The twenty Fleftic Premier League teams and 24 Unang Liga teams join the SFA Cup action in the third round, and it's fair to say that most of them have made it through to the next round. Well, most of the Premier League clubs did anyway. The most notorious casualties of the magic of the SFA Cup are Wanda Island Wanderers and Malabon SC, who fell victim to Gyouza Young Lads and Miroz Old Boys respectively. Sporting Ceneisis got their cup defense off to a good start with a fighting win over Rosenpfelblatz North End, who are at the moment impressing in Unang Liga thanks to their young striker Misha Spartoni, who was not lured away by the money and attraction of the Premier League and opted to stay with the Churchmen, but at the rate Rosen North are going, they're going to be back up among the big boys come next season. It's an entirely different story for the other finalists last year, as Pilken Kickers bowed out of the competition almost immediately this time round after a 1-0 defeat to Nnettekkebb Wanderers. Most surprisingly though, three clubs from the Fleftic National League (the fifth tier of Fleftic football) have actually managed to survive the third round and punch their ticket into the fourth round. Verrokib South End, Piuui Pirates, and Khimik Ogovlich are all through to the fourth round, but whether they can go all the way to the SFA Cup Final is still another question altogether.

And to cap things off, let's take a look at the craziness that is the SFA Cup tie between Rodrigues FC and Wabash River. This game saw a total of twelve goals scored between the two teams, and ten of those came within the ninety minutes! James Yulin may have scored a hat trick for the Swamp Men but it will be Ricky Rochester who will bring home the match ball because he scored four goals in this game, two of them in the deciding extra thirty minutes. It's fair to say that no teams will be looking forward to face Rodrigues in the next round.

2023-24 SFA Cup Fourth Round
Niraza Rovers 1–2 Arlkornd Diamonds
Locomotive Imgortur 1–0 Koob Rovers
Xemlice Rovers 1–0 Ludogorets Markovsky
Vikrant Rovers 1–2 Tentenaraya Rovers
Rosenpfelblatz City 5–0 All-Inclusive Haranguer
Verrokib South End 3–1 Paulsen FC
Rodrigues FC 1–3 Sarvusdalamoive
Piuui Pirates 1–1 Antslinngs Islands (1–2 AET)
Electric Yugal 0–4 Tefel FC
Miroz Old Boys 0–1 Porcusces Tsunamis
Buscargill Town 1–0 Nnettekkebb Wanderers
Arsenal de Releinthi 2–0 Dynamo Ja
Kimmirut Panhandle 0–1 Sporting Ceneisis
Admiral Porcusces 4–0 Khimik Ogovlich
Riuwiee United 1–0 Gyouza Young Lads
Purzat Rovers 1–1 Inseparables (2–1 AET)

The Premier League teams begin to knock each other out of the SFA Cup. Ludogorets Markovsky are seen out of the cup by a lone goal from Xemlice Rovers' Fabrosu Nyema. All-Inclusive Haranguer received an almighty trashing from Rosenpfelblatz City and Buddock Mawla. Sporting Ceneisis continue their cup defense by narrowly winning over Kimmirut Panhandle, but only after an own goal from Yorick Bannock put the Blues up. And for two of the three remaining National League sides still in the cup, the journey ends here. Piuui Pirates were eliminated in extra time by Antslinngs Islands, and Khimik Ogovlich suffered handily at the hands of Admiral Porcusces and Tristan Lee. But arguably the biggest upset ever in this current SFA Cup is the work of the final National League team left standing, Verrokib South End, who overcame a 1-0 deficit at half-time against Paulsen FC to advance to the fifth round of the SFA Cup for only the first time in over fifty years. Whoever said that the SFA Cup is predictable and no longer exciting?

2023-24 SFA Cup Fifth Round
Tentenaraya Rovers 0–1 Sarvusdalamoive
Purzat Rovers 1–0 Locomotive Imgortur
Sporting Ceneisis 1–1 Antslinngs Islands (1–2 AET)
Rosenpfelblatz City 2–0 Arlkornd Diamonds
Xemlice Rovers 0–1 Admiral Porcusces
Tefel FC 2–0 Verrokib South End
Riuwiee United 2–1 Arsenal de Releinthi
Buscargill Town 2–3 Porcusces Tsunamis

Now things are getting really interesting. Premier League teams are getting knocked out by Unang Liga teams, and and a rival has eliminated another rival from the competition. Blue Tribesmen fans will thank Hamish Muir for knocking Arsenal de Releinthi out of the SFA Cup, and Arkady Rozier is Admiral Porcusces' hero for carrying them through to the quarterfinals over Xemlice Rovers. And while it took them extra time, Antslinngs Islands were able to overcome the cup holders Sporting Ceneisis thanks to a very late goal from Jayadeep Narwal. On a side note, Purzat Rovers have knocked out Locomotive Imgortur courtesy of an own goal from Melisizwe Afolayan. That's going to do a number on the lad's confidence, that's for sure. Now only eight teams remain, and by the time the quarterfinals are over, that number will be down to four.

