No, it is seen as a violation of economic freedom, and our equivalent to an "FCC" has very little power.

The internet is controlled and monitored by the government. Every citizen may access computers at allowed public or private computer cafes. Despite restrictions, the internet is as fast as possible with the government only blocking outside tabloids or news. Everything else is fair game.

Internet is outlawed in F799, save for uses by governmental protection, enforcement, and military organizations. A small black market usage of the internet is present for those that can afford it; however, punishment for such violations are not usually deemed "worth it"

In the CTM, ISPs are legally required to guarantee net neutrality and to not block any content that is legal (and the only illegal content in the CTM is black market sites, sites endorsing terrorism and non-consensual pornography). In fact, since this law was passed in 2023 and it's 2087 now, we have had net neutrality for over 60 years

Internet service is a nationalized utility, like piped water or electricity, provided for free to the citizens of Jagiellonia Międzymorze as a gift from the Emperor. There are next to no privately-owned internet service providers, as none can outdo the efficiency of the government system enough to out-compete it. Theoretically, these private ISPs can control the service they provide however they like and are not obligated to follow net neutrality. But since nobody uses those services, there is de facto universal net neutrality - outside of terroristic or degenerate websites being banned, of course.

There is some net neutrality in Flower Master Yuuka-San. Websites which say bad things about the government are automatically banned, as is any website about harming flowers or youkai (The things that the leader likes, and what the leader is. As far as network access itself goes, yes. Access to the local system communications network is free to anyone with access to a networked device, which is pretty much everyone. Access to services outside the system, however, is impossible - not because it's blocked, but because The Greater Siriusian Domain lacks instant communications and relies on data runners to provide communications between star systems, and trips between stars can take weeks or even months in some cases.

Privately owned subnets, however, are allowed to charge for access to anything on that subnet that's also owned by the subnet owner. This could be compared to, say, Netflix charging a subscription fee for access to their content.

There is absolute and total neutrality in the Elknet* systems. The access to the Elknet is government controlled in Thama, but that just means that everyone can freely access it and have their house connected to fibre optics, and its upkeep is funded by taxes. The government does not control what can and cannot be viewed on the Elknet, but it does physically police criminal activity of which evidence is found on the Elknet, such as illegal trading or human trafficking.

*Elknet is identical to the internet on Earth in most aspects, the name is only different due to the internet being largely forgotten over the millennia of its nonexistence between leaving Earth and modern day on Asnea. Elknet is short for Elkanternet, a portmanteau of the Ostspeak word Elkanter meaning computer (itself a portmanteau of Elektrik and Kanter, meaning Electronic Accountant), and net meaning, well, network. Technically any computer network is called an Elknet, but Des Elknet (literally The Computer Network) is only used in reference to the Internet.

Internet service is owned by a state-run company, which provides free internet to all citizens, and by law is not allowed to tamper with Internet service what so ever, and Trapenese Japan's privacy laws, prevent any collection of data on Internet usage. So there is complete Net-neutrality and privacy in Trapenese Japan.

Yes, there is a regulation on ISPs to provide service to all Worldwide Web domains with no discrimination and not to monitor the Internet "consumption" of customers. It's actually one of the few regulations remaining in the industry.

Neuro-net connection system (Eclius is FT, so citizens can often access internet with the Neuro-core system) is heavily protected by government due to net neutrality guaranteed under Eclisian Constitution of Freedom and Liberty. In fact, when a service provider company recently proposed a plan for cheaper internet but packages (ex. email packages, video streaming packages, etc.) were equired for purchase, the CEO was charged for corporate fraud, violation of Net Neutrality Act and operation without licenses (since licenses are required for service providers to operate, if they violate net neutrality, their license will be terminated by Office of Corporate Affairs and Regulations).

There is no net neutrality, but the government does work with ISPs to update their infrastructure so that any difference between content or access to it will be minimal.

(PRO NET NEUTRALITY)

Starting in the early 1980s, Kraicia had began to follow in the footsteps of the US in computer software and innovation - largely inspired by the success of the 1984 Macintosh. Unfortunately, while Kraicia was economically open, Kraicia remained socially and religiously restrictive upon what information went about in what would become the internet. Prior to the internet, pre-1990s Kraicia had a conservative Christian population that had been around since medieval times, which largely paved the way for the Kraician population to accept censorship and restrictions upon information in Kraicia; however, that all changed starting in the mid-1990s.

After years of research and development, along with secret cooperation from the US and British universities, the Kraician government introduced their own internet called, Foremoot (lit. "Founder-Forum"). While Kraician private-owned computer companies and corporations produce computer software and hardware, the Kraician internet is a nationalized utility and is provided to every home in Kraicia; however, there are some trade-offs with Kraicia's own internet (Foremoot). Similar to China, the Kraician government withheld censorship to a fine degree - combined with a tight control over business regulations and mass media - for good reasons.

Similar to an ordinary totalitarian state, the Kraician government has complete control over mass media on internet - making sure that whatever information goes on the internet is accurate, appropriate (no sexual or graphic content), and acceptable. Foremoot has its own kind of online encyclopedia called Holtkenningmidst, which is free to the public and pinpoint accurate; however, only government officials can access and modified the information on Holtkenningmidst, which makes uploading new information or updating rather slow unlike Wikipedia. Plus, Kraicia has its own video hosting service plus entertainment industry called Harkinsayer, which had been established in August 2006 as a response to compete against Youtube and Rooster Teeth; however, unlike Youtube, Harkinsayer is only accessible in Kraicia and any imported international media (including anime, animated series/shows, and video games) must be either translated with Kraician English subtitles and/or professional voice dubs by Kraician voice actors (something that sparked numerous controversies since 2007).
I’m the Republic of Kraicia, a theocratic Caucasus-based country. I also roleplay as Kraicia, an equally theocratic, albeit Future Tech, nation. I do not represent the Orthodox Church or any form of Caucasus nationalism.
