The next thing Derek knew, he was lying on the couch in the Gryffindor Common room and Rachel was standing over him.
Not even a second later, Derek moved himself to a sitting position and then got up and pulled Rachel aside. "I need to talk to you.. Not in five minutes, not in five seconds. Now."
He looked around the Common Room and saw several other students gazing at him. Derek turned back to Rachel. "Not here. Too....open. The Trophy Room. Meet me there."
With that, he left the room and made his way to the Trophy Room.
When Rachel arrived, he didn't even let her question him - he launched into all that had happened since that morning.
He told her about trying to take Madi to the Boathouse, getting caught by Aurors, Madi running off into the woods, him being taken to Avery, how the man used Legilimens on him and found out where Madi was.
Then he remembered that Avery had left the room. It was obvious where the man had gone.
"Madi...she's in danger! There's no way of telling what Avery will do to her!"
He's going to hurt her somehow, i know he is. That's who he is.
After a second, Derek spoke again.
"Madi might contact me somehow. If she does...I'll let you know. If she contacts you, or Raph, come and fine me."

The Headmaster

A little bit of time later, Avery left the castle and made his way towards the boathouse where Derek "told" him that was where he last saw the werewolf. The Headmaster squinted his eyes and towards the forest clearing before he approached. At the edge of the wood he knelt and saw the tracks from the large mythical creature and he nodded.

"All right, it looks like the boy's memories were accurate."

The former auror stood to his full height and removed his wand as he made his way into the forest and kept his eyes out for anything out of the ordinary. The tracks were fairly obvious and the broken branches pointed him in the right direction as he stalked the area. Avery came across the remains of a squirrel, completely mauled with the obvious marks of a werewolf attack. He nodded.

It's fresh. I'm close.

The werewolf in question was standing now, staring off into the trees before her.
Someone's there....
The beast took a small step forwards, and then stopped and listened for any movement.
Nothing.
Whatever out there is gooooddddd. Should I keep moving or stay here?
Then Madi heard a sharp crack, like a stick breaking and several birds took to the skies, screaming Danger! Danger!
The beast watched them fly off, then, again, there was that feeling of someone watching her.
It just wouldn't go away!
The werewolf shifted from one paw/foot to the other, trying to decide if she should flee or fight.
Strangely, she didn't feel a need to do anything to anyone right now. Of course, that was the potion working, but yet....Now she felt even more passive.
Still. She needed to be careful, anything could be out there.
Anything. And if they so happened to not like werewolves.....
Madi would be caught between Scylla and Charybdis.

Rachel

Derek explained his situation and scurried from the common room almost as fast as he had woken up. So, after getting her Charms textbook back, Rachel for one reason or another decided to go to the trophy room, where Derek was waiting.

Despite her obvious reluctance to listen to more of Derek's problems, Rachel inevitably grew more serious as he actually began to tell her what he was worked up about. Part of her was irritated at Derek for his terrible lying skills, but was even more angered by their control freak of a Headmaster butting his nose in places he probably shouldn't.

"You'd better let me know," Rachel said curtly. She then made for the door. "That man's not laying a hand on her if I can help it."

She slipped from the room and back into the corridors, leaving none the wiser.

Caitie

The young woman made her way into the unused girl's lavatory and looked around. There was no outward sign that anyone was just in there, but that didn't mean it wasn't the case. Caitie knew this was where the pair were headed and she didn't need Myrtle this time to tell her. However, even so, there was a significant issue.

"I can't get into the Chamber," she mumbled to herself. "I'm not a Parselmouth. Although..." Caitie stepped closer to the entrance of the Chamber.

I've heard Henry say it enough times, I can hear it in my head. I wonder if...

Caitie mouthed the sounds silently before she felt confident and then vocalised the inhuman sounds aloud to the opening of the Chamber, mimicking the sounds as best she remembered. On cue, the entrance opened and with a triumphant smile Caitie made her way inside.

