He served under several Jedi generals, commanding their assigned task forces. He was in charge of Jedi General Plo Koon's fleet when a squadron of fighters under the Jedi Master's command shot him down. He dispatched three loyal clone officers (who had removed their chips) to the scene to recover the Master's body only for it to be discovered that he was still alive, albeit paralyzed from the waist down. They smuggled the general away along with a group of six jedi younglings who had been onboard the command ship. Jewett faked the general's death and cremated the missing Jedis' "remains." Jewett retired following the creation of the Empire only to be recalled to serve in the Imperial Administration, six standard months ago he was appointed Moff of the Boeus Sector in the Expansion Region of the galaxy. He currently harbors rebel sympathies and does what he can to hamper Imperial pursuit of Rebel cells operating in his sector. Harboring an even darker secret, many former Clone veterans of General Koon's Wolfpack have settled in a remote town on the planet Stobar. He is in conflict with his high-ranking military officers who are attempting to crush the rebellion here, and the ISB who are investigating his personal conduct.

I assume this is a WIP? The faction section has no backstory or history to speak of. Also, I will make the request that in said backstory you explain why the creation of a faction within a faction was done and, for that matter, why your fleet is so undermanned. It takes 5,000 alone to crew an MC-80a star cruiser and I somehow doubt you can man so many vessels with just 500 personnel.

Well, no, though...wait a second.

BELAY MY LAST! REDACT MY PREVIOUS ACCEPTANCE!

When this is how you die, in a rather, ah...flimsy ship, well...there's really very little surviving that. It's like flying a TIE; if you catch fire and hit things, you don't live.

Take that bit out, please; it's really rather unnecessary towards the character anyway.

Well, you could start by not posting massive gifs or spoilering them, no offense.

Could engage the enemy's fighters, which there will be.

Technically, couldnt a skilled enough force user, kill someone within the bubble of a Ysalmir, by say using force throw on a lightsaber, or a sort of force lightning bolt or such?

As the field only negates/influences the ability to draw on the force of those inside it, not the presence of the force itself in any sort of construct or such, to my understanding.

Well I meant that, the planet the crippled master and the rescued younglings survive on has ysalimiri on it which should in theory protect them from being sensed by force users. The only non-clone who even knows they are alive is the moff. There should be relatively few opportunities for an Inquisitor to explore his mind. Particularly since the only Inquisitors that can do that are the more powerful ones who are in the Outer Rim hunting Jedi and Sith Artifacts, not in the inner parts of the galaxy questioning Moffs. The only Inquisitors he/I might encounter are low-level ones seeking force sensitives, and they are not as well trained in the more subtle arts of the force. This comes from my limited knowledge of Inquisitors.

Well, if we're sticking with canon, according to the wiki the Inquisitorius would've officially been disbanded sometime before 0 BBY, so the only Inquisitors running around that you have to worry about should be the PCs. And even then, there are a number of other things that could help hide a Jedi Master from the Inquisitorius, such as hiding him on a planet that's strong in the Dark Side (which, if I recall, was how Obi-Wan was able to keep himself hidden on Tatooine) or keeping him near a wound in the Force (which is how Kreia and the Sith Triumvirate managed to keep themselves hidden from the Jedi).

Definately. Joruus/Joorus/Jooooruuuus/whatever-his-name-is got around the Ysalimiri by flinging rocks at Luke from outside the bubble. Kinetic energy is still kinetic energy. I'm not so sure about the lightning, though, just because I don't know if it's actual lightning or just more force fuckery.

Character App

Name: Cyrene Pelagia, Duchess Pelagia/Junia Pelarias/The White Lady

Age: Thirty-two

Bio: The history of the Tapani Sector is one of intrigue and strife, kept from bursting into violence only by the constant web of checks and balances in play between each and every house. A thin veneer of civility lies over this, wrought by time into something elaborate and elegant and altogether too convoluted for its own good. Many have likened this peace to an intricate lattice of coloured glass: a thing of great beauty and artistic talent, but fragile and in need of delicate handling. As analogies go it is certainly not inaccurate, for the Emperor broke the peace of the Tapani Sector with little more than words: pledging his aid to House Melantha over House Pelagia. Within the week the peace of the Tapani Sector was forever shattered, and House Pelagia with it. Cyrene turned twelve the day this happened.

That she survived at all is a testament to two things: the tenacity and grit of the Pelagia House guards. With her family's holdings reduced to rubble and ash and Melantha taking up position as the pre-eminent political authority in the Sector, Cyrene was forced to leave the life she had always known and become a fugitive, wanted for no reason other than the blood in her veins. For the first time in her life Cyrene found herself utterly alone; able to trust no-one, call on no outside resources, and garner no respect from her name even as the Empire and House Melantha hounded her at every turn. So Cyrene proved herself worthy of the title "Duchess Pelagia".

