So long as it's combat capabilities are nonexistent or severely limited then is should be fine. A few people have astromech droids so it should be fine. Also, are you making a Knight or Apprentice? We need more of the latter.

Definitely Apprentice. He's only recently awakened to the fact that he's force sensitive and not just exceptionally lucky. The idea being he's a good mechanic but, will have to learn to be a Jedi. He can build a droid from scratch but doesn't know which end of the lightsaber to hold.

Sounds good. Look forward to seeing it.

I'm mostly getting hung up on the race right now... Any suggestions?
It appears I'm an INTP-T. You're not gonna get much more about me.

Do you want something more human or less human?
Gungan Jedi? Nikto? Faleen? Echani?

Lightsaber: Green Training Saber, scuffs along the seams from where A'ro has tried to take it apart with his tools.
Ship: Former Crewmember on the Lucky Raan
Equipment: A-D3L (Droid Companion), Tool Belt, Hydrospanner, Modified SC-4 Blaster Pistol, Splicer tools.

Personality: Inquisitive, Paranoid, and poorly socialized. He'd much rather be building a friend than making one
Likes: Learning how things are put together and function, Tracing pictures from star maps, Tinkering, Ghost stories
Dislikes: The Whole... Socializing... Thing... ick, People who believe in Ghost Stories, The Empire
Goals: Understand the Force Sensitivity that he views as his Father’s/Brother’s, Find his lost Sister
Fears: Trandoshans(Generally), Womp rats(Don't Ask), Not living up to his brother(REALLY Don't ask)

Background:
A'ro, born A'ro Raan, was the youngest of three children of Yi Raan, a Baran Do Sage, and Cha Raan, a tenured educator on Dorin. A'ro and his family lived in the hinterlands away from the Spaceports on Dorin for two reasons, first, his father knew his force sensitivity put a target on his back when the new Imperial Government started massacring the "Traitorous" Jedi, second both his parents were prominent members of the Dorin Rebel Cell. Despite all this the first six years of A'ro's life was happy and idyllic, following around and emulating his older brother Vurs and playing with his older sister Merru. Then the ISB came to Dorin and the Imperial Forces came down in force on the Dorin Rebel Cell. Knowing the Imperials were coming for them the family decided to split up. Cha would take the younger children, A'ro and his sister Merru, and smuggle themselves off the planet. Meanwhile, Yi and A'ro's older brother would go to ground on Dorin and try to link back up with what's left of the cell.

His mother had intended for her and the children to make their way to the only other Rebel Cell that they were aware on Ithor. However, a day into the journey A'ro felt the unfamiliar vibrations of the hyperdrive stop and then a strange hissing language and blaster fire from outside the cargo hold. A'ro was the smallest so his mother had him hide in a smuggler hold, just in time as a pair of Trandoshans blasted into the area that the family was hiding out in. He was helpless to watch as his mother attempted to protect his sister but was killed by the Trandoshans, her body falling on false floor tile A'ro was hidden beneath. Leaving him helpless to watch as the slavers dragged his sister away. The sounds of blaster fire ended and before long the ship was silent, and he sat there alone trapped behind his mother’s body.

A'ro sat there for over a day before a passing free trade ship found the abandoned ship. It didn’t take long for the crew of the free trade ship to find the grisly scene in the cargo hold. Upon hearing non-hissing voices, he was able to make enough sound for the newcomers to find him. Among this crew being a Duros Smuggler Mudaid Stelwaas. The captain of the Free Trader claimed the ship as salvage including A'ro who was forced to join the crew. During his time as essentially a cabin boy aboard the ship A’ro slowly developed a close friendship with Mudaid, who didn’t like the way the rest of the crew had been treating the child. This eventually culminated in Mudaid “Mud” and A’ro sneaking off the ship after stealing the captain's credit cache and sending a tip to local Imperial authorities a smuggler ship masquerading as a free trader. Combining the bounty for the tip and the stolen credits, the pair bought a Class 720 Freighter and a few hundred kilos of deathsticks and left to for their first perfectly reputable job.

