The newly built Angel's Alliance headquarters stood tall among the city. Built 50 miles away from the capital building, it was modeled after the Phynx a place where the pioneers of democracy conducted their work. The inside of the building was covered with the pictures of historical democratic reformers and activists. In the summit hall multiple chairs were set up each one for a different member of the AA.

Today the AA headquarters would host the AA's second summit. Lucky Wells, current secretary general of the AA and President of Atkemri was ready and waiting at the Holom airport waiting for the first leaders to arrive.

Stan Dixon already recieved a message about summit of the Angel Alliance, and after short considering, decided, that this convention is really important. He finished his bottle of rum, and then called Casey James and John Walker AI.

"So, looks like Atkemri, current leader of Angel Alliance decided to call a summit, where we should take part. I suggest, that all council appears. That shoud be a way to show our utmost respect to the organization."-Offers Stan Dixon, as he combs his hair and wears his cowboy hat.

"I belive, that our prime minister can run Skyhooked without any troubles, while we are absent. After all, he can call us. I am coming to the summit too. Not only as diplomate, but also as display of our technological achievements. I also wonder, what questions will be discussed. And... I hope, Casey James will not have too much tetrahydrocannabinol in his bloodstream, and you won't have too much alcohol."-Responds John Walker AI

"Don't worry dude, I smoked only four joints today. I think we are ready, now let's get to the plane. Damn, hope they won't notice that spot on jeans. Now it's Stan's turn to drive the plane."-Casey James

An airplane with all three Skyhookedian council members arrived to the destination, and all the members, together with six Capital minutemen as guards, left the plane, and soon greeted Lucky Wells.

-"Greetings, dear president and secretary Lucky Wells and sincere thanks for the invitation. Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Stan Dixon, El Presidente of the Libertarian commonwealth Skyhooked. This young man is our vice president, and that's ain't a joke. And this fine robot is John Walker AI, our first sapient artificial intelligence."-Stan tries his best in ettiquette.

Lucky Wells greeted Stan and everyone else who accompanied him. At first the sight of a sapient AI would shock Wells as he had known of attempts within his own country to make a AI half as advanced. Stan Dixon takes some time to think, and says-"Well, it's pretty good actually. We plan to celebrate our traditional Day of the Revolution feast. Celebration of this day started in 1982, when we won the civil war during the revolution against fascist, theocratic, oppressive governemnt, which made our lives miserable. You should visit this festival one day. Also, we got an influx of tourists, which is good, cause investors pour large sums in the infrastructure, especially since we managed to optimize some governmental agencies and reduce average tax rate from 30% to 14%."

Wells smiled, it was nice to know in other AA nations everything was going well "That's good. Things here are...interesting to say the least. The nation is getting progressively more partisan and the far left and right as well as the regular left and right are at each other's throats and I'm working on stabilizing everything. The economy's great though."

"Yeah, this is everywhere in Skyhooked too. Some folk can't get along and start trouble. However, not too destabilizing. For example, one day, anarcho capitalsits hired some private guard company, and used their guards agaisnt anarcho commuists, and all happened near Drunken Hussar bar, which got messed up. Or how about this one: Some Muslims hacked Blue Bull Kids TV, and kids across the country watched some muslim preaching instead of morning cartoons. Well, at least our folk are smart enough not to eat tide pods."-Stan Dixon

Governor Shang stared out the window of the Astra One as pre-flight checks were completed.
This would be quite a symbolic conference that Lucky had planned: a transfer of power from the founder of the Alliance to his friend, an event that would rightfully establish the military coalition’s place in the world, and for Shang, a travel milestone for himself and his compatriots. Senator Elizabeth Shirelle sat in an opposite seat, talking with her party officials via a phone, while a couple of newcomers, Consulate Secretary Martin Skinner and Ambassador to Atkemri Naomi Wesley, chatted in another table.

Shang felt his phone ring- it was Philip Paxton, his Lieutenant Governor.
“Not taking me along, eh?”
“Ahh.” Shang responded. “You’ll do fine as Governor for now like you always do. Besides, it’s Africa. You’d be spitting expletives and racial slurs out of your stupid bisexual mouth like an X5.” Both laughed. “Take care of Exodia properly for me, would you? Don’t want the Senate impeaching you, taking over and then not being able to decide on anything.”
“It would be a pleasure.”
Shang turned off his phone and settled down.

“Are we ready, sir?”
A young Exodian Air Force lieutenant colonel in dress grays poked his head out behind a curtain into the cabin. His copilot, a female Sergeant Major, talked with a few crewmembers and aides before disappearing back into the cockpit.
“Go ahead. Gun it, Colonel.”

“I like the sound of that, sir.” He grinned, before going back to set a course for Atkemri.

