In short, Australia's probably going to copycat the USA and net neutrality's gonna cease on us too.

Well, there is a chance maybe Australia and New Zealand could ignore the deal unless Trump really pushes them. I mean, this didn't stop Australia from legalizing gay marriage nationwide, and ANZ seems to do well with the Chinese. But then again, can ANZ and the Pacific Rugby Islands do anything against Drumpf?

Latvia does not have net neutrality. Neither did American internet for the whole of its existence until 2015. Surprisingly, if you listen to net neutrality advocates, the internet wasn't taken over by evil greedy companies shutting down their customers, and actually did quite well for itself.

Net neutrality is a government power grab centred around fearmongering that all these evil things will happen if the internet isn't "neutral", despite the internet doing pretty darn well for itself over the whole of its existence without it.

I did a quick google and found this article that claims :

The Latvian parliament is working on a draft law that will allow its telecoms regulator to hand out bigger fines to companies which violate EU rules on open internet.

Edit: Doesn't the EU have laws on Net Neutrality? Latvia has been a member since about 2004

If you "leave the internet alone", that means leaving corporations like AT&T and CenturyLink unregulated.

I don't think you understand that the internet is built on infrastructure, which is owned by someone. And that someone is not its users.
