This is the internet without net neutrality and I think Nationstates will be affected simply because it won't be able to pay the fast lane bribery enforced by the ISP thugs.
NS is a pretty minor forum in the grand scheme of things. Why would ISPs bother trying to wring money out of our lord and saviour Max Barry?

Is NationStates actually on here or did I just waste my time?

Another reason why they might block NS, simply because we might criticize them or speak out against whatever government official they support.
If Net Neutrality was simply called "Free Access to the internet" instead, then I bet everyone would go on a riot, taking up arms against the tyrannical decision.

Yeah, the government is terrified of a bunch of children saying that they're bad.If Net Neutrality was simply called "Free Access to the internet" instead, then I bet everyone would go on a riot, taking up arms against the tyrannical decision.
Obviously wrong.

2 ) The freedom of communication on the internet helps create uprisings like BLM, the Woman's March and Occupy Wall Street. The oligarchy may actually see all of that as a threat and try to silence us. Not to mention websites like Face Book and Twitter are trying to combat "Fake News" What makes you think they wouldn't do the same to target dissenting News? Heck Google is already doing that.
3.) People would have a stronger idea of what net neutrality is and a lot more people would be upset. Unless you think that people don't like having unlimited access to the internet...

Three problems:
1. None of those movements were uprisings.
2. NS had nothing to do with them.
3. None of those movements were very good. The oligarchy may actually see all of that as a threat and try to silence us. Not to mention websites like Face Book and Twitter are trying to combat "Fake News"
Facebook and Twitter are not fighting fake news, they're supporting their own version.

There is no doubt in my mind that AT&T's "Internet Bill of Rights" will be nothing more than an Orwellian Scam just like title of the FCC's 'DestroyingRestoring Internet Freedom Order'
No corporation can be trusted in making it's own regulations. It's in their nature to make as much profit as they can for their shareholders. So I can't see anything but AT&T giving us a mangled and Swiss cheese version of Net Neutrality no one will like.
