What are some national tragedies or traumatic experiences your nation has gone through? Is it still taught, does it still bring a cold silence in public events?

What was the event, and how are your people mourning it? Is it suppressed either by the state or by the people, used to influence current policy, or taken day by day at a time?

Currently, my nation has experienced no national tragedies or any substantially significant. I just made this to view what other nation's have gone through.

Most likely the biggest tragedy ever experienced by Kenmoria was the thousands of lives lost during WWII. It still has a great impact upon the policy making of the country.

World War one is considered the greatest tragedy experienced by Freilibre, although the Indo-Freilibran War of 2003 is a recent tragedy that could also be interpreted as one. Freilibre narrowly avoided World War two when it pulled out of the allied powers and remained neutral, like Switzerland.

On 1/1/2018, a group of N.A.L.A supporters dumped massive bags of Cartefentanil on a crowd attending a New Year's celebration concert. Over 18,000 were killed, most of these dying on the spot by overdose with the deadly drug. You can get a Cartefentanil overdose by getting a dose the size of a grain of salt on your skin, and there have been no overdose survivors. The entire capital was under quarantine and civilians had to live with only filtered air for three months before the toxic white dust plume was cleaned up.

The loss of the fishing trawler Yvegessund in 1998 with the loss of all 14 crew is generally considered the worst national tragedy in recent memory.

The Gandoor City Bombing

In 1999, 26 members of the Gandoor Nationalist Revolutionary Society, a far-right fascist organization which split from the Gandoor Fascist Party in 1992, detonated several car bombs in a large crowd in our capital of Gandoor City. 842 people were killed as a result of the explosions and an additional 1200 were injured.

The GNRS had originally intended to use the bombing as a distraction while other members of their organization snuck into the Forum and held the Members of the Forum hostage. Ultimately, however, only the bombing occurred.

All 26 members responsible for the bombing, as well as GNRS leader Daisuke Watanabe were arrested in May 2001 and eventually all were sentenced to either death or 75 years imprisonment. Following the 2003 abolition of capital punishment, all members who had been sentenced to death had their sentences commuted to 75 years imprisonment.

The GNRS would disband themselves eight months after these arrests.

The greatest tragedy to befall the Kingdom was probably the prolific bombing of Újferőm. Throughout the bloody civil war, rebel forces continuously bombed the capital city with deadly car-bombs and suicide bombers, often with no regard for civilian life. Historians estimate that a quarter of the city's population was killed in the attacks.

The Black Friday massacre (April 13th) is generally considered a day that Radiatians don't forget.

It occurred over 60 years ago, but it was the day that the communist regime ordered troops to open fire on pro-democracy demonstrators, killing over 1000 and ultimately leading to the collapse of communism 10 years later.

The one that still has shockwaves to this day, almost 30 years later, was the assassination of Kaiser Adolph Wolfe I and his wife.

On March 9th 1970 leftist terrorists attacked the Capitol Building in Richmond, Virginia, killing four Senators and three Representatives, all from the Republican Party. An additional six Senators and four Representatives were injured, also all Republicans.

The 22nd March 2004 Lansadas Attacks.

In total, 3 buildings were bombed.
5 Metro trains had shootings.
2 buildings suffered arson attacks where those inside were barred from evacuation and died.
1 park suffered a shooting.
Arlington Council Shopping Centre in Arlington Council, Lansadas was bombed too killing several.

In total, a minimum of 500 people died, and no exact number can be declared due to the nature of what happened. The perpetrators who survived the attacks where later tortured on live TV. Those who survived the torture were burnt alive. Lansadas has fully recovered and is still the tourist hotspot it is today. In fact the summer after saw more tourists than previously due to those wishing to show solidarity for what happened. We actively teach this in schools and that those who organised these attacks (far right terror group Huterrics First) could not win against the Union. All Huterrics First supporters were tracked down and killed in 2015.

On August 6th, 2021, terrorists from Balochistan funded by the West Bharaati government launches multiple terrorist attacks in the cities of Moscow, Sankt Petersburg, Ostberlin, Almaty, Astana, Ashgabat, Bishkek, Tashkent, and Dushanbe. The worst of these terrorist attacks were the attacks in Ashgabat, with the bombings of 3 colleges, and 1 concert. The total casualties of the August 6th attacks amount to roughly 7,300.