2023-24 SFA Cup Quarterfinals
Rosenpfelblatz City 4–0 Porcusces Tsunamis
Riuwiee United 0–1 Sarvusdalamoive
Tefel FC 1–0 Purzat Rovers
Antslinngs Islands 1–1 Admiral Porcusces (1–2 AET)

Only one upset of note to report here in the quarterfinals and it's not exactly the most exciting one out there either, is it? Yes, Riuwiee United are out of the SFA Cup, and it's all thanks to Toumain Vincelot's long range strike. It was a beauty of a curler and it was perhaps the only way that the Pinks could have beaten the Blue Tribesmen. In other news, a brace from both Buddock Mawla and Oliver Ganson helps Rosenpfelblatz City see off the Porcusces Tsunamis. Tefel FC knock Purzat Rovers out of the cup, and Admiral Porcusces overcome Antslinngs Islands in extra time courtesy of a penalty from the late substitute Tristan Lee.

2023-24 SFA Cup Semifinals
Rosenpfelblatz City 1–3 Tefel FC
Admiral Porcusces 0–7 Sarvusdalamoive

Oh, looks like the magic of the SFA Cup is back on the menu, boys. These are definitely two results that we weren't expecting. It's hard to say which is the more newsworthy result: the fact that Rosenpfelblatz City got knocked out of the cup by an Unang Liga team or the fact that Admiral Porcusces got absolutely demolished by Sarvusdalamoive! All right, let's get down to a few basics about the games. Rosen were leading at halftime courtesy of a goal by Mosi Okoye. Chris Haralampiev then scored an unfortunate own goal and Tefel, sensing blood, pounced on the Citizens and never looked back. As for the Admiral Porcusces-Sarvusdalamoive semifinal, well, let's just say that it was an absolute massacre of the Foxes. They simply had no chance against Sarvus. Toumain Vincelot bagged a brace for the Pinks and Conrado Azucarrera brought home the match ball after an impressive hat trick within the first 27 minutes that set the tone for the rest of the game. Winning a semifinal comfortably is one thing. Absolutely demolishing the opposition while you're at it is quite another thing altogether.

2023-24 SFA Cup Final
Now here is a very interesting matchup for the 2024 SFA Cup Final. These two teams have not been in the SFA Cup for a very long time. Sarvusdalamoive have not been in the final since 1999, while this is only the second time that Tefel have actually made it this far into the SFA Cup, their only Cup final appearance to date being in 1924, and they lost in that final to Wanda Island Wanderers. Both of these teams had not yet won an SFA Cup so we will definitely have a first-time cup winner no matter the result of this game. So let's go ahead and just play this thing.
Tefel FC 5–5 Sarvusdalamoive (5–5 AET) (5–3 pen.)

Now that was a cup final to remember! Tefel and Sarvus set the record for the highest-scoring SFA Cup Final in the entire history of the competition with ten goals, five for each club! Conrado Azucarrera was his usual scoring best in front of goal, completing yet another hat-trick to become only the fifth person in the entire history of the SFA Cup to score a hat-trick in the final. Tefel didn't have one player who scored more than one goal in the final against Sarvus but the mere fact that five Tefel players were able to score against the Pinks shows that a team focused on teamwork rather than the skills of individual players. That being said, Tefel thought that they had finally won their first ever SFA Cup in their history when Roldan Robles scored in the 90th minute before Toumain Vincelot cancelled out that goal with yet another long range curler of a shot in the third minute of added time to force thirty more minutes of game time and make both clubs wait just that little bit longer to find out who will be the one to lift that tin idol.

Thirty minutes wasn't enough to decide the winner, which after the absolute goalfest that was the first ninety minutes of this final must have been a bit of a letdown for everyone watching. Penalties it would have to be then, and things were going swimmingly for Sarvusdalamoive until Paulie Wilde struck the post with his spot kick. Roldan Robles cemented his status as a Tefel legend when he slotted in his penalty to secure the SFA Cup for his club, and while they have just narrowly avoided relegation this season, Tefel FC will have the Cup Winners' Cup to look forward to next season. Let's just hope that this doesn't distract them from their Unang Liga plight or else it might be curtains for the Devils next season.

