Yes, unfortunately, as I mentioned, you aren't the only person or entity on the Internet- there are also quite a few multi-billion dollar businesses that support tens of thousands of jobs, and they can't just go play outside if ISPs start fucking with their websites.

Republicans are for states’ rights to implement Republican policy. When it comes to Democratic policy at the state level they’ll use federal power to attack and undermine it all day (see: tax bill, gun control)

If they were for state's rights they wouldn't start screeching whenever a state tries to write its own gun laws.

That isn't even remotely what net neutrality is about. Kindly read one of the numerous explanations that have been posted here or in the dedicated thread.

Can the world's mightiest naval fleet survive the perfect storm?

It was a once-in-a-decade display of American firepower.

Three US Navy aircraft carriers -- the largest, most sophisticated warships in history -- assembled off the Korean Peninsula, in a move timed to coincide with US President Donald Trump's first official visit to the region.
But behind the dramatic show of force, questions are emerging as to whether the US Navy is up to the challenges it faces in the Pacific -- from both a nuclear-armed North Korea and a strengthening China -- at a time when its top leaders acknowledge it lacks the money, manpower and weapons to ensure success. And when a massive corruption scandal threatens the ranks of dozens of its top officers.

Happy Thanksgiving to ya all :) (or if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, good day yo ya ;) )
So...shall we discuss how the most ludicrously over-funded navy on the planet is still somehow stumbling?

Root out the corruption in the Navy, then raise the Naval budget.

They've invested huge amounts of money in aircraft carriers that might not be very good, for a start.

Whatever happened to just building ships with guns that fired rounds the size of school buses? *sigh*

Some wanted to keep the battleships around, at least for shore bombardment. I think an accident got the people on the fence to decide to get rid of them along with the anti-battleshippers. I think I agree. Keep a hulking ship around that just blasts some shoreline? Naw.

They were relegated to the dust bin of history by big ships with flat tops that can launch many tiny flying thingies that can sink big ships with a minium loss of life and material.

I predict an expensive condo in Dubai. But first, a short stint in ClubFed and a lot of contract signing. Capitalism at work, right?
