How do you call yourself a Christian, when you elevate a man-made invention to a sacrament? Nobody is sugarcoating anything, you have an internet addiction, and I also an apparent phobia of *GASP* opening a book.

1.)I don't really care for religion anymore.
2.) I do read books, but books have limitations. The internet is unlimited when free and open. Ajit Pai had ruined that.
3.) I may have an addiction but the internet is good for getting news and communicating with friends. So it's not a bad thing.

You sound like this asshole telling me that the destruction of the free and open internet is no big deal.

Actually read the article.

FFS. That is not the fucking issue. I like to read books, but the internet has become the go-to place for the most up-to-date news and information you can find. Books are limited and become out of date informationwise.

Take a chill pill. I bet you couldn’t last 3 months without the internet. Do you ya know who has? Me. And several other people. I’ve gone without the internet for 6 months before. It’s not that hard to do. It sucks but it’s not the end of the world

That might be a sign you're overreacting. Seeing the face of a person you've never met shouldn't be eliciting such a violent response.

The attempted overthrowers all dead because the vast majority of the US won't side with them?

Sometimes it feels like the US is reaching the point of hatred where there is a minority of extremists on both sides who just want an excuse to kill the other side if the other side would only take the first shot.

Obviously; but assuming it was somehow even an iota successful, individuals that inspire violent revolutions typically don't survive said violent revolutions.

You apparently. You look-up videos to find-out what he's doing, you watched the video where he clearly spat on something you supposedly care so much about, while knowing it would make you angry, and you continue to post articles about him despite being utterly disgusted by him. Sounds like masochism to me. Either way it's massively unhealthy that you're so utterly fixated on a single human being without good reason.

No, it's not.

I still go to libraries to get information from books. There's much info not digitized yet.

I mean, it's not like ArXiV is going offline tomorrow, and PDFs are easy to download. Primary research is not being done in the internet yet. And there is still a value for old books.

1.) Your recent posts suggest otherwise.
2.) Books do seem to be part of your issue though. I have a library 20 minutes from my house. Has a good number of books, even in a small-town library. Not a problem for me, if I want to do research, though the internet is definitely more convenient. There's a difference between a "convenience" and "right", believe it or not.
3.) Step one is getting off your computer.

Don't sugarcoat this. The internet is the only definitive place for research in the digital agem

Odd, while I did indeed use many different journal articles that I got online to write my dissertation all those journal articles where available in print format or on University computers after having been scanned in. All I would have needed to do was go to the library to look at those articles.

Better? Yes. Correct? No. There is no "correct" way to research. You research however the hell you want.
