Stabbing people is not the same as being able to murder people from a distance...So that comparison is dumb. You're also more likely to survive a stab wound than a gun shot.

While there are rare extreme cases, I can't just go raid a school and stab 17 people to death nearly as easy as if I had an AR-15.

Guns are 1 problem. Terrorist attacks using trucks is another separate problem as are acid attacks.

Logically you deal with each problem differently because each situation is unique. I'm not sure what you're trying to imply?
