Its basically the original CSA national flag with 13 stars and the Georgia state coat of arms on it.

True, I said NC because I think they had that layout before the civil war, but I'll wiki that real quick. Nope, I forgot it was a blue bar instead of the blue canton, but you learn something new everyday. And yes, it had the coat of arms but they chose that gold colour and it reminded me of Indiana's gold and blue flag.

I love the Maryland flag, even though I hate the government of my state, the flag will always be a source of pride. The flag combines the banner of the founder of the Maryland colony, Cecil Calvert, and the banner of his mother's family. I'm pretty sure around 5% of the Maryland economy is solely from MD flag themed apparel and bumper stickers.
