Yeah, no, that's not what happened in the slightest. You're just doing your usual inane blathering about things you don't understand and trying to score points by intentionally (or accidentally, malice and stupidity and all that) misunderstanding people's posts.

Of course, I'm the one who believes in balanced budgets in good times. How "insane". Whatever you gotta do to cover up getting called on being wrong.

OR, this little thing call "The Great Recession" happened. It's generally accepted that it started under Bush and was due to years of terrible economic practices, like: Failures in financial regulation, reckless financial firms, Wall Street acting like assholes with excessive borrowing, etc...

You literally just admitted that you have been following this discussion, and therefore know where it started, but have been pretending that you don't, presumably in some facile attempt to annoy me. What the fuck else would you call that?

I was saying lack of regulation wasn't the problem, it was the general practice of bailing out banks that led to banks taking more risks, ergo housing bubble, ergo great recession. What did bush do, other than not reign in the banks anyways?

No I didn't. I said that the increase in the deficit due to Obama's policies from 2008 to 2016 is irrelevant compared to the benefits provided by said spending. Its almost like posts have context.
