Huh, I wasn't aware that we still had that kind of definition for rape. Not terribly surprising, I suppose.

Common sense says yes, so the only reason I can think of for this thread is to provide yet another vent for manosphere rage to yell "VAGINAS BAD."
Crimes committed by Muslims will be proof of a pan-Islamic plot and Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand, crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of mentally ill lone wolves who do not represent their professed belief system at all.
The probability of someone secretly participating in homosexual acts is directly proportional to the frequency and loudness of their publicly professed disapproval and/or disgust for homosexuality.
If Donald Trump accuses an individual of malfeasance without evidence, it is almost a certainty either he or someone associated with him has in fact committed that very same malfeasance to a greater degree.

I dont think that the definition of rape should exclude men. while rare it does happen and when it does the treatment that victims get is beyond horrible. Its almost like society wants to treat it like it doesn't exist.

Actually the reason behind this thread is to point out that in several areas male victims of rape are not recognised? Are we not allowed talk about issues facing men now?

I doubt it's as rare as you think. I think Gallo had a thread a while back which showed that numbers of men raped by women were similar to numbers of women raped by men.

OHHH that's Gauth new account? That makes much more sense then. Really though it's because of people like Gauth that such attitudes and laws persist. People point out that there is a problem facing men, such as rape not getting recognised by the state, and then get attacked for apparently being a misogynist.

Pointing out that manosphere members seek out pretenses to rage against feminism and women is a virtue? There isn't a bigger virtue signalling than "Men get raped too but feminazi control insures they're only ridiculed" if you painted it on a searchlight and flipped it on over the Gotham night sky.

Gauth it's highly evident that radical feminists don't want to acknowledge that men are in fact raped close to the same rate as women.

Your post is evidence of that:

By saying that you are claiming that the only reason why this thread exists is not to shed light on the fact that men are treated like dirt when they are victims of rape, especially when their rapist is a woman, but to claim that women are evil shows that you don't care about the male victims of rape.

That's the same ridiculous kind of oversimplification as "If you boycott Israel then you're anti-Semitic." Men get raped. But ranting about how evil women are suppressing recognition because they want men relegated to a slave sex toy class on a forum preaching to a choir is little more than virtue signalling instead of starting a campaign to get the laws changed.

Where exactly have I raged against feminism? The only mention of feminism in the OP is where Mary Koss explictly states that rape is a woman only issue. Am I now not allowed call her out on this because she's a feminist? I don't have a problem with feminists, I have a problem with those who deny men can be raped.

But really the fact that your first reaction to someone pointing out a legitimate concern that men face is to attack them and say they hate women just shows that you value scoring political points more than you value helping the victims of rape.

Feel free to point out where anyone has done that on this thread.

And as for the rest, how many campaigns have you started? And if I did start a campaign (not that I have the time or even knowledge on how to go about that) I would most likely come up against people like you who say that I'm only doing it because I hate women. In any case, raising awareness of an issue, even in just a small way is worthwhile. I'm sure quite a lot of people didn't even realise this was a problem with many legal systems, and now that they know about it it is the first step to combatting it.

Kind of a sweeping generalization. I think the numbers are rather minuscule to effect anything serious on that front.

The problem MRAs can't seem to avoid is the effort to focus on the "legions" of radical feminists who are spreading lies about what's really going on. Or even better. Women aren't really getting raped that much. Men have it worse.

Radical feminists aren't the problem. It's just a lazy simplification for a target to vent about.

Society is the problem. Men in particular. A man get's raped and invariably the response is along the lines of you lucky dog! If it's by another man then the view is you basically deserved it since you couldn't defend yourself.

You have to work on society and that will take time and effort.

A good thing though is the fact its being discussed much more then it has in the past.

Build on that rather then wasting time an effort over these "radical feminists" and they aren't really getting raped that much.....

Rape should be defined as a non-consensual sexual act.

2. Should the rape of a man and woman be treated differently legally? For example should those who rape a woman be given worse sentences?

No.

3. The CDC defines rape in such a way to exclude male victims, should this be changed to be more inclusive and what are the wider implications of this CDC policy?

Yes.

4. Do you agree with Mary Koss's statement above? If not how should such beliefs be viewed by society? Is she a sexist/misandrist bigot? Or do you believe, like her, that forcing men into sex is of lower significance than forcing women into sex?

I believe it happens far less often but that doesn't detract from its seriousness.

5. Is there a problem with how male victims of sexual assault and rape are viewed by society? If so, how can this be changed?

Yes, it has to do with social conceptions of masculinity and power, so that a deep shame is associated with it. A good bit more understanding and a rethinking and remodelling of gender roles is probably required.

From the Irish statute books that I posted earlier:

"4.—(1) In this Act “rape under section 4 ” means a sexual assault that includes—

(a) penetration (however slight) of the anus or mouth by the penis, or

(b) penetration (however slight) of the vagina by any object held or manipulated by another person.

(2) A person guilty of rape under section 4 shall be liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for life"

A woman can rape a man with an object, but the most important point is that a woman forcing a man to penetrate her is not included in this definition.