She rose to every challenge she faced, clinging to her identity and her heritage as tightly as she could. She repurposed the skills she had, developed new ones, pushed herself to be the best at everything she could be. When the House Pelagia heirlooms went on auction to further swell the Melantha coffers, Cyrene made sure to track who had what in their possession and how they treated it. Whenever she had the chance to do so she would arrange for the theft of those heirlooms, routing them back to her by the most circuitous routes possible. And when the hired hands of Melantha or the Empire managed to track her down and engage her, she made sure film the resultant combat. She made sport of her evasions, polishing her skills to such a degree she hardly considered the efforts directed against her to be a concern.

Still, however, Cyrene bore no real ill will towards the Empire. What they had done was appalling, it was true, but it was within the context of an ongoing political struggle between dynasties, and so slotted neatly into the Tapani concept of honour. No, it would be years after her life was shattered that Cyrene would turn her ire truly towards the Empire, after being caught in an Imperial punitive attack on a local population of Devaronians. Watching the entire enclave rounded up and summarily executed, Cyrene's noble detachment from the people around her was - for the first time in her life - well and truly shattered. And as flames danced in her eyes, she made a silent vow to the dead - Devaronians, Tapani, and any others she might bear witness to in time. She vowed that, with the fullness of time, she would not be a silent witness.

And so she began to travel the galaxy, interacting with various species and learning their ways, their arts, their culture and whatever knowledge they might possess. She worked within the hives of the Killiks and the gladiatorial pits of the Geonosians, studied in the elegant cities of the Selkath and Kaminoans and simply lived with the tribes and clans of the Mandalorians. She observed them, learned about them and what made them unique amongst all of the cultures of the galaxy. She observed the atrocities committed by the Empire, wrote each and every one down and then collected the evidence to prove it. She wandered the galaxy from edge to edge, then she met a man.

And the man told her of a way out. He told her of a collective who sought to bring the Empire down and reinstate the principles of the Republic once more, if she wanted to help. And, as a Tapani, Cyrene turned him down, told him that there must always be a ruling class for order and peace and justice to be truly necessary. And the two went their separate ways, both with more on their mind than when they had first met. But while the man's mind was full of fear and suspicion, afraid that he had revealed his hand to the wrong person, Cyrene went away with a nagging doubt in the back of her mind. And as she continued on her travels the nagging doubt grew, feeding on her experiences with cultures of all different kinds. It gorged itself on her wealth of experience and grew bloated, filling her mind.

And so she sought out the collective, specifically the one known as "Fulcrim". And, though it took her time, she found them. The Alliance. Rebels. Traitors, some might call them. But in the moment she met them they became allies, then confidants, then family. Adopting "The White Lady" as her moniker, Cyrene translated her talents away from the day-to-day life and study she was so used to and towards the covert (and occasionally not-so-covert) war which she was to fight. Where once she had wielded a vibrofoil, now she wielded people; contacts, allies, suppliers, spies, assets. Where once she weaved silk into clothing, now she weaved a web of finances so thick that her influence even began to seep into the Core and siphoned funds away from it clumsily at first, but with ever-increasing tact and confidence. She made inroads into elite social circles, charming and politicking her way through the Inner Rim under a veritable army of disguises. Most importantly she learned how to inject force into her words and manipulations: a raid here or an assassination there, helping where she could.

And as time wears on Cyrene has become increasingly involved with her web, spinning it thicker and wider with every passing year. Now, with four years of preparation and planning under her belt, Cyrene is ready to step her game up another level...but is she stepping into a game larger than she can handle?

Weapon: Silversong: A songsteel vibrorapier, Silversong is a typically Tapani weapon - elegant, near-perfect in its design and utterly lethal, even to those in armour. This is, at least in part, because Cyrene has used Silversong for longer than she can remember, the blade now little more than an extension of her will. Capable of surviving even a clash with lightsabres, Silversong has proved more than adequate against everything else it has gone through and, as a long-time heirloom of House Pelagia, Silversong is one of Cyrene's most treasured possessions.

Ship: Fiscality: The Fiscality is a Clone Wars-era Consular-class Cruiser, sold off by the Navy after the Declaration of a New Order. Since then, it has passed hands dozens of times before being acquired by Cyrene in auction. Stripping it out completely, Cyrene had its internal section completely rebuilt to bring it up to the very limits of what is legally allowed for a civilian to own. Since then she has used it as her personal transport: heavily armed enough to deter raiders, old enough to be unassuming, and unusual enough that those looking would have an easier time finding it.

