alright its 1864, and Prussia declared war on me again and im fucking losing. Damn it prussia why.

I don't know if you're playing with mods, but for me they usually declare war on Austria first, which is allied with France and they get rekt and lose Silesia (how historical)

I am, playing with PDM. My allies are Sweden and Russia. Sweden's army is basically dead, we had some wins against the Prussians and Mecklenberg and occupied some land, then the prussians regrouped and crushed us so we lost that and now im losing ground to them. And Russia, had a massive republican guard revolt literally as the war began, so they have a ton of land occupied at the hands of Prussia and all of its little german buddies, and are facing most of their army and losing.

Im going to lose Schleswig to these fuckers, just know it.

on the plus ive done a lot of colonising in Africa and set myself up a decent sized colonial empire there.

But its a pain though, 4 factories and lots of people ill lose from it.


Also yeah its fun so far, ive only been playing it for two days, but there is a ton of more stuff added into it, so you have more events, nations and stuff like that.

Try the Weltkrieg too.

At least it's more stable in its current version than Kaiserreich. Sure, less nations with unique focuses...and definitely less conflicts...

I recommend playing as Princely Federation or as Brazil first. Far from conflicts and easy places.

Just roll it back to the last patch on steam, then it will work. Thats what i had to do.

France has a grand total of 314 brigades. The vast majority of them are exactly where you'd expect them to be, defending core French land to the bitter end. War in Europe is hell.

That's just what the AI does; it's why I don't colonise anywhere as a non-UK European, since the other Europeans send all their armies there because the AI is shit.