Thus, begun A'ro's life as a galaxy treading vagrant and scoundrel. For the next ten years, A'ro and Mudaid practiced their trade as smugglers, living as itinerant spacers, changing their names and Ship ID to stay one step ahead of Imperial authorities and the occasional Crime Lord they drew the ire of. Traveling the length and breadth of the galaxy and through it all trying to avoiding business with the growing rebel movement that tore A'ro's family apart. During these adventures A'ro discovered he had a natural affinity for machines, slowly taking responsibility for maintaining the ship. Over time he would retool A-3DL, his mother’s teaching aide droid, to be a maintenance assistant (holding tools and parts and keeping track of a vast database of technical specs), and he would eventually begin thinking of this droid as family, his last connection to his mother.

Following the Battle of Endor Mud and A'ro decided that maybe doing business with the Alliance wasn’t the worst idea, and began doing small-time gun running for Rebel Cells still inside Imperial controlled space. During one of these runs to Dorin they met the Leader of the Dorin Rebel Cell, Vurs Raan, A’ro’s older brother. Now a Baran Do Sage and a rebel leader like their father before them, who informed A’ro that he had taken command of the cell after an ISB agent assassinated their father. After their tearful reunion, A’ro became resolute in the determination to help Dorin and the whole of the Rebel Alliance overthrow the Empire as revenge for his family. Mud agreed to help him any way possible, so long as he could turn a profit.

After two years of doggedly supporting the Rebellion via their gun running, the Empire finally lost Coruscant and Dorin was finally free of oppression. As the Dorin Government began reorganizing itself Vurs invited his brother back to be apart of Kel Dor Society. For a time A’ro stayed and helped his brother, but he found himself poorly acclimated for Dorin Society. In time he linked back up with Mud who had started a ‘legitimate merchant’ company within the republic. The pair left for the edges of the galaxy once again embarking on a new mission, finding his lost sister. They ventured into hives of scum and villainy across the galaxy and attempted to track the Trandoshan slavers from over a decade ago. After a few years, they had been making progress and had even uncovered the name of the slaver’s ship when they got news from Dorin that Vurs was Terminally ill.

They raced back to Dorin and arrived in time for A’ro to speak with his brother on his deathbed. The brothers finally reconciled with each other, mending the tense good by they left with when A’ro left the planet. Vurs also informed A’ro that he was also Force Sensitive and as a last request asked A’ro to train his abilities and attempt to protect and serve Dorin and the Republic that had helped Dorin win its freedom. Not long after that Vurs passed.

A’ro took his brother’s request to heart and intended to follow through with them. However, many of the Baran Do had been eradicated during the Imperial Occupation and A’ro had poor relationships with most of those that remained. He was aware of Luke Skywalker’s academy and, despite his personal reservations, believed it to be the best way to follow through on his brother’s wishes. So after settling some other affairs on Dorin, Mud and A’ro traveled to D’qar. The pair then wished each other goodbye, and A’ro told Mud that he was like a father to him. After a final embrace, A’ro left the ship that was his home for over a decade and armed with only a pack containing all his worldly possessions and a determination to not fail at least one part of his family A’ro entered the academy.

