Yeah it does that, it can get weird, and then weirder than weird.Wallenburg wrote:Part 2 to the post above, since apparently this game wasn't done with me yet.
Literally a couple in-game months after that post, my ruler dies and I switch to his 50-something son, who had been busy waging war against North African sultans. I decide to marry him to the same queen of England his father had married just a few months earlier (since she is still younger than him and he already has plenty of kids). I grant the eldest son some major holdings, give the other one a duchy, and otherwise split things up to satisfy the demesne cap.
Then I ride into battle to finish the war that the AI had already nearly won for me, and I die in the one battle I need to win. That guy's son becomes emperor and immediately conquers Morocco. Then I repeat the entire process, except this time I search for a good wife, because this new emperor has no children, and my younger brother is only happy with me because he loved our father so much.
I'm going to bed. CK2 is getting weird.

I have already launched a few revolts to lower crown authority to its lowest, capturing and skinning King Brandons wife alive as a warning. It makes a nice coat.

CK2 is one hell of a drug.
