Tucker Carlson also likes bowties, he also has a highly punchable face. It's a clear correlation.

So a conservative originality who considers Roe Versus Wade to be settled, is pro gun rights, and who seems to be fairly tame.

I would not say that he went that far. His concurrence was based on the Trump administration conceding that teen had a right to an abortion in Garza v. Hargan. Essentially he sidestepped having to address the issue which makes him a hard to nail down from judicial decisions alone.

He's the Anthony Kennedy pick. I betcha Kennedy told Trump, "Okay, I'll retire but I get to name my successor and I pick Brett Kavanaugh. You can spin it any way you like." Kavanaugh clerked in the CoA for the Third District and in the CoA for the Ninth, and of course for Kennedy. A curious mixture.

According to wikipedia "In May 2006, Kavanaugh stated he "would follow Roe v. Wade faithfully and fully" and that the issue of the legality of abortion has already "been decided by the Supreme Court".

That was a long time before Trump took power.

When he was being confirmed to the circuit court yes. Every circuit court judge is required to follow supreme court precedent and every republican appointed one will deal with a democratic Senator trying to get them to say they disagree with it.

Amy Barrett took the circuit courts can not overturn Scotus approach with Senator Feinstein as much during her confirmation to the circuit court. Senator Feinstein took some heat as it came across as though she was asking judge Barrett to take a religious test.

Kavanaugh is a good choice. Trump went with the nominee who actually has a chance of being confirmed. And if Roe v. Wade was ever going to be overturned, it would have happened when SCOTUS was 8 republicans and a pro life dem.

Except Christian conservatives don't constantly brag about how tolerant they are. Or base their entire ideology around said supposed tolerance.

Not Christian Conservativism that's for sure, really supporting things like shooting a person breaking into your house is literally the opposite from turning the other cheek.

Yes, of course, letting your wife get raped is what Christ was suggesting here.

When liberals say they're tolerant, they mean of other races, genders and religions, not of intolerance itself.

Yeah that's kind of a joke.
Really like most groups people only tolerate people when they agree with them, the moment they stop agreeing the tolerance goes out the window.

I notice that about the right too, some Right wingers will tolerate people they would usually be intolerant too... as long as that person of intolerance is speaking their views.