The gunmetal-and-burgundy plane roared down from the sky, its sleek, supersonic form touching down on the tarmac. Two YF-17 Crusader swept-wing escorts followed, with an advanced XF-45 VTOL multirole fighter bringing up the rear.
Shang, his group, and 8 well-armed Exodian Secret Service agents descended from the plane- Shang was dressed in a white Mandarin suit and black ceramic buttons, a white dress shirt, and a black tie, Shirelle and Wesley in light dresses and blazers over them, and Skinner in a gray lounge suit.
The fighter pilots exited their cockpits to salute the Governor, then walked over for refueling with the Atkemrian ground crews alongside 4 Secret Service operatives, while the group and the remaining security boarded a silver Rolls-Royce limousine (stored in the plane’s belly) bound for the Angel’s Alliance headquarters in Holom.

“Lucky!” Shang called out jovially, sacrificing formality for a moment to greet a close friend of his as he stepped out of the limousine. A bit surprised to see a humanoid robot talking with them, Shang regained his composure after a second and spoke to the Skyhookedians.
“President Dixon and Vice President James. It’s a pleasure to meet you in person- I’m Governor William Shang. Shang Yong is my Chinese name, but call me William or Will.” He extended his hand for a shake, then turned to the robot, eyes a bit wide- “Mr. John Walker, I presume? Truly a technological marvel.”

Shang regained his composure after a second and spoke to the Skyhookedians.
“President Dixon and Vice President James. It’s a pleasure to meet you in person- I’m Governor William Shang. Shang Yong is my Chinese name, but call me William or Will.” He extended his hand for a shake, then turned to the robot, eyes a bit wide- “Mr. John Walker, I presume? Truly a technological marvel.”

Stan Dixon and Casey James shake hands with William Shang - "A pleasure to meet ya', William."-Stan says.

Meanwhile, John Walker AI responds Shang, and tells about himself - "Yes, I am John Walker AI. Indeed, I am one of the pinnacles of our technology, as I can be classified as sapient, self-aware synthetic. Development of a compact quantum processor, that can process sapient AI and memory storage device, capable of keeping that much data, plus this body, cost us six billions kroner and took us four years. This is indeed a breakthrough. However, those components were never intended for mass production, so it will take decades if not centuries, before we can produce more synthetics on mass scale."

Lucky laughed at the tide pod comment by Stan "Well at least they're not eating tide pods. It'll get better eventually, I mean it could be much worse like a civil war or something."

As Lucky talked he saw his close friend, William Shang. "William! How have you been? It's been a while." the joy in Lucky's voice was evident.

Vijiers pushed the vent's cover aside, the metal grate clattered to the floor as the President of Purnelaw pulled himself out of the service shaft on the rooftop of the Angel's Alliance Headquarters. How he had found himself in this situation, he wasn't exactly sure, he had taken a left, went down a flight of stairs..

Standing up, he took a moment to compose himself and dust his jacket off. Hopefully, his security detail wasn't too worried. Who was he kidding? The head of security must be in a near constant state of panic.
He walked over to the edge of the roof to orient himself, suprisingly, he had made it to the Angel's Alliance HQ Building. Maybe he should discuss security perameters with Lucky at some other date. Speaking of world leaders, he spotted Lucky, Shang, and.. Stan Dixon?
I hope I remembered that name correctly, he thought, as he hopped a fence and slid down an access ladder on the roof in order to meet them.

Tucking and rolling on the final few foot drop down the lowest part of the roof, behind two very suprised looking Atkemrian security guards, he approached the gaggle of leaders from the back, opening with his usual smile and jovial tone:
"Good to see you all here! I hope I'm not late."

Shang nodded at John Walker's response. "They've certainly built you well, with an obvious preference for quality. We've achieved basic AI in our infantry drones, but nothing of this sort. You're a well-built machine, Mr. Walker, and from what I've observed," he nodded for extra effect- "a well-natured person as well."

Seeing Lucky, Shang greeted him genially, tapping him good-naturedly on the shoulder with a smile. "You're right, it's been quite a while. I've been holding out, doing fine." He said with a wink. He looked around at the new headquarters, a grandiose piece of architecture with both native African and colonial European overtones, seemingly to culturally match the Oriental, postmodern style of the Angel's Alliance atrium hall and offices at Shang's own Kingstrom Base. "Quite the gig you've got around here. It looks wonderful-"

Yelping, momentarily saying multiple rapid-fire obscenities in Mandarin and Cantonese, Shang was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the Purnelewian President Dominall Vijiers from a ventilation shaft. He burst out laughing, doubled over until Vijiers descended in an awkward acrobatic maneuver to the ground.
"THAT... That was awesome. I have to admit... Lucky, you might want to work on security, but..." he was out of breath. "Vijiers, I swear, now that you've made that entrance, I'm going to top it the hell off. I'm going to sit in the life raft of the Astra and have it pushed off without a parachute." unaware of his rambling, Shang continued. "I actually did fall out of a plane without a parachute in a life raft. On my ninth birthday. It wasn't a pleasant experience- but I'm doing it again. I'm not getting shown up."

