind of pop stuff, but it is actually both joyous and dignified." Lavinia Tuller agreed. She looked at her programme for a translation of the lyrics and said, "Simple but very pretty. And I admire their love of their own country--they welcome others but save their love for their own. This is a splendid symphony and dance of welcome."

"Well, they seem to be a kind people, for all our differences," observed Pahath-Moab. "And see how happy the people are. It is like when my brother would attend a football match...including his very last. You know, this was a good idea of the Ministry of Culture's. We must speak with the producers, editors, stage managers afterwards. This would not have been possible without them. They make all this choreography look easy and natural, which suggests much practice and preparation. Remarkable."

"An excellent start, I agree. They're a rather weepy folk, aren't they?" said Lavinia Tuller with a smile. "but such patriotism is truly admirable. This is a beautiful setting..."

Polkopia

"Hm...I do not like this style of music," said Pahath-Moab. "It reminds me of Ayaca for some reason. Too many funny sounding drums..."

"Oh come on," said Lavinia. "Wait and let it sink in a bit..." she could not help but sway her hips and move her hands to the music. "They're celebrating their football! How delightful! Oooh now the beats are really getting going, and that deep manly chorus is making me shiver!"

"Control yourself,"said Stephen Pahath-Moab with a smirk.

There was something infectious in the excitement, the song and the dance moves and lyrics captured a sense at being at a big match and the street parties afterwards. One could imagine it as a great drama ending in victory for one's national team, and got the impression of huge crowds and team colours blazing in the sun and later in the night.

"Oh alright, I admit I do like it. Too tinny a beginning perhaps but once it got going, very nice indeed," admitted Stephen Pahath-Moab.

"But part of what makes it work is the camera work. They have an excellent crew. Again, this presents opportunities for good contacts. And they do have a great team." observed Pahath-Moab. "It brought the whole scene to life--the contrast with the live stage and the big screens makes it seem as though you are leaping around in differing points of view. I mean their dancing and singing is good, their athleticism remarkable, but the camera work turns it from impressive to magical." he clapped enthusiastically along with others in the audience.

Vartugia

"Shit," said Pahath-Moab.

"Absolute shit," said Lavinia Tuller, shaking her head. "And throwing tomatoes on that beautiful stage. Ridiculous people."

They each glanced at one another and then briefly burst out laughing. To their relief, the clownish fools soon left the stage.

South Batoko

"Well, that was decent, but to be honest I've heard and seen this sort of thing in nightclubs back home. It's a good solid performance, but nothing to write home about," said Lavinia Tuller.

"You attend nightclubs?" said Pahath-Moab with distaste. "A unmarried woman? You represent things wrong with our country."

"I'm a journalist and an art college graduate," said Lavinia. "I'm virtually an actress or ballerina, I'm allowed to be risque."

He laughed. "Well it's nice enough. I like the lyrics and the background music."

"The lyrics make it sound as though it was pumping through you and making you get up and shake it," said Lavinia, "But I just kind of feel relaxed."

They waited to see the next performance...

Ardoki

Lavinia grabbed at Stephen Pahath-Moab's arm when the soldiers and tanks rolled in, aiming barrels at the audience. "No, Lord, those commies wouldn't dare...?"

He held her hand and gently lifted it from his arm. "I doubt it. It's some kind of demonstration no doubt, but we will remember to commit our souls to God...I will lead us in prayer. Even if the weapons are not loaded, it is in very bad taste."

They each murmured a prayer to the Almighty and sat staring at the menacing appearance of the weaponry and the guards. Stephen, however, reminded her, "This is part of their statecraft, remember. That devil Moriarty thinks he's the most talented man on the planet, and his regime backs him in that. I have no doubt that this is about face. But...oh look, they're starting."

After a minute, Lavinia breathed out. "This is actually annoying. I hate them but they're really good. This is actually a really fun performance. What in the world are we going to say?"

Stephen laughed. "There's no shame in admitting our enemies have got some skills. It keeps us strong. The Minister is doing a great job. And don't forget, Queen Mara, when she was a princess, did similar things, but it was on a smaller scale. This is rather grand actually. It's impressive. Of course we don't want to imitate these people, but it is the dance choreography, the adaptation of a popular tune to support lyrics and ideas they want, that is impressive."

It was hard for Lavinia not to want to clap and dance, but she suppressed the urge. It would not do to give enemies of SACTO and Imperion the impression that they in any way admired or supported Moriarty's regime in public. Instead, they just clapped politely at the end.

BITC PRESENTS: 66th WORLDVISION SONG CONTEST

Postby Britonisea » Sat Jul 14, 2018 6:31 am

BITC Presents;
Live Coverage of the 66th Edition of the WorldVision Song Contest in Telm City, Britonisea
Your commentators for the evening are Mini Surrey North, who represented Britonisea twice alongside Rigas Jengiz who participated in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2016 and 2017, and came 2nd representing Britonisea at the 51st WorldVision Song Contest.
Broadcast started 19:55 GMT+1.

Rigas Jengiz: Hello and welcome to the 66th WorldVision Song Contest in Telm City, in our wonderful country Britonisea!
Mini Surrey North: I cannot believe believe that it has been nine editions of the WorldVision Song Contest since the 57th WorldVision Song Contest back in Machievelihe - and we are here in Britonisea once again!
Rigas: Tonight we are in for a treat; we have many great performances from many different nations hoping to be the next WorldVision Song Contest champion.
Mini: We also have quite a few debuts, similar to in WorldVision 64, joining the WorldVision trend. Not only do we have debutants, but we have some returning nations too! Titaniumland, Wazekia, Electrum! Just a shout out to the Electrumites watching the broadcast. Don't worry guys, we will serve as your commentators very well tonight!
Rigas: How bloody exciting! Telm City is buzzing, and so are we in the commentary box. Let's speak about Britonisea at this contest though.
Mini: Yeah. Lucie Dagenham was of course supposed to represent Britonisea this edition, but she couldn't in the end due to personal issues.
Rigas: Instead we have the wonderful Kelsey Banques representing Britonisea at WorldVision. This reminds me a lot of WorldVision 57...
Mini: How so?
Rigas: Well, Kelsey has tried to represent Britonisea twice - like Mello - and she finally got her chance on the WorldVision stage. They're both singing a wonderful song too.
Mini: Well, Britonisea has had great success recently, and I know that despite Britonisea hosting the contest, BITC is going to want to keep it up for the nation.
Rigas: I also suspect that many million will be watching the competition, and so we don't want to be coming last or anything.
Mini: Let's hope for a good result. The 66th WorldVision Song Contest is about to start. Telm City is ready to go.... Let's celebrate and capture every moment!

00. Opening Act

Rigas: Well, I really liked that - I really liked the integration of the orchestra the most here. I love how Britonisea always have the orchestra ready and available for anybody to use.
Mini: This took us on a journey you know. BITC are doing things a bit differently here. In the past, we've had some pop bangers or slow starters opening the show - but not this time round.
Rigas: I really enjoyed what was going on, on the stage. It was fantastic seeing all of these flags come together - with the main flag (our flag) being displayed to the world.
Mini: You can see the amount of Britonish flags in the audience being flung about!
Rigas: Now our host, Cole Heiman was actually supposed to be up here with me - but instead we got the wonderful Mini Surrey North!
Mini: Yeah; we also have Frida Grover who won the WorldVision Song Contest only three editions ago.
Rigas: So, you are able to call for who you want to win the WorldVision Song Contest at the end of when all the songs are performed. While we will give you the number throughout, you mustn't vote as your vote doesn't count but you may still be charged.
Mini: Right, the first country to perform in the WorldVision elite, Polkopia!

01. Polkopia

Mini: What a fun and inspiring start for the 66th WorldVision Song Contest - I think that this is a great song for what will be a fantastic show.
Rigas: What's not to love about Polkopia and their WorldVision Song Contest 66 song?
Mini: A theme that we have seen so far is patriotism, which is a fantastic thing in hindsight.
Rigas: I do think that Polkopia could've been a bit more interesting and made it more enjoyable for those sitting at home.
Mini: In the arena it was a party, and I haven't seen that many Polkopian flags in Britonisea before haha!
Rigas: If you'd like to vote for Polkopia at the WV66 - call 0123 4567 8901. You can also vote on the official app at the end of all the songs.
Mini: You know how position #02 has never won before?
Rigas: Yeah?
Mini: Well, I don't think we will be breaking that curse in WV66 as Vartugia is next on the stage!

02. Vartugia

Rigas: Well, I know that last edition, Ardoki managed to come last instead of Vartugia. I think Vartugia wants to come last again.
Mini: I think that as well; I am not sure about this song at all.
Rigas: It is not a bad song, in all honesty. It's just a bit childish, and it doesn't really make any sense what so ever.
Mini: Yeah, weird.
Rigas: But if you at home decided that hmmm you like this song. You can call 0123 4567 8902 - or just vote via the official app.
Mini: But vote right at the end of all the performance.
Rigas: We now moved on to the first of the debuting nations - it's South Batoko!

03. South Batoko

Mini: This entry is definitely an entry from a nation who needs to improve themselves - but this is a great entry to start. Not sure how high it's going to end up, though.
Rigas: Looking at the entry from Polkopia, I don't think that this will be challenging for a spot at the top, but we are maybe looking at the left hand side if they're looking. Place 10 to 20, I would say.
Mini: I mean, it's not bad - that's great - it's just not amazing.
Rigas: I think with a bit of practise from South Batoko, they could become good at this!
Mini: And if you agree with Rigas, call 0123 4567 8903 when lines open!

04. Saintabina

Rigas: This...is certainly something different isn't it. I love the build up to the chorus...and then...the chorus.
Mini: Haha, do go on like you didn't like it - I'll have you know Britonisea, Rigas was twerking up in the commentary room.
Rigas: What, this is a tune - don't lie! And them instruments at the end of the song, slay me. Before the weird water thing at the end.
Mini: I liked his voice, I'll give him that, but it's not really my cup of tea, Rigas.
Rigas: Fair enough, fair enough.
Mini: If you like it like Rigas did, please call 0123 4567 8904! It's time to move on to Todlichebujoku!

05 Todlichebujoku

Mini: How funny is it that Todlichebujoku and Nightom are sending songs that have the same title? When last did that happen? Either way, I think that Todlichebujokis will have problems with the Nightomese, and most likely us because of that.
Rigas: Which of the Turn Back Time songs is going to place higher? Bloody hell, Nightom has got a sprint for their money.
Mini: I know right, this was a pretty good song - wasn't it?
Rigas: Yeah - I enjoyed it. Todlichebujoku should find themselves in the top 10 with this tune - but maybe not...after their disappointing 13th place last edition.
Mini: Mmm, that should've placed way higher.
Rigas: If you liked Todlichebujoku's entry, why not vote for them? We won on their soil and I think they want to win on ours. 0123 4567 8905 please.
Mini: Right, up next is Christarnea!