Collab between Flutters and I

Postby Skylus » Mon Jun 04, 2018 8:56 pm

Derek watched Rachel leave the Trophy Room and he left soon after to find Raph, wherever he was. After some searching, he found his friend in the Library, near the back, a stack of books on the table before him.

After the announcement, Raph sighed as he got up from his table. Avery didn't give enough detail about what the Halloween event would entail if not a Ball-Masquerade. So Raph still questioned whether or not he wanted to go, mandatory or not. After all, Alex is gone and his muggle parents would almost certainly not be invited.

After lunch, Raph returned to the Library to get some studying done. He went through his alchemy text book and read up on a chapter taking notes. However, the Muggle-born found himself tired, having had trouble sleeping lately. He took a moment to close his eyes before falling into sleep.

"Think you still didn't fail me, freak?" said the burnt corpse of Alexander, standing before Raphael in the darkness, " To think I could have ever relied on you , mudblood."

Raph muttered to himself in denial before suddenly waking up with heavy breathing. Another bloody nightmare. He has been having such dreams for weeks now, yet he couldn't understand them. Alex never acted like that when he was alive. It was against every thing he stood for. Raphael looked up and found Derek standing before him. Shaking the thoughts of the dream out of his mind, Raphael smiled weakly.

"H-hey Derek." said Raphael, turning the page of his alchemy book, "What do you want?"

Derek looked around him before sliding into the seat before Raph. He then took a deep breath and tried to calm down.
"I need your help."
Derek then started to explain all that had happened to him throughout the day, beginning with the trip down to the Boathouse, the plan failing and Madi running off into the woods, him being taken up to Avery's Office, Avery questioning him and then using the dreaded Legilimens curse on him, and finally, Avery leaving his office, more than likely going after Madi.
After he had finally stopped talking, Derek leaned back and allowed Raph to take in everything.
"I...I have no idea what to do. I'm afraid to go after him......"
Derek then got an idea.
" I can't.....but you can. You can transform into a bat, I can't. You can follow Avery, hide somewhere, figure out what happens to Madi, then follow her, wherever she goes. If Avery does something to her, find some way to contact Rachel and I, but don't let Avery know you're there."

Raphael pondered on Derek's request. The last time he got involved in spying, it only led to Alex's death. Raph couldn't help but rue moment he accepted Rachel's request. However, this actually seemed different and would most likely not get someone killed. Though there were other dangers...

"Er... Uh... Sure, Derek." Said Raphael after moments of thought, "I'll see what I can do to help..."

"Thanks." Derek got up from the table and looked down. "If you want...You can head off now...Avery's probably already found her. Time's of the essence, my friend."

Raphael blinked. Derek wanted him to go now? The muggleborn hated getting into these things without preparation. Yet Derek was right. Time really was of the essence.

"Uh... Yeah, sure." said Raph, "I'll get into that right now."

Raphael stuffed all his belongings into his bag and left the library. With a crack he transformed into a bat and flew out of the windows. Outside, Raph flew to the forest looking for Madi and hoping he wouldn't be too late.

Henry

Churning the complicated and very dangerous Lord's Command was a intricate process involving several levitation spells and a special churn which Henry had been required to make for the task. The potion was almost needlessly complicated at some points, but a single error could change an extremely beneficial potion into one of the deadliest poisons known to man. Taking great care and double checking all of his spellwork, he set the churning process so that he wouldn't need to supervise, when he heard a loud hiss.

"Master, we have an unwanted guest"

Henry felt his blood go could. Straightening his back, he gestured for Freya to follow him to the doorway into the deeper chamber. Ser Jeromy slinked into the waters of the cistern, ready to strike. Counting down with his hands, he counted out three seconds before he and Freya both turned the corner yelling "Stupefy!"

The Headmaster

Avery continued his way through the thicket until he finally caught sight of the beast resting in a clearing deep in the heart of the Forbidden Forest. Not long after, a group of birds moved and the werewolf moved his head in his general direction but made no sudden movements against the former auror.