Congratulations to Tefel FC, your 2023-24 SFA Cup champions!

2023-24 Rugby Coalition

Postby APOC Coalition » Tue Feb 06, 2018 11:34 pm

The Rugby Coalition enters its third season, and for the third season running, it's the same two teams that finish at the top. Once again the Bytuch Feld Dinosaurs let slip a massive chance to win their first ever Rugby Coalition title following a massive drop in form near the middle of the season. Both Oshkosh Dnistrosh and San Seriffe Bad Hombres started off the season poorly but it was their resurgence in the second part of the season that saw them right back at the top of the table, and it's the Pridnestrovian side from Dnistrosh that lift the trophy for the second time in their club's history, and both of them will participate in the RUCT for the first time ever. They're not exactly green around the gills when it comes to international rugby, however; two editions of the Dwile International Tournament had seen Oshkosh lift the trophy at the inaugural edition and nearly repeat the feat the second time around, falling only to Apox's Dwile Jerseys in the second final. Both teams will hope for an equally strong showing once again. At the foot of the table, Zheleznogorsk Atomsplitters avoided taking home the wooden spoon only by virtue of their massive pool of losing bonus points--fourteen (14), to be exact. It's Albatross Bed Gon who will once again have the dubious honor of holding up the bottom of the table until next season.

2023-24 PBSL Regular Season

Postby Trans-Dniesters » Thu Feb 08, 2018 2:24 am

The Pridnestrovian teams did very well in the International Union of Basketball Clubs tournaments, with the unlikely finalists Pridnestrovskaya Gavan Harbormasters advancing all the way to the semifinals of the Multiverse Basket before falling against the eventual silver medalists Sfax Scream of Abanhfleft's Fleftic Basketball Association. The reigning champions, BC CSKA Tiraspol, didn't fare so well however, only making it as far as the Round of 16 of the IUBC Trophy before they were swept by Raynor City Monarchs from Valanora. Now, with a new IUBC season upon us (but without MultiverseBasket as they say it has been losing money for some time), let us see who will be the champions of Pridnestrovian basketball and its representatives to the greater basketball multiverse.

The Pridnestrovian Basketball Union (PBU) also announced a few changes with regards to both the PBSL playoffs and the qualification for the IUBC Trophy. The PBU announced that it has abolished the third-place playoff between the losing semifinalists in the PBSL playoffs, citing low viewership ratings and an overall lack of interest in the outcome of such a playoff from the basketball-loving public of the Pridnestrovian Republic. The qualifiers for the IUBC Trophy, which has now been reduced to three teams for the same reasons that the MultiverseBasket was abolished, will be the playoff champions, the playoff runners-up, and the regular season champions. In the event that the regular season champion is also the playoff champion or runner-up, the losing semifinalist with the best regular season record will be given the third qualifying spot.

PBSL Pld W L PF PA PD Pts
1 BC CSKA Tiraspol 34 28 6 2830 2237 +593 84 Regular season champions, PBSL playoffs
2 BC Admiral Novorossiysk 34 26 8 2710 2334 +376 78 Qualified for PBSL playoffs
3 BC Dinamo Bender 34 25 9 2663 2404 +259 75 Qualified for PBSL playoffs
4 Kesselburger Cagers 34 22 12 2650 2448 +202 66 Qualified for PBSL playoffs
5 BC Sheriff Tiraspol 34 21 13 2669 2528 +141 63 Qualified for PBSL playoffs
6 BK Tukums 34 19 15 2601 2638 −37 57 Qualified for PBSL playoffs
7 Dnistrolvovsk Loggers 34 19 15 2595 2637 −42 57 Qualified for PBSL playoffs
8 Bratsk Buccaneers 34 18 16 2598 2482 +116 54 Qualified for PBSL playoffs

9 Pridnestrovskaya Gavan Harbormasters 34 17 17 2478 2461 +17 51
10 Vladikarpaty Mountaineers 34 16 18 2573 2640 −67 48
11 BC Unterspielsdorf 34 14 20 2481 2585 −104 42
12 Strigoni Macaresti 34 14 20 2520 2631 −111 42
13 BC Vitosha 34 13 21 2488 2600 −112 39
14 Vladikrav Chiefs 34 13 21 2371 2636 −265 39
15 Incirlik Bombers 34 12 22 2483 2667 −184 36
16 Novonikolaysk Bluefins 34 11 23 2498 2828 −330 33
17 Nord-Vest Representative Team 34 10 24 2411 2669 −258 30 Relegated to Basketball Second Division
18 Bacardi Derinkuyu 34 8 26 2492 2686 −194 24 Relegated to Basketball Second Division

