But back on topic, you know who else must be drinking and smoking right now? Trump, cause he just got himself a new lawyer. Apparently it's the same guy handled Clinton's impeachment.

He has a Republican Congress which should be loyal to him, and he's worried about impeachment. What do you all think of this? I think it's a sign he's preparing to fire the deputy AG or the special counsel.

He so wants to fire Mueller.. but even he's not dumb enough to think he can right now. Nixon's end was firing the AG, Trump's would be firing Mueller.

How bout Rosenstien though, what if Trump fires him? Then he could get a guy who would be more loyal in there. He couldn't have the guy fire Mueller, a la Nixon, but couldn't the new person there do everything in their power to slow down the investigation?

Id argue for raising the drinking and smoking age to 25, when people's brains are fully developed, but that's neither here nor there.

Ah, but Trump neither drinks nor smokes.

He has a Republican Congress which should be loyal to him, and he's worried about impeachment. What do you all think of this? I think it's a sign he's preparing to fire the deputy AG or the special counsel.

Everyone else has been expecting impeachment for a while now. If Trump is starting to expect it, it can't be far off.

It’s the death penalty part I have a problem with

Drug offenses are simply non-violent. The death penalty should only apply to violent crime, if at all.

No, I am against the death penalty because I think it is better to give the condemned time to repent. Selling serious offenders into slavery would be preferable to either life in prison or death. But rejecting the death penalty because the state "doesn't have the right" is extremely questionable, because it suggest either that "no one deserves to die", or that the state is not competent to determine punishment. The first is plainly absurd, and the second undercuts the entire legitimacy of the justice system.

The justice system undermines itself just fine on its own.

How to get hired by Trump: Forward a wackado theory that makes him look like a victim.

This whole thing is going to get ten times more exasperating if they amp up the deep state conspiracy theory bullshit.
