I don't know where you live. Are you are familiar with recent events in the U.S. where police officers killed African American for having, or even believed to have, firearms? It is part of the outrage expressed by Black Lives Matter.

On the other hand, armed men wandered around Charlottesville, Virginia (on the day the young woman was run over by a vehicle), for hours, and the police never bothered them.

Often is too vague to make a comment. I have Black students who have told me personal stories of their own victimization. I have also read peer-reviewed academic studies on the subject. The problem is real (at least for many people).

As someone who grew up as an oppressed person, beaten up almost everyday of my childhood by my peers, I have tremendous compassion for those who continue to suffer in the present capitalist world-system. My personal marginalization is, I think, part of the reason I became a part of the New Left and a communist.

Likewise, incidents in my life and interaction with this sinful, rotten world infected with capitalist materialism and immorality are the reason, in part, for my own personal views. Still, one must seek truth, and accept it when it is found. BLM is a tool of the bourgeoisie state to misinform and subvert proletarian solidarity.