06. Christarnea

*silence*
Rigas: What a twerk-worthy song haha!
Mini: Gosh, Rigas! I am going to be honest, this wasn't my cup of tea...again. I just didn't like it, really.
Rigas: This song wasn't as fun as the other song, gonna be honest.
Mini: I just...yeah, all I can say is that it's not for me.
Rigas: Ah, you're so negative! Anyway, if you'd like to vote for Christarnea, why don't you give it a vote?
Mini: By calling 0123 4567 8906 - but please don't vote until all acts have sung.
Rigas: Our friends Syrche's next to the stage!

07. Syrche

Mini: This...is nice. It's actually pretty good, I liked it!
Rigas: I thought it was a bit boring in all honesty. I think that we're going to have to agree to disagree here.
Mini: Yeah, indeed we are going to have to.
Rigas: Call 0123 4567 8910 if you like the song from Syrche! Next up is Izmedu!

08. Izmedu

Mini: Are you sure this is Izmedu? Looks a lot like the Kalosian entry in all honesty, so I'm not sure how well that's going to go down.
Rigas: There are a lot of women in this edition's WorldVision Song Contest - I love it so much, POWER TO THE WOMEN!
Mini: This song, though, doesn't float my boat. I think that it is a little bit of a bop, but compared to some of the songs, not sure how much I like this one.
Rigas: I get you. I personally don't have a liking to this genre of songs.
Mini: After a while, I got a bit bored.
Rigas: Yup - but it's Izmedu and they're amazing. It's 0123 4567 8908 - pick up your phones and vote if you liked them.
Mini: It's Ardoki next. How did they react to coming last place?

09. Ardoki

Rigas and Mini: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Mini: This song slays me in so many ways - 12 POINTS TO ARDOKI!
Rigas: I actually think that...dare I say it...it was the best song of the competition so far.
Mini: I mean the actual staging and lyrics are pretty bad, but look at the Britonish audience!
Rigas: They're getting down and dirty, look at all of them haha!
Mini: Ahaha, that was absolutely fantastic, Ardoki! It was great to dance about a bit and have fun! I mean sure, it was forced...but oh well.
Rigas: It's 0123 4567 8909 for Ardoki!
Mini: It's Adab next!

10. Adab

Mini: Not going to lie, but it was a big surprise that Adab actually placed in the top 3 last edition - it's such a big change to how they used to do. I am actually proud of Adab.
Rigas: This entry kinda reminds me of their old entries, and I'm not too sure how the international community will take this.
Mini: I quite like it, it's a great calm-down song after that absolute madness from Ardoki.
Rigas: Haha, I agree.
Mini: I also like the staging - she is a great crawler, isn't she?
Rigas: Yeah, I agree. I agree.
Mini: If you'd like to vote for Adab, please call 0123 4567 8910! Up next is Nekoni - who hosted the 64th WorldVision Song Contest.

11. Nekoni

Mini: Well, that's a nice little song, isn't it?
Rigas: I personally like the little French choruses. If anything, that sold me! I think that this song is pretty good.
Mini: Though this is not the only song that sounds like this. We have other nations sending male ballads...and well...ballads.
Rigas: Do I rate the chances? Nekoni has been doing very well recently, so I do.
Mini: I liked it. But just liked it.
Rigas: If you liked Nekoni's piece, call 0123 4567 8911! Up next, returning to Britonisea and WorldVision, it's Electrum!
Mini: I would also like to say good luck to the Electrumites watching our show!

12. Electrum

Rigas: We are twelve songs in and this...this is probably my favourite song so far! I mean, strong contenders are Polkopia, obviously. But this song is just...a bit crazy! This song takes me to the clubs in North Telm City, whining up along the guy you like.
Mini: Even if the song is about the summertime blues?
Rigas: Still, yeah! It's a very whine-worthy song!
Mini: I mean, I can't really like to you, I was whining to this song just now.
Rigas: Really good entry by Electrum. If you would like to vote for Electrum, call 0123 4567 8912!
Mini: It is the Electrum Diplomatic Offices up next!

13. Electrum Diplomatic Offices

Mini: Well, it's certainly great to see the amazing Gertrude back after she had a long time off - and what an honour it is for Electrum Diplomatic Offices to be returning in Telm City!
Rigas: Telm City is really have their evening tonight - aren't they?
Mini: Right - the song. I am not too sure about this one, Rigas. I don't really like how it sounds...it's a bit boring, wouldn't you argue?
Rigas: It is a bit boring, yeah. I was kinda happy that it was over, in all honesty. Is that bad?
Mini: At least EDO tried.
Rigas: If you liked the song from EDO, please call 0123 4567 8913. Up next is Proluvia!

14. Proluvia

Rigas: Well, this is not really my type of music in all honesty.
Mini: Yeah, I didn't like this performance. I am more of a pop person anyway, so that's probably why I didn't like it that much.
Rigas: Proluvia has not been doing fantastically, finishing quite lowly. With over 30 participants this time 'round, I do not think that Proluvia will be coming out of the bottom 10...or the right handside.
Mini: I don't see that either, but if you disagree with us, please call 0123 4567 8914.

15. Indo States

Rigas: Well, that was certainly a performance...Wasn't it.
Mini: Yeah, it's going to take them ages to win the contest at this rate, but you know what?
Rigas: What?
Mini: I can see a bit of potential here, I am not going to lie. I think that Indo States could do well at the next few WorldVision Song Contests.
Rigas: Maybe. Don't know what you see, but okay.
Mini: If you can see the potential, vote for Indo States and call 0123 4567 8915 when all nations have sung!

Mini: Right, I think we are at the half way point - maybe a tiny bit early for it to be called the half-way point but oh well.
Rigas: Cole Heiman and Frida Grover are of course speaking about the fact that it was our national holiday only yesterday and that there is still things left to celebrate.
Mini: I agree, there are still things to celebrate, including this WorldVision.
Rigas: And the fact that Britonisea is next to perform on this wonderful stage that was built for this occasion!
Mini: Let's go!

16. Britonisea

Rigas: What an incredibly sung performance by the up and rising performer Kelsey Banques! She has done her country very proud with that performance.
Mini: I mean, looking at all of the times we have hosted - we had a ballad by Mya Richardson in '41 which went down a storm. I wasn't sure it wasn't going to do well.
Rigas: Yeah, and then at '51 you had mean singing a quite upbeat song. '57 you had a quite mellow song (get it!) and this edition we return back to our ballad ways.
Mini: All I am saying is that this is only good for Britonisea, but I think regardless of the result we will get at the end of the night, we can be uber proud of it.
Rigas: Ah, I loved that performance, gah!

17. Raffiah

Mini: This a very heavy song, isn't it? I think this song is very Marmite, but Britonisea did rank this the highest of all of the songs in their national final albeit it was different in terms of lyrics.
Rigas: I mean, if I had to choose between our own and Raffiah...Seriously though, this could go either way! I'm not sure about this one.
Mini: I agree, it reminds me of the song we were supposed to send to WorldVision! Imagine if we had sent that song? That would've been disastrous, wouldn't it?
Rigas: I like Alexandra though, and I think she will do well at this WorldVision.
Mini: If you agree, call 0123 4567 8917!!!! We are now heading south to Mercedini!

18. Mercedini

Rigas: I really appreciate the band members saying Brityunik, and as you can tell by the applause of the audience, they loved it too.
Mini: Yeah, the applause is just as loud as what Britonisea received. I do think that there's probably a large contingent from Mercedini. Either way, the loud applause is justified and deserved.
Rigas: It was a good song, wasn't it? Britonisea's song is followed by two pretty good songs. We have officially entered a pool of good entries.
Mini: I know, how exciting is this?! Who is going to be the luckiest from these entries? I don't know.
Rigas: If you would like to vote for Mercedini, call 0123 4567 8918, vote via the app - but only at the end of all performances.
Mini: Next up is Antahbrantahstan, who are hoping to spice it up!

19. Antahbrantahstan

Mini: This is possibly a dig at Britonisea, you know!
Rigas: Why?
Mini: Because our nation is full of basic people! In all seriousness, I did prefer their entry last edition, but this entry is pretty good, and fun! Maybe Antahbrantahstan just needs a song that will stick out a lot.
Rigas: Do you think that this song sticks out from the rest?
Mini: I think it does, yeah. Though, I am not sure if it sticks out a lot. I like the entry...but...I am not sure about how high it will finish.
Rigas: Antahbrantahstan is in desperate need of a points injection though. If you'd like to vote for Antahbrantahstan, please call 0123 4567 8919.
Mini: We are now going to Axuva, song number 20!

20. Axuva

Rigas: Well that was quite the sultry performance from debutants, Axuva? What did you think of it?
Mini: It was alright, it will finish mid-table, I think. I think after all of those entries, it could hurt this songs chances.
Rigas: I get you, it's not a bad entry by all means. But it just seems a bit...like a sudden...huh...after those entries.
Mini: Yeah. Well either way, it's a good start for Axuva!
Rigas: If you'd like to vote for Axuva, please call 0123 4567 8920 when the lines open! We are now going over to Titaniumland, who are returning to the contest after some long ass break!
Mini: The last time they participated was in Machievelihe, Britonisea actually. Nations are returning for Britonisea, man!
Rigas: We all love a bit of Britonisea.

21. Titaniumland

Rigas: Well it's nice to have Titaniumland back in the contest; I have personally really missed them! They used to send some real bangers back in the day.
Mini: I think that Titaniumland needs to start participating regularly again, as I feel as though this is only an ounce of what they could really send.
Rigas: Yeah, I agree. I still remember when they hosted all those editions again. I mean, it's nearing 30 editions since they first hosted...I'd love to go back to Titaniumland again.
Mini: The song, though, is alright. It doesn't have too much thrill to it. It's really earthy, I think.
Rigas: I like the fact that the instruments sound real. Not any of this synthetic...blah blah.
Mini: Yeah. If you like the song from Titaniumland, please call 0123 4567 8921. Right, we are now going to The Authoritarian Republic of Lochario!

22. The Authoritarian Republic of Lochario

Mini: Well, this was a fantastic song sent back Lochario, in my opinion. I think this song isn't bad whatsoever...but there is a problem.
Rigas: Why would you have simplistic staging to a song which could be raised higher with different things happening. WorldVision isn't just a song contest, eventhough in the title it says it is.
Mini: Yeah, I agree. It's much more than just a song contest. They're missing out the staging element, and making their performance visually interesting.
Rigas: Regardless, it's a good entry from The Authoritarian Republic.
Mini: If you'd like to vote for Lochario, call 0123 4567 8922 when the lines open at the end of the performances.
Rigas: We are literally on the home straight! We are 23 songs in and we have around 10 entries left! Up next is Nightom with the second of the "Turn Back Time" entries.

23. Nightom

Mini: Now, I thought that this was a beautiful entry from Nightom. I do think that this song will not place that highly, though.
Rigas: We all know that Nightom has had a rollercoaster when it comes to how well their entries do.
Mini: 15th in 45, 1st in 55, 16th last edition. I am not sure how this will place, but I think KVC are hoping that this will go up.
Rigas: It might, it's a cute little song. Nekoni also has a cute little song by a male too. I fear it'll be in the 15th to 25th bracket. Let's hope for better.
Mini: If you think Nightom should win the contest, vote 0123 4567 8923!
Rigas: It's now the turn of Mister X. The nation had sent their first female and now they're sending somebody from - what they refer to as - their BAME population. For the first time ever.
Mini: Interesting.

