I'm going to avoid most of your idiotic understanding of how mental illness works to just make a comment about your use of HIV/AIDS.The United Provinces of Serbania wrote:I agree with Belarus. Ahem. I'm not even going to care about your oversimplification of a very real problem. But let's just look at the fact that your understanding of faith is to say that god gave gays the aids. Aids, a real problem that cause millions of people suffering for years to come. The healthcare bills alone for medication to keep it in check. The worry over minor colds. The acknowledgement that one day you will die of a serious illness. Using your religion to justify casting a side eye to death all around you doesn't make you look like you are in the right. It doesn't make your religion look good either. Honestly, you look like a horrible person. Your disrespect to gay people says more about you than about gays simple right to exist and let live.

Well maybe if they were not treated like absolute fucking dog shit they would be less likely to kill themselves?

So what data are you building this argument on?
For the record, family acceptance is fairly influential in reducing suicidal ideation or suicide attempts in LGBT individuals.
Ryan, C., Russell, S., Huebner, D., Diaz, R., & Sanchez, J. (2010). Family Acceptance in Adolescence and the Health of LGBT Young Adults in Journal Of Child And Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing, Vol23(4) pp205-213.
Klein, A., & Golub, S. (2016). Family Rejection as a Predictor of Suicide Attempts and Substance Misuse Among Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Adults in LGBT Health, Vol3(3) pp193-199
Of the participants [LGBT survey], 63.9% and 12.8% reported suicidal ideation and suicide attempts, respectively (no significant gender differences; Table 1). These percentages are much higher than those found in a representative study among 18- to 24-year-old individuals in the Dutch population, which showed that 10.3% had ever “felt so down that they had thought about killing themselves,” and 2.2% had attempted suicide.

Swedish homosexuals are three times more likely to suicide as Swedish heterosexuals.

As for the Netherlands
5. Ten Have M, Van Dorsselaer S, Tuithof M, De Graaf R. Recent Findings on Suicidality in the Dutch Population: Results From the Netherlands Mental Health Survey and Incidence Study-2 (NEMESIS-2) [in Dutch] Utrecht, The Netherlands: Trimbos Instituut/Netherlands Insititute of Mental Health and Addiction; 2011Of the participants [LGBT survey], 63.9% and 12.8% reported suicidal ideation and suicide attempts, respectively (no significant gender differences; Table 1). I would guess not. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe people in Sweden no longer even have a concept of coming out. Maybe gay teens just sort of casually mention over dinner, without any forethought, "I think I like girls" and their parents say, "that's nice dear" and by the time they've done the dishes they've practically forgotten the conversation because such things matter so little in Sweden.
Maybe.

Only The Lord has the power to judge, and because of that, we can't judge others in His sake. If someone is gay or lesbian or any other form of LGBTQ+, then we have a moral obligation as Christians (which includes all denominations) to be accepting and kind until we all receive judgement.
Just wanted to throw my hat in the ring. I am open to logical discussion.

And it doesn't do a whole lot to refute what I said about parental and social acceptance reducing the incidence of suicide ideation.