It's not acting like a beast...it must have taken its potion. That might save me some trouble later

Avery pointed his wand towards ones of the trees near the werewolf.

"Bombarda Maxima!" he chanted and watched as the tree exploded and sent shrapnel in all directions--a good distraction for the semi-feral mythical. In the confusion Avery fired off another spell.

"Everte Statum!" he yelled and watched as the spell struck the werewolf and sent it backwards before he cast the incarcerous spell. The ropes bound the werewolve's legs together and Avery finished the matter soon after.

"Incarcifors!

A cage-like appratus appeared around the werewolf, preventing its escape should it break free of Avery's magical bindings. The Headmaster gave the beast a smile and he wordlessly caused the cage to lift and follow him as he made his way back towards the castle.

Another Collab between Flutters and I

Postby Skylus » Tue Jun 05, 2018 8:41 am

It was dark. And cold. So cold. After a few hours of non-motion, the creature began to stir. The werewolf blinked several times to clear her vision and found that she was looking at iron bars. She felt sore all over and wondered what had happened to her in the forest. And how she had gotten here.
The werewolf didn't remember much of what had happened, she remembered an exploding tree, being flown backwards, then seeing bars all around her. She barely remembered trying to get out of the cage structure, but then nothing between then and now.
Still, she was still alive. That was good.
The werewolf looked around her as she shifted to a sitting position. There was lots of hay (or was it straw?) strewn on the ground - she appeared to be sitting on most of it - the iron bars in front of her, stone walls, and then she saw what appeared to be a grate in the corner. This particular corner hadn't been cleaned in a very long time, obviously because it would just get dirty right after it was cleaned. The beast's heart sank when she realized exactly what the grate was for and desperately hoped she wouldn't have have to use the grate for its exact purpose. Her thoughts were then broken off by a small squeak. The beast looked down to find something hanging on to her chest by its thumbs. A bat. A very particular bat.
Raph.

Raphael flew through the forest in search of Madi, hoping to find her. Eventually, he came to a stop and hovered in the air upon finding a strange beast. A werewolf that was obviously Madi. Raph kept hovering in place, keeping watch till he suddenly heard the footsteps of Avery. He watched as the headmaster approached and began attacking Madi, exploding a tree in an attempt.
Aw shit. I got to hide and stick with her. thought Raphael in panic. As soon as Avery created a cage around the werewolf, the Muggleborn Animagus flew downward into Madi's fur and stuck himself to her.
Eventually, Raph found himself back at Hogwarts. In a dungeon. He heard Madi's voice in his head and spoke back. Y-yeah... I'm here. said Raphael, detaching himself from the werewolf and sitting on a ledge, Derek sent me...

The werewolf looked up at the small bat and then shifted a bit. Thanks. I'll try to contact Derek now.
Madi closed her eyes and reached out, across the castle, searching.....She found Rachel first.
I'm okay. Raph's with me, don't panic or anything....Avery threw me down in the dungeons for some reason, yes, I know I'm breaking a lot of rules, but I really don't give a shit right now.
She also added Find Derek and tell him what I told you. And please don't let him come after me, I'm afraid what will happen if he does.
With that taken care off, the werewolf opened her eyes again. She felt cold down here, thought she didn't know why. After a while, she thought-spoke to Raph again. Do you have any food on you?

Raph looked at her suspiciously. I'm going to have turn human to find out. he said cautiously, You won't eat me while I check, will you?

Madi thought about this. No.
I'm not like I need to eat something or I'll die hungry.
Just need something small, anything, i guess.

Raph considered it for a moment before gently flying to floor and turning back into a boy. "Here..." he said, reaching for his pocket for a candy bar, "You can have this..."

