A young man ends his life because of something he has seen on a videogame - what has this world come to? It's not a new phemomenon, quite on the contrary, but its still troubling.
At the heart of all of that, though, a young man still ended his life. My condolences to the family and friends, may he find the peace, which this world did not grant him. I will pray to Lodan Lir for him.

@Les Étoiles, @Nostalgic Mirror: Haven't seen you two around before - are you new? If so, welcome!
I'd say "Welcome to the looney barn of the WWW!" or something to that effect, but that job was already taken from me by a good demonstration.

I must be honest: there were times that I have found myself facing my own demons and asking myself if living is still worth it. To this day, I still think living is worth every struggle I face.

Now I can only pray to God for mercy on the young man's soul; his fate is now in His Hands. To anyone else feeling the need to off themselves for any reason--any at all!--YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I know not if there are numbers you can call where you are from, but for the love of all that is holy, please talk to someone who will listen.

Lonograd's government is not justified in what they say and do, they claim the followers of Ibn Nusayr and Ibn Saba are our brothers but they are liars oh Partisans of Ali we need to rediscover our heritage as lovers of the companions and understand that we are not Rafidha like the Persians. We are the students of Hussein and Ali not students of fire worshiping Magians from Persia! Lonograd's Alawite ruler is not a Student or Partisan of Ali he is of the camp of the Rafidha who would betray a true Imam such as our noble Zayd Ibn Ali the Twelvers, Alawites, and Ismailis are not Muslims nor are they true Shias.

@AnsarUlRasoolMovement that is such a stupid argument and extremist sounding statement. All true Muslims are Shias and all Shias are Muslims you may claim to be Shia but you are a Wahhabi-Zionist puppet, we are Students of Hussein you are not. Lonograd has done nothing wrong but defend itself from terrorist mercenaries being paid to destabilize the region for SACTO and the ALF is an organic movement that clearly serves the people.

@Les Étoiles, @Nostalgic Mirror: Well, then, you two, welcome! Have a nice stay!

@Bianca Allen: Interesting. So, the people of Kuronami name the animals they raise for their furs? I wouldn't have guessed that.
You see, I've been born a farmgirl as well, and been one until my 15th Spring. Although we mostly grew crops, we also had a few animals, most of which were unnamed because we intended to slaughter them at a later date.

@Chiya Ookami: Hey, there! I send your greetings to your brother towards the appropriate persons and there should be a postcard coming your way soon, if I know my colleague right. Your brother was assigned to help out with the Abhcan-Temple-School in Dumhach as an assistant to the groundskeeper - and Dumhach is quite a bit from Traverse. Still, one of the teachers there is a Priestess I know from my own training, we are in letter-contact regularly.

Well I can't speak for every farmer in the whole country and whether they do it or not but it is something we like doing in our family. I reckon it's because giving them names will make us mindful to take care of them and not shirk our daily chores. Kind of like caring for a close pet or each other.

@Bianca Allen: Selkie differ between Named and Unnamed animals, or ainmnithe and anaithnid so that the farmer doesn't get too attached to an animal he is to slaughter.
Pets are a different matter... they are Named, have a soul - every owner of a Guarding Fox or a Grey Wolf will tell you that. Pets are more then fluffy self-moving pieces of fur one can cuddle, but partners and confidants, co-workers and family members.

@Chiya Ookami: No problem.

@Choi Envatilia: Hi to you, too. Occupation-wise, I'm Priestess of Lodan Lir nowadays, as well as a Lieutenant of His Arrowmaidens and music teacher. More importantly to me personally, I take care of a girl I regard as my little sister and love her as such. And you?

I'd just like to say when Rafiq came on my show I could tell he was a very intelligent young man with a bright future, it's disturbing some lunatic would come up with a game like this. If I am President I will crack down on this insanity and put pressure on the organizations behind it. I will also conduct investigations into the fraudulent activities of the Redshield foundation, I will get a very special attorney and put James Redshield in jail for screwing over Americans and other innocent people across the world. We need to put our foots down to this modern form of Slavery from Anarchist terrorists protestors, to Redshield banking scams, to the world expecting America to police them.

It is very fun and yeah we do get to chat with some of the tourists. Of course some are just rude but many are nice and kind to us locals. Of course mainland winter is the peak season so things will slow down soon but it picks up once winter in the far north sets in and then world travelers come.

Thanks to the many educators who have encouraged their students to learn the benefits of technology. There is much work to do to help rural communities become more connected to the big cities and it's thrilling to see many rural users taking to it. To those in those communities remember you are the lifeblood of our economy and keep working hard.

@Choi Envatilia: Still, not bad. Many of my students have weekend-jobs, too, mostly in the forestry and with the fishermen. Some of the older girls work in restaurants, not only as runners, but also as waitresses, which is fine as long as it does not hinder their studies - and I can guarantee, that their employers are very careful to make sure, that their education proceeds well and even help out to the best of their ability.
A little anecdote, for example, is, that I visited three of my students, logdraggers, the lot of them, on their workplace one weekend and stumbled across them getting quizzed by their foreman about German, in German and doing quite good.

@Yughanan_ULTRANATIONALIST I think you're just upset that Progress exists for a reason and dictatorships never work and you're blaming your failures as a leader on irrelevant things to take the blame off you, it's a common tactic for Third World Reactionary dictators. Anime actually promotes a lot of good values like progress, tolerance, and looking to the future for hope.
