Legatia and Jebs are correct, the two of them are going out. CDS and I decided that quite some time ago. There was even an incident with the Jetpack Fairy and his misconceptions about the situation.

There was a game a while back (Subnautica, I want to say?) that was like Space Engineers but for ships, but I think it was for the wrong era. Can't say I know of anything that'd be useful for here. Sorry. KSP has the WWII Ship Parts mod and Naval Artillery Systems, but it can be a bit tricky to get aesthetics right, and KSP doesn't like vehicles with high part counts. You'd also need a separate mod for any painting you'd want to do. KSP's more useful for aircraft designing than ship designing.Legatia wrote:

Can I suggest From the Depths?

Hm... Miuil is planning something, maybe he could check that out. Or he could try and get something to eat from the twins (emphasis on try). Or he could meet one of the new arrivals.Jebslund wrote:BTW, not to rush you and Selks, but any ruling post changes?
Post changes as in editing your post? Or in which regard?

The Corrupted Maschinenteufel-II's paint is a demonic black, with an almost oily appearance. Its intakes have been replaced by demonic eyes, a demonic, sharp-toothed mouth has appeared on the nose, and two sickly green imps sit in the cockpit. Description:
A wild improvement on previous incarnations, the G variant of the Fliegendewaffel features vastly improved top speed and climb rate, improvements in stealth technology, and radar, based on data from 1950 war games and combat actions. The aircraft's armor has been slightly improved, and additional spars have been added to improve airframe impact resistance, though the main improvements have been to engine power, stealth, and armament.
The Corrupted Fliegendewaffel Ausf. G, as did its predecessor, is similar in appearance to the Vought XF5U Flying Flapjack. The paint, rather than an ocean blue, is black with an almost oily appearance, its intakes have been replaced with demonic eyes, and two sickly green imps sit in the cockpit. Description:
The Geisterfledermaus (Ghost Bat) is a jet-powered flying wing aircraft, similar in appearance to the Horton Ho-229, which serves as a dedicated night strike bomber and test platform for Kermanic stealth aircraft technology and techniques. Names for the high-pitched screech of its engines and flying wing shape, the night fighter serves as a surprise attacker, its screeching engines often being the first sign of attack.
The Corrupted Geisterfledermaus, unlike other corrupted Kermanic aircraft, retains its original paint: Dark shades of gray in a camouflage pattern which makes it much harder to see in the dark, chosen by the Kermanic Air Ministry after multiple trials to see what paint job would be most effective for a night fighter. Its cockpit is gone, replaced by a solid dome in the same shape, and a sharp-fanged mouth has grown out of its nose. The entire aircraft radiates a black demonic aura which further hides it when in the dark.
Changes to Hornissennest as a result of the refit:
All armor has been made 50% thicker, with commensurate changes to weight, length, and beam.
All 8 Zollstocks have been replaced with super-high-velocity variants.
A degaussing coil has been applied to her.
All turbines and boilers have been replaced with more powerful versions, resulting in a net loss of speed of .5 knots.New Aircraft Complement:
40x PHF-12SC(DHF) Ausf. G Corrupted Fliegendewaffel
40x JF-02SC(DJEF/JB) Ausf. B Corrupted Maschinenteufel-II
10x JNHF-02SC(DNB) Ausf. A Corrupted Geisterfledermaus
Change log: Wasn't finding anything promising RE: the iron ball paint, so I ditched that. Also removed the Jaumann absorbers from the Fliegendewaffel, since it's a day fighter and basically a flying tank as it is, so it being stealthy too was a little much.
EDIT: missed one...

Yeah, my research (read, looking up on Wikipedia) showed the same, I remember as much - and feeling a bit stupid, too.