It's a return to the top of the basketball heap for BC CSKA Tiraspol, who took home the PBSL Championship last season but finished only in third place during the regular season. The Army Team hopes to carry this all the way to the PBSL Final so that they can defend their trophy, but seven other teams stand in their way. Last season's unlikely finalists and also unlikely semifinalists in the MultiverseBasket, Pridnestrovskaya Gavan Harbormasters, have failed to qualify for the playoffs by just one game. People will cite that the highs of making it all the way to the finals had finally worn off for the Harbormasters, but they will surely savor the moment while it lasted.

As for the wrong end of the table, the Nord-Vest Representative Team will return immediately to the Basketball Second Division after only one season in the Basketball Super League. Bacardi Derinkuyu, seventh place last season, is in last place this season and will get at least one season in the Second Division to rebuild and regroup.

(2) BC Admiral Novorossiysk vs (7) Dnistrolvovsk Loggers

BC Admiral Novorossiysk 92–75 Dnistrolvovsk Loggers
Dnistrolvovsk Loggers 90–122 BC Admiral Novorossiysk
BC Admiral Novorossiysk 84
–72 Dnistrolvovsk Loggers

BC Admiral Novorossiysk wins the series 3-0

No upsets whatsoever from the playoffs this time around. Perhaps it's because the Harbormasters are no longer around to mess up the formula. The closest thing to an upset that we got from this round of the playoffs is that the Buccaneers of Bratsk actually managed to win one game against the reigning champions BC CSKA Tiraspol, but after that the Army Team went on a roll and Bratsk never really recovered from that. In other playoff news, BC Admiral Novorossiysk and BC Dinamo Bender advance to the semifinals, where they will be joined by Kesselburger Cagers. The 2022 PBSL champions were expected to have a very tough matchup against BC Sheriff Tiraspol but the main difference is that Sheriff Tiraspol is markedly worse in basketball than in football, and the Cagers easily swept aside the Sheriffs to punch their tickets to the 2024 PBSL semifinals.

2023-24 PBSL Semifinals
(1) BC CSKA Tiraspol vs (4) Kesselburger Cagers

BC CSKA Tiraspol 94–73 Kesselburger Cagers
Kesselburger Cagers 71–84 BC CSKA Tiraspol
BC CSKA Tiraspol 69

BC CSKA Tiraspol wins the series 3-0

(2) BC Admiral Novorossiysk vs (3) BC Dinamo Bender

BC Admiral Novorossiysk 97–83 BC Dinamo Bender
BC Dinamo Bender 58–83 BC Admiral Novorossiysk
BC Admiral Novorossiysk 98
–76 BC Dinamo Bender

BC Admiral Novorossiysk wins the series 3-0

So it won't be a Derby of All Derbies for the PBSL Championship this season, but it's something close and still just as good. It's the Army-Navy Derby as BC CSKA Tiraspol will square off against BC Admiral Novorossiysk. It's certainly going to be a cracking matchup.

There will be no grand return to the PBSL's grandest stage just yet for Kesselburg, but for CSKA, it will be an immediate trip back to the Finals. Meanwhile, everyone was expecting the series between Admiral and Dinamo to go all the way but it wasn't to be, as Admiral aim to make up for the humiliation that they suffered last season by being eliminated by the least likely team in the league after winning the regular season championship.

CSKA versus Admiral. Army versus Navy. Who's ready for the biggest ever matchup in the recent history of the Pridnestrovian Basketball Super League?

2024 PBSL Finals
BC CSKA Tiraspol 73–103 BC Admiral Novorossiysk
BC Admiral Novorossiysk 61–70 BC CSKA Tiraspol
BC CSKA Tiraspol 101–77 BC Admiral Novorossiysk
BC Admiral Novorossiysk 68–80 BC CSKA Tiraspol

BC Admiral Novorossiysk gave their all but they couldn't do enough to stop BC CSKA Tiraspol from taking home the PBSL Championship once again. The Soldiers have triumphed over the Seamen once again, and they will have one more season to laugh it up against their Armed Forces rivals.

Postby Copper Cuprum » Fri Feb 09, 2018 12:48 am

NOTE: Due to new laws regarding the restriction of television broadcasts from Copper Cuprum being sent out to the greater multiverse, only the Copperite National League and Copperite League Two will be shown across the multiverse.

