July 15th 1974, the United States, United Kingdom, French Republic, and Greater Germany finally step in to the nearly 50 year stalemate in the Chinese Civil war, all the while the USSR supplies the People's Republic of China with fuel, training, and weapons.
In France the situation of losing it's hold of it's colonies is taking it's toll on the war battered nation, and in a desperate bid to hold on to the resources it so desperately needs, starts ethnically cleansing certain regions of dissidents and maintaining an iron like grip on it's colonies. All the while communist protests are starting to be ruthlessly squashed under the heel of a progressively more fascist government.
In the UK citizens rejoice as they land the first man on the moon, after years of reverse engineering V2 wrecks and researching rocketry. And while thousands of Nazi politicians and SS soldiers lay in unmarked mass graves across the German countryside, remnants of their legacy still remain.