Madi stared at the candy bar for a second and slowly moved her gaze to Raph. "Seriously?" She froze. ".....I can talk......" A second later, the beast reached out, grabbed the candy bar, inspected it for a moment.,"You're lucky I happen to like this kind." and then tore into the food item.
Then her jaw became stuck.
In the process of fixing this problem, the werewolf bit her tongue, normally, this would be painful. But due to her sharp teeth, it felt as if she had bitten it clean in half. The beast roared in pain and clamped her hands/paws on her mouth Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow SHIT that hurt ow ow ow ow
After a few seconds, Madi removed her paws/hands and gingerly felt her tongue. It was bleeding quite a bit but other than that, nothing else seemed to be wrong with it. She caught Raph staring at her. "Bit my tongue."
Raphael turned back into a bat and returned to his ledge. He still didn't trust werewolves in wolf form. Any idea how we get out of here? he asked.

"Nope. None. Don't have my wand on me so....Wait do you have your wand on you?" Madi thought about that for a second. "No, wait, don't use it, I mean, I guess you can leave...."

"I guess I can just leave... I do have my wand." said Raph in thought, "When will you turn back into a human?"

It was at this point that the werewolf moved from the pile of hay/straw she had been sitting on and - something was around her left leg, near her ankle. The creature looked down to find a shackle attached to a chain that was bolted into the wall above the hay-pile. Madi tested the chain by puling on it. "I have no idea what time it is.....sometime the next morning, I think around dawn...So whenever that is...."
She then pulled on the chain again and glanced up at Raph. "Can you get this off?"

Raphael looked at her and turned back into a human. He took out his wand, aimed it, and cast a spell to break it.

Except the spell seemed to do nothing.
In fact, the chain seemed to absorb the spell.

"What... Why?" Said Raph in shock.

"...Maybe Avery made it so it can only be unlocked with some sort of key....It's okay, it's not hurting or anything, it's just there."
Madi tested how far the chain was and she had enough room to reach every bit of her cell and then some. She was getting bored, so she began to pace back and forth, to pass the time.
At one point, she looked up and saw her friend near the iron bars.
It seemed like he was leaving, which was fine, of course, that way Raph culd go find Rachel and Derek
The next time she looked up, the boy was gone. She was alone now.

For the next several hours, the beast either slept, paced back and forth, or (very reluctantly) used the grate for what it was designed for.

Caitie

"Finite!" the young witch chanted and watched as the two beams of magic dissipated moments before hitting her. Caitie pointed her wand first at Henry and then moved back to Freya as a smug smile appeared on her face.

"Well, looks like we're having a bit of fun in the Chamber today. Care if I join you?"

Raphael Raymond

Raph nodded at Madi and silently made his escape through the bars. He had to go find Rachel and Derek to tell them about Madi's whereabouts. Using echolocation to navigate through the halls of the dungeon, Raph had less trouble finding a way out than he would have had in his human form.

Flying around the halls of the school, it didn't take Raph too long to find Derek and Rachel in the trophy room. "Found Madi." Raph said turning from bat back to boy, "Avery got to her first and I hid in her fur. She is in the dungeons right now..."

Derek

Raph hadn't returned for a few hours. Derek knew something was terribly wrong. he was headed back tot he Common Room when Rachel came up to him, going on and on about 'some mind message'. He didn't allow her to go on, just merely told her to head back to the Trophy Room.

Minutes later, Raph came running up and confirmed Derek's worst fears - Avery had gotten a hold of Madi. She was now trapped in a cell in the dungeons, all alone, possibly against her will.
Needless to say, he went ballistic.

Henry and Freya

Anger welling up inside him, Henry gripped his wand tighter. Betrayal was the single thought rippling through his mind, like an angry growl. Something almost animalistic awakened in him. Grimacing like an animal snarling at his prey, he said "Welcome to the party then." before a string of hacks and whispers began to flow from Henry's mouth like a disturbing and alien song. The door to the chamber sealed shut as the water behind him began to boil and ripple until the surface burst.

The Dread Serpent slithered forward, it's eyes glowing like prison searchlights as glowing green venom leaked from it's mouth. At the moment it was tense however, observing Caitie rather than instantly pouncing for her. Henry drew back his wand arm, hoping to take advantage of the situation, yelling "Voltagia" and watching as red lightening arced towards Caitie. Freya followed suit and cast the same spell, however hers remained the standard blue color.