What kind of sorcery is this? The Vay Gon Eels, regarded as relegation candidates at the start of the season, have won the Copperite National League! And the defending champions, Atletico Bed Gon, as well as the first Copperite champion of the Campionato Esportivano de Campeones era, Sub Gon Raiders, have both gone down to League Two! There is no explanation for this other than that we are now living in the darkest dankest timeline. That is and must be the only explanation possible.

Looks like the rumors of the death of the Airbus-Emeralds monopoly on Fhulghamousian Premier League titles were greatly exaggerated. Both teams came out on top this season, with Airbus taking the Opening title and Emeralds the closing one. It's back to mid-table mediocrity for Haritzaga Albion, although it has to be said that their run to the FhPL Closing title in 2023 was nothing short of a miracle run with everything going right for Albion and everything going wrong for the rest of the chasing pack. Still, it's two familiar faces who will be going back to the Campionato Esportivano de Campeones.

6 Bohuda United 46 17 14 15 57 58 −1 65 Promotion playoffs

7 Selid Town 46 16 15 15 50 57 −7 63
8 Sociedad de Pesadill 46 17 11 18 41 45 −4 62
9 Sporting Mykorrigan 46 17 10 19 63 62 +1 61
10 Reyes United 46 15 13 18 79 86 −7 58
11 Porcusces Tsunamis 46 15 13 18 78 85 −7 58
12 Zenit Novograd 46 14 13 19 57 59 −2 55
13 Keklavik United 46 14 13 19 93 104 −11 55
14 Real San Seriffe 46 14 12 20 44 51 −7 54
15 Vikrant Rovers 46 14 12 20 60 71 −11 54
16 West Releinthi City 46 14 9 23 47 54 −7 51
17 Nuclear Spriekt 46 12 15 19 65 80 −15 51
18 Bytuch Wyk Wanderers 46 15 6 25 79 97 −18 51
19 Sporting Wappinger 46 11 17 18 63 71 −8 50
20 Southern Imgortur 46 12 14 20 48 66 −18 50
21 Tentenaraya Rovers 46 14 8 24 49 69 −20 50
22 Keephall Vikings 46 12 13 21 66 98 −32 49 Relegated to Liga Ikatlo
23 Effelenendro 46 10 16 20 44 62 −18 46 Relegated to Liga Ikatlo
24 Rapid Pelaez 46 11 10 25 68 94 −26 43 Relegated to Liga Ikatlo

Okay, now that was an unexpected surprise. Imperial Markovsky, who performed so abysmally in last season's Unang Liga, has actually set a new record with the most points ever earned in a singe Liga Ikalawa campaign. Heck, the Imperials actually beat the record for most points ever gained in the top four tiers of Fleftic football, with Buscargill Town's 106-point haul to win the Unang Liga now only second best to Imperial Markovsky's 123 points total to take home the Liga Ikalawa trophy. Fellow relegated sides Sporting Busov and Duhblakk Rovers were no slouches themselves, no doubt helped along by the talents of Prince William Luckless for Duhblakk and Idrissa Warmbier for Busov. A two-point difference sees the Blackmen promoted directly to Unang Liga while Sporting Busov will have to fight it out with three other teams to earn that third and final Unang Liga spot.

Imperial Markovsky, Duhblakk Rovers, and the winner of this season's Liga Ikalawa promotion playoffs will take the places of Pamunas FC, Rodrigues FC, and Berezovsky United in Unang Liga while Keephall Vikings, Effelenendro and Rapid Pelaez will all book a trip to Liga Ikatlo.

Congratulations to Imperial Markovsky, your 2023-24 Liga Ikalawa champions, and for setting a new record for most points in a single league campaign!

24 Haranguer Town AFC 46 9 16 21 54 76 −22 43 Relegated to National Conference

Things were a bit less crazy down in Liga Ikatlo, but still, 90 points is nothing to scoff at. Uthilmir United are finally headed back up to Liga Ikalawa after some years languishing down here in the fourth tier. Meanwhile, a difference of four goals sees Lokoue Llamas joining Uthilmir in the third tier while Gold Coast Arsenal, undoubtedly Liga Ikatlo's surprise package of the season, will have to fight it out with the likes of Purzat Rovers, Garufaloe, and Real Haritzaga for the right to compete in Liga Ikalawa. Down at the wrong end of the table, Al-Wilayat, Koob Rovers and Haranguer Town AFC are the unfortunate casualties, and they will have at least one season of non-league football to look forward to now. These three teams will be replaced by the top three teams of the Fleftic National Conference, which are Zzimmonnttogg Wolves, OGC Oui, and Piuui Pirates.

