I'm not too bothered. It probably does help with recruiting.
But it could be useful to know if someone claims the NRL is completely independent of government: it's not quite, and the military could be ordered to stop paying as retribution if the NRL did something the President really didn't like.
Either Congress legislates to replace DACA (as Trump asked them to) or Trump will keep DACA after all. Millions of other undocumented immigrants will be prioritized ahead of the "dreamers" and there's no option to just deport millions in one year. It requires a trial, and there are a very limited number of immigration courts.
The "dreamers" will stay one way or the other. Even if Trump was such an idiot as to pick on the immigrants Americans are most sympathetic to, he couldn't do much within the next three years (that's assuming Congress comes up with no replacement and DACA does end).
Why do you support deporting immigrants whose "crime" of entry, wasn't really a crime because they were minors? It seems a bit beyond what's necessary to be strict, it seems cruel and not just a bit wasteful.
The Immigration courts need to be radically expanded and changed, the system is wholly incapable of servicing the demand.
The demand should be curtailed in the first place. It should be harder than ever to enter this country legally or illegally. When do we finally have a large enough population in this country? Make it unattractive to mass immigration. It should be slowed to a trickle.