Caitie

Caitie gave a wry smile when Henry "invited" her to the party. As soon as the door shut, she knew she was in for the long haul and made her move.

Keep my eyes away from the basilisk, and keep my wand on them, Caitie thought as she moved her hand towards the water to her left and levitated it in front of her, mere moments before Henry and Freya made their move.

Come now Harry, she cheekily thought. I've been training with you for years, of course I know your favourite spells. The electrical beam struck the water and harmlessly dissipated. Caitie dived to her right and fired off her own signature spell at Freya.

Take out the weaker opponent first, she reasoned before she chanted the fire-making charm at the Henry.

Hogwarts Dungeons
Cell #6

Madi had no idea what time it was. However, she had been feeling the tell-tale signs of turning back, so it had to be close to 12 hours. The werewolf wasn't sure how she'd handle her current situation once she turned back. Whenever that was.
No one had come down here since Raph left. She was truly alone right now, locked this cell, chained to the wall.If she had to be locked in here an entire day, Madi feared she go crazy. She found herself wondering about her brother, if he had noticed that she was missing yet. How he would fare with the fact that her older sister was a werewolf? Most of the sixth years knew she could become a werewolf, maybe they were wondering where she was as well.
What I wouldn't give for food right now....I mean, I'll live, but....
The last thing she had eaten was a candy bar. A candy bar, and that had been at least 6 hours ago.
To say the beast wasn't ravenous wasn't an understatement.
The Werewolf was pacing back and forth, back and forth, endlessly. it was really the only thing he could do besides sleep, but wit.
What was that?
There was something bloody lying on the floor before the iron bars.
Food.
The beast darted over, picked up the meat, and tore into it. Not even a minute later, she dropped the bones on the floor and went over to the pile of hay, and then passed out.

Micheal, Madi's first year brother, was worried. He had been looking all over for Madi and couldn't find her. On his way back to the Slytherin Common Room, he happened to come upon Raph, and two Lions, Derek and Rachel.
"Hello...Do you know what happened to my sister? I can't find her anywhere..."

Henry

Henry waved his arm in front of him, diverting the fire blast away. Drawing his wand back to cast another spell, his eyes went wide as he watched Freya's neck slice open from Caitie's spell. Rage turned to panic quite quickly. He yelled out "SHIT! CAITIE HOLD ON!". Putting his trust in the witche's own twisted morality that she wouldn't let Freya die for being a follower, he ran over and grabbed Freya under her arms, knowing if Caitie did try to kill him the snake would kill her as well.

Dragging her over to the potions lab, he furiously stirred a violent purple elixer, before picking several other ingridients off the shelves, including a few Calendula flowers, Stellaria stems, and crushed unicorn horn. Quickly grinding them together in a pestle and forming a paste, he added it to the potion, and used his wand to flash stir the potion. The potion bubbled violently as Henry plucked a hair from his head and said to Caitie "You may want to step back..."

Caitie

With the three way duel over almost as quickly as it started, Caitie let out a sigh and lifted herself off of the damp stone floor of the Chamber. Mindful of the Basilisk waiting in the wings, Caitie did her best to avoid gazing towards the water, for she knew even a reflection of its eyes could harm her. Still, as the last embers died inside her eyes she couldn't help but feel somewhat disappointed.

Like with the git in Hogsmeade, it just isn't satisfying enough, she mused with clenched fists. Her icy eyes lethargically lingered over to Henry as he dragged Freya away deeper into the Chamber. The wound wasn't severe, at least, not with him around, but left alone Caitie knew Freya would die. The blood pouring, if not gushing, from her throat was evident of that--an image Caitie was all too familiar with.

And so she watched in silence, her wand ready just in case...

The Headmaster

Late into the evening, Avery found himself working in his office, as he was want to do. He had since developed the perfect system for monitoring the students as he worked, and his enchanted mirrors were constantly peering into their lives. The Headmaster checked his watch and reasoned that it was about time.