24. Mister X

Rigas: It's a jumpy little song, isn't it? Though, if you close your eyes and just listen to the song, it feels like you've got some water in your ears.
Mini: I get what you mean - I do think that if feels like this song has been somewhat diluted. It could've been a lot stronger.
Rigas: With that being said, I do think that Danny has done pretty well singing through the song and Mister X has seriously improved in the staging department.
Mini: Well, Mister X has been doing pretty well recently. I think that this song is pretty good and should give them a decent placing.
Rigas: If you'd like to vote for Mister X, please call 0123 4567 8924 when all acts have performed.
Mini: Wazekia returns to a Britonish WorldVision! Huzzah!

25. Wazekia

Mini: Well that song seems highly familiar, but it's probably because of the actual instrumentation. The song is a bop, admit it.
Rigas: It is a bop, but the question is...how will the wider community respond to this song by Wazekia. Also, did we expect this from Wazekia?
Mini: No.
Rigas: So maybe that will give them a few more points.
Mini: Perhaps. If you'd like to vote for Wazekia. Add 25 to the number! Up next is Wolfrenia!

26. Wolfrenia

Mini: Well, this reminds me a lot of Lochario's entry because...there's not really a lot a lot going on. I mean, the song is good though.
Rigas: Yeah, the song is pretty good. It reminds me of what kind of song you would sing, Mini!
Mini: I was thinking more you. But still, it's a song we'd both probably sing. I do think Wolfrenia could have made this song much better.
Rigas: I have to agree with you - I am not sure about this entry.
Mini: Well, we will see how high it places, but I think we are looking at the right-hand side. Bare in mind, over 32 entries are participating this edition, so you don't want to be on the right at all.
Rigas: To think that coming at the top of right-hand this edition is two spaces from last place in WorldVision 62...
Mini: I know. There's been a sudden increase in entries since 62.
Rigas: If you would like to vote for Wolfrenia, please call 0123 4567 8926.
Mini: It's the Federation of Kendor next on the stage!

27. Kendor

Mini: Okay. So This is not my kind of thing. The instrumental sounds like a dog is being tortured in the background.
Rigas: I concur. There's something seriously wrong with the aura of this song. I am a bit weirder out by the entry from Kendor, haha.
Mini: Although, this nation has wanted to join WorldVision for a very long time, and I am happy to see Kendor finally here!
Rigas: And at least there's something going on with the staging, so I guess the performance as a whole isn't...that bad?
Mini: Basically, yeah. If you'd like to vote for Kendor, please call 0123 4567 8927!
Rigas: Lines will open once all acts have performed, and guess what? We still have loads of entries left to perform!
Mini: Next on the stage is Zitvargrad!

28. Zitravgrad

Rigas: What a handsome ma- boy. Yeah, when he started singing, I was a bit stunned by his voice. I didn't expect that to come out of his body.
Mini: I think it's a cute song, inoffensive though.
Rigas: It doesn't scream "We are out to win", does it? It rather screams, "We want to have a stroll through the park with you."
Mini: WorldVision is ruthless. As I said earlier, many nations are participating this time round, and they're all wanting to keep out of the bottom...20 or so. Again, a pretty good song for a debutant.
Rigas: Indeed. If you liked the song from Zitravgrad, its 0123 4567 8928!
Mini: It's Normandy and Picardy next, last edition's host. Apparently people were angry the nation spent so much money last edition.
Rigas: Well, let's see how they do here.

29. Normandy and Picardy

Mini: I am in two minds about this entry. I like the staging and what's happening a lot. But I just don't connect with the song whatsoever.
Rigas: I get what you mean. The song is just a tad too heavy for me to like. It's not really my cup of tea.
Mini: I like this country a lot though.
Rigas: They have won 3 times in total, with their last win being in...54.
Mini: Yeah, 12 editions...hmmm.
Rigas: It's funny how you think some big hitters such as Normandy and Picardy, Todlichebujoku and Britonisea are always winning, but Todlichebujoku hasn't won for 10 editions, Normandy for 12, and a few editions ago, we hadn't won for 16 editions. Even Polkopia, they've waited 16 editions...
Mini: Yeah. 0123 4567 8929 for Neuram de Pica. It's Togonistan next.

30. Togonistan

Mini: You know what? I didn't think I would like this song when it started. However, as we got more and more into the song...it actually isn't that bad.
Rigas: I was jamming right along to the song from when it began. That being said, I found that it was the same throughout, so while I was jamming, I was just...jamming.
Mini: Mareta Ioane is so beautiful, isn't she? Doing her thing on the stage.
Rigas: Amen sister.
Mini: If you'd like to vote for our brothers, Togonistan, it's 0123 4567 8930.
Rigas: This is something I haven't said ever. Our thirty first performer is...
Mini: Bloody hell! It's gone by quick innit? Our 31st performer is Bloodbath Generation!
Rigas: They're back!

31. Bloodbath Generation

Mini: If you weren't aware, on the stage they had LGBTQ, women of color senior citizens, young men and women on the stage.
Rigas: This song is about freedom. Which, to be honest, actually spoils the interval act which is about freedom. So, to be honest...I am comparing it to that song.
Mini: Oh, and buy Frida Grover's interval act song, "This Is Freedom", available on multiple platforms. Carry on.
Rigas: I liked this song, but it just was okay -if you know what I mean.
Mini: I get exactly what you mean. It was just fine.
Rigas: I remember when Britonisea sent a large delegation to WorldVision. Janet Kraye and the Kids of 6B. It reminds me of that. You know, since WV40, we have only sent solo artists - you and I included. WorldVision 46 technically does count since it was sung by only one person...not two.
Mini: Interesting. Even thinking about Vha Mehlodhivestoile, groups don't get far. I don't like casts etc, so I'm not sure how Britonisea will react. And well, Electrum, not sure if you're going to like this or not. It's 0123 4567 8931.
Rigas: It's Saviera next!

32. Saviera

Mini: Wow! What a very haunting song from Saviera - I actually liked this entry from Saviera!
Rigas: I agree! This entry was what we needed. Everybody watching was just fixated on the stage.
Mini: I would be surprised if this entry doesn't make the top 15 - it's a really good song!
Rigas: I'm surprised that came from Saviera.
Mini: It's a very sad song. I kinda shed a tear...
Rigas: Here you go babes, here's a tissue.
Mini: Oh thanks *sobs*
Rigas: Alright it's 0123 4567 8932 for Saviera. Next up is Merecendi.

33. Merecendi-

Rigas: I am...ugh...I don't understand what's going on?
Mini: Me neither. I think we should just move on in all honesty.
Rigas: Yeah, if you'd like to vote for Merecendi-, it's 0123 4567 8933.
Mini: Indeed.
Rigas: Up next is...Kalosia! I'm looking forward to this one.

34. Kalosia

Mini: Rushmori love? Yeah, they obviously were looking in the wrong place, am I right?!
Rigas: Indeed. In terms of the song...it was alright. I know that Kalosia likes this type of song. It's very saccharine.
Mini: Yup, I think too happy for me.
Rigas: It's honestly one of the weird entries tonight. I just find the whole thing a bit odd.
Mini: Britonisea might vote for this. It depends on the overall mood of Britons. Since we are in a good mood, this might be able to squeeze some points from us.
Rigas: Well, only time will tell! If you liked this entry, it's 0123 4567 8934!
Mini: Are we done!?
Rigas: No!

35. Ethane

Mini: That was an absolutely amazing song, wasn't it!?
Rigas: Yeah, I really did enjoy it - I think that it's deserving of a very high placing!
Mini: Defo, breaking that top 5 boundary!
Rigas: So perfect, wasn't it?
Mini: Yes!
Rigas: If you agree, please call 0123 456 7835!

Rigas: And there you have it guys! A huge 35 entries at the 66th WorldVision Song Contest - the voting is set to be a very intense one!
Mini: Yeah. When I participated back in '35, we had 39 entries there. I am surprised with the sudden increase of the amount of participating nations!
Rigas: Everyone wants a bit of Brit!
Mini: Let's such up now and here what our beautiful hosts, Cole and Frida have got to say.

Poet Ann's Reaction:
Woah, Great. I Will Choose Maria here.

#23 NIGHTOM
Louka Elliot- "Turn Back Time"
Tune : Nathan Sykes- "Over And Over Again (Official Video)"
Music: Louka Elliot Lyrics: Louka Elliot

Image
Louka Elliot: Nightom beat Estogium and Aloquirbe past the Cross Border Battle thanks to the final voter.

Nightom is returning to the WorldVision Song Contest for the 4th time since their debut at the 45th WorldVision Song Contest with the song, "Turn Back Time" by Louka Elliot.

In what is set to be Nightom's last participation at the WorldVision Song Contest (at least for a couple of editions), Nightom had to fight for their position through what was known as the Cross Border Battle 2018. There, four nations fought for two places and Nightom was one of the two victors (with the host nation being the other victor). Nightom's win meant that this would be the first time that Nightom would be participating outside of their usual pattern [45, 55, 65], and they are hoping that this leap of faith will pay off with their youngest ever representative, Louka Elliot.

Louka Elliot is an eighteen year old boy who has scored a position on the biggest stage in the multiverse - the WorldVision Song Contest.

At the start of the song, the whole stage was dark apart from Louka Elliot who stood in the middle of the stage alone. He had his hands over the microphone and the microphone stand, slowly coming in along with the backing of the song. He wore a black leather jacket - though nothing too fancy. He wore a white t-shirt underneath it and black jeans which well suited his jacket. As the music started, a steadicam swirled around Louka, though he pretended that it wasn't there - he was too invested in the song he was singing;

Ahhheee, Aheeee
Ahhheee, Aheeee
Ahhheee, Aheeee

Always thought 'bout you, every night and day
I regret not holding you for longer.
You were number one, the one I loved.
I couldn't wait for what lied ahead.

The lighting during the verse and the pre-chorus remained the same. With a single spotlight on Louka as he sang. He didn't really move around that much either - just singing out in to the big audience he had out there. He looked sad when he sang, which tore a few heartstrings in the audience. The steadicam slowly made it's way off the stage before a mid shot carried on being focused on Louka. The camera was slowly zooming in to his face, analysing his facial expressions as he continued with the pre-chorus;

And what came to be, wasn't ideal.
Oh you hurt me, oh I- I wish I could turn back time.

Louka closed his eyes as soon as the pre-chorus finished, taking in a large breath visible by those who were watching the television. He then belted out the first line of the chorus The camera slowly moved outwards as the chorus came up. At the back, other spot lights slowly filled the stage making it look as though more was happening on the stage - though, it was still him. Half way through the chorus, there was a shot off all of the lights in the arena, with some Nightom fans happily flying their flag. The camera faded out on that shot and focused on Louka again.

My heart is now weakening,
Without you, I just can’t breathe.
Just forget ‘bout you? Well, I have tried to.
I wish I could turn back time.
There’s many things that I would do,
To make sure that I won’t hurt you,
But I’ve had my chance, I do get that-
I wish I could turn back time.

Ahhheee, Aheeee
Ahhheee, Aheeee

I wish I could turn back time.

