But it could be useful to know if someone claims the NRL is completely independent of government: it's not quite, and the military could be ordered to stop paying as retribution if the NRL did something the President really didn't like.

Either Congress legislates to replace DACA (as Trump asked them to) or Trump will keep DACA after all. Millions of other undocumented immigrants will be prioritized ahead of the "dreamers" and there's no option to just deport millions in one year. It requires a trial, and there are a very limited number of immigration courts.

The "dreamers" will stay one way or the other. Even if Trump was such an idiot as to pick on the immigrants Americans are most sympathetic to, he couldn't do much within the next three years (that's assuming Congress comes up with no replacement and DACA does end).

Why do you support deporting immigrants whose "crime" of entry, wasn't really a crime because they were minors? It seems a bit beyond what's necessary to be strict, it seems cruel and not just a bit wasteful.

The Immigration courts need to be radically expanded and changed, the system is wholly incapable of servicing the demand.

The demand should be curtailed in the first place. It should be harder than ever to enter this country legally or illegally. When do we finally have a large enough population in this country? Make it unattractive to mass immigration. It should be slowed to a trickle.

Specifically for Dreamers, OK.

Not generally though, it would be dumb to give up that disincentive which applies to all illegal immigrants. If they're caught (not all are, some immigrate and leave again without being identified) that damages their future chances of citizenship. Compared with threats of prison, ICE detention and physical removal, making the threat costs the US government virtually nothing, it's just paperwork. I'm not sure why you'd give that up? Or maybe you meant only for dreamers and only a one-off.

Essentially proof you can improve our economy. Which on paper, sounds great, but makes it harder for farmers and laborers to get in.

You're saying that's better? It sounds slightly less cruel but still wasteful, and like anyone else they'll be prone to crime if legal ways of earning income are denied them.

And the NFL caves its support of players.
“Never believe that [fascists] are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The [fascists] have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

We do need more farmers though, would you rather immigrants have those jobs, or migrant workers?

Turns out, none exists. Feds don't release the amount of H2-A workers we have, but many farm owners claim their businesses stall without those migrants. That's not counting the illegal immigrants then.

The US does export food yes, but consumers would pay more for labor-intensive products like fruit and vegetables. Maybe they should (and Americans be paid however much is necessary to make them take those jobs) but the populist argument is that illegal labor actually benefits the consumers and by volume of sales also benefits the farm owners.