Name: Jalelvi Garekk
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Species: Human

Appearance:
Image
Height: 6'0 ft
Weight: 185 lbs

Rank: Apprentice

Lightsaber: Training light saber, Makashi style.
Ship: None
Equipment: Some rations for missions, K-16 Bryar pistol,

Personality: Jalelvi, or Jale as he likes to be called, has somewhat of an anxious and euphoric demeanor. He tries to do the best he can and always do what is considered the right thing by the Jedi code, though sometimes he struggles with putting his emotions in control, mostly due to his strained relation with his father (uncle). Most of the time he listens to those that would be considered wiser than himself, but at times he tries to think independently and do things that he may think could help in missions, though that itself causes him to doubt himself when he tries to. Overall he tries to keep a calm and outgoing mannerism while also exhibiting knowledge of current situations as to not disappoint anyone, but at times he tries to hard to the point that he messes up constantly.
Likes: Bantha milk, reading, playing Chatta-ragul
Dislikes: People who are too over their heads. Irresponsible people.
Goals: To be part of something greater, to belong and to know what he is doing is for a greater good.
Fears: Never meeting expectations and disappointing those around him, or at worse causing their deaths.

Background: Jale was born to unknown parents, during the height of the empire, his father was a Jedi who had managed to surivive order 66, he knew his son was force sensitive by nature, they needed to hide him away since they would never be able to travel away from the empire and put their kid at risk. At the age of 2 Jale was left under the care of his uncle, Loe Garekk at the planet of Bothawui which was under very slight Empire control at the time and they hoped he could grow a somewhat normal childhood, given that both were under pursuit by the Empire. Loe was reluctant at first, the child being force sensitive he couldn't believe and didn't want to believe but he knew the child would die if it remained with the parent, he couldn't let a child die. Loe swore he'd raise Jale as his own and even give him his last name to keep him safe, but the parents could never return at all, the parents went off into the outer rim never to be heard from again. Jale grew with Loe under the assumption he was his son and that his mother had died due to childbirth, Loe was a somewhat harsh but fair guardian, keeping him in school and teaching him how to cook, hunt, and do other activities, while keeping the legends of light saber wielding maniacs away from him. This didn't last for long as at the age of 5, Jale stumbled upon an old man who seemed to tell stories of some defenders of peace that would use lightsabers to fight against bad people, Jale was enchanted with the stories among other human and Bothan children. Fortunately Loe was able to find Jale and get him away from this old man who talked too much, he took him home after that with fear and uncertainty that it had been too late. Jale didn't understand what this whole thing meant at the time, his uncle explained to him that what the old man had said were nothing but rubbish and he should forget about it.

It was during the Rebellion's height that Jale began to understand more about the abilities he had, wanting to learn more about it. With rebel propaganda arriving on Botahnwui, Jale heard stories of a man known as Luke Skywalker and his fight against the Empire. The years that followed after the destruction of the second death star and the death of the Emperor himself much to Loe's misfortune the news of Skywalker's adventures and the return of the fabled Jedi reached Jale's ears and he became enchanted with the idea of light saber wielding defenders of peace that would stand up to the Empire. Jale was enthusiastic about learning more of the Jedi, and alongside other kids he played as if he were a Jedi, everyday trying hard to move objects with his mind and at times playfully "mind tricking" his father, Loe. Loe for his part lamented that he had stayed in Bothanwui and allowed Jale to be exposed to the farce of the Jedi. Jale grew into his teenage years as the very small Imperial contingent in the planet was beaten back by the Rebellion and the sympathizing population. Soon the New Republic was established and news of the Jedi Order led by the Skywalker reached Bothanwui. For years Jale awaited with eagerness for him to someday come to Bothanwui, Loe was unsurprisingly frustrated.