18 Poveda Vlaha 34 6 6 22 32 53 −21 24 Relegated to State Leagues

Larnakaspor are finally able to return to the National Premier Football League after two years in the Top League. Antakyaspor also has a chance to reclaim their NPFL spot if they can win their relegation playoff against 1895 Lekhwiya Pepuza. Larnakaspor will be joined in the immediate journey to the NPFL by Zenit Vladiyug, who finally made it back up to the second tier of Pridnestrovian football after five seasons of languishing in the Top League.

Meanwhile, at the wrong end of the table, one State League will have to accept two relegated teams once again, but this time it will be the Ixanian State League that will have to expand for one season to accommodate the falling Neptunas Neptun and Opalgebirge Kesselburg. The Opal Miners were widely expected to challenge for immediate promotion back to the second tier for this campaign, but apparently Opalgebirge was more keen on fighting the relegation dogfight than anything else. Meanwhile, Poveda Vlaha are going right back down to the Hatay State League. They will have to try a new approach if they hope to stay in the Top League.

And that is the review of the 2023-24 Pridnestrovian football season complete. Tune in next time for the 2024-25 season.

2023-24 Liga ng Abanhfleft promotion playoffs

Postby Abanhfleft » Sat Mar 17, 2018 4:18 am

Following the backlash and fan criticism over the new promotion playoff format debuted by the Liga ng Abanhfleft back in the 2022-23 season, the LnA has announced that it will be reverting back to the old playoff format starting immediately from the 2023-24 season onwards. The old (but gold) promotion playoff format sees the sixth-best team facing off against the third-best team and the fifth-best team facing the fourth-best team in a home-and-away series with the lower-ranked teams getting the first home tie. If the aggregate score is tied after both ties have been played, the games go to extra time, and if the scores are still level after that, penalties will be used. 2024-25 Rugby Coalition

Postby APOC Coalition » Sun Apr 15, 2018 8:35 pm

Following the death of Chief Gon and the enthronement of Prince Deg as the new Chief of Copper Cuprum, Copperite authorities have initiated a nationwide renaming program that sees all cities and other place names in Copper Cuprum receive the name of their new chief. All four Copperite teams in the Rugby Coalition will now henceforth be renamed as appropriate.

These are the four Copperite teams in the Rugby Coalition, their original names and their new names under the rule of Chief Deg.

  • Albatross Bed Gon becomes Albatross Bed Deg
  • Ken Gon Rooks becomes Ken Deg Rooks
  • Red Gon Red Bulls becomes Red Deg Red Bulls
  • Wa Gon Carabiners becomes Wa Deg Carabiners

Here are the results of the 2024-25 Rugby Coalition.

16 Bierburg Sentinels 30 7 2 21 133 299 −166 32 0 7 39

For the first time in the history of the Rugby Coalition, the top two is not Oshkhosh Dnistrosh and San Seriffe Bad Hombres. The moment that some of the rugby purists who have been complaining that having the same two teams competing for the Rugby Coalition trophy year after year is a bad thing for the competition has finally come. The Red Deg Red Bulls lift their first ever Rugby Coalition title in their history, beating out the Nineveh Whales by only two points. The Whales actually had a better regular season record but the Red Bulls' tally of nine bonus points sees the Copperite side through to their first ever title and first appearance in the Rugby Union Champions Trophy. Oshkosh Dnistrosh don't have it all bad, though. They may have finished fifth in the regular table but their ten bonus points is more than enough to salvage their season and put them in third place in the final table. And the fact that the association of the defending champions of the RUCT gets an additional slot for the champions if they don't qualify via the league means that Oshkosh will still have a chance to defend their crown (and getting in third place won't make it too embarrassing for the APOC Coalition). At the bottom of the table, Bierburg Sentinels will take home their second wooden spoon in three seasons. We may be reaching the time where the rugby purists will now complain that the same two teams getting the wooden spoon is going to make the competition stale as well.
The APOC Coalition: a loose politico-economic union between
Abanhfleft, Trans-Dniesters, Oontaz Dert Li Ng and Copper Cuprum,
although it's only ever useful for international rugby.

