Background/History: A graduate of the Royal Institute of Technology in the class of 2037, it was not at all obvious that Rasmus had a life of politics ahead of him. He initially found work as a researcher and engineer in Bofors, a major defence subcontractor of the Swedish government at the time. He rose rapidly through the ranks of the Electrical Engineers' Union of Sweden, bringing him into several conflicts over employee grievances with corporate management and earning him the ire of Bofors leadership. He eventually was pressured to leave the company, and officially adopted politics as a career on the basis of the influence he gathered and contacts he met during his time at the union, eventually being elected into the Stockholm City Council in 2072 and entering the newly-formed Nordic Council Department of Industry as a policymaker in 2076. A master manipulator and very much a peoples person, Rasmus rose into prominence in the so-called "Nordic Red Bloc" and was nominated Secretary-General in 2139 with support from that same bloc.

She is the kind of openminded person that few people have anything bad to say about, although she is nonetheless aware of the value of discretion in the maintenance of friendships.
Personal Weapons: Tanja is personally armed with her standard officer's kinetic pistol, provided to her by the Nordic Space Force in accordance with her status.
Skills: Rapid thinking. Tanja is used to thinking on her feet and communicating laconically when she needs to, which are great assets to have for a person in a military command position.