Probably the biggest tragedy endured by Vyzhva and her people, was when Viktor Sokolov, widely known as the 'Father of Modern Vyzhva' or the 'Initiating Paramount Director of The Vyzhvan People', passed away. The date of his death has been turned into a national holiday dedicated to the mourning of his death.

The most recent tragedy in The Krainin Isles is the 2016 Terrorist Attacks.

On 17 January 2016, a group of terrorists attacked three locations within Krainin: the King Richards Bus Depot in Horrison, Embassy Lane in Seplan, and the Grand Feron Hotel in Leckin. These three attacks led to the deaths of 134 (not including terrorists) and with around 330 injured.

The attacks in Horrison and Seplan were just car bombings. The attack on the Grand Feron Hotel started with a bomb and then had a shootout. By the end of the shootout, there were 9 terrorists dead and one military personnel dead. 20 people were arrested on suspicion of being connected to the bombings.

Another major tragedy in Krainin history would be the assassination of King Alexander III.

On 6 May 1802, King Alexander III and his family were in a parade going through Leckin. A group of assassins came out of the crowd and shot at the royal family as they passed. Queen Caroline, Alexander's wife, died almost instantly from a gunshot. The King and his 7-year-old son, Prince Michael, were transported to a local hospital. King Alexander died around two and a half hours after the shooting and Prince Michael died about four hours after his father.

When the terrorist group Carriebean de Islameca Statenski (CIS) launched a coordinated terrorist attack on the capital on January 1st-2nd, 2012, with over 2,308 people killed and another 2,046 people wounded. The attacks were sparked because of outrage at the Carriebeanian Nuclear Lotteries which obliterate entire cities of Carriebean and attempted to assassinate President John Taylor Jr,which failed because of his absence from the nation at the time, then at a meeting with then american president George W. Bush and remarking over the similarities in appearance.

When the terrorist group NILE (Namibian Independent Legionary Enforcers) conducted the 2000 capital day bombings in the cities of Tortuga and Carriebean City. Seventy seven timed detonations of explosive took place all across the city. A total of 3,674 people were killed, with another 3,045 people wounded in the bombings. This prompted the Carriebeanian invasion of Namibia from 2000-2013, in which a further 400,000 namibians and 30,000 carriebeanians would die, with another 1 million fleeing the country. The SWAPO political government was overthrown within a year and the Democratic Action for Namas was instated as the "rightful government." This prompted another series of terrorist attacks in mid 2002 and early 2003, with a collection of bus bombings in Echigo resulting in the deaths of 700 people.

The Amanzo Liberation Front, more commonly referred to as the ELA, has conducted countless boarder raids between Carriebean and neighboring Brazil. In 2010, they smuggled in seventy tons of ricin powder and covered a massive festival of 300,000 protesters with the powder, causing nearly 106,705 deaths, along with another 38,506 deaths from trampling during the mass panic of the crowd.

Ironically, though Fatatatutians are a very collective people with strong empathy, we really only have personal tragedies. As a foreign leader reputedly said, "A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic." Apparently, we are not mathematically-oriented enough to quantify tragedy.

On 21 December, 2014, and what is widely recognised as the Day of Ashes and Tears.
A bomber dropped off a package at the Dave Barrett Jones Building, also the third tallest building in the nation, which was taken into security and when opened destroyed the security office and killed 300 security personnel reportedly instantly.
On 25 December, 2014, and what is known worldwide as Christmas.
The DBJ Building began to buckle and tilt towards the Galaxy Tower across the street from it, which would've likely resulted in thousands of deaths considering the amount of people inside the Galaxy Tower.
However the building instead fell straight down killing an unreleased number estimated in the thousands and destroying the building completely.
It was believed the return of employees along with the damage to the building caused this, however most companies using the building could not afford any more time off and generally on Christmas, employees in the affected offices were not given the breaks now mandated by National Law.
