No one cares. If you're carrying for a legal reason then you're golden. If you're carrying because you want to stab someone then you're in trouble.

I eagerly await the effectiveness of knife control.

How do you determine whose carrying it to stab someone, though. Do they have notes attached saying they're going to stab someone with them?

You ask them. If they don't have a good, credible reason then you confiscate/arrest them.

Does it apply to all knives (like butter knives) or, uh, just assault knives?

What good reason would someone have for carrying a butter knife?

I've walked the streets in the past with blades that would get you locked up for sure here. But I was also carrying the other things that made it clear I was carrying for good reason.

All knives with a sharpened edge (so not butter knives) except for non-locking folding knives with a sharpened edge no more than 3 inches long.

Where were you on this day twenty years ago, when the DUP started opposing the Good Friday Agreement?

At Primary School, so probably also throwing a temper tantrum and refusing to take part in group activities.
Furthermore, I consider that feminism must be destroyed.

Well as the name suggests, it was Good Friday, so you might have been off school for Easter, throwing a tantrum at home.

Unless Easter holidays are Catholic decadence and good Protestant Britain doesn't hold with such things.

Cloudy memories of a rugby game on Good Friday come to mind, so possibly I was pissing about on a field trying not to get crushed by an angry pack or other kids...?

It's the 20th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement! Pity there's no functioning NI government to celebrate it.

Meanwhile, NI's chief constable has said that some loyalist groups are now "just crime gangs". You don't fucking say?