Louka Elliot took the microphone off of the stand and proceeded to walk over to another spotlight on the stage. The camera had reached the spotlight before Louka did, and for a split second it seemed as though that was a random shot. As soon as Louka started singing, however, he appeared with a sad sorrowful face. His head was faced downwards, making you feel really sorry for the boy.

I saw you with him,
And it broke my heart.
I understand what I did was bad but-
But I don't deserve all of this pain
I know that this is only revenge...

And what came to be, wasn't ideal.
Oh you hurt me, oh I- I wish I could turn back time.

Louka carried on singing as the spotlight that was once on him slowly lost it's intensity, plunging him in to darkness. The camera then cut to the next shot, a wide shot of the whole arena. Louka moved towards the edge of the stage and stood there. Another spotlight turned on, shining down on him.

My heart is now weakening, (my heart)
Without you, I just can’t breathe. (Can't breathe)
Just forget ‘bout you? Well, I have tried to.
I wish I could turn back time.
There’s many things that I would do,
To make sure that I won’t hurt you,
But I’ve had my chance, I do get that-
I wish I could turn back time.

The boy put his hand to heart when singing about it. He looked in to a microphone that was zooming in from his full body to just his face.

Ahhheee, Ahhheee
I wish I could turn back
Ahhheee, Aheeee

I know what I did might have broke your trust,
But I only had good intentions - oh!
Don't leave me, don't leave, do not break my heart!
I want you...
I wish I could turn back time!

He sang beautifully the last sentence of the bridge section as the camera quickly zoomed out to notice snow falling from the top of the arena. The audience screeched with glee, and the audience at home could understand why as the camera zoomed in again. He had taken the microphone off the stand, standing on the edge of the stage - singing with power and passion.

At the end of the performance, the audience all the stood up for Louka Elliot and his very sweet song. He waved out in to the Britonish audience before speaking in to his microphone. "Thank you, Britonisea", the audience cheered loudly for the Nightomiton, "Thank you Telm City and good night!" The camera then cut to the postcard of the next performance from Mister X.

24 MISTER X

Danny Alonso - "Defined"
Tune: Union J - "Alive"

Image

Danny Alonso is a new entry into the Mister Xian WorldVision repertoire and is the first BAME person to represent Mister X at the WorldVision Song Contest. The international media were determined to turn this into a "has it really taken them this long? Mister X are racist" spin, but Alonso was determined not to let this get to him. Additionally, he had to shield off more hostile questioning from a more racist element of the international press, asking whether a surname like "Alonso" should really be representing Mister X. Danny Alonso, slightly offended by this episode, said that "Mister X's attitude to social policy is "don't give a damn", so I feel really welcome in Mister X because no one has made anything out of my skin colour as you lot seem intent on doing. As I say in my song, I won't let you define me. I am my own man. Black, white, brown, yellow, what does it matter? We're one and the same on skin colour, on sexuality, on sex, on gender, on all of these things. In Mister X this approach has been seen. And it's something we should adopt in the multiverse."

So Danny took to the WorldVision stage in Britonisea with the support of social activism on his side. He was wearing jeans, a white T-shirt, and a black leather jacket hung open over the top. He stands on the top step of a diamond-shaped series of steps, with a step down either side followed by a further step down at the front (like in this video) and a lonely pianist plays on the audience's left. The LED panels have been moved to the back of the stage and treated as one, with a constant film (known as a "living hold", i.e. an indefinitely repeated piece of film) that features a black cloth and no more, with a small amount of wind moving along it thereby creating a beautiful black moving image, with the folds of light and creases being shown occasionally. There is some light, but not a lot. Danny starts with his face looking down at his shoes. He looks up and sings solemnly, as the camera tightens the close-up shot before cutting to a close-up shot from the left, then a shot of the pianist, then a shot of the right, then finally back to the centre.

I've been thinking of my ways
And what others will say
I'm unliked, friendless, no one thinks that I'm kind and nice
And all the people say to me
Who they want me to be
Is not who I am but
Yeah, bitches, this is me

More lights gradually go up in a subtle blue motif as the camera cuts to a full-length shot as Danny places his right foot in front of his left and moves towards his right, taking a step downwards onto the middle platform, then another step to his left onto the lowest platform. He then takes a third step and this step is forward. He stares into the camera, which has cut back to the front-on close-up for the first line, but then the camera cuts to a from-behind shot for the next line, then a shot from the right for the third line, then one from the left for the fourth line, followed by a long wide panning shot from right to left for the next two lines, before a super close-up on Danny's face for the final two lines. He sings forlornly but this switches to determinedly from the fifth line onwards.

Baby, when you thought of me
You thought of hate and vices
I'm staring at the rain
My only friend's my teddy
But I will pick me up
And I won't ever let go
'Cause I won't ever let me be defined
And baby, I was on your mind

A light show follows with strobing as Danny makes some movements in time to the music as the camera displays some high angles. The effect is somewhat awe-inspiring, and the backdrop changes to flashing pulses of light blue. The audience are dazed and amazed as the arena turns into a flashing pulsation of light blue.

And baby, I was on your mind
'Cause I won't ever let me be defined
And baby, I was on your mind

All of the lights go out temporarily. Then, a small fade in occurs on the camera with a soft crash zoom on Danny's upper half, and he signs more determinedly with his head higher up, and the backdrop changes back to the living hold of the black cloth that was shown in the first verse. Different camera angles are chosen for the second verse in order to make a vain attempt at differentiation between the first and second verses to stop the audience, both in the arena and around the multiverse, from thinking they're watching the same thing. During this second verse, some people walk onto the stage from either side and stand equidistant from each other behind Danny, both in terms of rows and columns, creating a pattern where they're in a sort of "grid". The camera for the second half of the second verse changes to a long shot from the back of the arena which pans slowly across, the direction becoming less flash as time goes on.

Baby, you can drag me down
But I'll keep standing strong
Nothing else will stop me
Now I'm gone and on my own
You hate my viceful ways
And none of my desires
Baby, I don't miss those days
When you'd put out my fires

Danny closes his eyes temporarily so a camera can focus on his left eye in super close-up so that nothing else but his eye is in the frame. Just before the second pre-chorus, he opens it, creating an arty shot that is not dissimilar from something out of a drama programme. Some members of the audience are reminded of Revelation of the Daleks, a Doctor Who serial (which is shown in Mister X, explaining how some members of the audience know it) where the eye of a human being turned into a Dalek opens dramatically.

Screencap of the Mister Xian performance.

Baby, when you thought of me
You thought of hate and vices
I'm staring at the rain
My only friend's my teddy
But I will pick me up
And I won't ever let go
'Cause I won't ever let me be defined
And baby, I was on your mind

And this time, not only does Danny move along with the strobing, back wall, and assorted camerawork, but so does all the dancers, all moving semi-choreographed, somewhat spontaneously. The camera focuses more on the dancers during this section.

And baby, I was on your mind

Baby, when you thought of me...

Everything seems to stop and go into slow motion. Danny and the dancers all move in slow motion whilst the pianist continues as though nothing has happened. The lights stop strobing but maintain the blue motif, but the backwall changes back to its cloth. The direction becomes slower and flatter do, with long slow camera angles from wide positions.

Baby, when you thought of me...
And baby, I was on your mind... (oh, oh)
'Cause I won't ever let me be defined
And baby, I was on your mind

And then everybody returns to dancing once more. The lights strobe. The dancers move. Danny sings.

And baby, I was on your mind
'Cause I won't ever let me be defined
And baby, I was on your mind

And suddenly everyone stops and the final camera shot is one of Danny, pulling out slowly.

The audience applaud.

Vicaletta - "Above"
Tune: Ivi Adamou - La La Love

Vicaletta had wrote the song herself over the course of a night. She had been thinking about a the start of a previous relationship and remembered the sensation just starting to be in love with someone, feeling both strong as steel and as light as air.

A-a a-a-a-a-a-a a-a-a-a-a above
A-a a-a-a-a-a-a a-a-a-a-a above

My heart is feeling like it's in fli-i-ight
Soaring through the air of the ni-i-ight
When you appear, the sky is clear
Let's go and soar

We're flying high, just you and I-I-I
Just take my hand and we own the sky-y-y
The weather's fair, we'll go everywhere
Let's fly and go!

Oh oh oh it's like a reverie, when you're holding me, all night
Oh oh oh it's like a reverie, when you look at me, look at me

You lift me out of the abyss
and take me a-a a-a-a-a-a-a a-a-a-a-a above
I'm flying in pure bliss
when I'm a-a a-a-a-a-a-a a-a-a-a-a above

Leave our cares behind and take fli-i-ight
together forever in the sky-y-y
We'll leave here and disappear
never let me go!

We won't descend! We'll only ascend!
One heart and soul

Oh oh oh it's like a reverie, when you're holding me, all night
Oh oh oh it's like a reverie, when you look at me, look at me

You lift me out of the abyss
and take me a-a a-a-a-a-a-a a-a-a-a-a above
I'm flying in pure bliss
when I'm a-a a-a-a-a-a-a a-a-a-a-a above

(music plays)
The weather's fair, we'll go everywhere.

Oh oh oh it's like a reverie, when you're holding me all night
Oh oh oh it's like a reverie, when you look at me, look at me

You lift me out of the abyss
and take me a-a a-a-a-a-a-a a-a-a-a-a above
I'm flying in pure bliss
when I'm a-a a-a-a-a-a-a a-a-a-a-a above

You lift me out of the abyss

27 - Kendor

Unconventional Symphony - Frankenlyric

Tune: Boards of Canada - Gyroscope

Chris Wayne never expected to be in the WorldVision contest. He and his band joined the 28th Unconventional Song Festival on Kendor, where his band received the most point with their song, Frankenlyric. To his surprise, this put them on WorldVision, something which was considered very prestigious. However, he was also very happy at that news.

As for a little backstory on the band, Unconventional Symphony was formed 8 years ago, when Chris was 18. He always liked unusual songs and arts, and he was talented at music. He had five friends who also had the talent and shared his interest at music. They then joined together to form Unconventional Symphony. They first started with street performances as they studied at university, which made them an underground music fame. Then, after four years of studying, he graduated with a degree at music. The band finally made full time performances, and their unusual songs and eccentric performances made them a favourite with people.

The audience was informed of the Kendorian performance being next after the previous nation's performance. They were now waiting, as the band, Unconventional Symphony, was preparing behind the scenes, setting up their performance and talking about their plans for the performance.

Meanwhile, the TV crews were reporting and broadcasting live about the event. The event would be known as one of the most unusual musical performance ever done in history, especially with the fact that the band was unconventional and that they had also said in the interview on their entry to World Vision that their performance would, in their word, be a "weird and overdone art". Then, after some minutes, they were ready.

Soon, the stage became dark, as the band members walked to the stage, covering themselves in a black sheet of fabric. Then, one of the band members, the band leader Chris Wayne, threw the fabric away, to reveal himself and the five other members of the band.

The band members were wearing vintage clothing from the 60's-80's, with weird and colorful hairstyles, as well as expensive glowing accessories, made from bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Finally, they all wore sunglasses. Then, the music of the instrumental started to play, as the screen showed a colorful portal of kaleidoscopic and fractal landscape.