Obvious puppet of Abanhfleft is obvious

24 Mannerheim Sports 46 9 12 25 47 64 −17 39 Relegated to Liga Ikalawa

Well, that didn't take too long from the point of view of Air Force and Atheist fans, did it? Fans of both teams were nervously chewing off their fingernails once their relegation to Unang Liga was confirmed last season, as the drop has a reputation of keeping teams down in the lower leagues, but after this season has come and gone, it looks like they never really had anything to fear for. Air Force and Thereisnogodistan were always favorites for promotion as soon as the season got underway, although Air Force did win the title only through goal difference. That title race does look close, but only because everyone challenging for it got into rough patches of form on the final stretch. Heck, at least three teams had a chance to pip the title from the Airmen, but a goalless draw against Liga Ikalawa-bound Miroz Old Boys was just enough for them to secure the title on the final day. And speaking of the Old Boys, the fact that their archrivals Gyouza Young Lads managed to survive in the Premier League but they (Miroz) that is are bound for the third tier will leave a very bitter taste in the mouths of Miroz fans. And Duhblakk Rovers must surely feel that they are on the verge of becoming a yoyo club. Something will have to change for them. Maybe actually spend a few seasons in Liga Ikalawa before finally pushing for promotion and not just shooting up every single time they get the chance. But that is just an opinion; Duhblakk can do whatever they want with themselves.

Bad news for Series B Champions' Cup fans, though: Unang Liga was unable to secure the proper licenses for participation in the SBCC so that means that the top three teams of the league (Fleftic Air Force, Thereisnogodistan, and Antslinngs Islands) will be unable to participate in next season's edition of the the premier competition for second-tier clubs in the multiverse. However, it has been confirmed that the papers for the approval of Unang Liga's license to participate in next season's SBCC are already in order so Abanhfleft will be making a grand return to the Series B Champions' Cup next season.

Congratulations to Fleftic Air Force, your 2024-25 Unang Liga champions!

24 Vikrant Rovers 46 11 10 25 55 78 −23 43 Relegated to Liga Ikatlo

It was pretty much the same thing in Liga Ikalawa, with two of the three clubs relegated from Unang Liga last season making their way back up to the second tier of Fleftic football after just one season in the third tier. The surprising thing, however, is that it is Berezovsky United, who had the worst record in Unang Liga last season with only 27 points to their name, have made Liga Ikalawa history by collecting over 104 points as they stormed their way to the title this season. Rodrigues were no slouches either as they picked up 103 points and secured second place in the league with games to spare. The third relegated club from Unang Liga, Pamunas, are ten points away from Rodrigues but that still puts them in third place as the next best team after Pamunas, Keklavik United, are only on 77 points.

And the teams promoted from Liga Ikatlo aren't doing too bad themselves. Arguably the surprise of the season for Liga Ikalawa has to be Gold Coast Arsenal, who came up from non-league only two seasons ago and are now doing quite well for themselves as a mid-table Liga Ikalawa team. But as for the teams on the wrong end of the table, well, there's one team there that will probably surprise a lot of people. Tentenaraya Rovers have gone from a team capable of pushing for promotion to the second-worst team in Liga Ikalawa. Quite the fall from grace for a team, isn't it? But surely they have what it takes to get themselves out of Liga Ikatlo the first time of asking, right? Anyway, before we move on to Liga Ikatlo, let us congratulate Berezovsky United, your champions for the 2024-25 Liga Ikalawa season!

24 Piuui Pirates 46 7 21 18 71 91 −20 42 Relegated to National Conference

And last but not least, we go down to Liga Ikatlo, and boy do we have history on our hands! And it's yet another side fresh from the National Conference in Verrokib South End who did the impossible and won an entire league season undefeated! Everyone thought that going "invincible" was impossible in today's football, especially in the 46-game season of the Liga ng Abanhfleft, but not only did Verrokib do it, they did it better than Godric Wexler's Arsenal de Releinthi side of 2003-04, collecting 42 wins and 4 draws on their way to a very dominant title campaign. And to think that they barely survived in their first season back in the Liga ng Abanhfleft... Speaking of sides going up to Liga Ikalawa, Mertano & Mertayev just barely edged out Keephall Vikings from the second automatic promotion spot by a single goal. In such close races where there's only one more promotion spot up for grabs because the title has been wrapped up so conclusively, goal difference is almost worth as much as one point as that could often be the deciding factor on who goes up immediately and who has to go through the playoffs, as is the case here in Liga Ikatlo.

