edit: what the hell does porn have to do with abortion? I'm more skeptical about that article now.

The article doesn't mention that, the article only mentions porn and the coinciding drop in rapes availability of porn has arguably caused.

I'm pointing out that the stats are also explicable by availability of abortion, as well as less lead in the air causing lead damage to brains.

In truth its probably a combination of all three that caused such a dramatic drop over the past decades. Crime in general fell dramatically.

We wouldn't need porn if sex wasn't treated with hysteria by most people and we just had sex scenes on tv where they are relevant. Though this would mean porn actors instead of, you know, actors. So quality might take a dip.