Faction: Rebel Alliance

Rank: Benefactor?

Faction App

Faction Name: White Lady's Web

Leader: The White Lady/Cyrene Pelagia

Number of Members: No more than a few thousand directly and with knowledge, but over a trillion including employees, contacts, other human assets and others who don't know what they work for.

Number of Ships: Pushing for seven hundred across dozens of minor shipping companies, with around one hundred and fifty vessels designed solely for combat.

Types of Ships: Primarily freighters between twenty and two hundred metres, with a few dozen kilometre-plus transports and around twenty-five Heavy Cruisers and twelve Battleship-sized vessels. For the most part these are either old Clone Wars vessels such as Venators, Dreadnaughts, Consulars and Munificents, but some quantity of Imperial Navy surplus materiel has managed to find its way into her forces. Finally, where it can be hidden from the Empire, the Web includes Rebel ships such as X-wings or Assault Frigates to help bolster its own ranks.

Description: The White Lady's Web is equal parts secret society, rebellion splinter faction and hidden business empire. Comprised of small cells which each manage their own webs of commerce, information and political capital, the Web draws upon the talents for intrigue and subtlety of each of its members to manipulate events within the Empire and tear it apart from the inside. With investments stretching across dozens of industries and hundreds - or thousands - of companies under their direct or indirect control. While they are a long way from holding the influence needed to take Moffs to their knees, their web have been woven so thoroughly throughout the Rim that they can often sabotage select Imperial missions without any of their victims realising they have been victimised.

Backstory: The White Lady's Web was started with money raised by the sale of the bulkiest and least-portable heirlooms of the now-defunct House Pelagia. A modest investment into Imperial shipping lanes blossomed, money was shifted from place to place and the investments swelled. As Cyrene began to delve into the truly shadowy side of her heritage, her investments became more than just a source of income: money became access, leverage, power. Leverage then turned itself back into money and the cycle continued onwards, spiralling between the political and economical arena.

With Cyrene's growing awareness of the Empire's ever-increasing list of atrocities, what influence she had was turned to a secondary purpose: protecting those who found themselves in the Empire's sights. It was this which first brought her to the attention of the Rebel Alliance, and even when she first turned them down she found her peripheral activities overlapping with theirs. When she officially entered the Alliance her assets were merged with its own, and Cyrene found a new freedom as the Rebellion#s own experts worked with and tutored her in the arts of intrigue.

Over the decade to come, the White Lady's Web would expand in both size and influence as it reached it tendrils ever-further into the Empire. Proving to be a boon to the Rebels, it helped to fund their secession and provide them with access to equipment they would need desperately. But, with all thing in the shadows, it knows its time in the dark may come to an end at any time. Even as it reaches farther and farther, the Web prepares for the day it is exposed to the world...

While it would not survive a clash with lightsabres, Silversong has proved more than adequate against everything else it has gone through. And, as a long-time heirloom of House Pelagia, Silversong is one of Cyrene's most treasured possessions.

Hey Spindle, almost didn't recognize you with the new flag :p The app looks great, as always, so accepted! (One suggestion I might make for your weapon though: adding a cortosis-weave to the blade might not be a bad idea, as that would enable it to stand up to a lightsaber; just in case ;) )

I was originally going for something which sounded exotic and generally artistic to kinda tie in with her Tapani heritage. Actually going back over its Wookiepedia page, it apparently can resist lightsabres. So there goes the whole "fragile beauty" thing, but hey! Now I can duel the Inquisitors! I'll edit that part of the app, then work on an IC post for the morning.

And imma have to change my flag back at some point. My old one was far more recognisable.

And yo, Brus. How's it been?

EDIT: Also, is there anywhere I could be useful/annoying/in danger?

So...apparently I'm a decent writer. Um...wait, what?
Relativity, nukes in space, nukes in atmosphere, LASERs, MASERs, kinetic weapons, missile and kinetic CIWS, impactors and centripital force.

And, of course, for anything at all, you can always go here.

An older lightfoil might not be a bad idea either, they seem to have a pretty long history with the Tapani (and would probably be easier to carry around, or conceal if need be). It is definitely hard to beat the rapier for looks or elegance though (and as long as it can stand up to a lightsaber it should allow for some potentially fun dueling or sparring posts with all the lightsaber-wielders running around ;) ).

And that's better, that flag is definitely easier to spot :)

I've been good; busy, but good. How about you?

And you're welcome to join Whale and I in "liberating" some Imperial munitions on Bespin if you'd like. Could be a good chance for your character to search for evidence on illegal weapons being procured by the Empire, or something along those lines ;)