At the foot of the table, Piuui Pirates go immediately back down to the National Conference, and they will be joined by two teams who have performed abysmally this season. The Other Side's five-year stay in the Liga ng Abanhfleft finally comes to an end, while Onghawesk East End's downward spiral continues even further. No one can accuse of Onghawesk of not going down fighting, however, but their 2-2 draw against Arlkornd Diamonds and Nnettekkebb Wanderers' victory over Athletic Bergson means that it is the Easterners who go back down to non-league level. But they surely back both the resources, players, and staff to get back up immediately. Or so they say. Who knows? These three teams going down will be replaced in the fourth tier by returning sides Koob Rovers, Khimik Ogovlich, and Nou Constantinopoli. Will these three teams go straight back down by next season or will they be able to claim spots for themselves in Liga Ikatlo? We will have until next season to find out.

But to cap off our review of the Liga ng Abanhfleft, let us congratulate Verrokib South End for not only winning the 2024-25 Liga Ikatlo title but also doing it in such a dominating fashion, setting a new record in the process that doesn't look very likely to be broken anytime soon, or even years and years into the future. That's it from the Liga ng Abanhfleft Review; so long, take care, and see you for the next season!

18 Bryan Bryansk 34 5 11 18 39 57 −18 26 Relegated to Top League

Once again, another team takes the National Premier Football League by surprise by winning the NPFL and along with it promotion to the Super League. And this time it's Szigetszentmiklos from Ixania, the team from the Island of Saint Nicholas (or Miklos in the Ixanian tongue). Coming into the winter break, Szigetszentmiklos were only in eighth place and five points away from the winter leaders, Spartak Tiraspol, but a combination of Sziget hitting great form and Spartak encountering poor and patchy form ensured that it would be the Ixanian club who would finally clinch the NPFL title for the 2024-25 season. They had to go all the way to the final day of the season to secure the title, though; Renechev Revolution still had a chance to win the title if they won against Star City FC and Sziget lost against FK Pridnestrovskaya Gavan. But what happened was that Sziget came back from 1-0 down with a man sent off against FKPG to win it (and the title) 2-1, while Renechev fell to a 1-0 defeat against Star City. But, like Abanhfleft, no teams from the NPFL will be able to participate in this season's Series B Champions' Cup as the NPFL failed to file the proper paperwork to get the league licensed for play in the SBCC. But the league authorities have already made amends that will ensure that the NPFL will get to participate in the Series B Champions' Cup next season.

Speaking of Star City, that win against Renechev was enough to catapult them to 16th place and the relegation playoff spot, meaning that it was Zenit Vladiyug who went down automatically to the Top League alongside Bryan Bryansk. But this means for Star City that they will still have to endure two more games against the third-best-placed team in the Top League, which will be revealed soon enough, but for now, let us congratulate Szigetszentmiklos for their unlikeliest of title triumphs in the National Premier Football League.

Congratulations to Szigetszentmiklos, your 2024-25 Pridnestrovian National Premier Football League champions!

18 Mittgensteiner SV 34 5 8 21 55 92 −37 23 Relegation to State Leagues

Finally, after four seasons of trying, Masyafspor have finally made it to the National Premier Football League for only the second time in the new millennium. It took the Assassins some time to do it, and they had to fend off a spirited challenge from Raketa Palatinsk, but they were still able to not only finally clinch promotion but also win the Top League title. There is no doubt that this is now the most important achievement that Masyafspor has ever made, potentially eclipsing even their surprise triumph on the 2023 Pridnestrovian Cup. But what is certain is that the team will treasure both accomplishments for years to come. The aim now for Masyafspor is to make sure that their stay in the NPFL lasts longer than the one season that they had in 2005-06. If they can hold on and consolidate their position in the NPFL, who knows, maybe the Super League is not that too farfetched of an idea for the next ten years...

At the other end of the table, the fall of Atom Zheleznogorsk continues with the Bears finally dropping down to the State Leagues for the first time since the 1970s. It's been an enjoyable stay in the top three tiers of Pridnestrovian football for Atom but poor fiscal planning as well as sticking to the same old players time and time again have seen the death knell of Zheleznogorsk's time in the fully professional tiers. Perhaps a stay in the Pridnestrovian State League will give them the time and opportunity to give a long and hard look at themselves as they try to rebuild and regroup for another attempt at returning to the Top League. Dimashqspor also immediately returns to the Hatay State League, and Mittgensteiner SV goes back down after only two seasons in the Top League. They will be replaced by Red Star Vitosha from the Pridnestrovian State League, SG 08 Chemie Mitwitz from the Ixanian State League, and Gumus Özturkiyye from the Hatay State League.

Thus finishes the review of the 2024-25 Pridnestrovian footballing season. Tune in next time for previews of the 2025-26 season.