Eventually in 14 ABY, at the age of 17 and nearing 18, Jale found out that a new Jedi Academy was under construction, and was determined to be part of it. Loe snapped at him and a fierce argument happened between the two. "I made a promise to keep you away from that nonsense! Don't you understand son, the Jedi are no better than the ones they claimed to fight!" Was one of the things Loe had said that stuck with Jale as he finally left home to seek one of the many Knights sent by Skywalker himself in search for force sensitives. Loe could only see as his son left to find his own destiny, one Loe had never been able to stop. Jale made his way to a Knight that had been at Drev'starn in search for force sensitives. Though initially mocked by some Bothans, Jale convinced the Knight to check for whatever could prove he was force sensitive, the Knight did so and through unknown abilities to Jale he saw the force in the kid, the knight was convinced and told Jale that he could come with him and be part of the academy. Sometime before he left, Loe arrived to wish Jale luck, giving him a blaster pistol for protection and telling him that if he ever needed someplace to stay if the whole Jedi thing didn't work out, he had him and his home for anything. And so Jale has arrived fresh to the Jedi Academy in D'Qar, with excitement and wish to meet his idol and make him proud as well, though he has had doubts about what his father meant by "Making a promise" who would he had made a promise to, if his mother died when he was born, who did he promise it to?
Skills:
  • Strong Connection with the Force since birth. Since he was a child he was able to concentrate enough to partially lift objects as well as have a connection with those close to him, kind of knowing what they were doing.
  • Dedicated, once he has his mind set on something he will work hard to get it.
  • Determined, he has strong will to pass adversities, something he might have inherited from his real father.
  • Somewhat skillful with a blaster, in his time in Bothanwui he went hunting with his father (uncle) and showed skill with a blaster.
Weaknesses:
  • Naive, he has a very small minded view of things. He sees the Jedi as fully good guys and doesn't even know of such thing as the Sith and the dark side, this makes him prone be swayed by the dark as he knows not what it is.
  • Lacks experience, his life was pretty much absent of any fighting. Loe constantly keeping taps on him made it so Jale never actually took part of the rebellion or any fighting of any kind.
  • Lack knowledge in the true ways of the force. He has a very ignorant view of the force, he sees it as mere powers that allow one to lift stuff and doesn't understand the two sides of the force. He needs much guidance in this, especially if he wants to become a knight.
  • Overly anxious, he's still pretty much a kid and pretty much look at this chance to become a Jedi as an adventure he will be able to finally have. Thus it's a hinder on his mind and concentration.

So, he somehow has a greater force affinity than both Luke and Anakin Skywalker, the latter of which had literally the highest midichlorian count ever recorded.

Jale grew with his uncle under the assumption he was his son and that his mother had died due to childbirth, Loe was a somewhat harsh but fair guardian, keeping Jale out of any knowledge that there were people out there once known as the Jedi and that he had any sort of ability they might posses. Jale uncovered his force skills at the age of 5, when in a fit of anger with some Bothan kids who had taken his favorite toy from him many objects around him began to float. Fortunately Loe was able to grab Jale and break his concentration so the objects would fall back on the ground, he took him home after that with fear and uncertainty that someone had seen the kid doing Jedi tricks. Jale didn't understand what this whole thing meant at the time.

Though initially mocked by some Bothans, Jale convinced the Knight to check for whatever could prove he was force sensitive, the Knight did so and guided Jale in concentrating his connection with the force, Jale was then able to lift some tables up in the air and with that the knight was convinced he told Jale that he could come with him and be part of the academy.

Change this please.

"Sort of Affinity" =/= "Greater force than THE Luke and THE Anakin Skywalker"

I never said he had greater affinity than both of them. With due respect don't put words in what I write.

Anakin didn't display any form of affinity in the force until he was a Padawan.
Luke didn't show any form of affinity until he was on the Death Star.
Most force sensitives don't show any affinity until they get pulled up to the Jedi Academy and trained.

Your character is currently more force sensitive than both Luke and Anakin Skywalker. Change it.

Edit is insufficient. I will reiterate, you very much need training to use the Force. Which he did not have as a child.

Recent events in TFA and TLJ kind of makes that argument void. But I edited the app.

Having no prior training with the Force it seems unlikely you could move a table just by concentrating (which I assume are heavy). Even Luke had three years between Yavin to Hoth to figure things out before being able to life anything considerably heavy. Otherwise, aside from a few inconsistencies in the beginning where it mentions Jedi with no context, it's not bad. It does look reminiscent to Luke's childhood though. Maybe try to diversify a bit?