Wiping his brow, he extended a hand to shake for Vijiers. "I'm sorry, my man." He sheepishly smiled. "That was incredible. I couldn't help it."

Vijiers chuckled, and cracked an even wider smile, "Yeah, I got a bit lost on the way from the airport, you could say." he walked over, heartily shaking the Exodian President's hand. "I'm glad to have been of some entertainment, Shang."
He took a quick second to re-adjust his collar and straighten his tie, which had come misaligned from his jump. "Anyway," He continued, "Just try to be safe with your stunt, I don't want the governor of Exodia killed while trying to relive their ninth birthday memories, but I'm surprised that we've both had ..interesting experiences with aircraft."

(To explain it a bit better, Vijiers rolled as he hit the ground in order to prevent injury, rather than doing a flip in midair, probably should've specified a bit more.)

Lucky was very proud that the summit was going so well despite the fact that nothing official had actually been discussed yet. Of course it would be good if more people had actually came but at least the summit was going along smoothly.

While thinking Vijiers arrival from the ventilation shaft caught Lucky off guard causing him to scream which slowly became a laugh. "Dominall you gave me a heart attack. How'd you get in the vents anyway?" Upon hearing Shang's comment on security he laughed for a few seconds before speaking "Yes, I will have to make sure world leaders aren't dropping out of ventilation shafts. I can't believe I didn't think of that as a threat as obvious as it is" he added sarcastically before laughing a bit more.

"Anyways I think we're right about ready to hold the summit. There might be some last second arrivals" Lucky said. He was beginning to get impatient and a little frustrated that only 4 leaders had arrived seeing as he had put a lot of time into organizing this summit. Not to mention the money put into building the headquarters

"Dude, headquarters decor is awesome! What architect styles did your builders use for inspiration? Also, yould you like a joint?"-Casey James asks this question, just to shorten the time before summit, and lights his joint. Then, he starts smoking it, while admiring local sights.

Meanwhile, Stan Dixon takes a gulp from his flask and talks to Vijiers: "Oh, howdy partner. That's some hell of a stunt ya' did! Far better than me, when I tried to escape some boring meeting with Belarusian ambassador that way. Please have mah' respect and this flask as a gift for such appearence. I am drunk, so I am that generous. Don't miss that chance."

John Walker AI just thanked Lucky for such warm words about him, and then walked in the halls, until one of his legs suddenly stopped moving, and he tripped over.

-"Damn malware! Yes, that happened again, some virus locked my left leg. Initializing diagnostic process: 10%... 40%... 70%... 100% Done. 32 viruses and 2 miners detected. Deleting... Done. Rebooting... Done."-He says, and gets up.

"Your legs can get hacked? That seems like a bit of a security oversight."
Vijiers asked, a bit of concern in his voice. He had stopped walking into the building and turned towards the Skyhookedian(?) leader as the robotic man stood himself up. Vijiers glanced over at Lucky, saying,
"Oh, and before I forget, there were a few blind spots in your camera system, among other things."

Lucky laughed awkwardly as Casey offered him the joint "Casey weed is illegal in Atkemri. I thought you would know but that's fine. If you're sober enough to understand we based this off the Phynx. It was a Athenian building where they had their elections and such."

He looked over to his right and saw John Walker fall over because his leg was hacked. "At least a robot uprising can be beat with a few viruses" he whispered under his breath hoping he wouldn't be heard.

Then Vijiers mentioned a security oversight and that was highly disappointing. He had put around 500 million into this for a mistake as simple as that? "So there are some serious oversights. Thanks for telling me Vijiers I'll take care of it." the summit seemed to be quickly going south and it would be best to start the summit. He gestured towards the summit room and requested for the leaders to come in

Both amused and concerned at Walker's... walking problem, Shang stopped for a moment- before Lucky gestured towards the door.
Being a gentleman and a friend, he opened the door to the summit room and held it open with his back.

"Phynx? Oh, maybe you wanted to say Pnyx. So you based the HQ after a craddle of democracy? Groove move, man! Even though original greek democracy was only for rich..."-Casey says and proceeds to the room together with John Walker AI and Stan Dixon.

-"I wonder, what will be discussed. Gotta be somethin' about economics, or maybe rules and regulations for countries."-Stan says to John Walker AI

-"If we play our cards right, there is probability of getting our hands on tech or rare strategic resources. Nothing to worry about."-John Walker AI

Vijiers offered a quick 'thank you' to Shang as he passed through the doorway into the conference room.
He looked at the seating arrangement, and then back at the group behind him. "Were you expecting a few more visitors, Lucky?"