Taking a secret staircase, he made his way down into the dungeons where instead of a werewolf, a nearly completely ordinary girl waited in the cell. With the slightest movement of his hand, the lock opened and without another word he made his way back into the office.

Henry

Henry pushed his hair back, took a bottle of the now acid green potion, and walked over to Freya. Sounds echoed throughout the chamber almost like the beat of a heart. Nervously approaching, Henry tipped her head back and poured to potion down the now unconcious girls throat. The glowing green liquid vanished down her gullet, and Henry stepped back, waiting for something to happen.

For a few sickening moments, it seemed like nothing would. Then, a scratching, almost itchy noise became heard, as the flesh on Freya's neck slowly began to knit itself back together. Green mist poured from the wound that wound around the floor like snakes hunting each other. Slowly they tied themselves into a knot like that used by the ancient celts. Slowly spinning over Freya, the rune began to glow, as acid green light began to almost drip from it. The wound had fully healed by now, and veins leading away from it began to glow the same sickly color. The rune faded in a puff of smoke as Freya began to violently shake on the ground, her body seized by some force beyond even a wizards understanding. At the peak of the seizure, her body suddenly rose to a standing position and Henry felt in his minds, a link forged. Freya's eyes shot open, glowing the acid green color before her veins and eyes faded back to normal.

Henry smiled. Looking at Caitie and Freya, he began to laugh maniacally "It worked. It only bloody fucking worked. The sagas were true. This is a gold mine Caitie. For years we have been following the Romano-Arabic model, but it was wrong... it was bloody wrong. The Celts... The Vikings... it's all true... the old magics fucking work..."

Caitie

Caitie watched with largely disinterest or perhaps apathy as Henry's concoction did its work on Freya's all but lifeless body. She was relieved the young woman did not perish, although largely for personal reasons.

It would be fairly difficult to work my way out of that one, and getting expelled does me little good.

Yet for now, Henry's previous wroth was replaced with ecstasy. Caitie of course didn't mention the fact that the Romans annihilated the Celts, both militarily and magically and that her own pet magic--from Ancient Egypt--was far older and lasted far longer than the Celts and the Romans combined.

So for now she simply stood in silence...

Madi

She had been bored out of her mind for the past hour. Thankfully, Avery finally decided to come down and let her go. At the same time that the man broke the lock on the cell door, the chain and shackle also broke.
Madi waited until she knew Avery had gone back to his office, then got up and walked around a bit, then made her way upstairs and to the Common Room. Thankfully, she didn't see many people as she walked barefoot down the corridors. At least, until she ran into several people that were standing outside the Fat Lady.
They had noticed her by now and were staring at her, probably at her current appearance - her clothes were torn and she wasn't exactly clean, being she had spent that last 12 hours (or at least 12 hours) down int eh dungeons. Her friends and brother ran towards her, but when they reached Madi, she merely shoved them aside and walked into the Gryffindor Common Room, leaving the group to wonder what had happened.

"Is she going to be okay? She didn't even say hi....." Micheal looked up at the older students, gave a worried glace towards the Common Room, then left the group.
Derek watched the boy go, then sighed and clapped Raph on the shoulder. "Thanks. You're a good friend, Raph. I won't forget what you did." He then turned to Rachel. "You going to go somewhere else or...?"
he paused. "No...I guess not." He looked again to Raph, then shook his hand, gestured for Rachel to follow him, then Derek walked up to the Fat Lady, who let him in without a word.
Then the portrait swung closed.

The Next Day

The following day, per the Headmaster's announcement at the Great Hall, the students of Hogwarts were allowed to venture out into Hogsmeade or to Diagon Alley (via a portkey) to make any preparations for the upcoming Halloween. Given the nature of all previous Hogsmeade trips, Prefects chaperoned the students and aurors made sure to keep extra watch over the student body as they make their excursions into the wider Wizarding World of Britain.