The band members then started singing the lyrics, taken from a (OOC: fictional) song called "Wonderful Insanity", while performing various dance moves:

Eccentricity, great!
Eccentricity, great!
It's wonderful!
It's wonderful

The scene on the screen then shift into the picture of a nebula, with the band members continuing in their singing, singing the lyrics from a song called "Space 'Ventures", while they performed poses based off Men in Black:

Ah, space.
It's a wonderful expanse
Adventure, and weirdness
A land of endless fun.

As they were singing that part of the lyric, the audiences can notice that one of the band members were intentionally lip syncing, two other were humming to the tune, and the rest, including the band's leader, Chris, were singing.

Then, they moved on to the next part. They sing the first half with "King of the World", and then the second half with "Remember Me". As for the members, all of them were now singing, and the background changed into a man standing in a cliff, during a sunset, while the band members outstretched their arms up:

I'm the King of the World
I'm the King of the World
Remember me
Remember me
Remember me

Then, the background shifted into that of musical notes crashing into each other, disrupting them as the notes became increasingly chaotic. The band members then danced again, in a chaotic style, with their singing reflecting their current style. They then sing a song they previously made, called "Frankenstein of Music":

Frankenstein of Music
He's chaotic
He's so messy
That his musics
Are chaotic

He's eccentric
He loves experiments
His songs are so weird
But he's famed
'cause he's so weird

Then, there was a period of the song's tunes playing only, without the band members singing. They were simply standing and bowing their head down instead. Meanwhile, the screen behind them faded to black. Then, near the end, the screen shows a wonderful scenery of mountains, which, from what the picture showed, was portrayed from a high place. The band members then sung the final part, this time with original lyrics.

Frankenlyric, so captivating
Weird and wonderful journey
Now for the end
Good bye, everyone.

The screen faded to black for the final time, with the band members standing up and walking away from the stage, covering themselves in the black cloth that had hidden all of them at the beginning of the performance.

Adab

Maria Zorei's opening part of her performance left the two Edomites uneasy. After the disturbing appearance of the Ardokians, they were wary of a possible problem with the power, or with some terrorist attack. But as the music began, they both exhaled slowly.

"This is very peaceful music," said Stephen Pahath-Moab. "But the lyrics make me rather uneasy."

"Well it is love music, to be sure, and very passionate. The poetry of the lyrics are bittersweet, and the melody is beautiful."

"I agree. The best thing about it is the melody and her actual performance,a s though she is a mourning swan." Stephen said thoughtfully.

"But as to the lyrics, I think their meaning is clear: a love affair must end. I feel that it is sad but depicts a sad necessity." Lavinia finallysaid with a smile."Throwing the flowers is a nice gesture."

Electrum Diplomatic Offices

"What was that exclaimed Lavinia.

"I don't know. The rhythm was very good actually. Catchy. If the lyrics were better it would have been a real foot tapper. But that is one strange old lady. The world is a very strange place," said Stephen Pahath-Moab, shaking his head. "Very repetitive."

"Do you think that she really is a cult leader, and tried to cast some kind of spell on us?" said Lavinia.

The two looked at one another, then crossed themselves.

Indo States

"How distasteful. What a slavic mess," said Stephen.

"I agree, I did not care for that. A lot of foreign gibberish, and aimless running around." said Lavinia with distaste.

"Let us hope that the next performance is better." agreed Stephen.

Britonisea

The two Edomites were generally pleased with the performance, noticing with interest that the native crowd really expressed admiration and joy at the arrival of Kelsey Banques. The song was a popular style in many out of Region places, what was called the 'pop ballad' approach, and it seemed to really inspire people.

"You notice that she did little," said Stephen as the applause was dying down. "Yet people were very enthusiastic."

"She uses her beauty to good advantage, and subtly." Lavinia sounded approving. "She created both a natural and yet a stage show appearance, and she used her charisma well to dominate the stage. Her gentleness belies her power. This seems a gift. I think I enjoyed this performance."

"A lot of women singing about captivation and love and broken hearts tonight," sighed Stephen.

"Not really, I find in this case it is about a woman discovering a sense of her own strength and power, so as the words approach their climax, the lights and the fire and wind grow in strength, as her awareness of her strength and freedom grows," observed Lavinia.

Stephen quirked a smile."Don't go native on me with that feminist claptrap." He looked thoughtful. "Still, very impressive indeed in terms of the stage show...."

Raffiah

'This is somewhat similar to the last piece, just more percussion," sighed Stephen. "Pretty lady though."

"It does bear similarity, but it is actually quite different," said Lavinia."The style's are similar that is all. But it hints at a wicked seduction, a person deceived and uncertain yet full of desire."

"The stage show and performance are what interest me," said Stephen, looking on sourly.

"It does make one self conscious, so many of these foreign love songs are so suggestive," sighed Lavinia."I almost feel like I will have to go to confession after this."

"The stage work is impressive really," said Stephen. "She makes it look easy to rush around the stage, projecting herself to the crowd like that."

"You're clapping, I thought you didn't like it!" exclaimed Lavinia.

"Well, she is pretty," he said with a grin.

Mercedini

The Edomites found Mariska Tulang's performance more to their liking, and began clapping, and Lavinia got up and danced to the music, but this sort of popular music was more common in their country, more familiar. The percussion was persuasive and compelling.

"Oh gosh!" cried Lavinia when the performer threw her jacket off, stretching her arms to catch it but missing. "Oh darn! Do you think she's going to take the rest off?"

"I doubt it, there are no Edenists here my friend, but still, a generous gesture, to share her clothing!" Stephen said with a smile. "She seems like a nice lady."

"Those men are nicely oiled up, it reminds me of the Monarchical birthday with the men wrestling and doing contests of strength," Lavinia exclaimed. "Will they wrestle?"

"I think they will just dance," said Stephen.

When it was done they clapped with enthusiasm like the others in the audience who liked it. Stephen observed, "You know, my dear Lavinia, I think that was lovely but it is something we do ourselves, this dancing and enthusiasm. it is good to know it would be popular abroad."

Lavinia was flushed and happy. "Yes, that was awfully fun." She felt sad for him, that with his damaged legs he could not dance, and she sat beside him and sought to take his hand, but then withdrew it. They were not a married couple nor kin, and it would not have been proper.

Anatoli Joseyevich Diebitsch - Providenska Sunset (Tune)

Image

Known inside the country as one of the best singers of the post-Revolution Era, Anatoli Joseyevich Diebitsch is a young man with a taste for classic songs and military marches. Ever-present in state parades and Midsummer public concerts, Anatoli is no stranger to large performances. But WorldVision is a challenge to him. Not only is the event international, the music also seems to indulge in a wide range of variety, and yet our comrade is still a world away from the most contestants. In a good way or no -- he will find out.

Providenska Sunset is a late 60s classic, the kind of music he found in his father's old cassette and had come to love after hearing it on loop for many, many years. The song itself is already powerful -- it reminds Providenskians of home and good memories, of warm summer nights and snowy winter days. This song is on top upon the shrine of Zitravgradian classic. No one can beat the original, sung by Vladimir Zakat in 1967. But Anatoli has made his mind and takes this song to the next step by creating an English version of it. This alone will more or less decide his career, both at home and abroad, for years to come. He knows that the Motherland is watching...

At first, the stage was all dark, but lights started to reveal the background -- the cinematic slideshow of the snow-topped Slavic capital city of Providenska. As the familiar tone of female chorus and accordion started, Anatoli stepped onto the stage in his Air Force uniform, accompanied with his pilot's cap and overcoat. The wind (from behind the stage) blew slightly, bringing his overcoat to flutter slightly and giving the feeling of a cold winter evening.

Under the Golden Cross, in the Northern Wind.
I remember the Great Bell ringing.
The evening birds were singing.
And I stood waiting.
For the lights of Providenska sunset.

I recall every moment.
Deep in my memories.
Under the lights of Providenska sunset.

The background kept shifting from one picture to another smoothly, all of which were panorama photos from famous landmarks of Providenska.

Everything has died down until the morning.
If you only knew how dear you are to me.
The river moved, all gently.
All in amber sunlight.
A song was heard, yet unheard, in my heart.

Dancing in the Northern Wind,
Is my longing heart.
For my home and my olden days.

Anatoli held the overcoat and the cap tightly, as if it was actually cold on the stage. He looked up far above, as if the sky and the sunset were actually above him.

Everything dies down as time takes them afar.
But I know my heart forever holds dear...
Sights of Golden Domes and the Golden Cross...
A song was heard, yet unheard, in my heart.

The sound of Providenska.
Of the Northern Wind.
Forever in my heart and soul.

He stood still on the stage, a solemn smile on his face, like a man who was leaving his home for unknown place and time.

I promise one day, that I will return.
No matter how far across sea and sky.
To where evening birds sing.
And the Great Bell rings.
To the lights of Providenska sunset.

I promise one day, that I will return.
For the lights of Providenska sunset.

As a finishing touch, small flakes of snow were blown into the wind as the young man took off his pilot cap and smiled to the crowd. Everything would soon fade into black... until Anatoli could only be seen as a silhouette, putting his cap back on.

29 - Normandy and Picardy
Love, Desire, Lust - Julie Arsenelle
Tune: (Natalia Nykiel - Total Błękit)

An unmitigated disaster. That's what the Normand press called it. NNN were absolutely slaughtered for weeks in an endless deluge, with some calling for Normandy and Picardy to pull out of WorldVision, and some calling for all government funding for it to be cut entirely. Naturally people were angry when expectation had been so high and NNN, and indeed the Normand government, had put so much money and time on the line, taxpayers' money at that. Indeed, with the Normand elections coming up it might cause the SPN government that has been in power since 2008 to fall, such is the anger. Some countries would have killed to even host the contest, or indeed to finish 12th. But for Normandy and Picardy, a country where expectation had been so high, it was a disaster.

Gerard Marien, the Head of Delegation, resigned. The head of NNN, Jean-Phillipe Tourainer was next. He didn't go directly because of what became known as 'The Great WorldVision Robbery', but because NNN ran out of money. Quite literally. They used up the entire budget granted by the government, and indeed had gone over by quite a bit. Accounting weren't happy at all, as you'd expect, and neither was the government. It was in this scene of chaos that NNN announced that they would not be returning to the contest. The wider fan community were naturally upset by this, given how long Normandy and Picardy have been involved in the contest. However, there was almost a sense of relief in Normandy and Picardy.

However, that relief soon gave way to the calls of some who wanted the country to remain part of it, amongst whom could be counted the comedians Jean Machet and Pierre de la Rue. They decided to team up with musician Henri Duche to write a song about a topic they knew well, football. They somehow managed to convince NTV, NNN's main rival, to give them some funding, and they then turned to NNN as the only broadcaster elligible to take part in Normandy and Picardy to help get them to the WorldVision stage. NNN agreed, given they didn't have to pay for it, and they made the announcement. Then disaster struck. At the last minute Jean and Pierre pulled out, sighting 'personal matters'. Suddenly NNN had agreed to foot the bill to enter WorldVision again but had no act.

