Flag okay?

I'm new. I want to change my flag. I don't know if a Finnish nazi flag is okay.

If the subject material contains a swastika, or anything offensive in that regard that you know will do so, it is not okay.
If the subject material doesn't, you're fine and good to go.

On this topic, is the original, non-slanted Swastika allowed?

Moderation has loosened up on flags but in regards to flags it all depends on how the Nazi iconography is used if it's use is blatantly for the purpose of triggering people then no it's not okay. But if it's use is for the purpose of role playing then I might be okay. But all your answers can be found in the One Stop Rule Spot or Shop I don't remember but that's where questions about flags can be found.

Found the link: https://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=260044#002 if you need further info file a GHR (Getting Help Reqeust) the link is also in the One stop rules shop.

As far as I know, no swastikas of any kind are legal.

Not true. Most swastika flags get taken down because it's a Nazi thing or it looks like it might be a Nazi thing.

If it's clear that it's not a Nazi thing, those are allowed.

Finnish Nazi flag is a no.

Interesting. While I don't agree with Naziism or what they had done. I still feel if someone would like to use the symbolism of the ideology, they can. If someone feels offended, as long as doesn't contain any violent or "graphic" content then it should be fine.

I wouldn't risk doing it to make sure not to get in trouble with the moderators

AFAIK the "no nazism" policy came straight from Max Barry not the moderators, but someone'll have to check me on that.

Nevertheless Nazism allowed or not, the Finnish 'Nazi' flag predated the rise of Hitler. Moreover, it is still in use today (in the Air Force, Armed Forces General Staff and the Presidential Standard of the President of Finland), and to mix it with Nazi Germany is overly nonsensical, but that's just my opinion.

That's not a Finnish Nazi flag. Note the 45-degree angle of the swastika in the Nazi flag in the OP.