And so that's how Caitie found herself babysitting a group of students. This time, she had a far more cooperative group, as legend of her duel with the student in Hogsmeade spread.

Adam

He wasn't really sure what to think of recent events, he still didn't like the loudspeakers nor the fact that he couldn't remember what happened for that special assignment in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Though when he often thought about that he pushed the thought out of his mind. He had woken up before the sun had risen drenched in sweat. He had a nightmare but, he couldn't remember what it was and only woke up after rolling off his bed. He stood up and started to walk towards the common room. Once he was out of the room, he casted lumos as he walked down the hall, once he got to the common room he sat by the fire for a few moments.

He felt as if he hadn't slept at all, this had happened the last several days. He wasn't sure what was causing it, so last night he made several wideeye potions to help him stay awake during the day. This was going to be the test run day to see how it would help. He figured once they were released to go to hogsmeade he would head to the three broomsticks and relax there for most of the day. No doubt several members of the quidditch team and other of the house would head there. After several moments he took out a vial and gulped it down immediately feeling the energy produced by the potion.

He sat there for what seemed like an hour before Daniel one of the chasers on the team appeared and sat in a chair, "Morning Adam didn't expect to see you up this early. I figured you wouldn't be up until at least the sun rose over the horizon." He chuckled after yawning and slouching in the chair. Adam rolled his eyes at the comment before adjusting himself.

He replied, "Yeah I didn't sleep well last night and I decided to get up. Plus, you should be the last one making jokes about people sleeping. How many times have you fallen asleep during a match?" A smile crept on his face and the two continued to go after one another until the sun flooded the windows, "Well I dont know about you but, Im going to get some breakfast from the kitchen," he informed.

Rachel

When it was announced that the students were permitted to go to Diagon Alley, Rachel conveniently slipped out of the Common Room and went through the portkey before any more brats had the opportunity to ask her for an escort. With her being a prefect, none would be the wiser. However, she did bring along a few other people - ones she knew she wouldn't have to keep an eye on every second. When they got to Diagon Alley, she merely let everybody go their separate ways, and to meet up when everyone had to leave.

Diagon Alley was as lively as it always was. In fact, it looked unchanged even after all these years of in-fighting...not counting the occasional group of aurors patrolling the street here and there. They were intimidating even without an enchanted cuirass covering their torso. The armored battalions were scary...

But her measly worries were washed away when she found the first shop with Halloween-esque merchandise in stock. She had been to plenty of muggle stores that sold Halloween decorations and other paraphernalia before, but it was always fun to see what kind of new things the wizarding world would come up with for the holiday.

"Hair and skin coloring potions...transfiguring masks..." she quietly mused to herself as she perused the shelves. "Radiating costumes-- ...wow, that's a short skirt. Would that even be practical?"

She simply swiped up a fairly cheap potion and went back to browsing.

Raphael Raymond

Raphael was among the group of Slytherins under Caitie's watch walking down Diagon Alley. Arnold was with Caitie as well. The Fernwind incident made some prefects double up as a precaution. Raph, in his introvertness, found being in a crowd irritable, but at least it wasn't all bad. He was with the beautiful Caitie after all, but he would much rather be with Derek.

Raph sighed and glanced at Caitie, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "So... Uh... any plans on what we are doing, Caitie?" He asked, "We aren't exactly buying costumes and my mum already sent me dress robs... Want to find Derek?"

Caitie

As Caitie led her group of students through Diagon Alley, she wasn't thinking so much of what to get herself, but more making sure the little twerps she was meant to watch over didn't overstep their boundaries. Maybe because of her reputation or for other reasons, however, none of the students (in particular the younger ones) made more than a peep. Thus, to Caitie the whole expedition seemed like a waste of her time.

I could be home reading, at the very least, she mentally complained as she led them fast paced through the winding alleys. That was, of course, until Raph piped up. Caitie stopped in her tracks and turned over to the Muggle Born with a quizzical expression.

"Derek? What does he have to do with anything?"