Then, the stars aligned (or at least that's how it felt to the now reinstated head of delegation Gerard Marien), as Julie Arsenelle stepped in and said she would fly the flag at WorldVision, and pay for the cost for promotion and staging herself. For those who follow the World Hit Festival Julie will be familiar, as she came second at WHF 39, the country's best result since WHF 33, when they finished 2nd in a four person tie for first place. Well, Julie clearly wanted another taste at song contest success, and so she came to an agreement with NNN and ended up flying to Telm City. Her song, 'Love, Desire, Lust' is the second single from her upcoming album 'Des Rêves Humains', and is unsurprisingly about those three very things. In the song Julie takes on the character of love and discusses how love can decieve and ultimately destroy us, both within the contet of a personal relationship, but also on a greater, societal level.

Expectation was not very high in Normandy and Picardy despite the involvement of Julie Arsenelle, because both the fans and the general public believed that NNN would ruin the entry in some way, that they'd be robbed by everyone else or something else entirely. NNN were expecting their lowest ratings figures for WorldVision ever. And in the middle of this Julie prepared to stand up on the stage and sing her heart out. She was making the most of the moment, having fun and generally enjoying herself, but she knew she had to do well. Could she? Only time could tell...

The final preparations were made as the postcard played. LED panels were moved into positions, microphones were hurriedly checked, and Julie stood in the centre of the organised chaos going on around her. A smoke machine turned on. It was coming, and Julie knew it, but she was committed, and she was going to love every second of it. The postcard ended, and the camera feed showed the stadium pitch black. And with that, it began. There was an intense flesh of white light searing into the darkness of the arena as the song began which reeceded quickly, to be replaced by a series of searchlight style lights moving about slowly. The camera view visibly turned as it descended towards the stage where, surrounded by smoke and on a small platform, Julie was laid facing up. She held her hands over her face, a rather dark heart (as if it was dying) drawn onto them, such that there was half on each hand. Around her there was a ring of LED screens on which there were whisps of smoke shown, both in grey and red. As the camera completed its turn as it moved down, and just before the song started, Julie pulled her hands apart such that the heart on it broke. Beneath her, a ring of red appeared and expanded behind her, the LED screen built into the platform seeming to pulsate. Amongst the sea of smoke, Julie began to sing, looking straight up to the camera, and as the verse progressed starting to reach out towards it.

I am become love, destroyer of
Young hearts and even younger passions
I am become desire, fuel of
Hatred and cruel rage, burning on

As the verse continued, the red pulsations began again, this time extending beyond the platform to the actual floor of the stage itself, the red illuminating through the smoke and travelling through it like a wave. Some of the LED screens around Julie began to move back as the image of a mountain composed of various pieces of rubbish and garbage came into view. Amongst the garbage was the box for a wedding ring sans ring and a half eaten box of chocolates, the box slightly crushed at one end, along with other love related paraphenalia (nothing dirty, mind you). During the second half of the verse she began to get up, the smoke wisping around her. At the end of the verse a figure rose out of the smoke, looking around as if he was in danger.

I lure you in, I tell you everything you want
A ring and a kiss and life's perfect
If only it was that easy for you
But soon the poison will take effect

Julie grabbed hold of the man as she finished getting up, pulling him towards her. He appeared to try and get away, but Julie appeared to be able to subdue him, twisting his arm around such. He fell towards the platform, looking up to Julie as she continued to sing. The camera panned around them whilst the searchlight-esque bright white lights continued to move, increasingly rapidly, around the stage, whilst a light began to appear at the back of the stage, reaching towards Julie in the middle and slightly illuminating the scene better. The dancer began to disappear back into the smoke, but kept trying to reach out. However, as the post chorus instrumental began Julie pushed him down with her foot into the smoke, and so he appeared to disappear.

So sorry, wait, I'm not
Time to step up to the spot
As you begin to rot
As your lust starts to clot

Choking on a fairytale
Still believing to the bitter end
And I hammer in the last nail
Another heart is mine

The lights went mad during the instrumental section, and grew brighter as well. The LED screens above the stage burst into life, showing what appeared to be people trapped in the smoke on the stage below, reaching out and trying to escape but being dragged back. The camera feed focused on this before, at the end of the instrumental, returning to give a panoramic shot of the stage. The top LED screens changed back to the generic wisps of smoke, now grey and a greeny/turquoise colour which also began to appear in the lighting (think the live performance of Bones at Eurovision 2018).

As the next verse began, the audience saw that Julie had moved away from the platform and was now standing amongst the smoke next to one of the LED screens which were dotted about the stage. The turquoisy-green dissolved back into red. The camera focused on her as she reached out and pulled her hand into a sort of gripping motion, whilst a ring of red moved in towards her hand. She then pressed her hand down onto the screen, and the red light appeared to come out of her hand, as if she had let it go. It first formed the image of an eye, but within that eye was the picture of a woman and a man holding each other. The camera view focused on the screen focused on this, before suddenly Julie's hand came in to pull the woman away from the man.

So just tell me everything that you need
And I’ll give you something broken
And keep up the illusion for long enough
That you’ll think that it’s something special

The camera feed then returned to show Julie as she walked away from the screen, where another male dancer looked up to her on one knee with a ring, as if asking her to marry him. To complete the obvious reference to the lyrics, she pushed the man to the floor with her foot. As she carried on walking forward, the long trails that stretched from the semi-tight dress/jumpsuit thing she was wearing reaching out into the smoke, the dancer - all in white - got back up and grabbed Julie by the hand from behind. She pulled him round to the front and close to herself before sending hin back into the darkness and smoke of the stage.

You’re easier to knock over down on one knee
You’re easier to defeat when you love another
Your heart is hostage to the world’s every whim
And nature always collects what she’s owed

As the camera began again, the camera gave a panoramic shot across the stage, Julie reaching out and looking as if she was in complete control. With a calculating stare she followed it, whilst on the LED screens dotted around the stage hands, shown via their outline shown in red, appeared to reach out of the smoke as if trying to escape. The spotlights began to focus on Julie, forming a cage around her (a la Undo), and became increasingly red as the became so. The camera returned to show Julie who picked up a hammer which had been hidden in the smoke. She then turned around and hit the screen, causing the image to appear to crack before bursting entirely, the shards spreading across to the other screen, as if to show that the entire thing was an illusion.

So sorry, wait, I'm not
Time to step up to the spot
As you begin to rot
As your lust starts to clot

Choking on a fairytale
Still believing to the bitter end
And I hammer in the last nail
Another heart is mine

The shards continued to spread as the chorus began. Lights frantically turned on and off and the cameras gave short shots around the entire stage, twisting and turning and at one point being completely upside down as they travelled around the stage. Ocassionally figures were shown, standing straight and staring out into the distance as if they were mannequins. The camera briefly focused on one who appeared to cry, but instead of tears it was blood. Their were faces screaming, hands reaching again, whilst the shards which kept moving about slowly began to morph into what almost looked like pieces of a heart.

As the instrumental ended, the lights only seemed to intensify, although they began moving about and flashing on and off at a lower rate. The cameras gave a single panoramic shot starting from back of the left-hand side of the stage and moving round to the right, where Julie was. Her dress was being blown about by a wind machine, and she moved her arms around in an almost fluid-like motion, matching the beat.

So sorry, wait, I'm not
Time to step up to the spot
As you begin to rot
As your lust starts to clot

Choking on a fairytale
Still believing to the bitter end
And I hammer in the last nail

The lights reached their greatest intensity, and bursts of fire seemed to begin to break through, as the entire stage almost seemed to begin to fall apart. The LED screens showed a writhing mass of people who looked almost as if they would burst out of the screens, whilst the floor madly turned between a deep red and pitch black and cracks were superimposed over the edges of the camera feed. As the song ended, there was a large flash and Julie, whose movements had been becoming more erratic (although obviously controlled) could be seen laid face down on the floor. All the colour seemed to be sucked out of the stadium, meeting at Julie before fading entirely.

Love, desire and lust
The masters of your pain
Tearing your soul apart
Whilst you laugh and smile

Whilst you're oblivious
I'll hammer in the last nail
Another heart is mine

The crowd cheered as the lights in the stadium returned to normal. Julie shouted 'Merci, merci!' and waved before quickly leaving the stage, as the preparations were made for the next song.

30. Togonistan

Mareta Ioane - ''Sunlight''
Tune: Alan Walker & K-391 - ''Ignite''

Image
Mareta Ioane representing Togonistan in WV66

Mareta Ioane won the latest edition of Togonifest, granting herself the right to represent Togonistan in Telm City. Born in a small town of Tidriana, Mareta made a name for herself in the local music scene after participating in the 2nd season of The Voice: Togonistan, where she finished in a respectable 4th place. After the show, Mareta got an offer from Mr. Tahafa Talagi, CEO of Togonistan's biggest record label Amarillo Music. Mareta's career took off from there, making her a well-known artist in the nation.

Performance:

Stage is dark. Background screens display a night's sky, with a few beams of blue light focused on Mareta. She is sitting on a black box surrounded by some smoke. Her profile is tilted so that the audience sees her from the side. Mareta is wearing a silver catsuit (like one that can be seen on the picture above) with a pair of high heeled shoes. Her head is lowered to her chest and as the music progresses, she raises her head and looks into distance as she puts mic to her mouth and starts singing.

In the night
Together we are walking
Guided by streetlights
Until the sun is rising

In darkness
Like in kind of a sorcery
Hours go and pass
We be stuck in a reverie

Mareta turns herself to face the audience. She looks into the camera as it closes up on her. Still sitting on the box, Mareta sings the first part of the chorus. For the second part, she stands up and starts walking forward as the stage starts lighting up more. In a cloud of smoke behind the box, two female backing dancers have been hiding themselves. As Mareta stands up, they leave their hiding spot and accompany her. They are wearing short black dresses with high heels. As Mareta is done singing the second part of the chorus and the drop kicks in, the trio starts doing some synchronized dance moves. Stage lights start flashing to the rhythm of the music.

When the darkness sets in upon us all
Let the lovers set their feet off the ground
Because the night is here for us to take
We stay until sunlight

Side by side we walk into the night
You and I surround by city lights
Because the night is here for us to take
We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

Mareta's backing dancers fall back as the lights fade off again. A beam is lighting up Mareta standing in the middle of the stage. However, in the meantime, a small movable catwalk has been rolled to the stage. Camera focuses on two male dancers, dressed in black T-shirts with a pair of black jeans and white sneakers, jumping on the catwalk and doing a few smooth dancemoves there. They tilt their right shoulder up while sliding to the side, after which they move behind each other's backs, almost touching hands before jumping off again.

After that, another pair arrives from the other end of the stage. Another beam of light focuses on them as the male dancer slowly moves his hand behind female dancer's neck. Moving their lips closer to each other, it seems as they are about to kiss on the stage just before the female dancer grabs his shirt, pulling him back into the shadows.

So alive
While being under night sky
Wishing that this night
Would last for eternity

You and I
We're losing the track on time
We can be the ones
Dancing until the sun

Background LEDs display a graphic of a supernova. Camera focuses on Mareta standing and singing the first part of the chorus. For the second part, her backing dancers come approach her from the back again as the lights start flashing again. Mareta and her dancers start doing their moves again as the drop kicks in.

When the darkness sets in upon us all
Let the lovers set their feet off the ground
Because the night is here for us to take
We stay until sunlight

Side by side we walk into the night
You and I surround by city lights
Because the night is here for us to take
We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

Lights on the arena stop flashing and camera focuses on a man dressed just like the male backing dancers seen before. The man, standing in a beam of blue light, puts a mic to his mouth and starts singing. A small portion of the viewers might recognize him being Kahu, a Togonistani rapper relatively unknown to the international audience.

You and I, like demons lurking in the night's shadows
Enjoying this moment like there's no tomorrow
We are the night wolves cuddling under the stars
Let's enjoy the moment
Let's enjoy it until daylight

All the backing dancers, three male and three female, quietly approach Mareta from behind as she is standing in a single beam of light, singing the first part of the final chorus. The stage starts lighting up as the dancers reach Mareta, who finishes singing the second part. Lights on the arena start flashing again as the stage lights up and dancers behind Mareta start doing their moves for the final time.

When the darkness sets in upon us all
Let the lovers set their feet off the ground
Because the night is here for us to take
We stay until sunlight

Side by side we walk into the night
You and I surround by city lights
Because the night is here for us to take
We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

We stay until sunlight

Mareta smiles for the audience as she puts her mic to mouth and says: ''Thank you Telm City! Mihi koe!'' before leaving the stage.

31. Bloodbath Generation
Free, to the tune of This Is Me, from the Greatest Showman
the cast of LABAS/LABAN

Image
Ava Dean Myers, lead singer for "Free"

This was the country's first entry in almost ten editions. Expectations were high for the cast- they were the first musical to truly break into mainstream culture, and have enjoyed success far beyond what the small theater scene could have predicted for them. The delegation had teased fans, saying that there would be "true fan involvement" and something on a grand scale.

The performance begins with Ava alone on a pitch-black stage, spotlight on her. She is wearing a simple black dress.

I know this world wasn't quite made for me
I question everything I hear those people say

No God can heal or save my wretched soul
No one to hold, no one to love me 'til I'm old

The shot widens, but the camera is still focused solely on Ava.

But I left that all behind me, yes
I am stronger, I can conquer this
Letting love shine in

The lights rise and reveal the cast. Some are LGBTQ, women of color senior citizens, young men and women. They are standing in a line with their "labels"- the man is trans, the woman is a former addict, the older woman is identified by her age, and the black woman by her race. Ava is still the only person singing, standing in the middle of this five-person line.

I am more than what you say I am
I am a force of change, and strong I stand
No more chains,
no restraint
I am no one but myself
I am free

Today is just another fight
Another choice to cry or live this life
Live it proud, in the now
hear these beautiful sounds
I am free

The five now sing in unison:
Ohhh.....ohhhhh.... (x3)
Ohhhh...oh oh oh-

Ava now breaks away from the formation, knocks down the mic stand and walks confidently towards the front of the stage. Wind machine behind her, dress flowing, she is a force of beauty commanding the stage.

You try and break me down with every word
But I don't care, it's nothing I haven't heard
I've found all this strength inside myself
I am free from the demons I know all too well

The five now walk in her direction. She is still in the middle, a leader of the group. You can visibly see the anxiety leave some of their faces, and their breaths deep but confident as they all sing:

But I left that all behind me, yes
I am stronger, I can conquer this
Letting love shine in

The camera pans across all five, showing them singing together. The looks at each other, the soft smiles- it is clear they stand together in spirits while spread out across the stage. During this chorus, audience members singing along are also featured, one with tears in his eyes.

I am more than what you say I am
I am a force of change, and strong I stand
No more chains,
no restraint
I am no one but myself
I am free

Today is just another fight
Another choice to cry or live this life
Live it proud, in the now
hear these beautiful sounds
I am free

Suddenly the stage is washed in a bright white light. In a "spontaneous" event, strategically-placed Bloodbathians of all stripes fill the aisles (and are all wearing matching t-shirts with the musicals logo on it). The continue with the "ohhhh oh oh" backing vocals along with the five ensemble members on stage. Ava is now belting an improvised pre-chorus in the center of the stage:

Now I have come to far to back down
and the road is getting rough now
but I am more
than these tears
I am a force, a power feared
I am free

The six now walk along the catwalk, with camera shots alternating between them and the audience members on their feet. The final chorus is rousing, with fists pumping, confetti falling and every shot capturing passionate singing:

I am more than what you say I am
I am a force of change, and strong I stand
No more chains,
no restraint
I am no one but myself
I am free

Today is just another fight
Another choice to cry or live this life
Live it proud, in the now
hear these beautiful sounds
I am free

With the final line, Ava stands with the five, no more forward despite being the main vocalist. They embrace, and the aisles are going wild.

32. Saviera
Na Na Na, by Y. Laurel

To The Tune Of A Lost Puppy By IU

Content Warning: Suicidal Thoughts

Y. Laurel was Saviera's Voting Spokesperson Last Edition. L. Yanny, Who was the Most Recent Entrant and is the Voting Spokesperson This Edition, Thinks that This will be an Equally Good Entry for Saviera.

As the Song Begins, Y. Laurel is a Silhouette Standing in the Middle of the Stage, Surrounded by the Empty Darkness. The Voice Filter Makes Her Sound Even More Lonely.

Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na

We Finally Get to See Her and She is Wearing All Black and Kinda Looks Like a School Girl or Even a Doll.

Voices in my head like butterflies swarm
Beating heart but my thoughts are a straight line
Though I would embrace myself for the big rainstorm
But my soul breaks, it is not fine

Oh~ oh oh~
Darkness returns again
It greets me just like a friend
Oh~ oh oh~
What if I let it end?

For the loneliness surrounds me
And my heart it feels so empty
Where is my spirit?
I do not feel it

Through the tunnel I see the light
I’m just putting on hold, my life
No one’s looking
No one’s caring

She Sings Very Lonely in the Dark. She Sounds Very Sad and Desparate.

Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na

Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na na

The Song Feels Really Sad and Even the Viewers at Home are Feeling Gloomy.

Oh~ oh oh~
Darkness returns again
It greets me just like a friend
Oh~ oh oh~
Please don’t let me end

For the loneliness surrounds me
And my heart it feels so empty
Where’s my spirit?
I do not feel it

Through the tunnel I see the light
I’m just putting on hold, my life
No one’s looking
No one’s caring

A period of silence precedes his vocalization. He looks serenely into the distance, breathing in, waiting for the right moment, like when you have to time your core muscles just right to push at the perfect time to get the last bit of poo out

A wors

His voice confident, his words ringing out into the still air of the arena, vibrating into every surface like a high end dildo

It is... bad

Spoken in a profound manner, he seems to be thinking up thoughtful statements on the spot. In fact, each sound, each inflection, each choice has been painstakingly rehearsed and tuned just right, because no one wants to sound like a badly neglected piano

It has... meaning.

He stresses "meaning", emphasizing the power of meaning and the weight that it holds, his voice like cold iron spikes driving into still fog, his eyes demonstrating his unfaltering belief in his words, like a wildly gesticulating televangelist trying to get donations to fund his private jet

I like meaning.

His words drip with pure, distilled, 198 proof kosher emotion, strong enough to knock the lights out of a Russian after a single drag. The audience is touched, deep down in their hearts beneath their shifting clothes

Some. "People". Don't.

He looked as amused as anyone looking at a JanBenet Ramsey train meme could get, his face contorting into non-Euclidean geometries that would cause instant catatonia in an Xian graphic designer. He raises a finger, slender like a wrinkled bone

And that is what

He pauses, a pause of pregnant silence distended beyond belief, ready to give sweet sweet labor like a disqualified Missus Xian entry in the still arena air

I want.

Satisfied, he smiles like a person not killed by a speeding 590 mph train in Indo States. He sits down on the stage with a thicc wet plop, to be removed by the hunky Britonish security guards

Kalosia
L'Amurë Rušmoresë — Montereu
performed in Kalosian to the tune of Russian Roulette — Red Velvet

Kalosia has quite the history with girlbands. Our most recent victory, in WV52, was with one. And we've been sending them as far back as our fourth entry, in WV24. Some suspect the Hallyu Wave has come all the way from South Korea and swept away the hearts of Kalosians. This one article particularly describes the role played by Korean-style pop in Kalosia's WorldVision entries. Well, this is not very different.

The entrant, Montereu, consist of Eva Rodrigez, Karla Botini, and Rosa Giľaume (left to right on the picture linked above). They had come 2nd in the 24th Festival dele Melodie Kalosiane, the national final for the 30th World Hit Festival, with the song Ridu, Pianǧu, Amu (I Laugh, I Cry, I Love). Although they still have not had the chance to sing at WHF, they were selected by RTVK to participate in the 66th WorldVision Song Contest.

The song, Rushmori Love, tells the story of a man who travels the countries of Rushmore in his quest to find love. Rushmore, of course, is a region known for its athletes who regularly participate in many sporting tournaments throughout the multiverse, as well as its water fowl. Kalosia happens to be in it, so are a few other regular WV participants such as Saviera and Electrum. L'Amurë Rušmoresë is the first song to be performed in Kalosian at WorldVision since Paola Amadin's Amiral Me at the 50th WorldVision Song Contest.

For the live performance, the girls are wearing brightly-coloured tennis outfits, making them look like athletes. The colour code for this entry follows the colour of the outfits they are wearing, which is as follows:
Eva Rodrigez [Blue] // Karla Botini [Red] // Rosa Giľaume [Green] // Altogether [Black]

Kalosian pronunciation guide

At the beginning of the song, the stage is dark, and the camera shows the screen that happens to display a map of the region while saying, in order, "33. Rushmore", "Montereu", "A Rushmori Love Story", and "L'Amurë Rušmoresë".
(Ah, ah ah, ah, a-ah, ah)
(Ah, ah ah, ah, a-a-ah ah)

(Ah, ah ah, ah, a-ah, ah)
(Ah, ah ah, ah)

Finally the lights kick in and the girls emerge on stage. The camera zooms in on whoever's singing.

The rings of light on the contraption above the stage are now spinning around, creating some sort of disco ball effect. This will continue to happen in every chorus, but not during the upcoming verse or bridge. The camera switches to some slightly wider shots as Montereu do the choreography for the chorus, the background seems to show vector graphics that carry an aviation theme, such as immigration stamps, tickets, clouds on a blue background, and an animated plane taking off and flying through the skies.
Lë homu va-a-a a la Savierë
Il tšerka l’amurë ulë Tšeni e la Eúra
Kiámanu Mr. International
Luj, kë senta pju solu
Perše voľe l’amurë Rušmoresë

(Ah, ah, ah yeah)

Camera pans the crowd. If you look closely and fast enough, you can see flags of the participating Rushmori countries in the audience.
(Ah, ah, ah, ah) Amal mi
(Ah, ah ah) Ah, karu miu

Camera goes back to Montereu.
Kiámanu Mr. International
Luj, kë senta pju solu
Perše voľe l’amurë Rušmoresë

In the next part, the camera zooms in on the individual members of Montereu when they sing, though if you look closely you can see animated flags of Rushmori countries appearing on the background screen.
U Eletrum, Liventia, Taéšan opor Loǧë
Spetanu li meľor atleti u tudo dël mondu
Ma kadë vintši lë koru di kelkunë
Rëtševi un anelu, në unë medaľë

Halfway through the next part, a man emerges on stage wearing business casual.
Kestë serë kelkuno, il komenšavë
Un vjažu per siu pašio
Da unë isolë ala prošimë
Ovez sta un ritmu per siu koru?

While Montereu carry on with their chorus choreography, the man runs around the stage then off it, picking a bouquet of roses and giving a rose to certain members of the audience that he passes by, specifically ones that appear to come from Rushmori countries.
Lë homu va-a-a a la Savierë
Il tšerka l’amurë ulë Tšeni e la Eúra
Kiámanu Mr. International
Luj, kë senta pju solu
Perše voľe l’amurë Rušmoresë

(Ah, ah, ah yeah)

(Ah, ah, ah, ah) Amal mi
(Ah, ah ah) Ah, karu miu

Kiámanu Mr. International
Luj, kë senta pju solu
Perše voľe l’amurë Rušmoresë[/color]

Now the camera returns to Montereu, the background screens display nothing but black (i.e. they're off), but the shot is close up to each of the members as they sing so it doesn't really matter anyway.
Kadë lej trovi
Saperi
Koru tiu
Polsera
Kredël kë
Nesun mar es tropu grandë per ti

The camera (still in one shot from the previous part) returns to the man, who now has a small box with him and he runs off stage. The camera later changes to a shot of Montereu. The background screen comes back to life.
Lë homu va-a-a a la Savierë
Il tšerka l’amurë ulë Tšeni e la Eúra
Kiámanu Mr. International
Luj, kë senta pju solu
Perše voľe l’amurë Rušmoresë

(Ah, ah, ah yeah)

Back to the man, now making his way through the audience. He appears to be approaching someone holding a Rushmori flag.
(Ah, ah, ah, ah) Amal mi
(Ah, ah ah) Ah, karu miu

He makes his way to the person, and just as this next part ends, he gets on his knees and 'proposes'.
Kiámanu Mr. International
Luj, kë senta pju solu
Perše voľe l’amurë Rušmoresë

After he proposes, the camera cuts back to Montereu who are doing a new set of choreography we haven't seen earlier in the song.
Lë homu va-a-a traversu lë Rušmorë

Ah, ah ah, ah, a-ah, ah
Ah, ah ah, ah, a-a-ah ah

As the song ends, the man and the fan with the Rushmori flag, holding hands, join Montereu in time for the final pose at the end of the song.
Lë homu va-a-a traversu lë Rušmorë
(Ah, ah ah, ah, a-ah, ah)
(Ah, ah ah) Ah, karu miu

The song ends and the crowd goes wild! The members of Montereu take a bow and wave to the crowd. The man and the "Rushmori fan" wave as well. In fact, she happens to be the man's RL fiancée and was a performer planted in the crowd disguised as a fan. The 5 of them now leave the stage as it is being set up for the next part of the show.
(Ah, ah ah, ah, a-ah, ah)
(Ah, ah ah, ah, a-a-ah ah)

(Ah, ah ah, ah, a-ah, ah)
(Ah, ah ah, ah)

Here in the land of sport, we are strong and fast
You can feel the energy in our voice
There are waterfowl
But I see a love bird

Tonight someone will begin
A journey for his passion
From one island to the next
Where is there a rhythm for his heart?

The man goes to Saviera
He looks for love in Ceni and Eura
They call him Mr. International
Him, who feels very lonely
Because he wants Rushmori Love
(Ah, ah, ah yeah)

(Ah, ah, ah, ah) Love me
(Ah, ah ah) Ah, my dear

They call him Mr. International
Him, who feels very lonely
Because he wants Rushmori Love

In Electrum, Liventia, Taeshan or Eastfield Lodge
The best athletes in the world await
But when you win someone’s heart
You receive a ring, not a medal

Tonight someone has begun
A journey for his passion
From one island to the next
Where is there a rhythm for his heart?

The man goes to Saviera
He looks for love in Ceni and Eura
They call him Mr. International
Him, who feels very lonely
Because he wants Rushmori Love
(Ah, ah, ah yeah)

(Ah, ah, ah, ah) Love me
(Ah, ah ah) Ah, my dear

They call him Mr. International
Him, who feels very lonely
Because he wants Rushmori Love

When you find her
You will know
Your heart
Will pulsate
Believe that
There is no sea too big for you

The man goes to Saviera
He looks for love in Ceni and Eura
They call him Mr. International
Him, who feels very lonely
Because he wants Rushmori Love
(Ah, ah, ah yeah)

(Ah, ah, ah, ah) Love me
(Ah, ah ah) Ah, my dear

They call him Mr. International
Him, who feels very lonely
Because he wants Rushmori Love

The man goes through Rushmore

Ah, ah ah, ah, a-ah, ah
Ah, ah ah, ah, a-a-ah ah

The man goes through Rushmore
(Ah, ah ah, ah, a-ah, ah)
(Ah, ah ah) Ah, my dear

ETHANE // C2H6
Doomsday Clock - Harry Parsons
Tune: Up Down

The stage is set for Ethane's act - Harry Parsons to begin. The lights dim and the opening sequence - before the track begins - processes, alerting to the audience to the beginning of the Ethanian performance. The stage is dark for the start of the act. The cameras are focused on a central spot on the stage from above, even though it is currently empty - to those with really good vision, a faint shadow may be visible. As the music begins, a spotlight illuminates the centre of what is a large clock projected on to the floor of the stage - the time is reading as five to midnight. The second hand is visibly ticking around the clock, as a clock would typically work. A man - that is, Harry Parsons - steps forward into the spotlight. He is wearing a full black outfit, consisting of a black flat cap which looks rugged and old, a worn down black shirt and jacket, and black trousers which have some small holes in them, only just visible on camera. The camera slowly shifts from looking at the stage from above, swinging round to look at it from the front, the home audience now able to see his outfit and face. He's holding a microphone in his left hand. The lighting consists of a dim greyish white light projecting from the rim of the stage inwards, creating a dull atmosphere on the stage.

Had hope that they wouldn't come
My hope went to die.
They said that I could trust them,
It was all a lie.

As he sings the first line of the first pre-chorus, some faint red lights start flashing from both the back-left and back-right areas of the stage, creating a sense of danger and urgency but not anything dramatic in terms of lighting. It is visible but doesn't create a dramatic shift in atmosphere, although it foreshadows danger; a warning. Harry slowly steps forward, with his right arm held to his side, until he sings the final three lines. At this point, he shoots his arm out, points upwards, and then makes a stop motion with his right hand in a dramatic gesture. The camera shifts to the left-hand side of the stage for the first part of the pre-chorus, before a camera focused on the audience pans back to the stage, focusing on Harry and then his 'stop' gesture.

In a mad mad world,
I'm listening
To the cries of all,
As they're breathing in,
Look up
And stop.
Have wisdom.

As the dramatic crescendo of the chorus kicks in, the lights burst into action as well. The stage is illuminated with a significant number of red lights which completely change the atmosphere of the stage into one of danger, urgency (especially with many of them flashing like alarms), and warning. The red lights are also prominent right across the arena. Mist is pouring out on to the stage and covers the clock. But the camera shifts to an overhead view of the stage just before the view covers it, showing the time left to midnight - five minutes - before showing the clock get shrouded in mist. The camera then switches back to a view of the whole of Harry from the front.

Its all that I hear
Tick Tock Tick Tock
As midnight draws nearer
I just wait and
Wait and I hope
Its five to midnight
The clock
Tick Tock Tick Tock
We're running and screaming
But we're out of
Out of Control

Most of the red lights turn back off, reverting back to the situation pre-chorus in which you had a few red lights but not many, but the mist remains. Harry is now strolling along the stage from the right side to the left slowly, although even his walk appears a little angry. The camera follows him across as he makes his way across the stage.

We know you don't really care
What will happen next.
Just one step more and we will
Step over the brink.

A few more red lights, and red rim lights are turned on, everything flashing to provide a warning, for the pre-chorus. Harry continues moving across the stage, until the end of the pre-chorus where he stops, turns around towards the audience, and completes the same actions as he did before with the pointing upwards and the stop motion.

In a mad mad world,
We're hiding un
derground and hoping that
Sanity prevails.
Look up
And stop.
Have wisdom.

All the red lights switch back on again, flashing, creating a sense of urgency and danger once again. More mist also pours out from the sides and the back of the stage, but also higher so some of the mist is reaching up to Harry's chest, and some of the mist is beginning to leak off the edge of the stage into the audience. Harry jumps to the front of the stage, and a spotlight - the one that had previously been on the centre of the clock and hadn't followed Harry around - moved to where he was standing towards the end of the chorus. The camera pans from the audience to a view of Harry from the left side of the stage and up a bit, before switching to a different camera looking at him from the front of the stage.

Its all that I hear
Tick Tock Tick Tock
As midnight draws nearer
I just wait and
Wait and I hope
Its five to midnight
The clock
Tick Tock Tick Tock
We're running and screaming
But we're out of
Out of con-

As soon as the chorus finishes, all the lights other than the spotlight and a red light illuminating each corner of the stage switch off, leaving an eerie and misty atmosphere on the stage. As the bridge progresses, Harry slowly backs into the mist, the spotlight following him until he enters the mist, where he cannot be seen by the audience. He is not visible for the second half of the pre-chorus as the camera just looks at an empty stage and the audience waiting expectantly.

Time slows down as we draw nearer,
It slows as we hear the screaming.
Time slows down as we draw nearer,
It slows as we hear the screaming.
I've lost all feeling.

As the chorus kicks back in, a lot happens. A number of pyrotechnics are fired across the front of the stage and all around the clock from the middle of the stage, currently shrouded in mist but with the fireworks obviously visible. Immediately after that, Harry is seen rising up out of the mist. He is standing in the middle of the large clock on the floor of the stage, which is rising up until it is completely out of the mist. Harry is now looking down at the audience. The camera looks at the clock from above, showing it counting down to midnight and almost there. The red lights are all also flashing again, but with a lack of any white lights it creates a real atmosphere of urgency on the stage. Harry then steps forward to the edge of the circular platform, a part which doesnt have clock projected on to it at the front. A smaller circular part of the stage behind him then rises up and tilts forward so the clock is visible to the audience right near the end of the chorus. The clock is then seen, right at the end of the song, to hit midnight, and the arena goes completely dark.

Its all that I hear
Tick Tock Tick Tock
As midnight draws nearer
I just wait and
Wait and I hope
Its almost midnight
The clock
Tick Tock Tick Tock
We're running and screaming
But we're out of
Out of control.

The lights turn back on, and the stage is back in its original position ready for the next act. Harry has left the stage, as if everything ended right then.
Esportivan and Proud.
<drawk> If the entirety of the nation of Ethane was covered in a single cubic foot of Ethane on its surface, lighting it all on fire would cause a 5.44 megaton blast.
Best WorldVision Finish: 2nd. Best World Cup Finish: Quarter-Finals. Best KPB Rank: 8th. Best WBC Finish: 1st.
